My Samsung Refrigerator has been leaking water onto my tiled kitchen floor since God know when and AHS has since last year sent one company after another and after changing almost every part in the fridge and it is still leaking, AHS is still sending another company to troubleshoot the problem. Waste of our time. I am already removed and disposed the kitchen rug. In fact I am running out of patience and do not know what to do. When, taking the monthly payment, they have no problem doing that. However, when getting one's problem completely and immediately solved like they promised you when you signed up, it is a different animal all together.

I have been a paying member of American Home shield for the past 10 years. I have an older home and don’t have a lot of n be extra cash on hand in the event a major appliance goes out. I called them to inform them I had an inspection of my heat and air system and was informed it needed to be replaced. They informed me that a technician would be out to evaluate the issue. The technician agreed the unit needs to be replaced. I asked how much it would cost with the warranty and was told it would be 8000.00 funny thing is the company that did the inspection was only going to charge 7200. Absolutely no point paying for a warranty that doesn’t exist.

I purchased the best policy with American Home Shield. My refrigerator stopped working and I called on January 27, 2023. 2 weeks later a service man came out and told me the COMPRESSOR needed to be replaced. It was approved by American Home Shield. 2 weeks later, on my appointment day, the appliance company called an said they needed an extra part, that needs approval from American Shield. I stated I wanted a cash out and we moved forward with the paperwork. To date, American Home Shield is giving me the run around, stating they need the appliance company to complete paper work. I call every other day and called the appliance company yesterday. They stated they submitted paper work several times. When I call the OFF SHORE REPRESENTATIVES - either the Philipines or Columbia, they are unable to give me a supervisor or connect me with the person looking over my files. So from January 27 to March 17, 2023 I still don't have a working refrigerator. My refrigerator has been sitting for so long and stinks and has black mold now, which is unacceptable. I am waiting for a replacement value in full, not the repair cost of what it costs to put a compressor in. I will try calling again today. I had Fidelity Home Warranty previously and had stellar service. I am paying a lot more for American Shield Premium and it's not worth it. Maybe this site can contact them, and they can call me with a final cash out. RIDICULOUS!!!

Washer service appointment has horrible. I requested service on 3/5. Parts were ordered and sent to my home. But day of appointment on 3/15 we were told that service technician would arrive between 1pm to 5pm. I took the day off of work and then no one ever came to fix the washer. I was later sent an email swaying the technician would come out to fix the washer on 3/22. This is very bad customer service.

My entire account has been screwed up since I signed up. I am the owner of a duplex. I informed them I didn't want my tenant to know I was the owner as I lived next door. They swore that my tenant would never find out that I was the owner and that they could get everything correct. However, my management company has telephoned them for several repairs for my tenant. They continue sending me appointment letters for the repairs and confirming the repairs under my email rather than my tenant's. At present, I am a paying customer; however, if things don't change soon, I will no longer do business with them. I have called and talked to someone at customer service to no avail, and now I am just fed up.

My washing machine is broken and AHS sent Marrs Appliance out to attempt to fix it and he did not put the hoses back on before turning the washer on and leaving and it flooded my house. No one has been sent out to fix the flood damage and the company Marrs Appliance never came back out to fix the washer much less fix the flood damage in my home caused by them. My washer is still broken and my claim was submitted 18JAN23 and it is 09MAR23. You cannot get someone that speaks and understands English on the phone nor someone that speaks to a script. It is very frustrating. I have been with this company for many years and it has definitely changed overtime.

If I could give a 0 star, I would. It has been absolutely awful working with American Home Shield, and I will NEVER use AHS again. I requested service to repair my broken washer. We requested back in early December 2022 and to this day (it is now March 9, 2023) the washer is still not fixed. There is no policy in the home warranty that makes these repairs time bound leaving me with no washer for more than 3 months now. Both the technician and AHS have horrible customer service: 1) AHS expects the customer to stay on top of all the next steps with the technician. Several times, the customer rep at AHS told me to call the technician directly to get next steps. If AHS is providing me with a technician that I have no part in choosing and AHS is the final decision maker, then why is AHS asking me to take extra time out of my day to figure out what is going with the technician. Shouldn't this be the accountability and responsibility of AHS? I have literally spent a couple of hours everyday to request updates. It has been an absolute time killer. Why am I being asked to coordinate the repair of my washer when I am paying AHS for this service? 2) Both technician and AHS have shared with me that they blame one another for delays on the washer repair. AHS would say that technician did not order all the parts necessary to repair the washer whereas the technician would says that AHS is slow in response to review and approve parts. I am caught in the middle of this awkward finger pointing. Why can't AHS and technician get on the same page from the beginning? 3) AHS offers no remuneration for all the time and effort I spent to date to get the washer repaired. And to this date, my washer is still not repaired. I literally had to ask for the escalation manager to credit me back my service fee. 4) AHS makes it absolutely impossible to escalate my complaints to a supervisor and / or escalation manager. There is no case # I can reference and nothing is kept on file so when I speak with a customer rep, I have to keep repeating myself each time I call back into the general AHS customer hotline. I found some of these AHS representatives very rude and not helpful; many told me that I could not speak to a supervisor or escalate to an escalation manager. They made it very difficult for me. One AHS rep (who called himself the regional manager for Southern California) was not apologetic for the delay in repair and did not offer any type of customer advocacy or support as I expressed my angst and complaints (he even said that there is nothing he can do for me, and that I just need to wait for the parts to come in for it to be repaired). And guess what, my washer is still not repaired. Unbelievable.

