Was have a hard time financially called to cancel The lady I talked to told me because I haven't had a claim they would not charge me until April and if I did I would not have to pay the service call. I had a water leak and called told them where it was leaking not in foundation. I was charged the $100.00 service fee. The plumber came said it wasn't covered because it wasn't in foundation gave me a $975. Estimate he couldn't fix call someone from his company turned into a $4,975.00 charge. My neighbor fixed it for $300. I was called by someone from AMS and ask about being told I would have no service charge was given $50.00 back and told the service guy had to be paid not sure about this company now. Your word is your word.

The request for service is quick and easy. The reponse time was basically immediate, with the contracted service provider’s information. This incident happened to be a follow up from a recent request for service. I had the peace of mind that and had a stress free experience since the service provider responded immediately and was able to resolve the problem.

LIKES there pretty quick to respond to your service ,DISLIKES my garage door opener went out I personally installed it over 10 years ago , the contractor came out quick he told me he could put in another garage door opener $198.00 but it was under power I told him I wanted to get a more better one about $500.00 side mounted opener and I could install it and Home Shield would give me a voucher for about $200.00 I said great ,Now Home shield did say they would give me the voucher but it had to be installed by a contractor,Im upset cause I can do it my self but they want me to spend more money on someone else and everyone want $500.00 to do 1 hour of work total Bull Crap I already paid Home shield $100.00 to to come tell me what I already knew plus monthly , they should give me the voucher and not warranty the garage door opener If I install it that simple , so if they don't fix this I will have them replace it with another Craftsman , Robert

For my home, this has been a great service. at 14 years, now is the time where the home amenities start to show some age and act up. We have had tremendous service and response for every occasion we've needed AHS. Just 3-4 service calls a year pay for the premiums, and the piece of mind in having same or next day service on any needed repair... worth it and more!

My husband and I have been with AHS for the past 16 years. The vendor they hire are good quality service providers who are polite and do a great job. The few non perfect ratings has to do with the annual price increases. For the most part the increases were low and below CPI. However this year was a 18% increase. I realize the inflation issue is high. But an 18% annual / monthly increase feels like gauging. Especially with a customer that maybe submits a claim a year and the claim is a low cost claim. The increase doens't look good and my husband and I are for the first time are looking to move. It makes me sad that this is the first negative review I have given.

I have used my AHS plan several times within the past 3.5 years and I have never been disappointed with the quality of their repair vendors. AHS makes it very easy to report a claim, they are super responsive and their communication is great because they provide you with updates, advise who will be contacting you and coming to your home to complete the repair. The plan is comprehensive and affordable!

I had been with AHS for 10+ yrs. Up and down, but AHS provided what I need to maintain my house from little things like checking refrigerator to replace AC consender, washer, dryer machines. Sometime, very seldom, they send out a rogue contractor who want more of my money to fix thing not needed and supposed to be covered by AHS! Let say 99% contractors are good, very good, honest, proffessional and fast! Thanks AHS! PS. : One time, we were traveled outside country for more than a year, my teenager daughter can take care any house issues by calling AHS.

The ease of dealing with the claims process as well as the helpfulness of the customer rep I spoke with and even the gentleman who came to the house to work on the fridge was extremely nice. It's a nice peace of mind knowing that my most expensive items are covered and you won't be harassed when something actually is wrong and you have to file a complaint.

I’ve put in 2 requests so far. I was contacted for the 1st on same day and someone was out to repair the problem the next day. Easy, peasy and the young man who came out was wonderful and very competent. The 2nd requests (for an unrelated problem) was on Sunday. I heard back from AHS the next morning and someone is scheduled to come out tomorrow. Easy process, quick reply and I’m loving it!!

American Home Shield is one of the best. It would be too expensive without them. They always pay attention to whatever I call them to. I would recommend them because whenever I contact them, they choose a company to do the service. And that company calls back in an hour, I get a phone call and they tell me when they can get out, which is great. They tell me when and they always tell me, "We'll call you when we're on our way." All in all, the people who came out are very good at what they do.

