I receive service from Verizon whenever in reasonable places and my coverage is always strong. I also really like the unlimited data plan. I'm not constantly worrying how much data I have to share between me and the three other phones on the plan. It also been nice to be able to receive service in Hawaii and Mexico when I travel without additional costs

I have been a customer of Verizon since I was 16 years old when I got my very first cell phone. A couple years back I got fed up with the cost and the service and switched to sprint. Sprint was soooo much worse than Verizon and they could not provide the promised service, so I dropped them and went back to Verizon. The cost is high, which can be a challenge at times, but the service is the best.

I've been with Verizon for over a decade now. I have only had problems with a PHONE, NOT Verizon. Which isn't their fault it's the manufacturer's problem. If I did have an issue with Verizon, it was taken care of very quickly. If I was in a financial snag, they have been so great in helping me set up a different payment plan until I was able to get back to "normal." Helping customers like that is so importing. Stuff happens and great to know that they were willing to work with me as long as I communicated with them what was going on.

Our family has been with Verizon for over 16 years and have been very happy with the service, products, and ease of taking care of problems when needed. They have a great warranty service and very good cell range coverage where ever we go. We have a family plan with 7 lines and unlimited data and it's very easy to take care of our bill through auto pay.

I have been with them for 14 years and always have incredible service and almost never drop calls. Truly reliable. Their customer service has just been ok over the years, but the quality of the network does enough to compensate for average customer service. I use their unlimited data plan and have bought a number of products from them that are all quit good.

We love Verizon because they have the best reception anywhere in America, and our phones never have annoying dropped calls. They have awesome customer service, and their employees are well trained and competent. They always answer my questions quickly and are very knowledgeable about their products. I love the new data plans that are unlimited and not having to watch my data usage constantly. It's a lifesaver!

I have used the customer service via phone and also in multiple in-store branches. It is busy and sometimes takes a little while to talk with someone, but I have always been able to get my issues resolved. The actual service is better than the previous two cell phone companies my family has used. I have still dropped a few phone calls, but not nearly as much.

Horrible in honoring their promotions. My husband and I live in Philly and had changed to Verizon fios for internet service. At the time there was a promotion for $200 gift card if we signed up with them as a first time customer. Skipping ahead to the present, we’re moving back to Jersey and unfortunately they don’t have service in the area where we are moving to. The customer service representative stated that we had to return the $200 giftcard because we were with them for less than 6 months. What kind of joke is that? It’s not like we’re intentionally going with a different internet company, Verizon doesn’t service in the area we will be going to. But, of course, “there’s nothing they can do” in needing us to return a $200 giftcard they GIFTED us for signing up. Ridiculous. Trust me when I say we’ll never go back to Verizon and we’re definitely not recommending them to anyone we know.

Verizon has been illegally keeping a carrier lock on my husband’s iPhone 14 Pro for 80 days, prohibiting him from using another eSIM and carrier. It’s been 49 days of speaking to their uneducated Verizon Support team and still no resolution. The Phone was paid IN FULL on August 27 from a Verizon store in Idaho Falls, Idaho. We were promised it would unlock after 60 days, which would be October 27. Here we are, 141 days later and Verizon is fully incapable of resolving the issue that they have caused. We live in Sweden and my husband can’t use our local carriers because of these literal morons at Verizon don’t know how to unlock his phone, although they “promise” it will be resolved in the next 48hrs. Try 48hrs as in 49 days and counting??? A bunch of scammers!!! Literally NEVER buy a phone from Verizon if you want it to be unlocked. They are a scam. Buy directly from Apple or your preferred brand because Verizon will treat you like shit and illegally keep your phone locked.

Verizon's customer service and coverage areas are good, but the prices aare ridiculous. Every once in a while my bill would spike and I would have eto be on the phone for what seemed like hours to figure out what happened.

