They installed my system, then I never heard from them. The batteries in my glass shatter alarms went bad 2 weeks after I got the thing and I have to contact Vivint to get them replaced. Half of the door alarm to my back door also came off and now it doesn't work either.

I have not had a totally good experience with Vivint and the young lady that sold me the cameras. I am currently waiting on a Vivint person to come and uninstall my cameras. I wanted to wait to do this survey after the equipment has been uninstalled, but I see that this is the last chance I have to do this survey.

I have to say I am okay with the system but feel the sales person did me wrong. He told me I could cancel by A certain day. And when I did he lied to me I was one day late yo cancel. He was rude and disrespectful. The installation guys were not good. Half did their job. I had to get another guy out. I really feel I was tricked into this 2600 system I did not want for 5 dang years. I am a senior citizen and he lied to me.

Bittersweet, the system overall it's average from from the great system they advertise and definitely not worth the price of the equipment video quality is outdated customer service lack the ability to solve problems and technicians aren't as knowledgeable or well trained in fact some are butchers that damaged multiple walls in my brand new home not to mention the response turn around time is outrageous takes them almost 3 weeks to send somebody out to troubleshoot a problem.

Not the greatest experience at all. The app is always unavailable. Cameras do not connect to view them. I always have to keep rebooting the system for it to work. The indoor camera is a joke. Its always locking up and the picture freezes where you have to get out of the app and reconnect.Very annoying. I should not have to deal with these issues among others considering the cost of this system.Not cheap.

I have a couple of things that I noticed over the last couple of months...when the electricity goes out, the door ell camera does not work, also, I have a hard time hearing the door bell since its in the back bedroom, can another door bell be installed at a location near the front of the house???

the system is slow in connecting to your phone so that you can answer the door once the door bell rings. many times there is no way to communicate with the person at the door because of the link process between the system and my $1500 iphone! yes your system is quite frustrating, this is when i am home and the connection is much worse if i am away from home. i will put it this way, i have not been able to communicate one single time with someone at the door since we installed the system. My friend spent less than $200 for the "Ring door Bell" and it works a thousand time better and i spent close to $3000 for this. I really feel like you have taken advantage of us. its the worst system i have ever encountered

The only negative thing is that we realized that part of property is not being covered after thirty days and when we called for more equipment they said we couldn’t get it, we had to get it all the time of purchase. The equipment is very good and it does monitor well. It is accessible.

At first, things are great. The representative selling you the equipment bends over backwards to answer questions and make you feel at ease. After installation the rep stays in contact for a week or so and than goes ghost. Won't return a call or text. We have been complaining that our camera's are going off line for several days at a time. When this happens nothing is recording. We got a system for our home and our business. Camera's go offline at both sites. Not happy.

Mediocre. Door lock keeps failing. I was given instructions to "test" it and it did not work. I was given an appointment window. Tech did not show up and his "windown" was longer than the one I received. Lock was fixed, now its failing to lock again. All this in only a few months of new service. Not really impressed at all!!!

I love the technology. How ever the sales rep promised to buy us out of our Previous security provider and now Im stuck with 2 payments. This was the only reason i agreed to contracting with Vivint. I like the system that i recommended my self to get service in my warehouse building. I haven't received the kick back money they also promised for referring someone.

Purchased after high pressure sale of having to buy today for "discounted price". Cancelled on 3rd day realizing I had no use for the system. They never contacted me to come remove equipment and then sent me an email saying they "tried to contact me and couldn't" and that if I didn't contact them I would have to pay for the equipment despite the cancellation saying it's their job to contact me within 30 days or I can dispose of the system myself (again I was never contacted, no emails and no calls/messages). Called and got the system removed and was told I would be refunded within 10 days. Vivint then took another set of payments out from my account. I called and customer service said it would be refunded by the end of the week. It's now 2 weeks later and still no refund has been given. Company feels shady and overcharges for hardware. Also doesn't mention that signing a contract and paying for the equipment over time results in you being locked into a 6 year contract! That's longer than most car contracts. Horrible.

