Had a call in for washer repairs. The repair tech came out on June 27, 2022. He stated there were some parts that needed to be ordered. Today is July 29, 2022 and my washer has yet to be repaired. I also don't know the status of those ordered parts.

I was treated horrible when I call in after one of the contractors they sent out to do my repairs tried to scam me after trying to explain what happened to me I was told by a manager on the escalation team my concerns did not matter and there was nothing the company was going to do about it when I told him I wanted to cancel my service because of how I was being treated he refused and told me I needed to call back tomorrow if I wanted to cancel

Granted this is not going to be every experience with AHS, but I have been dealing with communication errors since 08 July 2022. It is now 28 July and I am being told that my issue is getting resolved. I am having a hard time with the rating because there are multiple facets in this concern. After many calls between AHS, customer service contractor teams and the technician contracting team, something clicked, communication occurred, and things started happening. I don't want to think it was a verbal advisory of me preparing to seek legal counsel, but things worked out...so far.

Deny coverage, interior of refrigerator deteriorating, unable to use vegetables bin because the top had to be removed rendering it useless. Loss of vegetables and space no concern. Need to vet contractors. Fixed my washer over 4-5 times the manhours/parts uneconomical and a great inconvenience to customer. I can go on and on.

They would not replace fan in my living room because of 20 ft ceiling. I requested to be paid for the fan only and I would have someone replace it myself. They refused. They owe me $200 for the ceiling fan I paid to have replaced!

Electrician advised I need a new paddle fan. advise I would receive a call back from American Home Shield and/or his company. i've called six times still waiting for two weeks and American Home Shield's customer service reps keep lying to me telling me that they are going to send matter to the escalation department and/or your subcontractor department to resolve this issue. So far it's been over a month and every time I call I get the same response from American Home Shield customer service reps they will escalate this issue as it turns out the electrician is also not responding to phone calls from American Home Shield. Your customer service reps refuse to send out another company to finish the job. I had a similar incident last year and you guys had to send out a second firm to finish the job that the first firm you sent did not complete. I need my replacement paddle fan not the run around that I keep getting in dealing with you American Home Shield I'm ready to leave you guys I found another company!!!!!!!!

I moved into my new home recently and the first time I used the sink in my master bathroom, I noticed the drain stopper was pulled up. I released it, only for water to start dripping below the sink under the cabinet. I closed the drain stopper again and when I did, it came totally loose from under the sink. I called and reported this to American Homes Shield. I was charged the $100 call out fee. The plumber who came to my home said that sometimes this happens when the drain stopper is fitted too tight by the person who installed it. My house is more than 30ys old so I don't know who installed the sinks in the master bathroom. American Home Shield then told me that the repair was not covered under the $700 policy I have and I have since spent another $300 having it fixed.

No repair is considered an emergency, even though our AC quit during a heat advisory and under no circumstances can I choose a repairman that can offer immediate repair, even though the appointed contractor can not make it out for days. There should be exceptions to emergency situations, I found an HVAC company that could repair within one day and is probably less expensive than the contractor that was chosen by this warranty company. Because of this I decided to cancel and after getting high pressure sales tactics, I was finally transferred to the person who was suppose to cancel, this person hung up on me while I was explaining while I tried to cancel. I finally had to call a manager that helped us set up the warranty, so she could cancel for us. I would never purchase this warranty again and I will tell everyone I know about my experience with this company.

Customer service is overseas. lag time ( 2 seconds ) from when you ask a question to a response is slow. this leads to each party talking over the other party. language seems to be a challenge as well. Next other than simple fixes...like a plumber, getting American Home Shield to repair / replace a broken item is hard. It shouldn't be this hard. We have a contract....fix it or replace it. We are 4 weeks into getting our oven fixed or replaced. Multiple repair people have been sent to look at the challenge with the oven. All have said the oven needs to be replaced. However since it is an expensive oven ( Viking Gas Oven ) American Home Shield is dragging their feet.....basically not honoring the contract...un happy customer.

they are saying it was a existing condition. I thought my plan protected me. I never heard of pre existing condition in repairs, only with hospital patients. So I also don't understand how they can say it's pre existing because I bought and moved in here in April and it wasn't going it then that I was aware of. So I'm on my way to paying out of pocket that 8 thought this insurance would take care of after u paid my deductible of 125.00.

