The technician that came in was very friendly and handled the situation very well. He came on Tuesday, evaluated the dishwasher and realized we needed a new part. He found the part was in-stock and came back the next day and resolved the issue. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is simply because I submitted the claim on Saturday, and the appointment could not be scheduled until Tuesday. I did receive an email from Choice Home Warranty apologizing for the delay, which was great. Communication is key! It wasn't the end of the world, but it was more than 24 hours from the time I input the ticket.

What I liked about this warrantee is that they were so quick to address and rectify my problem. My heat pump died. They had to replace that and the heating system inside to match the new heat pump. A new unit was ordered and available a week later. The installer arranged to come at my convenience days later. They did a good job. I am pleased with the new system, also.

At first, I was a bit hesitant to choose Choice Home Warranty due to the bad reviews I found on the web. My previous provider raised their price two years ago so I thought I'll give CHW a try. My first year (last year) with CHW was actually quite unpleasant. The first time I requested service, it took over 3 months to even get a service properly scheduled and get my refrigerator repaired, that was after I asked them that I'm cancelling my contract. I spoke to a supervisor who offered me a better deal to give them another chance and for me to remain with them. I believe in second chances, so I did. This year, I had a water leak and needed an urgent repair. When CHW cannot find a contractor to service my order right away, I was given the Claim Reimbursement Option and look for a contractor on my own. My water leaked got fixed the same day, submitted my claim and I got the reimbursement check within 30 days. I would say their process has greatly improved. What needs improvement thought is their phone representatives' courteousness and better customer service. I'm giving CHW 4-star rating for now.

The short phone call to set the whole process in action was all it took. Followed by a technician visit to confirm the problem and get approval from CHW the next day. The technicians arrived early the following day, and installed the new parts and our furnace was up running. The technicians were always early and very polite and explained what was needed and showed us photos of the repaired equipment. We were very satisfied!!

I loved the quick service and the professionalism of your staff member. He was able to fix our refrigerator while others failed at this task. What I do not like it the flood of solicitation emails this company sends out. Why are you soliciting me when I am already a paying customer? Why so many even if I was not a paying customer? It is annoyng and would be a turnoff to me if I was seeking home warranty services. I found you online on my own. Because of this, I would hesitate to recommend you to others. I am sure others would have no problem doing the same. Even with this review, you are asking me if I am a paying customer!!!! This is an insult since you collect money from me for your services. REMOVE YOUR CLIENTS FROM THE EMAIL LISTS!!!! Do your research like the consumers theirs.

I really liked the technician. He did a good job and explained to me what the problem was. He took care of it and was very cordial. What I did not like was the wait time and the not knowing between the time I called for service and the time the work actually got done. I can only assume that Choice Home thought my problem was not an emergency and therefore could wait until Monday even though I called the Saturday before. It would have been nice if there was some verbal correspondence (as I only talked to a machine) to let me know exactly what was transpiring and to confirm that a two day wait would be ok. It would have alleviated the anxiety I was feeling over the issue of my kitchen sink leaking.

Our first two experiences were not good. The vendor that was selected to resolve our issues were not capable of fixing the problem and then the second one brought the wrong parts and didn't return for more than a month and this was before the so called supply chain issues. Since those two experiences we had the ice maker in our refrigerator go out and the vendor selected did not know how to fix it. He replaced a part that was not needed that did not fix the problem and when we brought it to his attention he did not do anything to fix it. We eventually went out on our own and found a qualified technician who diagnosed and fixed the problem immediately

I have a Choice Home Warranty. My refrigerator and freezer quit working. I reported it via email. They notified of the date and the service provider. The service person came and made diagnosis. It was about 12 days waiting for parts. That probably would have been the case with anyone. Then the service person came back and fixed it. Happy with Home Choice.

The personnel that you sent out were good. They knew what they were doing. Very professional. My concerns, When putting work orders in. It takes the company a couple days for the people to come out. When a c's and water heaters go out. That's the big concern the homeowner. We need somebody in one day to fix it or come out and look at it. Thank you.

