I have had an ac that has been up for replacement for over a month. Techs have told them its to old to find parts and its break down from wear and tear. At this point its a breach of contract on their end, I have all phone calls recorded and i have all emails and correspondence printed and handed to a lawyer to presue if they dont get this ac done in the next week.

Ms S I have been very very disappointed in CHW. My ac went out 3weeks ago. A tech was sent and he installed the wrong capacitor which caused me ac unit to go out completely!!!! I was allowed to find my own tech and have them look at the system. They concluded that the high amperage of capacitor caused my system to fail completely!! So I had them file thier diagnosis. Choice has given me 3 different sites to file the claim. Only today 6/30 I got email with ANOTHER site to file!!@ this is outrageous. No one should have to go thru this. Directions by cus service should be clear. My wife and I have called or emailed at least 25 times trying to resolve this matter. I could have had it replaced by now but Choice would not reimburse me at all! Can you please help resolve this matter. My home is hot and very uncomfortable right now. I've asked for a supervisor or manager and was refused access. This is very poor service and sub par customer service....I oay my premiums and expect quality service in return policy#258344127! My service call fees should be refunded and given 6 months free!!

My last call was for a clogged drain and leaking water faucet they refused to cover the faucet saying it was too old. When I appealed this decision the representative failed to respond. I reached after several days He was indifferent and rude. Not an appeals person. He was hard to reach and then never bothered to get back to me. They respond quickly and in a timely manner. But some of the things that we wanted covered, they hardly had. We went from a $45 co-pay and then it jumped up to $90. I felt like that was an expensive jump, especially when other people who just started using Choice are paying $60 for their co-pay.

It's kind of difficult to get somebody to talk to. It is always automated on the phone or on the computer, and sometimes when you have problems around the house you'd like to talk to somebody to explain to them what is going on. I trust the people that they send to my house. I've have a pool and two years ago I had problems with my heater on the pool. The pool guy that they sent out, he cut the heater off and said they would come back to fix it and that never has happened and I cannot get hold of him and the warranty company didn't help.

I couldn't get help when I needed it. It was a Saturday night and they wouldn't answer the phone several times and then when they did they told me if they could do anything that it might take several days. I just used a thousand dollars of my own money to fix it so I'm not happy with the company at all. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. They are highly unreliable.

The experience I've had has not been good. Several people that were supposed to get back to me in the situation that was an emergency at the time did not. We had a lot of problems dealing with all of the people. Our central air was not working in Texas. They were supposed to get back to me and try to get somebody there because we're seniors. I have COPD. My husband has breathing problems too now that he got back to us. Then somebody told us that we we can contact a local air conditioning and they gave us the address to submit it which I did. They initially declined. They said it hadn't been appropriately put through and that we were not going to be reimbursed. I worked it out. We're getting $200 back within a month or something, it was more than the $65 that we paid, but we did get it. We're waiting to be reimbursed. It was a terrible experience. We are unhappy with our first involvement.

I like the price. My dishwasher broke and they wouldn't replace it. They offered me a buyout a very inexpensive buyout. And I'm really very pleased. When I try to call them I can't speak to anyone and when I finally do it's a case manager and I have to wait a long time to get to the case manager. It seems like they try to do everything automated through the phone line. And It's not very difficult. And they have a set way of dealing with anything that exceeds a certain amount if your repair is over a certain number of dollars.

Usually I have to do all the legwork myself to get someone to come out and do repairs which is kind of defeats the purpose of why I signed up. I needed a garage door opener repaired and they couldn't find a company to come out and fix it so I had to go out and find my own and pay out of pocket and then wait for over a month to get reimbursed. The price keeps going up in the service keeps getting worse.

I cancelled my old warranty with a rival company because of bad service. I am now getting somewhat similar service from Choice. The garage door company has told me they have had several arguments with Chice not wanting to replace my garage door opener motor. The logic board that was broken has been unavailable for over a month because the part was so old and no longer available. When I get fed up and call to complain, then I get the answer that things were finally approved that morning, but they were waiting on the garage door company.

