AHS dispatched my trouble ticket to a local vendor within 15 minutes of my request. Vendor contacted within 4 hours and were out the next day. Everything was resolved by noon second day. Very happy and I have a long history with AHS. Have never been disappointed with their service.

A friend recommended American Home Shield. We were reluctant to sign up with a company and pay a monthly fee just in case something breaks down but went ahead with it. Since we signed up, we have used them twice. We only had to pay the fee for the visit but no additional money to have the problems resolved. It's working out great so far!

We’ve had AHS for over 20 years. I know we have saved an enormous amount of money for our appliance repairs! It’s a great company and they usually get very qualified repairmen. I would encourage anyone purchasing a house to get AHS, cause you never know when something is gonna quit working or breakdown.

We used our Warranty to fix our dishwasher. AHS first automatically assigned us to a company with bad reviews, so I called to see if we could get another repair shop and they, no questions asked, assigned us to the manufacturers directly. They were wonderful and fixed our dishwasher quickly! So happy we have a Warranty with AHS.

I have now used American Home Shield for three years. In that time, I have had my refrigerator and dishwasher replaced for $125 deductible. I have also had my air conditioner worked on twice, washer machine once, oven once, and garage door twice. The warranty pays for itself. All contractors have been great and reliable.

UPDATE: What I like best about AHS is some not ALL of their representatives are compassionate and really want to help resolve your issues repairing problems in your home. What I like the least about AHS is the lack of communal customer care and responsibility. In order to get real help you have to navigate the rat maze of calls to get to a rep in the U.S. The over-seas call centers is a waste of time. I was told multiple stories of where I was in the process of getting my refrigerator replaced all were terribly wrong. The over-seas call center cost me two waits of waiting because of their incompetence. Finally on April 28th I was able to reach a rep in the states. He heard my frustrations and plead for help. He expedited my case straight to appliance replacement department that same call. This could have been down weeks ago in April. Unfortunately, AHS replacement dept weren't able to provide the particular unit I was looking for so I ended up doing a cash-out option. I went to my local Lowes and purchased my own fridge out of pocket and got reimbursed the amount they are allowed to cover. Since that unit wasn't in stock it had to be ordered and it takes 2 weeks! Good news, the check came quick for reimbursement of frig from AHS. I would like to stick with AHS but some major changes have to be done for customer satisfaction.

However, calling and scheduling is always a bit difficult because the customer service employees tend to be a bit slow in both their explanations of things. I wish we could put in a request in under then 7 minutes, but every phone call we have had has lasted over 15. Other than that no complaints yet

The only complaint is having to hold on the phone for more than an hour to talk to a representative. Easy process for reporting a problem, they are fair about charges and the coverage pays off if the parts are covered and are expensive. Coverage saved me about 300 bucks on my first claim. Can't complain!! Also, really good customer service :)

We’ve contacted AHS three times since we started this warranty. All three were great experiences, although one contractor was not as timely as desired for our broken garage door opener. Once he arrived, though, it was fixed quickly. My one hesitation is the inability to speak with anyone at AHS.

Service from J&J pool service was excellent! The first company chosen by AHS couldn’t respond for 5 days. I re contacted AHS to request another, more efficient company. The AHS representative stepped up, contracted another company, and my repair was handled 2 days later!!

I have had AHS for many years. I've use them several times. Most of the time I've been very satisfied. I don't like how they only pay for a portion of Freon for Central Air. I'm now paying someone else several hundreds of dollars to replace my septic tank pump because it's not covered by AHS. Very disappointed in this. It's still part of my home property but not covered.

That's what I tell the last time I take the survey. Before the service only takes about 2 to 4 days the equipment is fixed then the last few years it takes about almost 2 weeks to fixed. Thats what I experience to the American Home Shield now.

