The Good

  • Family of Brands
  • Travel Accommodations
  • Navigation
  • Hotel Guidebook

Family of Brands

For over 20 years, Priceline has cultivated and evolved its travel booking service to keep travelers coming back as often as possible. The company's family of brands includes Booking.com, Kayak, Agoda.com, Rentalcars.com, and OpenTable, just to name a few. As part of The Priceline Group, Priceline travelers can expect to see results comprised of information from thousands of booking sites.

Travel Accommodations

Priceline seeks to give its customers as much freedom as possible by allowing them to name their preferred price and bid for their trip accommodations. Travelers can book the following through Priceline's platform:

  • Hotels
  • Flights
  • Rental cars
  • Vacation packages
  • Cruises

Navigation

Priceline has made it so that its platform is easy to navigate, offers some of the best deals in the industry, and gives travelers the "low down" on each vacation and travel package that is offered on its website. Consumers can search for vacation options by destination or star rating in order to quickly find what they are looking for.

Hotel Guidebook

One of the best services offered by Priceline is its hotel guidebook, which helps travelers understand the features and services that they will receive from each hotel that they are considering.

The Bad

  • Pricing Discrepancies
  • Limited Foreign Listings
  • Travel Insurance Concerns

Pricing Discrepancies

There are some discrepancies in terms of pricing that Priceline customers should be aware of. For instance, resort fees are not included in bidding, which means that even if a customer gets a hotel deal on Priceline, they could be subject to additional resort fees of $25 or more. This obscure part of its terms of services could greatly inflate travel prices for customers who purchase a stay at a hotel or resort.

Limited Foreign Listings

For American consumers looking to travel internationally, Priceline is not the optimum first choice due to its limited offerings for out-of-country accommodations. Priceline's foreign vacation deals are limited to the following destinations:

  • Puerto Rico
  • The Caribbean
  • The Bahamas
  • Cancun

Travel Insurance Concerns

While Priceline does offer travel protection, there are some concerns about this feature. For example, the company's travel protection coverage is not available outside of the United States. Although Priceline does a nice job of meeting the needs and interests of those traveling within the U.S., the needs and interests of individuals traveling outside of the country are not covered. Travelers should also be aware that Priceline's travel protection does not cover voluntary trip changes or cancellations.

gavel

The Bottom Line

Priceline offers booking for several travel accommodations, including flights, hotels, rental cars, cruises, and vacation bundles. The company also provides effective navigation and a hotel guidebook to help customers quickly find exactly what they are looking for.

However, Priceline's foreign listings are limited and its travel insurance is not available outside of the United States. Additionally, consumers should be aware that they may be subject to additional resort fees not included in their initial bid.

⭐ If I could give ZERO stars, I would! ⭐ I booked a hotel through Priceline, but due to an airline-canceled flight (not my fault), I couldn’t check in. Despite the cancellation being beyond my control, Priceline refused to refund me, kept my money, and provided no solution. First, their customer service was unhelpful, telling me it was “not their problem” and that I should contact the hotel directly. However, when I reached out to the hotel, they confirmed that Priceline was responsible for the payment and only Priceline could process a refund. When I called back Priceline, they still refused to help, repeating their “policy” like robots instead of resolving the issue. Even the customer service manager was completely unhelpful and dismissive. This is an outright scam and unfair business practice. I paid for a service I NEVER received, and Priceline is keeping my money with no accountability. I checked the Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaints, and I am shocked to see thousands of similar cases reported just in the past few days. This is not an isolated incident—it’s a systematic scam designed to trap customers with rigid refund policies while profiting from unfair cancellations. I have already disputed this charge with my credit card company and filed official complaints with the BBB, FTC (Federal Trade Commission), and consumer protection agencies. I will continue to share my experience across social media and travel platforms to warn others. ⚠️ I strongly advise everyone to AVOID Priceline at all costs! This company is dishonest, unethical, and profits from stealing customers’ money. Do NOT book anything through Priceline unless you want to risk losing your money with zero customer support! #PricelineScam #AvoidPriceline #TravelScam #WorstCustomerService #NeverAgain

Make sure when your make a reservation you are not redirected to Priceline website I made 2 nights reservation in holiday inn. posted price was 166 I got a confirmation of total charges of 512 dollars I immediately cancelled the reservation. Exact 3 minutes gap between the confirmation email and cancellation email I called to ensure no changes applied, the Priceline rep confirmed the cancellation but no refund The most expensive 3 minutes I paid for no service It took me two hours moving from one agent to another escalating my case with absolute no solution It is a scam Please pay attention when the website is re directed to Third party. Sure enough reserving directly from holiday inn website was 200 dollar cheaper

On 03/13/24, I purchased a prepaid rental car though Priceline, for a trip to Phoenix on March 23rd. On March 22nd, I received a second confirmation, with a link to the reservations with a link to the Thrifty Car Rentals website so that I could check into my reservation in advance. I clicked on the link, which took me to a page on the Thrift site that said that no rental reservation existed with that confirmation number. I contacted Thrifty directly and they confirmed that there was no reservation for the requested dates or under my name, and that the Confirmation Number was not valid. It was very fortunate that I clicked on that link, because if I had just showed up at the rental counter, they would have had no car for me and I would have been forced to purchase an entirely new reservation at a much higher cost. I contacted Priceline immediately, and after a long wait I was that they needed to call Thrifty themselves because "sometimes the Priceline reservations are in a different system and don't show up for the Thrifty representative." Priceline put me on hold while they tried to call Thrifty, but when they found out that the wait time was ten minutes, they cancelled the call because "they can't wait on hold more than two minutes." I escalated the issue, and after another long wait and a series of holds, they told me that it was too late in the evening to call Thrifty, and they would have to try again in the morning (the day of my flight). I called early and after another long wait and series of holds, they managed to confirm with Thrifty that the reservation didn't exist, and instead of trying to make a new reservation, they said they could only offer me a refund. Since they gave me no other choice, I accepted the refund, which took three days do post back to my credit card. The only saving grace was that Kayak got me a car that day for only about $40 more, with absolutely no issues. I will not be using Priceline ever again.