I really liked that Choice scheduled my garage door service. What I did not like is that the additional cost of $150 for something I thought was covered with my $75 deductible. I had to call Choice Customer Service and clarify that the garage door repair purchased did not include certain things which is not something someone like me who is not trained would know. It would be good to have a printout of exactly what is covered, specifically and what is not covered by Choice Home Warranty

They diagnosed the problem with my heat pump, had a new part that was needed in their truck and repaired the heat pump. Then they made sure the entire system was operating properly. What I like is usually they find a service company rather quickly and get me back up and running. This last time was very frustrating. Very very frustrating. Our refrigerator broke the day before Christmas we place the call we didn’t even have a guy come out for over a week to look at it, I ended up paying $150 to another refrigerator company to have them come out and if it was going to be less than $500 I was just gonna pay out-of-pocket to have it fixed that person said no it’s gonna be expensive repair so we called and told choice warranty that we had a company they came out the same day I called them they can repair it within two or three days versus the company they had scheduled that wasn’t coming out for a week they said nope cannot do it. This guy didn’t even make it out within the seven days. I think it was closer to nine or 10 before he came out. He spent 10 minutes said I know what the problem is, he said I’m gonna order parts after I get approval he got approval I believe the next day we didn’t even see him again for three more weeks. He put the parts in it did fix it and the refrigerator is up and working in our garage I couldn’t wait that long. I went out and bought another refrigerator until you have to live with no refrigerator, you cannot realize how inconvenient that is. That was a very unpleasant experience for us. Other than that one usually choice home warranty has met our needs.

Reported an issue with my electrical outlet, CHW promptly sent an electrician who quickly assessed the problems & fixed them very quickly and effectively for the normal service fee - replaced one switch and removed an extra sensor in a bulb that was causing it to wink. I am very satisfied with the service & would recommend CHW for home warrantee services.

I've had 3-4 different home warranty companies over the past 10-15 years. Choice is BY FAR the VERY BEST! I've actually been shocked at how easy & professional this company has been to being attentive to my claims, since I've had horrible issues in the past with other warranty companies. He also was neat and cleaned up the little mess that was made from packaging He took extra good care of my house, and explained what was going on and was on time. I have had 2 service calls, one for the ice maker in my refrigerator and one for our HAC, I received prop service on both and the problem was solved immediately. I have used other Home Warranty service companies and the service did not compare to the service we have had through Choice Home Warranty. I have been with American home shield for 5 years multiple times i had to wait over 3 months and few times they had no one to come for the warranty problems because they were unable to find contractor. I have had home warranty for over 7 years. American Home Shield is the priciest. Select Home Warranty sent a TV tech for a plumbing job..which was an automatic cancellation of my policy on my part. I have had Choice Home Warranty for 4 years. So far they have been the best with a 90% coverage on my claims. My latest claim was for my split AC, leaking, not cooling. Claim was put in Nov 2022 after several visits from AC technician, and contacting Fujitsu in Feb 2023 my AC unit claim was approved for replacement!! ..however there is a yearly cap. I just wish my claim that I placed in 2022 was approved in 2022. So that I can fix my second unit in 2023.

There were two technician that came to my house within the past two days - one came for the washer, which is OK. He explained to me that the washer would cost more to repair than buying another. But, I have not heard what cone next, and buy a new one or will there be any partial costs added towards a another washer. . The second technician was awesome. He came in. He checked the situation out. He realize what needed to be done and he did an awesome job, he also called and I was able to reach out to him. The first technician was from Sear. It is very difficult to communicate with them because they only use text and email you cannot reply back to the email or you can if not reply back to the text and when I tried to do a live chat, they only give you pre-program questions - they schedule appointments from 5 to 8 is difficult for someone who has to work you need to be able to have a timeframe so that people can make better arrangements .

The technician arrived 4 days after my call to CHW. It started on Saturday so I understand the delay in checking out my non functioning microwave. Being in our 80’s we use the microwave all the time so we are totally lost without it. The technician was great, but had to order parts, which arrive today 2/9/23. Then they DON’T return for the repair until 2/13/23 so no more cooking 4for 4 more days. I understand things do not happen overnight and I commend CHW on your commitment to your customers.

They scheduled repair appointment quickly and service tech kept me informed on his arrival time. He told me that my ice maker was bad and needed to be replaced. He did put everything back together and ordered replacement. The odd thing was that from that time forward, my ice maker worked better than it had when the refrigerator was first installed. I called and told them I didn't need a new one, so a different tech came out and I explained everything and he simply took the new one back. Ice maker still working fine 🙂.

