I called to get my total amount of deposit reduced. I was told multiple time by the associate on the line that I could not because it would be rejected. I explained several times that my new amount would still cover everything currently be paid and anything tgat would be styled in the near future. It was only through escalation to a Manager was it taken care of. I should not have had to go through that since it’s ultimately my my money until paid to the creditor.

I just wish I would have asked or they would have explained that this was going to ruin my credit while trying to pay this stuff off because in my case I had a 740 credit score and never missed a payment but due to hospital Bill's had to take loans and became over whelmed with trying not to miss payments to keep a good credit score but being broke and getting anywhere hopefully itll help and I can rebuild it smarter this time life goes on

My experience has been decent paying off certain debt was my goal. The reduced amount when offered a settlement seems as though the charges and fees replace the amount that was owed to the collector. The bills do get taken care of but the credit shows up on Bureau reports as charge off bad debt. Not sure which is more helpful.

I enrolled in the program over a year ago (May 2018). I enrolled 20 credit card accounts and to-date (Oct 2019) , 15 have reached settlement agreements. I have also started to see a slow increase in my credit score. If you are frustrated and overwhelmed with your debit situation I would recommend FDR.

People are in financial hardship you set an amount monthly to be deposited, just because there may be an extra week in a month doesn't mean you take out 3 times that month after we've already satisfied our monthly deposit then get a hard time when I cant pay you 3 time a month instead of twice. Get with it, we dont have the money that's why we asked for your "help"

While I have had a good experience with Freedom Debt Relief the last experience was not. Freedom Debt Relief came back with a settlement offer the original was 18 thousand and some with a settlement for 14,868 plus fees for 3600 I believe. Not a good settlement for me maybe for FDR but not myself. So I have rejected this settlement. Thank you Edward Baum

I think it's great that they help pay down your debt. However, when I set this account up and spoke with my adviser, he bragged about how the average debt relief was between 40% and 50% of the debt. However, they then charge an exorbitant fee to complete the payoff. The fee makes the debt relief more like 75% of the original value. It appears there are other non-profit companies that offer the same service with far less if any fees.

Resolving debt in general has been great, however I have received 2 letters from collection agencies and neither Freedom nor NLLG have done anything to assist me. The first one I had to resolve myself, and I still haven’t gotten a response regarding the second one other than “it will be put in your file”. This in completely unsatisfactory and unacceptable.

It is not uncommon for creditors to refer the owed balance to third party collection agencies to continue collection attempts. Everything works well and it is a very easy program UNLESS you have any kind of hiccup, which of course we had. It has been a year and a half and our account is just at a stand still and no one can give us an update or any other information regarding this account. Not to mention, suit was filed in regards to this "hiccup", and we were told that Freedom Debt Relief represented us therefore we could not speak to the defense, however, no one at FDR spoke to them either. We sent all of the documentations to FDR and were told it would be handled. Then we received a judgment and FDR is now stating that we would have needed to contact their legal department for them to have helped. This is critical information that we needed at that time, and their response -"I'm sorry no one told you that" , in a very condescending voice. I feel like we have paid "settlement fees" for nothing considering when we actually needed their help and guidance they were just asleep at the wheel, collecting their check.