I could not understand the person at the call center. The service charge has gone up from $75 to $100 with no notice to customers. Some had been out to repair my refrigerator 6 or 7 times in 2 years. I’ll see how long this repair lasts. I could have bought a very nice new fridge with all the money I have spent on American Home Shield and the service charge fees.:(

Insurance Company Repair Delays My frustration with the insurance company's delayed response in addressing my rentals property issues. It is indeed unacceptable to wait for weeks for repairs to be made, especially in Florida were air-conditioning is a necessity. The insurance company delayed response in sending someone to address the issue, despite repeated requests. The significant inconvenience I experienced due to the delay, especially if the issue affected the habitability of the property or the safety of the tenants. The fact that I had to pay for the repairs myself because of the insurance company's delayed response, which defeated the purpose of having insurance in the first place. My disappointment in the insurance company's lack of accountability and responsibility in addressing my concerns promptly and effectively. Your only recourse is talking to someone from the Far East that keeps telling you that they will do something, but doesn't. Huge waste of money and time.

I have had no luck with any repairs. One took my copay and said they couldn’t fix it. AHS said it was fixed. Second guy on different issue took copay and reset GFI switch. External plugs needed replacement. I ended up paying my own electrician to do it. Third issue: malfunctioning HVAC was supposed to have new part installed in September. It’s March and it’s still not done. Called to complain last week. Still haven’t heard back.

I don't like leaving a bad review but what to do? The people seem very nice but it's the result that is important here. One, then another, then another subcontractor came to see about a fridge problem that needed to be fixed to meet a deadline (tenant moving in). None of them solved the problem, they just reported (they said) to AHS. AHS told us to buy a small fridge while the problem was resolved and they would recompense us fully. We bought a small fridge and sent the invoice to AHS. We received $0. And the full size fridge was not repaired or replaced so we had to buy one ourselves. And of course no money for that also. Calling and emailing and the result? ... crickets...

They are just okay, I had a problem with my oven. I made a service request for my oven but I have a double oven but one until with one serial number. I thought I had an issue with just the top oven but the bottom oven was having the same issue. They told me I would have to pay twice! It was eventually resolved but the undue stress and haggling back and forth was not necessary I did not feel valued as a customer more like a cash cow!

Things are not going well AT ALL….the hot water heater stopped working last week and I called in, as my renewed membership stated in the contract… got a response from a plumber about 24 hours later with an appointment for 48 hours later. When he came, said he made an adjustment and the heater would have hot water in about 30 minutes. Never happened so called AHS and they noted the fix had not worked and advised calling the plumber directly. After numerous phone calls over a 72 hour period, there is no hot water, no response from the plumber or AHS…. Disappointing and frustrating and my next step is to request the Fraud department of my full annual payment credit card to request a refund…. No help at all from AHS

I am very frustrated with AHS. I have emailed everything they asked for and to the address they told me, but for some reason AHS doesn't have it. After sending the invoice for an approved reimbursement AHS said it would take 14-21 days. So, I called 30 days later only to find out they said they never received the second email. I sent it again for the third time at the exact address they told me. I called again yesterday and the person said he didn't see it. Someone needs to call me and get this problem solved. I have been with AHS for over 20 years. They have always been slow with their service, but this time it is ridiculous.

