At this time of Covid19 technicians to is tall the microwave came without mask or gloves. This happened on two diferente visits. I did not felt dafe when they came over. It was a risk for my family with all this crisis happen right now. Also I was charged 2 times for the $75 fee when I was told I was going to be charged only one time $75

I had a hot water heater put in ..they should of payed for everything that has to do with the hot water heater getting it up and going ..hooking up cold and hot water side and relief valve..I had to pay a lot of money after work was done ..not right

I was able to change my contract to better suit my needs. Fortunately it was in the time period of my renewal but was not cancelled. I recommend that something be sent to clients annually to give them the option to assess their current contract to upgrade or even change to meet their needs.

I had no problem setting an appointment for service. The service tech was at my home on time the next day to solve my leaking plumbing issue. He was mannerly, clean in his company uniform, demonstrated professional knowledge of the service he was providing and spoke with me in clear English, I like that. When leaving, he looked over his shoulder to insure the area was clean and of course insuring he had all of his tools. lol I am very pleased with the service. I have been anti home warranties after a not so pleasant experience with a past work order with a different provider. That's no longer the case. I have used the Home shield warranty twice now, both times top shelf. Give them a shot if you are contemplating a service for your home. They actually show up and do the job requested without, "Well, that's good enough". If you ever hear that, the job is not quality; run those guys off. Gary

My husband is a Vietnam Veteran, and we are both senior citizens. He is blind from one eye and has cancer. It is unacceptable and no one should be put through this torturous situation. American Home Shield has been very informative and professional to call and keep us updated. However, we have been without a working AC for almost I believe three weeks. It has been very hot. We have been recommended that we should pay $14,000 out of pocket from another company which they know who it is to install a new system. As of right now, we cannot afford such great amount for a new air condition. We are not here to blame anyone but forgot sake please fix our AC. We will continue to sleep on the floor and sofa. I pray for this situation to be settled soon. 🥲

We cannot say enough about AHS s customer service. Our refrigerator required two calls to repair the problem and in the end it could not be fixed. Throughout the entire process AHS was on it, made sure everything was done promptly and never hesitated when the service provider determined it wasn't fixable to replace our refrigerator with a new one. They didn't give us a hard time at any point in this process. In fact quite the opposite, they went out of their way to be accommodating. We feel like we have the best home insurers in the world and they have lived up to that reputation. We recommend them to everyone all the time and will be customers for as long as they allow us that honor. Tom and Carol Mahon

As a home owner we get enough stress by fixing one thing and another is a never ending story. When my husband and I heard about American Home Shield we did a little research on this company and decided to try and from the moment we contacted the customer service was so helpful and great, very professional they were able to answer all our questions about what they offered depending on your needs or how much do you want to get covered in your house or appliances. When ever we need help with one of the furnaces (we have 3) I love that we get someone to help the same day or next day but no more then 48 hrs. We love having this company and recommended to everyone. Great customer service and fast service.

My husband & I are new to Home Shield. I have to admit the process was simple...it didn't require us to call around for estimates. We simply logged in, entered our appliance issue and we had an immediate day & time when a tech would come thru. Sears techs came to our home...they were VERY pleasant. Explained what the issue was, ordered the part and as soon as it arrived, they were at our home to install. I've never had an appliance issue and this process was simple, fast & convenient. We were pleasantly pleased with the whole process. Thankful to Home Shield who have taken the stress out of our situation. Thanks!!

When I called to schedule a technician to come look at my dryer my call was answered with no hold time. A company was assigned to contact me and they immediately contacted me to schedule a next day appointment. The technician came out first thing the next day and when it was determined that there was no longer a part to fix the dryer I was sent a link to purchase a new dryer. American Home Shield was amazingly efficient in getting my problem resolved in the fastest and best way possible. This is no ordinary warranty company where you have to practically beg for someone come out to look at your appliance and are then given a million loopholes on why they can't cover the appliance. With the last company I was covered by I had a broken garbage disposal and it took a week to schedule a technician and I was told they would give me $50 toward a new disposal. So I was out the $50 fee to have someone come diagnose the problem then I had to buy a new disposal and pay someone to come install the new disposal. I would recommend AHS to everyone. They back up their promises and they are efficient and professional. Amazing customer service.

like: Calls are generally answered quickly. Customer service is generally quite polite and pleasant. I don't think I have ever had anything but pleasaness from the customer service personnel. Service requests are generally assigned fairly rapidly, and usually completed in a timely manner. Good to have one call to make to get service or repairs, so I don't have to "shop around" to find a company to do whatever work. It is a good savings for any homeowner. dislike: I dislike that the customer service calls seem to get routed to an Indian or Asian answering service, and, while the service is not really a problem, the "scripts" they apparently work from are annoying. These representatives seem to repeat things like "please hold while we check on this" and "we will do everything we can", and "we appreciate your business" (generalizations, not necessarily what they actually say), repeating these messages, worded in different ways, in a somewhat annoying manner. For example, I can understand "please hold while I check on this" just fine, I don't need to have it repeated in 5 different ways before I am put on hold. Or have it take 3-5 minutes of "thank you for calling" repeated in a dozen different ways of wording it before the call is ended. Just a bit of a pet peeve of mine, I suppose.

Over the almost 3-yrs working with AHS, I have nothing but good to say about the Customer Reps. I have had an ongoing problem with my HVAC the entire time, and AHS always seemed to send out quality HVAC service companies. Sure, more times than not, the HVAC service would put a "bandaid" on the problem and it would overall "work" for a period of time, but always seemed Id end up calling time and again. Mind you, the problem was my heat pump was the original to the community and my home, since 1988. The Customer Reps, were always understanding and patient, willing to listen and do the best job they could at the time.

As a new home owner in New York I hesitated getting a warranty just because I did not want to spend the money. But soon realize that it was the best decision I made especially picking American Home Shield ! The homes in New York is by far have low standards in construction than in California. With that said our heater, air condition even our stove was service and both the air conditioner and the furnace needed to be replace and they used their own contractor which by the way American Home Shield chose the best ! Very kind and considerate and had the best man on the job! I have confidence that I am protected. Thank you so much !

My husband and I are happy with American Home Shield (AHS). We find it to be well worth the cost. As we had a washer that broke down this year, the plan has already paid for itself. Once we called AHS, we got an appointment with a repair company within a few days. Shortly after the company diagnosed the problem, we were sent a list of several models of quality washing machines that we could choose from to replace our existing machine. The new machine was delivered and installed within just a few weeks. Whenever we had questions during the process, we called an AHS representative and our questions/concerns were promptly addressed. We are very happy with the service provided by AHS and plan on continuing to use their coverage.