They have great coverage. Our old company was irritating to work with. It was impossible getting anything replaced. We basically got gaslit about appliances being broken, etc. and calling them was a nightmare. AHS is a joy to work with. I can file claims online (though that could use some work). Customer service is always a pleasure to talk to. At least once I got the 'good' phone number from a repair person. The number on the website is problematic.

The repair men were very friendlly and did their jobs very well. I only have one problem is that they were supposed to put a water turn off under commode in small bathroom downstairs. He stated they did but I can't find it. Also after the water turn off and the water turned back on the small commode will not flush properly. I would like someone call and make an appt. to repair that. Other than that they did a really nice job.

1. This year we had an A/C repair request via AHS. The technician lied to say the problem was an Act of God, charged me $1255 and we later found out the motor installed didn't belong in that system. It was the wrong part and the work done was left unsafe. It got resolved, but my tenant had no AC for way too long and my property could have burnt down. 2. I recently used the video feature with customer service for my Washer. A baffle broke off -- pretty straightforward. Cust Service record a comprehensive video of the washer, the problem, the part, the model/serial numbers -- everything. These repair techs must get paid for a diagnosis call because the tech company (Colorado) insisted they needed to come out and look at it. They did. Then a week later another company came out and started all over again with a diagnosis. Still waiting for the repair....super inefficient...why have video pre-diagnosis when it doesn't save you a step at all -- waste of my time. 3. Generally, as customer of about 7 years with warranties on four of our properties, AC repairs take too long -- in Florida it's a big deal when the AC is out.

My experience today was not too satisfactory. He had to put me on hold three times because I don't think he understood what I was trying to tell him. When I spoke to someone a few days ago to cancel my service because I sold the property, she told me I was getting a refund. But when I checked my account today, dashboard showed I owed $12.05. I wanted to know why the dashboard shows I have a balance due when the agent told me that I'm getting a refund. I think the agents need more training. Also I really don't like all the chatter. Waste too much time. Just reinstate the issue just so I know that they understand why I'm requesting service. Short and sweet is better. Thank you. I have to give Mel a credit though for staying calm and professional even though I was getting irritated.

We have used the services several times and each time, American Home Shield provided excellant prompt service. Through no fault of AHS, there was only one subcontracted company that was contracted out locally that we had issues with. But never had any issues with AHS. thank you

When our furnace went out during a cold snap, I notified American Home Shield , who promptly set up a consultation with a repair contractor. After analysis revealed a failed gas valve and weak thermocouple, those needed parts were ordered and, in a few days, installed--and the furnace worked properly again. We called about our washer and dryer. The repair man came out on time and said our wager needed to be replaced and our dryer vent needed to be cleaner. AHS sent us an email within two days and said we are replacing your washer! It was quick and easy. We could pick from many, many washers or receive a voucher for Lowell’s. We decided for the voucher and the whole process took 1 week. We are very impressed with AHS.

My central unit was repaired successfully at no expense to me except the initial $125 fee. The repairman Derek B was very kind and professional. I am a very pleased customer. I now have a claim in progress to replace my Advantium speedcook oven which stopped working. So far that process has been a good one. I was even allowed more coverage than at first offered because I could not locate a new one with the features like mine based on the original allowance. AHS has provided great service and coverage!

America Home Shield has been a great service. When I first bought my home, there were very few issues in the course of a year and I I used to wonder if it was worth it. Over time, I've come to realize the peace of mind, knowing that if any issue arises the cost to me is minimal makes it totally worth subscribing... It's almost a no-brainer at this point. Housing issues that come up can add up and become costly. When issues do happen I can personally say that there isn't much hassle filing a claim with AHS. They're such a good service I can't endorse them enough.