We had our AC fail 2 weeks after we had coverage. American Home Shield sent out an inspector and said that it failed BEFORE our coverage started. How can that be when we KNOW that it was working? We even had it professionally inspected. Anyways, we ended up buying a brand new HVAC with no help from you guys. Very disappointed. On the flip side, I thought the people we talked to were friendly and professional (that's why it's two stars as opposed to one), but unhelpful.

My air conditioner was not cooling properly & a contractor was sent out. He concluded that a new condenser coil was needed. AHS gave me the runaround about the order placement. Needless to say, 20 plus days later in 100 degree temperatures, I called again to check on the part order. The agent told me that the order hadn't been placed yet & she could arrange it so AHS could just send me a check to make things whole. I told her that I didn't care about a check, I just wanted the a/c fixed. She could not give me an estimated time of when the order would be placed or shipped for the part. I told her to just cancel the entire order and I would just pay out of pocket for another air conditioning company to come fix my AC. I am very seriously considering canceling my warranty service.

The staff argued with me when I told them that their plumber was not acceptable, they claimed that the last 6 conversations with AHS over the weekend never took place, and AHS caused problems for me at work with their constant refusal to work with me and credit my account back for services not rendered by their contractors.The electrical contractor did not show up and I want my money refunded. My son took the entire day off of work to wait on the contractor that did not show. The previous plumber was awful I told AHS that I never wanted to hear from that plumber again and that he was not to step foot on my property but they said that I had to take the contractor they chose whether I liked it or not even when I had a problem with that contractor in the past. That is really poor customer service.

My home air conditioner stopped working and after waiting approximately 45 minutes for a call back, I was told it would be between 24 & 48 hours before a vendor would be scheduled to fix my air conditioning unit. I live in Florida and the temperature today was in the 90's. In Florida air conditioning not working is considered an emergency to be handled at any time of the day or night. This agent seemed to be reading from a script and had no clue what I was dealing with. I also asked to speak with her supervisor and was told he was busy. Her name was Savitrie and she was in the Ghana call center. I cancelled the request. Good thing I did not have a water leak in my home. It would have not been 2 days before a repair man would have arrived. Unbelievably poor customer service and very disappointed. We will not be renewing our home warranty with AHS. The company that they sent out to fix our AC had poor customer service and didn't even give us time to get to the door when they came. I called them and they would not answer or even return my calls. When I called American Home Shield they weren't very helpful, but most importantly, I had a customer service issue and requested to speak with a manager. I was unable to speak with a manager and was told that it would be 24 -48 hours before I received a call back. It was actually 8 days later. This is poor customer service and resolution of a problem. I still haven't received a refund from paying my $100 deductible. Needless to say, it is July and our state has been having heat advisories. I had to pay for another company to come out to service my AC.

I have had nothing but issues since the beginning of signing on. Customer Service is horrible! They lied about sending a service tech to fix our air conditioner for over 2 weeks. We had to pit our tenant in a hotel and cover that cost! They gave us the run around again when it was a refrigerator issue and sent the same tech even when we requested a different one. He said there was nothing wrong with the frig. But it is clearly NOT getting cold! The tried to double charge me in one month and then keep calling me from collections saying I owe again! They have farmed all calls to the Philippines where they barely speak English and I can't understand 99 percent of what they are saying. And they understand pretty much none of what I'm saying. This has been a horrible experience and I am canceling all of my contracts with them!

I paid HWS for the entire year. Unfortunately for us our A/C was blowing out hot air, the contractor that came out could not repair the unit and said that they sent a diagnosis to HWS and HWS claims that they never received it. This has gone on for almost a month with temperatures ranging from upper 79's to mid 90's. The technician has been to the hos 3 different times with no solution. The technician claim that they let HWS know that the unit cannot be repaired, HWS claims they have heard nothing from the contractor. You cannot talk to a supervisor at HWS without a ticket being made. We have made several tickets and no response. This doesn't sound like the wonderful company that I have been reading about. Maybe someone in authority will see this and respond to an unhappy and frustrated customer. Lisa snd Garry Martin

Monthly cost increases every year. Have had to utilize for claims and there is always a long wait if you have to call in. They will replace with subpar products or damaged but read the fine print as it is disclosed. Gave me the run around for 3 months trying to replace my broken water heater. Currently researching alternatives for when my contract expires.

This is difficult. It isn't AHS directly but the providers. Two of them were up selling their business products whether than focusing on inspection and repairs. It was frustrating to be pitched to purchase new expensive products and telling me differing prices that continued to escalate.