If I could I would give Verizon 0 stars! They are absolutely terrible and I would highly recommend never using their service. I went to best buy about a year ago and they talked me into trading my note in for an $800 credit towards my new phone. I was like yes what a steal. I was told by doing this, my phone bill would decrease from $130 to about $105. Once I decided to move forward with the trade-in, I was handed a paper on how to apply the promotion (IF) it didn't work. Red flag! Run away! They said my first 3 bills would be more then it should go down to $105 ...well it never did. I kept having issues with my service and when I would call they would just say the towers were getting worked on. I just started my own small business and I wasn't getting any messages or calls for over 2 weeks, my boyfriend who also owns a business had the same issue. We both were not receiving calls, texts and non of our apps were working consistently. After many hours on the phone and terrible customer service, we decided to leave the company and go with T-mobile. This is when I discovered I NEVER got a credit for the phone I traded in. I was told I would get an $800 trade-in. I got 0! They also said you don't get the $800 credit applied to the account right away. You receive $22 ecery month off your bill for 3 years! When I was switching companies they told me I had to pay $600 to pay off the remaining balance of my new phone. I told them I had traded in my old phone at best buy and never got credited. I also was informed that I overpaid on my bill $22 a month for a year. This was supposed to be credited back to me and never was. Once I switch to T-mobile I still got charged another phone bill and I was no longer with the company. Then I got charged $790 for the remaining balance of the device I (still owed on). When I checked it said $600 and I was never credited the $800 for my trade-in, was overcharged on my phone bill for a year and paid another phone bill on top of that! I spent countless hours talking to one representative after another and getting redirected for hours. They told me sorry, there's nothing we can do! I stopped into verizon and spoke with a manager. Even he did not understand what all the additional charges were for. He told me the best they could is refund $187 for the trade in of my old phone. So they took almost $800 out of my account without my approval. This caused my financial hardship and of course they do this right before Christmas. No one will help me and they will not refund the money they STOLE from me. They are thieves and I will NEVER use Verizon EVER again!

I wouldn’t recommend Verizon. I’ve been with this company since my first cell phone in 1998. For over 20 years I never had problems, always got great customer support, didn’t have complications, and didn’t feel like I was being overcharged. Now, in the past couple years, all of the above apply. I guess you just got too big to care Verizon. I actually changed my plan through the app over a month ago and for some reason it didn’t happen in real life. When I tried calling and getting someone to help me with doing that, it was a complete zoo. I finally gave up. I am tired of Verizon overpricing, bad customer service, app crashes and in general it’s a pain in the neck to do anything. If I didn’t have a phone to pay off I would move to another provider and as soon as I can pay off this device that’s what I’m doing.

Verizon has been a trustworthy service for me in the past, but I've found that it is slightly more limited in its services and found that I get greater value for my money with other streaming services. Overall, a solid phone provider/service, but could make improvements with internet speed, affordability, and functionality.

Excellent service, but go to the bank! I had Verizon for over 15 years! They dropped the 20% discount to $25 off. They are the most expensive service there is in my area. Other cellular carriers are stepping up their game and they offer the 20% discount.

i tried there home internet service and it was horrible from day 1 I had to had to have multiple modems and when I decided that it wasn't going to work for me it was a real headache to even send the 2 modems back. I was told that I would get a credit on my account for the inconvenience I never received it, I had to call numerous times just to get the charges removed from my account and this ending up being a nightmare as I have had their cell phone service phone 20 plus years and they are just going down hill. I am truly disappointed that I never received what promised and that the service has gotten so terrible especially the customer service as they don't do what they keep their word on what is to be done

I was a Verizon customer for nearly 20 years. The service was very reliable and I was reluctant to leave because of this. The sharply rising prices, especially recently however, finally prompted me to switch. Immediately after switching, Verizon cut off my access to see my bill. As I recall, when I signed up for Verizon all those years ago, I had to prepay for the first month of service. I ended my service with Verizon at the end of my billing cycle yet they oddly owe me only 39 cents which even that, I doubt I’ll see. While I enjoyed the quality of the service, I will not miss the expense. My new service is $100 cheaper per month and is working great.

I miss the days when they offered phone upgrades. I’m currently on a family plan and while my rate is low ($50/line for unlimited text calls and internet) I’ve also got the same phone since 2018 because I can’t afford a new one. Their service area is unmatched and I often flaunt in front of AT&T customers that if I didn’t have Verizon none of us would have service to call an Uber. Verizons website is a tad clunky but it’s also easier to reach a human than it is for other customer service lines

Had Verizon for 5 years, expensive, but no problems. My dog has heart failure, spent $5,000 last six months getting her set. She is stable and outlook is as good as could be expected. All my creditors helped me financially by deferring payments, except Verizon. They gave me one extra week, my bill was $452, which i accepted, they charged me $10 for speaking to a representative. Verizon never processed the payment. I called to see what happened, they made another arrangement, added a late fee and another $10. When I got the text about the fees, I am furious, call back to dispute because it was Verizon's error, not mine. They told me too bad about the fees, then charged me another $10. I told them that I am not paying these extra fees because of their error. They said they will be making a negative report to the credit bureaus damaging my credit. After 5 years, they would do this, even after learning of my dogs condition. I just needed some extra time to catch up. Verizon just hammered me with baseless fees and intends to damage my credit. Buyer beware of this company.

Moved from another carrier which was a nightmare. I've spent hours trying to get service, register as a customer, sign up for Autopay, apply for military discount, redeem my rebates, etc. Nothing has been easy & I've spent hours on hold for customer service. Customer Service & tech support are helpful once you finally get a hold of someone but you might be on hold for an hour or more. Online instructions are unclear & you get locked out of tasks without warning, if you make too many attempts. The entire process of becoming a new customer is such a hassle. It almost seems like they purposely make it difficult just to discourage you from taking advantage of rebates & discounts.