Overall, they respond quickly to a work order. It was just a couple years back in August that we called for A/C repair and AHS didn’t have a company they were contracted with at that time! It wasn’t until mid September or so until out A/C was repaired. We live in the desert in Nevada, so you can imagine our despair. They told us they couldn’t find a company to repair our A/C but told us we could find one. That didn’t make much sense, but I did find one and then they wouldn’t authorize the company. They insisted the company had to call AHS and the company refused to do so. Needless to say it was quite a little nightmare.

Thank goodness that I finally signed up for my home shield. My refrigerator was throwing off the rest of the electricity. My technician came and within a few minutes, figured it was my ice maker that was giving me a run for my money. The whole thing was back to working order within a few days. The price was only what I paid for the service. One price , no gimmick.

I've only used the service one time so far, but I'm very satisfied with the service I received through American Home Shield for my HVAC unit. I put in the request for a repair online, and got a timely response. The company assigned for my repair contacted me the same day, and made the appointment. They showed up on time, were very friendly and professional, and quickly and efficiently addressed the issue with my HVAC unit. Had me back up and running in no time at all!

I like the peace of mind that I have coverage for high dollar items in my home. I’ve had three claims in two years, one of those was for my furnace this year and the customer service department found a technician that was here within 24 hours. They were fast and friendly to get us heat back in the house! I did not like that last April my dishwasher broke and the part I needed was on back order from GE. This is not the fault of AHS but I finally took the cash option for a new dishwasher and it was less than three hundred dollars. This amount did not come close to finding something comparable to what I had.

I have had AHS since 2007. Having this coverage makes life so much easier. It has more than paid for itself over the years. There is no hassle, just request service for your covered item and the applicable service company responds promptly. The service charge is worth the value. I had to have my heat and A/C system replaced and AHS saved me $$$$. Would not be without it.

The very next day our new water heater was arriving and with someone to put it in. That was hands down amazing service and turnaround time. I like the ease of filing the claims. I don’t like to pay a monthly amount AND a service fee every time, especially if I don’t use for several months out of the year. Essentially I’m just prepaying for the repair. But there is value in the small service fee, as all of my repairs and replacement parts have been covered (which I may have had to come out of pocket more without a warranty).

We had two issues after we bought our house, rekeying and two appliances that had some issues not detected in our inspection reports. Both of the technicians who came out went right to work and the house was rekeyed in about 10 minutes and the appliance issues detected quickly. One was fixed immediately and the other took some cycles to resolved but we followed our advice to the letter and all is working fine. Friendly, knowledgeable teachnicians and a reasonable service fee, you cannot beat that.

at first I was skeptical but I was very impressed about the prompt service. when I scheduled for repairs I was set up with the reverse service within the hour. both times has been professionally prepare services. fix my problems when it came to my heat pumps and AC units. I own two on my house. had problems with both of them. I was amazed that a repair both of them with no questions asked. they are the real deal American home shield. appreciate and very thankful that I have purchased this insurance on my appliances. had little cost to me per month. thank you so much! AHS makes it easy to file a claim and get whatever it is fixed. Being in a rural area sometimes it's hard for AHS to find a contractor or service representative to come fix what needs to be fixed, so being able to work with AHS and getting a prior authorization to seek for service repair allows us to get our appliances fixed in a timely manner. Plus the contractors that do come out for AHS are professional and courteous.

I like that AHS has stood behind their warranty to replace if an item cannot be fixed. I use AHS for my personal property and two rental homes. Only negative thing is that it takes 2-3 days before you get a scheduled appointment from the repair service and at times, that’s just too long especially if your dealing with your cooling/heating unit.

Used this company for 11 years never any issues always came out asap when something was not working .I moved and tried a new company they were much cheaper and d took weeks to come out.i switched back to ahs paid the extra and had peace of mind.when you buy a new home things mysteriously break ahs fixes everything inckuded in your package which is awesome.after 3 years.. I really had no issues in my home at all. If you want fast service and items in your home fixed correctly and promptly i.e heating and air-conditioning pay the extra for ahs..

