Well I just started the program and so far it has been one problem after another. They had the wrong account number on file. They tried to get a payment from my account before the date that I agreed to. One of the accounts still took the ACH from my account even though I provided them with the documentation that Freedom Debt told me to do. I am just really concerned at this time.

The initial phone conversation with FDR in no way indicated that it would take months to settle our debt. Maybe I should have more questions and not taken things at face value. As of now, they have only resolved 2 debts. I feel like I am constantly inundated with phone calls from creditors. I was actually served with a court summons. The legal team did handle that. In retrospect, I feel like maybe I did not make the best decision in chosing FDR.

I have been disappointed with how long it takes for Freedom Debt Relief to negotiate a settlement with the creditors. I have gotten three court decisions before a settlement has been reached or even sought out. I believe this hindered our ability to negotiate a lower balance payment. I also am very disappointed that there is no wiggle room with adjusting payment dates any longer. I have never missed one payment but in the past have adjusted my payment dates so that I am able to run my household and manage the large consolidated payment that I agreed to with FDR. When adjusting the dates I always was aware when my payment to the creditor would be withdrawn and never put that payment in danger. Instead of changing dates I now have a one lump sum coming out when I get paid on the 21st to accommodate the payment date to the vendor which is fine but it was easier to manage the bi-weekly payment just because it wasn't such a large payment all at once. I would not recommend this service for others. I was desperate when I sought out FDR and am looking forward to completing my business with FDR.

They are determined, in that they resolve your debt for as low possible to ensure that they are able to charge exorbitant fees that almost make their resolution null and avoid with regard to your out of pocket expense. They will tell you that they resolved an account for half and then charge you more than half of what you're saving. Well at least they're consistent with bill paying and fee collecting.
