I was told that all creditors will be contacted, but one was not. They filed a lawsuit and now I am paying $125 a month more. This is now more than I was paying before FRD got involved. I am retired and have filed for disability. At present I am unemployed because I can't work. The extra money per month is really hurting me, I have to choose between medicine and paying my increased payment each month.

I have mixed emotions about FDR. They have helped in a tight spot, yet, have also given me misinformation leading to voided settlements. My monthly payments are so high I cannot live and I am given problems when I try to lower them. They also have a hard time giving you anything in writing or letting you talk to a supervisor. I've paid them over $27000 and the majority of that money has gone to their fees.

We the clients need to be more informed on the negotiation process Decisions are being made for us without getting further input from us Every case is different and personal financial circumstances are always changing Some negotiations aren’t being made due to not enough funds in my account If they would reach out to me I could make an effort to acquire more money through my family so that the negotiations will be made and my creditors would begin to get paid off sooner. No negotiations means more accrued penalties in the form of late fees and interest This in turn makes my balances go higher and when there is a negotiation on the table you are also negotiating the extra penalties owed and basically I’m not getting that much of a mark down and not saving as much Need to stop the bleeding so that the client can truly get a good deal out of the negotiations

On paper FDR looks great, and if you like being treated like a complete moron it is a great company. We were sent a settlement to look at for approval. It showed a total to be paid and how many months, but not what the monthly payment was. When I first asked I was told that I did not need to know that. The truth was that the payments were ballooning over time. My experience so far is that FDR is a company that has something to hide and don't want anyone to look very close into their policies and actions.

The hard part is letting your credit score go down until a settlement is obtained. I am still waiting for the first payment to be made on this settlement to see if this helps my credit score to start improving. I hope as settlements are made and payments start going to my creditors I will feel much better.

It was a good experience. FDR were very attentive when we had questions. Our only concern was that we were never late to make payments to the creditors. However, when we did the consolidation we had to stop making payments so they could negotiate better. One of my creditors ended up sueing us in court and it made it drawn out longer.

mostly positive, only complant I have is trying to take care of a collection company trying to collect on an account that has been setteled. nlg must have a signature from some one at Clearfield bank signing off on the setelment, and I don't understand what is taking so long to resolve this.

Freedom Debt does what it says it will do. I am about 6 months into my program and 3 of my accounts have a settlement in place. Paying off debt takes time and it does ruin your credit score but not paying the debt does that as well. Looking forward to settling the others on my list.