We've had Verizon for 22 years and have 5 lines on their unlimited plan. Great coverage is their only pro, which is actually huge. We recently switched to Xfinity Mobile to save $100 per month. To our shock, we were billed for our entire billing period when we switched, even though we switched mid-cycle. We also realized we had been being billed for Disney Plus, which we never used. I do recall Verizon sending a text over a year ago announcing they were providing a free trial of Disney Plus. We never used it and had no idea we were being billed $8.99 per month, since we auto-pay our bill each month. Their site doesn't recognize my log in, so I've had to call them and wait on perma-hold to try and resolve. One rep said he was putting thru a request to credit us $180. I never heard back and never received a credit. Finally called back and eventually got through and was told NOPE!! Super shoddy customer service IMO. You should treat exiting customers with the same level of service you would treat existing customers.

The best part of Verizon for me was their selection of phones and reliability in coverage. Their customer service is lacking because their hold times have always been lengthy prior to COVID. If your call is disconnected with AT&T, they will at least call you back. With Verizon, you might as well try your call again. The departments that transfer you do not do a good job of noting your accounts which means you have to repeat your issues over and over. I wouldn't go with Verizon as long as I have a choice.

The actual phone service quality might be solid, but their call in support is TERRIBLE! I have had a Verizon corporate account for over 20 years and anything to do with their phone support has been bottom of the barrel. In store support is the way to go, when you can manage that. In the last 22 years, I have made one or two payment errors and they have ZERO cooperation for resolution. I was out of town and they actually (supposedly) terminated service on our lines. After paying with a credit card immediately, to regain service, they charged an additional $208.00 to "reconnect" the service on our 8 phone lines. I have been on hold for 45 minutes now to speak with a representative. I wont bore you with the rest of the details. This is NOT how I treat any of my customers. Big time FAIL!

Don't ever buy a phone from Verizon. I just bought a phone a week ago bc my old one (only a year old) kept looping and would not charge or turn on. When I bought the phone, I asked if I was locked into their service or anything, and the employee (kind of new) said no, they don't do that anymore. I explained that my dad retired and was cancelling our family plan, so I would have to switch services soon, as well. I was not told about any 60 day lock policy on new phones. I paid for my phone in FULL PRICE. Yesterday morning, I finally started to set up my new Mint Mobile service, put in the SIM card... and found out the phone was locked into Verizon. I couldn't (and have not been able to since then) make/receive calls or texts. Ugh--I waited on the phone for 30 min, then gave up and went in the store and then spent another 30-45 min on the phone. Finally, someone sent in an unlock appeal... I waited 24 hours--all the find out this morning that the appeal was denied! I have not been able to use my phone, and I spent $400 and so much of my time (buying the phone and trying to unlock it) on this. :( Verizon is a big company with all the power, and all they are interested in is power and control. I can't believe that I paid for my phone in full, and I can't even use it, and they are not helping me. I feel powerless as a customer and consumer. I just know that I am NEVER buying a phone from Verizon again, and I will think long and hard before ever using them as my service provider again.

I had Verizon for over 15 years because they always had the best signal. last year I bought a house just north of Phoenix and could not get any kind of call through. Texts made it sometimes, but not always. When I talked to the local store they had no idea if they were going to be adding towers in our area. I had to switch to ATT who just built a tower I can see from my front porch. Now I get 5G.

Verizon is easy to work with. I do like having their app on my phone. As with any other product you have to do your research. For instance as a family we were considering going with their unlimited data plan. Everything customer service said sounded good and we could actually save money. I love Excel spreadsheets so I made one up for each family member and entered the cost information in for the unlimited plan. The outcome - two of our family would actually save money, and the other three would be paying much more.

I believe that Verizon on a whole are very expensive. They charge for every single thing. They keep reprogramming their On Demand and many things that were free are now being charged for. We had good coverage with Verizon, but did not like their business practices. A Verizon rep called us to say we were not using the amount of data which we were paying for and she was going to help us change our plan so we would pay less money. Very soon after our plan was changed, we started to receive overage charges. No surprise here: when we called to get back on our previous plan, rep said we couldn't go back to that "loyalty plan/service/special" (or whatever they called it) because we agreed to another plan. So, they solicit us under the guise of saving us money, but it turned out to be a sneaky way of getting rid of long-time loyal customer plans (must have been losing money on us).

They are the highest quality of phone carriers and often have the best service, but they have terrible customer service. It feels like they just try to sell you everything and there are always more fees than you would expect. If you are coming in for a simple question on phone upgrades or adding a new line, expect to spend $15-30 more a month than you anticipated.