The person came, charged me half the fee and referred me to someone to buy another refrigerator because he said it would take roo long for to get the request approved for the part and for to order it and for it to come back. Contractor left a valve leaking because he couldn't get authorization to fix it. Only has a $100.00 maximum without approval. Called his office and was told they had till day's end to submit request. I placed a claim for my hot water heater. The tech came but was not familiar with how to fix my tankless hot water heater. The technician told me he had to leave to go get a part and he had to submit the request to Choice. He insisted I pay him the $85 service fee before he left and told me he was going to get the part and coming right back. HE NEVER CAME BACK! And every time I called Choice they told me they were waiting for the tech to submit information to them and kept telling me to just wait. The reps kept telling me I didn't have to do anything, just wait. Technician still NEVER CAME BACK and now the claim has been closed. Choice is now telling me the tech never submitted the info and my claim has been closed! They told me I have to create a new claim and pay a new $85 service fee. I'm furious because I paid the service fee for an issue that has NEVER BEEN RESOLVED! I asked to speak with a supervisor but was told one has to be requested and would call me within 24 hours. I never received a call from a supervisor and was told when I called back that a supervisor was never requested! Sooo I requested another supervisor and was told (again) that one would call me within 24 hours. Supervisor did call the 2nd time but I had just missed the call because I was at work, however, I called Choice right back just 1 minute later! Rep told me supervisor called once and left me a voicemail stating that there is NO WAY around me having to create a new claim and paying a new service fee! I was then told that I cannot get another supervisor to call me because one did but was a missed call! I was told that the supervisor will tell me the same thing, that I'd have to submit a new claim and pay another service fee. My family has been waiting for months and have been having to take cold showers because the tech never fixed the hot water heater and I PAID for a service I NEVER received and am being made to pay again! The reps all stick to the script and aren't helpful one bit! It's like they don't even understand what my issue is. And to not be able to speak with a supervisor for a resolution if the customer service reps can't help is ridiculous! I also do customer service for a huge global corporation and I know exceptions can always be made even if it's only the supervisor that can do it! I feel so taken advantage of and not helped at all!

CHW failed to order my part for a month even though they insisted the claim had been approved. I kept insisting something was not right and no one at CHW would do anything about it. Customer service is horrible. No transparency as to claim status. Supervisors cannot take action to fix a problem. All they can do is email the authorization department or purchasing department. Neither of these two departments will contact you to fix a problem.

They said it was a capicitor which it wasn't!!!! So after me paying them $75 too come out then paying for the capacitor out of my pocket as well which was $65 more dollars!!!!! These people were a complete joke!!!!! I had too have air because my mom has dementia so I had a company from in town too come out and fix it!!!!! On 2/6/23 I called for a leak from the circulating pump on the water heater and was told I would be contacted by a company to assess the damage for an $85 service fee. On 2/9 I received a response from OPG that I had an appointment set for 2/13/23. I responded that there were 2 80+ year olds and we were without toilet facilities and the leak was worse. I had to shut off the water. I wasn't told that I could bypass the pump and we were without water for a week and a day. When the plumber arrived, he showed me how to bypass the pump and would submit the request for a covered replacement pump, but I was responsible for paying for the modification to install the new pump. I called to speak with the case manager who told me that it would cost $250. The pump could not be installed without the modification which consisted of cutting and soldering new pieces to the then existing tubing to fit the connectors. When the plumber brought the new pump it was without the timer the original pump had but that Choice would not pay for an exact replacement. I looked up the original model and found it to be $120 whereas the replacement was under $60. She told me that they were not responsible for emergencies. While the work was done well by both plumbers we were not happy with the attitude of the Case Manager and still feel that we received a product that is worth less than the original price.

Paid for the ultimate plan which was their most expensive after purchasing a new home. We had an issue with our ductwork that prevented heat from reaching toddler daughter's bedroom. Technician came out and recommended repair. Claim was denied with reason being "Technician did not recommend repair". I spoke with the technician who said he absolutely recommended a repair. Waited a week for an appeal and spoke with a manager who continued to deny claim. I told the manager "the claim was denied because it said technician did not find repair needed but when I spoke with him he said repair was needed." Manager continued to deny but all of a sudden the reason for denial was "that type of ductwork work is not covered". Paid highest amount of money to buy best plan and then was denied on a repair needed to bring heat to my child's bedroom. Manager was nasty and disrespectful. I will never use their service again and I will tell any friends and family to stay far away from Choice Home Warranty.
