Last time I tried to use the warranty was for the garbage disposal. When I entered my information, the system rejected it. I had to call someone in customer service. They are working on their website. It is confusing. It is cheaper than American Home Shield.

Used to think it was very good but with the last service I feel very foolish. The plumber that came took away the broken water heater but that wasn’t covered under the service so I had to pay that separately. It is ridiculous. I wasn’t too pleased when they told me.

Had to come back for the water heater because they only replace an element the first time. The technician has to come back and the element was frozen. I tried to call Choice and then I got the go ahead to replace it. I was without a water heater for like two weeks.

Prior to signing up with choice home warranty, I spoke with the sales person and ran through a litany of hypotheticals to see exactly what they cover. Thus far, we have called choice home warranty seven times, and each time they tell me it is not covered. This company is a complete scam. Additionally, a company choice home warranty hired, sent a man out to fix my dishwasher. He was rude, condescending, and did not fix my dishwasher, but instead cut all of the wires back there. He was not an electrician and had no business cutting wires. I called choice home warranty to complain about the man cutting my wires , to which they replied, they only cover ware in tear On a dishwasher, not severed wires. I read explained that the only reason the wires were severed was because of the man they hired. They denied this claim and told me to file an appeal to which I did. Then, they denied my appeal. I am sick to my stomach that I gave this company $3000 for a three-year contract. Choice home warranty has no intention of providing any service, their scam is to take your $3000, and deny every claim you submit. It is obvious that customer service team is well trained to say " we do not cover this, it's in your contract". I make sure to tell as many people as I can to never sign up with choice home warranty.

The service techs that come are very good, the issue is it takes many days to get service. The cost of the service far exceeds the results. I was totally out of heat for many days waiting for help. U can't reach a live person on the weekends. The sales person falsely stated that service should be at the home the same day or next day. With my two calls it was several to many days.

I called chw with a claim for our washer and dryer. I was told this would be a SINGLE service call fee.$75 when this person showed up in his car, No tools he looked at the washer and said he had to order tension rods and he came up with that by pushing on the drum. Thats it! Didn't touch the dryer, didn't listen to what I said was the problem. Then he said its $150 because of two appliances one of which he didn't even touch. I get an email from chw saying they scheduled an appointment for Feb 25, so I called the "Repair person " and told him we wouldn't be home the 25th and he said they don't have the parts yet anyway and he would let me know when they came. Then I called chw and explained this person charged me $150 instead of 75 and the customer service person said they would get my $75 back when they could reach the vendor who by the way has no website, no address only a cell number. Never heard from anyone, chw or the vendor. Now chw said I have to prove I paid this crook and that if they don't reimburse me that chw would comp my next service call? So I'm out $150 ? Because chw doesn't know who they're sending to peoples homes? I will NEVER call chw again and you better believe this review you've been wanting is going on Yelp and any place else I can think of! Unbelievably bad business on Choice home warranties part.

I had just started paying for the service the beginning of January but my policy didn't go into effect until February, so they denied my first request.

I got estimated for the refrigerator replacement but they only gave me very little, not as much as I wanted to replace the whole refrigerator. I have to put on money out of pocket half of the price to buy a new one, so I'm not very satisfied with that.

I have an issue with my registration my food is going bad easily. A Tech was sent out from Sears It worked ok for couple of days and went dead again. The contractors they retain are very low quality. I have had systems made worse by the technician, I have personal items turn up missing, and have had appointments rescheduled multiple times. The service fee is too high for someone on a limited income and you still get the that’s not covered mantra.

THEY DO NOT LIVE UP TO THEIR AGREEMENT! They determined our over the range GE 1800 w microwave needed replacement. They did not replace & install as the warranty states. Instead they opted for a clause where they offer you a Lowe's gift card for about 1/3 of the value, claiming it is not based on retail costs but costs they are able to obtain. I contacted our state attorney general's office and they told me there were already 11 claims filed against them in 2.5 months in 2022 and too numerous ones to count prior to that. BUYER BEWARE! Good thing it wasn't my air conditioning system. A total waste of money!!!

I called to have a service done for my a/c to figure out why the air was not flowing throughout my home. I told them them It wasn't the unit because It broke last summer and was fixed. It now was not distributing air flow correctly. I made 2 claims for a/c and ductwork because I was unsure of what was causing this issue. My claim was filled and a very good technician came out to service. He diagnosed the problem and which he said could be fixed. He emailed his findings to Choice and did not hear back. I had to call and find out what was going on. I was told that I had to show that the a/c had been fixed before they would move forward. I'm thinking this means from the past summer since I was not a customer with you to show that it's not a preexisting problem. I sent in my invoice from the repair and didn't hear anything for over a week. I called the case manager and she informed me that it was received and would be under review. I waited over a week again with no response. I called my agent again and she said she moved it up the list and would let me know something soon. I never heard from her again but did receive an email saying that they can't move forward until the problem is fixed. So I emailed my agaent back asking what else they need. I sent them what I had about my unit being fixed. This is not even the same problem I had the past summer. So I'm guessing they are not going to cover any ac work until I fix the problem. My question is why even pay you every month if I still have to pay out of pocket for repairs. Should have never switched from my former company but Choice was rated #1 with a better price. Companies like this are all a scam. Take your money and when things happen give you the run around or find a way to cheat you! Extremely dissatisfied and plan on cancelling my service and possibly letting BBB know what type of service is provided here.

Seemed like a good value when I started. The people that are responsible for reading the claims don’t read them. For example for our microwave we had all the parts replaced and it is not fixed. We had three different repair people come out and after four months it is still not fixed.
