I thought my settlements would be for a larger percentage of the debt. I have been sued by a company that I only owed $1500; I cannot imagine they did not reach a settlement. I am now paying that company $1600 on a monthly basis. I could have done that on my own. Because of that I am concerned about my remaining debts that continue to accrue interest. Will I end up paying them more too?

I really do not feel to confident about my decision. I have not been in this situation, so my anxiety level is high and this organization has not made me feel any better. Last person I spoke was Etrey Estrada out of California and I have sent him an email, but he has yet to respond...I feel like I was hooked on to the fishing line and now, let's go for a ride. I just need reassurance and I feel uncomfortable due to the fact that I received a brochure from Freedom Debt Relief what to do if I were to be SUED......... THIS IS SCARING... Misleading information, unanswered questions (or wrong answers), did not inform of tax penalties, did not inform of percentage of fees taken, nor ALL of the additional fees charged each month (i.e. bank fees, check fees, payment fees, email fees.....etc). Untrained staff with misleading or incorrect information that changes with each call I have put in. RUINED my credit....no way to back out once you are in and told it takes approx. 6 months before credit will start to improve...been enrolled for over a year and some accts. STILL have not been negotiated. Ended up paying more than I owed to begin with AND get 1099C for amounts higher than I owed in the first place. Extended approximate time of completion by9 months with an agreement to settle at $ 5.00/mt for FORTY EIGHT MONTHS?!?!?! Longer than I was even supposed to be in the program to begin with with just that one negotiation!! Stupid!!! Overall.....TERRIBLE MISTAKE to enter this program!!!!

I am so confused regarding FDR ,some of the creditors state this company really is not helping me, but it is actually more detrimental to me and my credit history. Companies continue to call me daily. The time that it takes for FDR to offer the creditors something, by that time my credit is ruined, with delinquencies,and perhaps a 3rd party collection. I was a little hesitant at first because I didn’t think Freedom Debt Relief could really reduce the amount of my debt. It has been a year now and they negotiated 5 or 6 of my debts reducing them to half of the original cost. And several have already been paid off.