Always fast response! I love that I can submit my work order online….a local contractor’s contact info is sent to me immediately. The contractors have been outstanding! I’m so glad my brother told me to renew my AHS Warranty! Washer, dryer, refrigerator all repaired or replaced. No hassle. So worth it! I recommend AHS to all my friends and family. I can’t afford not to have my AHS!

company is easy to work with, but I would never use (whirlpool site to order like products) we just had to replace our dishwasher and was sick and didn't get to the replacement options for 3 days, whirlpool had only given us 2 wp options and a GE option, so from the picture description as there were no physical descriptions other that it had most of the features that we currently had, so I ordered this product rather than opting for the $786 e card to Lowes. When we received the dishwasher, it was far below our current dishwasher. Lowes price was $439 for the one offered by whirlpool so where is the like product. We now also have to pay an $100 restocking fee. I would just warn no to use the replacement companys products. Take the money and go to the store to make your purchase.

I have used them twice so far this year and they seems to get good service companies and fairly fast. This is my first year with them, I was with another group in the past but they seemed not to have a good rep with local service companies and several times I had to wait for a month to get an Electrical or other service to contact me about my issue. AHS seem to have a better report with businesses in my area.

Unfortunately, on two occasions I contacted a service rep to discuss what was covered with my policy. I called about a garbage disposal repair and was told that appliance was not covered. Only to find out after paying out of pocket and requesting a copy of my policy, the disposal was covered. On a second request involving my microwave oven, which is built into the home, I was again told that appliance was not covered. After purchasing a new microwave, I find that the microwave was indeed covered by my policy. I know it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they are aware of the coverage purchased, but, trustworthiness of service reps should be above reproach at all times also. I have been with AHS for many years while in service to my country and moved around some. This does not detract from the overall service I have received throughout the years. But, it did put a good dent in my finances. If I had to recommend or make a suggestion; please ensure information provided to clients/customers is accurate as many of us get really busy with every day life and we rely heavily on experts like you to provide quality, timely, accurate, and affordable service. Years ago it was suggested by our realtor and mortgage representative to purchase American Home Shield. Of course, I've seen the commercials, but never considered the expense as necessary. Reluctantly, purchased American Home Shield. 2 years later, unexpectedly we had experienced some extremely bad weather that had ruined some valuable electronics and appliances. Fortunately, American Home Shield reliable service didn't waste any time helping, not with repairs, but replacements. With the reliable, responsible and quick response time, American Home Shield had proved themselves to be not only extremely valuable, but had proved to be one of the most important investments in our home owners experience.

I have always had wonderful experiences with AHS…The response time was always extremely fast for me when I needed services. One day up to two was the longest I ever had to wait for a callback from the contractor for the service needed. I had my AC go out and they fixed it. Garbage disposal and more. It would have cost so much without AHS which only cost me a co-pay of $75. You can add on a pool and so much more also. I highly recommend this company to protect your home and get things fixed for simply a co-pay.

We have had AHS for many years and they have been very responsive to our appliance repair needs. They have provided timely responses to repairs or replacements of the covered appliance. In case we want to upgrade they have provided a reasonable value for our replacement. Their fees for service have gone up over the years from $35 to $75 per call. Also, the coverage cost has gone up substantially due to our repair claims. That has gone up from nearly $50 to $103. This has resulted in us looking at their competitors who provide lower fees. Though we like AHS we certainly cannot afford the higher coverage costs.

First time using my warranty service & I was thoroughly pleased. I needed to get my exhaust fans serviced because they looked clogged but just needed cleaning. After speaking with the rep to create the work order I was contacted by the electrician within 20 mins of hanging up & Willobee Electric was at my home the following day and asked to come an hour earlier which was great!

The company they sent me to was here in 24 hours and my AC is working better than it has in years. That says a lot about American Home Shield. I called in for a service ticket related to my water heater not working. I spoke with the plumbing company assigned the next day. The company was supposed to come 2 days later, but had a cancellation and came and fixed my issue the next day. Home Shield investment is one of the best investments you can make into your home. I definitely recommend Home Shield.