The wait for service people to call, show up, then wait for parts for such old appliances that should just be replaced is ridiculous. You could end up going a month without something you’re paying good money for every month plus the $100 fee just to show up and then the service people blaming not fixing something or the wait times on the company refusing. Very much so thinking of canceling and looking into another company because we’ve had it almost 2 years and it’s done nothing to help us just added more problems. I can’t imagine how long it would take and we’d be without God for bid the septic or something major went when we’ve had such bad experiences just over a refrigerator and dishwasher and dryer having to wait and be without for a month or more at a time and then the problem not even being fixed and then having to come out again. Just bad service and making a customer be without when you pay good money

Took forever to get correct parts from Delta and the plumbing company wanted to charge me $185 to install my new kitchen faucet that Delta sent . Price pluming said since it took 3 months for Delta to finally get it right that it was past the 30 days time frame and American Home Shield would not honor my contract saying it took to long they agreed with Price Plumbing plus I also requested a master plumber for another claim and Price plumbing refused to send one out and AHS didn't do anything about it. AHS kept promising to call me back with an update every time I called to see what the status was with my claim but, they never would call me back. Tried to cancel AHS bu;t, I have to wait until my contract is up .

I have always liked the fact that AHS is there when I need a major repair but lately the repair companies they send are pretty much sub-par and somewhat inexperienced. I have had to call another company to fix a second time repairs made by an AHS plumbing company. There is no choice of companies which was offered in the past.

The vender never came back to fix my issue since November of 2022, I paid the fee and still have the issue. No light on my oven overhead hood on the stove since November 2022. Moreover, the guy who came to replace the bulb said he needed to get someone to take the hood completely off the wall to put a bulb in it which was ridiculous. I looked on line and saw a demonstration on how to replace the bulb and this does not require a major removal of the hood from the wall!! He took pictures of the serial number and when he came back said he did not have the correct bulb as well. I am planning to cancel the services and will search for another provider who not only keeps their word but actually has dependable employees who know what they are doing. Thanks for nothing.

Well they did a good job making sure I got a new washer but shortly after I got the washer and the installer left the door lock on the Amana washer quit working on first load. Not their fault Aman has quality control issues.

I’ve gotten good service when I call. Majority of the time I have to wait a from a couple of days to a week for parts. To get an replacement appliance to get a replacement appliance I have wait over month because it’s not on stock.

The tech did a “bandage instead of a repair or replace. The heater burners will not stay lit without the inspection cove removed. Seems like a safety hazard to me. If it can’t be back to factory, it should have been replaced. I paid $100 for the tech to do most nothing of a service. This was not satisfactory to me or anything but

Less coverage higher prices. Yes, understand that price can go up but the inflation of the monthly cost of AHS is the highest of any company. While giving less coverage and be unwilling to help long term customers with cost savings solutions.

I was very disappointed with how I was treated during this transaction. I’ve been with this company since 2003 when I brought my first home. I’ve always paid for the highest protection for my homes. To be hung up on by a customer service representative is unacceptable. After sitting on the phone for 40 minutes. I will have to consider should I say with AHS. I’ve given your company my blessing for 20 years stirring a lot of service men and women and firefighters across America. Letting them know how I always appreciated the service until this time. In the 20 years I think I’ve used you guys less than 10x. I very disappointed in the company decision on my last request for service!

For the most part they were good until we chose to have an AC unit replaced and they were supposed to cover the cost of the repair parts that they were contractually required to do when we chose replacement over repair. Even after submitting receipts, they just stopped communicating and after many attempts we just gave up and cancelled their service.

I have found that there are a number of requests for service that I have made that are denied by AHS, in particular a request I made to have my garage door opener fixed/adjusted. When the vendor arrived he informed that AHS would not cover the repairs. As a result of this I paid AHS $100 for nothing. This is unacceptable. In the meantime my fee has risen from around $50 to well over $60. I am now researching competitors to AHS and will likely make a shift when I locate a competitor that provides better coverage.

My real estate agent bought my first year at AMS and by mistake put down the wrong condo number . I have called six times and asked your agents to change the condo number to the correct one. Each time I have been promised that it would be changed. It has never been changed yet. Last month our refrigerator stooped making ice . I pod the $100 fee and the appliance repairman said that our temperature was probably too cold and that’s probably why the ice maker didn’t work. But since the wrong condo address is still On our contract he couldn’t help me. I called your office and all I got was the run around . I still have the wrong condo number on my contract , I’m out $100 and I still pay the fee every month to you and my refrigerator still is broke. Please cancel my contract immediately . Enough is Enough ,

Your response was good. I requested service in Agust, 2022. The technician was last here in September. We've been wating 4 months for a part. I have a $4000 refrigerator. It's a good refrigerator and your offer of $600+ is insulting. I'm beginning to wonder if AHS was a mistake.