I called for service of my hot water heater. It was right around New Year's so I had to wait for service. No problem waiting it was the Holiday. They sent out a top notch service man. He did testing to find a out it was a really bad burnt element. He had to call his company to get authorization to replace. Then it was fixed. It did make a little mess due to the leaking out of water. I love my home warranty service.

Really did a good job , Specially when I complained about the first contractor they sent me , ( SEARS SERVICE) the guy they send , never called and never came to the house. SEaRS service is really bad… I commend 5V Electronics, and Edy is really Nice and very patient. He calls us every time …. We used the online platform to schedule an appointment for a leak with our garbage disposal. Within 24-hours we had an email with an assigned plumbing company and a date/time for the appointment. On the day of the appointment, we were notified when the technician was on the way. He arrived, diagnosed the problem, received authorization to replace the garbage disposal, and replaced it on the same visit. We were very pleased with the entire transaction.

The service member was very courteous. I had already discovered how to remedy the issue with our microwave. That discovery was just 15 minutes prior to his arrival. I explained the situation, but knew I would still pay my deductible. He came on in to make sure it was working properly. Upon looking at the microwave he commented that he had never seen a microwave like ours before.

I have insurance with Choice Hone Warranty. They are a good company that have did many things for my home. Recently my heat pump failed and they had it replaced for me. I thought it would be free but it wasn’t. I paid for the condenser and the labor. They paid for the air handler and they got a condenser for me at a great rate. The technicians they sent were great.

Although Choice Warranty apologized for not being prompt, I thought that they were very prompt in addressing my repair issue given that I filed my request on the weekend. Advanced Heating & Cooling was the company that showed up to perform my A/C service. They were professional and fast. Choice Warranty is much better than my previous provider and at a better price. The coverage is also much better. I am extremely happy that I made the switch to Choice Home Warranty.

The tech the approval time and the ordering of parts was all excellent. I would have given 6 stars on that part of the service. The only reason for the 4 star was because my initial call in customer service had some language barriers and did not understand my explanation of things. He immediately said my claim was not valid. I tried to explain in different way multiple times and he still could not comprehend what I was explaining to him. I eventually just said to send a tech out and that I would explain to him. He did and it was great service from them on out. We had to have a furnaced replaced and they did it in a timely fashion and with no hassle.

I am very pleased with the friendliness of the customer service communication, which is why they get 4 stars, but coverage is not impressive and the contractors sent to our home are very subpar. Sometimes I feel, we have more experience than the service people have, and this is concerning. When a claim is declined, to get any reasonable explanation as to the reasons, the explanations are relayed by unknowledgable communicators who really have no way to research with any confidence as to the reasoning. When a dispute is submitted and a second contractor is sent to inspect, even when the original claim appears to be inaccurate, the Choice Home Warranty company won't override their original inaccurate claim results. So, it is useless to get a second opinion because they are unwilling to even compromise with the different investigations for repairs. When I have spoken to independent repair companies, they roll their eyes with the reports the original claims contractor states. Disappointing that obvious repairs inside the home, are not being covered, when they should be. Also a couple of times, these service calls were not even repaired, just giving me a 1 sentence opinion about the problem and then charging me for 2 service calls when only 1 repair was resolved. Example-kitchen freezer water line froze up and garbage disposal leaked. Same service call-2 seperate charges-told me to thaw my frozen waterline and tightened the disposal connection. He literally did nothing but give me a 1 sentence statement about the water dispensers frozen line. No tools, no inspections-just a bill.

My rating is based on response and professionalism. I like the way you address the requests so quickly. The people you have sent here so far have been very professional in checking the refrigerator but the problem is still there. I can not keep paying for service calls for the same problem. I wish the problem with my refrigerator could be solved. I don't know when the knocking is going to happen but it does during day and night at unpredictable times.

The service is great. I had a plumbing issue under the Bathroom sink and my water heater died, on a Friday night. The service man first came, in 4 days, to diagnose the problems and then submit it. After it is approved, another service man came to fix it. The water heater, on the other hand , they had to order. I was without hot water for 12 days. I took one cold shower, which was unbearable. It gave me an ice-cream headache for the rest of the day. Thanks to the YMCA and friends for the use of their shower. I heater water to do dishes. The wait was beneficial. They replace it with a high efficiency water heater. I had to pay $65 service charge, for diagnose of the plumbing issue, and $65 for the water heater, on the same day. Then $300 for the water heater, but $0 for fixing the plumbing. I gave them a 4 star due to having to wait 12 days for hot water.