A door to door sale agent came by on a Friday evening and he would not leave even after being asked if we could touch base later as our 3 young children were fussy and crying. As soon as the tech came he left for another “appointment” at 8pm on a Friday night. He was supposed to check back and never has. We were sure what we were charge for so we call to request receipts for it to 3 calls and 2 weeks later. Things we were told we free (doorbell camera and installation) we were charged for. Very unhappy with the communication and the customer service.

My initial experience was 5 star! I loved my new system so much I wanted to add another camera and one more door lock. This is the point where my 5 star rating ends! After much confusion on the phone I was finally able to add the additional items I wanted and I paid for them over the phone that day. When the installer came the following week my husband who is on the account as well was home. I was at work, no one ever said I needed to be home. So after a big discussion with the install tech he finally decided I could e sign the documents which I did. However.....this is where it gets even worse..... the tech claims he couldn’t see the documents on his I pad....even though I signed them on my I phone????? He kept telling my husband they “didn’t come over” and it’s a “software issue”. After 2 hours of waiting around the technician left without installing anything. He told my husband Someone would be in touch to reschedule 2 weeks later.....I made sever calls. The last call took one hour and 12 minutes to complete!!!!!!! And to be scheduled for an install I paid for weeks ago!!!!!!! My final install date will be oct 10. My system was purchased on sept 1!!!!!! That’s 6 weeks and it’s not completed yet!!! This is some of the worst customer experience I’ve ever received!!

It was dissatisfying ...I’m still waiting on someone to call me to secure the other side of my house.. it’s been a priority with vivint for 4 weeks now and no one has called like they are suppose to ...my back Door to the garage is unsecured which leave one side of my home unsecured....I have called several times and no one has returned my call yet....my doorbell done at ring and the Cameron freezes all the time....I’m dissatisfied and want to remove the service....

Too much for equipment. Was told $1200 but was charged $1900 without consent because the tech but an extra box for WiFi in my room. The doorbell video takes too long to load to my phone. By the time it loads whomever was at my door is either gone or already inside. Could’ve added ring to ADT for so much cheaper

Terrible. started having problems only three days after installation. In only four months the thermostat has quit working three times not allowing the air conditioning to turn on. One of the sensors fell out of the door two weeks after installation the Vivint wanted to charge me to send a replacement out. The door lock and garage door only. work intermittently. i have had to send the unlock door command sometimes three times before it will unlock the door. Pretty frustrating with your hands full of groceries. the garage door will tell me the command to open the door failed and I look and the garage door is wide open. this has been the most regrettable purchase I have ever made. Unethical and misleading sales practices. Our Salesman told us in no uncertain terms that if at any point we were dissatisfied all we needed to do was simply call them and they would come remove the equipment and terminate the contract. that turned out to be an outright lie.I now have been informed that if I terminate, I will be responsible to pay for all of the equipment and for fifty percent of the remaining monitoring fees at a total cost to me of over $4,000.00! Don't believe what your salesman tells you and don't sign the contract without reading and agreeing with tha fine print.

Meh. Have the standard home package. Nothing more special than an app based plan for technology. I chose for the monitoring. Tech isn't any better than another in my opinion. My app keeps crashing, and can't access the talk feature on one of my cameras (let them know, and a ticket was created and still waiting for a "let me help" or "that's too bad" or "let me fix it" but haven't heard anything. And the online payment shows me as "pay immediately" when I'm on a auto draft program so .... not all that impressed.

I have the Vivint doorbell camera, home security hub, 2 glass breaks, and smoke detector. The doorbell camera goes offline almost 50% of the time someone is detected which basically makes it useless. I have called and have not gotten help resolving the issue. I even increased my internet to see if that was the issue and it is not. The reaction time for detecting someone on the camera is also very delayed. I sometimes don’t get notification about a detection until they are walking away. After 1 month of installation I had both of the batteries of my glass breaks indicate low battery and need to be replaced. I did get a credit to my account to replace the battery but I think it’s ridiculous that the batteries barely lasted 30 days. I would not recommend these products to anyone.
