Ice maker was replaced, broke a2 months later. Have to open a new ticket and pay $85. Still don't have a working ice maker. Shower spout replaced but not sealed to wall. Was told that is cosmetic. Leaving tickets for super urgent. Once settled in house will terminate service.

American Home Shield is not prompt in getting issues resolved. Especially when it has come to my washing machine. I have been without a washing machine for a month due to AHS sending 3 different companies to diagnose the issue. The last company has said they can resolve the issue, and it has now been 2 weeks since their diagnosis. I am beyond frustrated, and now I will be replacing my washing machine, due to the lack of urgency and attention to resolution. AHS has been very poor in the follow up for this issue,

AHS is way overpriced and their coverage has shrunk. So often what is wrong with an appliance isn’t covered. There was a substantial increase with this latest contract and I’m paying almost $80 per month, which is outrageous. The service techs are always nice and helpful and knowledgeable, but sometimes they don’t come very quickly.

I was under the understanding that if I have an appliance that can't be repaired it would be replaced. at no cost to me. That is clearly not correct. I have a hot water heater that due to to wear and tear had to be replaced. There was a $520.00 fee that I needed to pay for the hot water heater to be replaced. I have been an AHS customer for many years. The first appliance that couldn't be repaired but had to be replaced. I was told only a partial of the replacement would be covered I had to pay $520.00. Not feeling like AHS owns up to what they advertise or sell. Not sure if I want to continue to be a customer. When I first became a customer it was $45.99 a month now it's $69.99 a month but still with the $100.00 service fee.

Not finding that a lot of things are covered that have broken in my home over the time I’ve had AHS. I purchased the service for no big ticker shocks but on several times. Not covered is what I’ve gotten. When I compare what I’ve paid in monthly premiums and service calls, I don’t think I’m ahead or saving money. Will not be renewing this year and will just work on a home savings plan to handle the items I’m sure will come up with a 16 year old home.

It is unfortunate that American Home Shield (like most insurance companies), won't approve much of anything that needs to be repaired or especially replaced. They charge a $100 fee for any repair company to come out and then only pay for the minimum to repair. The repair companies charge elevated prices to the insurance company and the consumer ends up paying more than if they just hired the repair themselves.

Poor customer service, poor vendor resourcing, poor follow-up. Rarely am I on hold for less than 20 min each call and rarely am I transferred less than 4 times after getting through to a representative. Very bureaucratic policies for handling failing appliances. We’ve called repeatedly to remove a vendor from the list of options and they continue to assign the same vendor and refuse to let us change it. This has been going on for almost two years, we’ve been with AHS for over 8 years and it just keeps getting worse. We will be changing insurance companies as soon as the current work order is resolved.

ME: Can you look up old records based on who offered service YOU: I like turtles. That's almost a direct f'n translation. It's so bad, that when i call, when i'm convinced the person on the other side isn't all there (it takes seconds to determine this, after asking a simple question), I just hang up and hope to get someone who knows english and how to answer questions. AHS Claim #: 202716558 Purchased home warranty through American Home Shield when we purchased our home in 2022. Submitted 3 claims for our Rheem water heater - first two issues were resolved with a band-aid of a solution. On our latest claim American Home Shield is denying our warranty claim, asserting that our water heater is not working due to a manufacturing defect. AHS's service tech had been working with Rheem to process the warranty, and it was this tech who made the determination that the issue was a manufacturing defect. Upon contacting Rheem ourselves, a Rheem rep sent us an email stating that they could not confirm or deny that it was indeed a manufacturing defect. Further, AHS's contract states that a product can only be deemed to have a manufacturing defect if determined by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, similar regulatory entity, the manufacturer or distributer has issued a warning, recall or determination of defect. AHS's stance is that they are taking the service tech "for his word" that it is a manufacturing defect. I'm not a lawyer, but i don't think that their contracts language leaves room for the tech to make the determination of a manufacturing defect. We've been without water for a month while AHS has drug their feet on this claim. The water heater itself is only 3 years old, and now we're basically being told, "sorry, you're going to pay to replace a 3 year old unit". Beware of using their services for home warranty claims. They sell you on the idea that you will be covered in these events, but in our experience it feels like they are taking every possible step to avoid providing the service they advertise to their Customers.

Harrable service. I requested something to be done in December 2022. Paid for the service to get done. After I stopped paying my monthly fees in February and they started calling every other day trying to get there money, was I able to get it fixed. They say they pushed my case up to a supervisor and that person will be contacting me and noone ever contacted me. My contract says with plumbing if it's over $1000 I would have to pay out of pocket. My service was no where near that much to fix but I had to pay Moriarty of the cost to fix and if you count the $125 you have to pay for then to even come out to access the problem I really paid for the whole thing to get fixed so what's the point of having them. This Company is a waste of money and they don't live up to there word. If I could give a negating I would have. Nothing good came out of having this service.

My Samsung Refrigerator has been leaking water onto my tiled kitchen floor since God know when and AHS has since last year sent one company after another and after changing almost every part in the fridge and it is still leaking, AHS is still sending another company to troubleshoot the problem. Waste of our time. I am already removed and disposed the kitchen rug. In fact I am running out of patience and do not know what to do. When, taking the monthly payment, they have no problem doing that. However, when getting one's problem completely and immediately solved like they promised you when you signed up, it is a different animal all together.

I have been a paying member of American Home shield for the past 10 years. I have an older home and don’t have a lot of n be extra cash on hand in the event a major appliance goes out. I called them to inform them I had an inspection of my heat and air system and was informed it needed to be replaced. They informed me that a technician would be out to evaluate the issue. The technician agreed the unit needs to be replaced. I asked how much it would cost with the warranty and was told it would be 8000.00 funny thing is the company that did the inspection was only going to charge 7200. Absolutely no point paying for a warranty that doesn’t exist.

I purchased the best policy with American Home Shield. My refrigerator stopped working and I called on January 27, 2023. 2 weeks later a service man came out and told me the COMPRESSOR needed to be replaced. It was approved by American Home Shield. 2 weeks later, on my appointment day, the appliance company called an said they needed an extra part, that needs approval from American Shield. I stated I wanted a cash out and we moved forward with the paperwork. To date, American Home Shield is giving me the run around, stating they need the appliance company to complete paper work. I call every other day and called the appliance company yesterday. They stated they submitted paper work several times. When I call the OFF SHORE REPRESENTATIVES - either the Philipines or Columbia, they are unable to give me a supervisor or connect me with the person looking over my files. So from January 27 to March 17, 2023 I still don't have a working refrigerator. My refrigerator has been sitting for so long and stinks and has black mold now, which is unacceptable. I am waiting for a replacement value in full, not the repair cost of what it costs to put a compressor in. I will try calling again today. I had Fidelity Home Warranty previously and had stellar service. I am paying a lot more for American Shield Premium and it's not worth it. Maybe this site can contact them, and they can call me with a final cash out. RIDICULOUS!!!

Washer service appointment has horrible. I requested service on 3/5. Parts were ordered and sent to my home. But day of appointment on 3/15 we were told that service technician would arrive between 1pm to 5pm. I took the day off of work and then no one ever came to fix the washer. I was later sent an email swaying the technician would come out to fix the washer on 3/22. This is very bad customer service.

Well I called for service for my furnace. I furnace person is 3 hours away and can not get here till Monday the 13th. Then was not aware that u up the monthly amount till I went to balance my check book. U raise my monthly amount from 50.00 to 75.00. Then when I asked to talk to a supervisor I was told they are unavailable