This is a split decision the first time I get service through American home shield it was to fix my stove the repair person came by inspected the stoves gave us a date when he will repair them came on that day punctual on time fixed both my stoves did an excellent job I was very pleased the guy was very professional and respectful. Here in lies the dilemma I then had to call American home shield once again Because I had an issue with my boiler they sent a repair man he inspected the repair man told me it needed to be replaced he would put the information in to American home shield I received a call a day later from a lady name Tanya From American home shieldwho left a message on my phone telling me that my service was completed and my boiler was replaced now I would like to know how does a repair man come one day and then the next day the service is completed and the boiler is fixed that’s not possible .. If that was an oversight on her part then they needed to correct that ..I then called American home shield and asked The representative the same question when they checked they also thought that the boiler was replaced The service man explained to them that my boiler could not be repaired it had to be replaced . Nobody gets a Boiler replaced in one day.. after talking to the Representative and informing her that no work was done and I was told I needed to get a new boiler she then told me that the approval department was looking into it .. A couple of days later I called to find out what the situation was and was told that they could not approve me for a new boiler because mine was already damaged but wasn’t that the reason the service man had to come to my house in the first place I would not have requested service for a boiler that was working .. American home shield claims to be good don’t be good be better people out there depend on you my contract is up in a year I do not think I will renew it.. I received a new boiler from Petro My oil company with a 10 year warranty so I am covered and I am good thank you for your business..

I absolutely hate calling AHS but the website makes the request for service quick and easy. The only think]g I do not understand is that the last two times I have requested service they assign two different companies. This creates confusion. However, my problems have been resolved in both instances. It just takes multiple phone calls to get it all figured out.

My water heater wasn't working properly. Water would start hot and get cold quickly. I requested service online and a plumber called within an hour to set up a day and time to come and check it out. He diagnosed and fixed it quickly and professionally. I highly recommend AHS!

Going with 4 stars for now. That varies from 5 on some calls to 2 on others. Over the years it has paid off as we have an expensive range, dishwasher, and freestanding ice maker. While they are generally very reliable, from time to time they have issues and the prices for repairs are absurd. Think Audi in the auto world. Back in November we had a door switch on the microwave replace. Almost exactly 90 days later it happened again. But their warranty period is 60 days, so another copay for the same issue. That would be my 2 star.

Amercian HomeShield was great...after they agreed to fix my washing machine I called them to give a replacement and a repair and they were very helpful in accomodating my request and got me the replacement value. Thanks a lot for getting rid of a broken 11 year old washer and getting a new one

We have used AHS twice since moving into our home in 2018. Our experience in both instances was very good. AHS contacted the service providers and the services were completed in a timely manner by well qualified people. Being new to the area, AHS made it much easier to get someone to resolve our issues.

This is the first time I had to use American Home Shield since signing with them. I was impressed with the response time and the professionalism of the person fixing my heater. It really took away the hassle of me trying to find a good heater company.

2019 was the first time having American Home Sield. I had to call them not to long ago to fix my dryer. They came out and found that the belt had broke. They had the materials to repair the belt and made sure it fit PROPERLY. They were very professional in their work.

My recent experience with American Home Shield was positive in every way. It's easy to file a claim online and AHS's local contractor contacted me very quickly to set up a service appointment. Ultimately, my appliance is beyond repair and AHS is going to replace it for me. I have been an AHS customer for years and I have no regrets.

I started my AHS Combo Plan in October and am completely satisfied with their support and performance. Had one problem in November with my AC Unit and they came out tested the unit and repaired According to their advertised warranty. The tech that came out was very friendly, knowledgeable and did a good job. Thank you!

Three timesI had to wait a very long time before a item that was broken in my home was fixed. The first time I waited over a month for a company that looked at my central air conditioner. The air conditioner needed to be replaced it stoped working in the beginning of the summer. I was with out air conditioning until the end of summer. Due to the fact the first contractor they sent out never got back to American Home Shield for over a month. Finally American Home Shield sent out another contractor. After I kept on calling them. The second time was at my vacation home. I needed to have my boiler replaced. AHS sent out a contractor who took a month to contact AHS to tell them I needed a new boiler. That was with me and AHS contacting him daily. I decided to use another contractor because the first one they sent was not competent for the job. The third time was with my microwave. AHS sent the first contractor over he ordered parts and I never received the parts. I called Sears daily and weekly I always received the same story they ordered the parts but have no idea when they will come in. Then they even canceled the order and never notified me. AHS decided to send another contractor. I do not fault AHS I just fault their choice for contractors. Three separate times I had to have two deficient contractors sent to home taking a few months to fix. There has to be a easier way for the customer and AHS.
