I had this company for a couple of years and paid their rates. When it came time to replace a hot water heater and the appliance tech came to my house, I discovered the $ amount of coverage was less than my out of pocket charge. I looked at a local appliance store, and called a handyman for total cost, and saved myself 40% over what I would have paid. I dropped their coverage because it wasn't a good value for the price.

I like the service overall but I had an issue I needed to talk to a live person and to this date (8 months later) I have not been able to get a response. I emailed every contact I could find with no response. I even responded to their survey they send after service and still no response

I wouldn't reccomend 10 Home Buyers Warranty if you are seeking to cover your HVAC unit. I had to used my 10 Home Buyers Warranty when my HVAC unit wasn't cooling our home. It wasn't until the contractor told me it was going to cost me an additional $300 to replace the ductwork that I discovered 10 Home Buyers Warranty didn't fully cover HVAC unit repairs. This was a game changer for me. The ductwork is a major part of the HVAC unit.
