after many tries I finally got thru to case manager for my claim. I was told that the track was the problem and the system needed rewiring. I asked for a copy of the report and was told to contact the contractor. I did and was told the problem is the Sensor. Choice has to pay more attention

The part that I liked was that the service was quick. The part that I didn’t like is that when they determined that my dishwasher was not worth fixing, they gave me a gift card for Lowe’s. That will not even pay for half a dishwasher that matches mine. I also have to pay to install it myself

If I could give a zero rating, I would. Choice does not honor their word, they pay for as little as possible, they highly escalate costs, and they will not prorate back to me the cost of the warranty if cancelled as I was told they would when I purchased the warranty in the first place. Do NOT choose Choice Home Warranty!!!!

I called to have service done. And I had a contract for a certain amount of pay and they arbitrarily raised it with no notification. I don't understand the policy of the contract if it's not balanced. So I would never recommend them. I would never use them again.

In two weeks I can not get status of my down dryer. Instead of trying to resolve customer issue, we issued another request. No follow up to replace supplier or help resolve the customer issue. If any company did this with their customers they would have escalated or found way to resolve. "0" is too high a rating.

Customer service all foreigners without English capability. Communication with vendors is poor. They don't receive the approvals to proceed until you call back and pester Choice Home Warranty. I've had lots of difficulty for the few requests I had. Vendors were fine.

I am trying to use my warranty for my furnace now, but they keep telling my furnace guy that they're not receiving the pictures that I send. I've uploaded them twice. So I'm not very happy about it. I probably wouldn't recommend Choice to a friend anymore after my experience right now.

It takes too long to get assistanceto get the job completed. It takes weeks to get completed. The the technicians are really good. But if a job cannot be completed at one time, then I have to wait a week and then it rolls into another week for Choice to approve and scheduling goes into another week. Getting service completed satisfactorily takes way to Long. 2-3 days to finish that is routine a job I can understand. Sc0heduling to complete a job is way to long, when it rolls in from 1 week to another. Because of this, considering canceling my policy.

This company has no regard for the insured...when your refrigerator goes out it takes weeks for them to settle. No regard for what the insured is going through with food spoiling etc....I can't image what would happen to us if our AC unit goes out in the heat of the summer 100 degrees plus and we are elderly......Prior claim for refrigerator claim took over a month.....we had to go out and buy one on own own and argue with "adjuster" as to its value and only available at Lowes....I was told 'we get it for wholesale'..... I said funny I don't get it for wholesale.....Think twice about a company with no regard for its insureds.....I think my next complaint with be with the Texas Attorney General and Texas Dept of Insurance....

I had 2 choice warranties, one for my rental property which expired and I chose to go with another company, and one for my primary residence. I have filed claims on both warranties, 3 on my rental property all of which were denied. I had one denied on my primary residence, 1 denied, 1 approved but the payout wasn't enough to cover the refrigerator it was replacing and I was hard-pressed to find one that the payout would cover. I also had one approved for HVAC but it took 6 weeks and 5 contractors to have my A/C fixed during record-breaking heat (several accepted the job but never showed up for the appointments). Over a week ago I filed a claim for my water heater that was leaking, it took 4 days for someone to come look at it and say it needed to be replaced (I knew that), then 3 days for Choice to say they approved it, but in fact, the water heater was still under manufacturers warranty and I had to pay the $513 for labor so really they didn't do anything other than provide me with a plumber to do the job. He did but didn't put the splash guard on the water heater so if it overheats the water will go all over the place instead of in the drip pan below, so it is unsafe. I will have to call the plumber to have him come back out and do it right.

I submitted a claim on 3/13/24 and today is 4/4/24. It’s been exactly 3 weeks and they have no been able to fix my leaking kitchen sink. I have spoken to them 17 times in the last 3 weeks and every single time I have been told they will take care of it. They never have. I have been transferred to resolution twice and have done absolutely nothing. Every time I speak to one of their representative they tell me the same thing, I have to wait 24-48 business hours to hear back and I never do. I have been calling the plumbing company they assigned and they said they have submitted everything they ask for multiple times or it’s crickets from the warranty company. It’s been 3 weeks since I have been able to use my kitchen sink and it’s more than unacceptable. What is the point of purchasing a home warranty if they do not care or do anything for you? Yet they send you multiple emails a day to buy their products. This has become more than an inconvenience. At this point they are at a breach of contract. They were paid to do something they have failed to do. I will also be filing a complaint with CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS. This company should not be in operating. They are scamming people and potentially causing their costumers hundreds of dollars. Check BBB reviews they are 1 star with a pending lawsuit from the State of Arizona.

CHW told me that if they cannot fix an appliance, they will replace it. Well it is not true. CHW meant to say they give a small potion of the replacement. My wall double oven needs replacement. CHW offer me $650 to replace it. As a result, the oven cost me $2, 895.00 to purchase and $400 for installation. Not happy about it. Also the sales customer service don't believe the sale pitch because the claim department will prove them wrong. The level of service provides from CHW is not fit a home about $200k. Tread lightly. 😞

Not happy with it at all! Needed a new furnace but said our old one was supposingly still under warranty! One place said it was another said it wasn't! Nobody could help us and Choice sure wasnt!!! Then our master bath shower was leaking and all they would pay was $148 that left almost $900 to pay. Furnace was $4000. Worst warranty ever! Wouldn't recommend them to my Worst enemy!

Take too long to find technicians if emergency. I understand that you are not an emergency company but there are times when a covered item ( sump pump) causes an emergency. Your specialists are not equipped to handle those situations. And when you ask them to get a supervisor there is never a supervisor around. The last time I had an issue with my sump pump it took almost two weeks to find someone. That was May of 2023. They said everything was fine. Now I have water in my basement. Not pleased at all.

I am an elderly woman who currently had spine surgery. I opened my freezer door and the right side of the door fell on my foot. They are telling me my claim was denied because my freezer door was abused or misused. I do not have the strength to break my freezer door. I am retired and on a budget. I pay close to a thousand dollars a year and $85 for a tech to come out each time and to stay at the most five minutes. I believe I will take my business somewhere else.