Horrible. Booked a hotel with Priceline and paid for a specific larger, more expensive room type. They sent the cheapest room type to Agoda, Agoda booked it and sent the cheapest room type to the hotel. When i check in the hotel give me the cheapest room type, when i question it and show my Priceline booking for the higher room they said that's not what they got and to contact Agoda. Agoda says that's what they got from Priceline and the contact Priceline. Priceline says it was booked through them but by Agoda so to contact Agoda... spent 4 hours trying to sort it out at the front desk while on the phone with both of them and waiting on hold for hours. Ended up with the cheapest room while paid for a more expensive room. Now both Priceline and Agoda are pointing at each other and neither are helpful nor refunding me for the difference in room type. SCAM, takes higher amount, sends lower amount and pockets the difference. NEVER use, not helpful, SCAM of a company.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. This company feels like a scam, especially in partnership with Xcover, which sells questionable warranties for bookings. There are many better options available. Save your time and money, and avoid purchasing from them.

Warning! please please do not use priceline.com, more so if you have children in your group, for details please read on. I was reserving rooms for my family (2Adults 1 11yr old) for 2 different cities. I searched for 2 Adults and 1 Child (11yrs) with breakfast included in the filter through priceline.com. All room options listed mentioned that the room can accommodate upto 3 adults or in some cases 4 adults. I was asked make a room choice and enter payment information. Once I entered the payment information, the booking is now complete, however the booking was done only for 2 adults and they conveniently removed the child in both the bookings. I ended up paying extra EUR per day for my child for entire duration of stay. During the process of selecting room and entering payment information the priceline website does not show any specific details of what is being confirmed. Additionally one out of 2 hotels did not include breakfast, even at the time of room selection it showed breakfast was included. Here is what frustrated me to the core: I called priceline customer support and they said the booking was done through their partner website agoda and asked me to follow up with agoda customer support. After 10 followups with agoda they concluded that the priceline website has a bug and it sent false information to agoda during booking. However priceline customer support refused to look into this issue. I requested both priceline and agoda to include my child in the booking and both refused. Between the extra per day for my child and breakfast for one of the hotels I ended up paying almost as much as I spent for booking. I never encountered this kind of issue with booking.com website. I am never booking through priceline website again and I urge my fellow travelers not to book through priceline website.

I booked a rental car last Monday, March 11th, 2024. It didn't tell me I was booking through Priceline. It booked through some other 3rd party. But it ended up being Priceline. It doesn't state that the license much match the payment credit card and prepaid cards are not acceptable. After you book it, it tells you some of this but it's in fine print that is hard to read. Especially for a 65 year old. So, I get to Budget to pick the car up I paid to rent for a week. Over $200. Well, Budget wouldn't rent the car to me because I listed my son as the driver but paid for the rental with my card. That's the second time Priceline has taken my money without me being able to check in my room that I paid for for a week, over $300, and now this. Everything booked through Priceline --non-refundable, non-refundable. That's a damn shame. If you like one wrong mistake when booking with them you are screwed and cannot change the booking or get your money back. That is a damn shame. That's how they do business. If you make a mistake using Priceline, you can forget it. Not to mention, if you book through them, hotels and car rentals have their own rules and they both make it impossible for you to fulfill your reservation. If you ask me, Priceline is a thief and should be prosecuted. They know what they're doing, and it's a shame. Everything you do through Priceline, non-refundable. SMH. That's $600 Priceline has jacked me for. Never again and neither will my family or friends use this scamming company!!

I have had multiple bad experiences with Priceline. In 2021 they cancelled my booking but would not cancel my flight. So after a million phone calls and 3 months later they finally cancelled the flight and sent me a check. Fast forward to February 2024 I decided to give them a second chance. So that was stupid. I saw a great price on the website and tried to book it. It said my card was declined, tried several different cards. So I called and they said the dates were not available so they found a different hotel, for $80 more than what I saw online because they refused to use my genius discount but still a good price, and booked it with me over the phone. I never received a confirmation email and my bank wasn’t charged. So I called back to confirm that I had the reservation. They said I did but the email they had entered was wrong so they sent it to my actual email address. ALL of the information was wrong. Phone number, email address, address, and card info. And the confirmation email looked fake, nothing like confirmation emails I have seen before. They said it was actually booked through booking, but the confirmation email said Priceline. Called booking just for them to say they can’t find it. Back to Priceline, told them all of the info was wrong and they said “oh so that’s why you weren’t charged! Well we need to escalate this to someone higher to listen to the phone calls and make sure it was our mistake” WHAT!? I booked over the phone, so how would it be my mistake? I just gave the lady all the wrong info? Be so for real! Anyway they said it could take 2-3 days. Meanwhile hotels are selling out and prices are going up! They were really going to let me drive 10.5 hours with 4 kids just to not have a reservation when I get there! No one is helpful, 4 hours on the phone, transferred back and forth 100 times for nothing!! NEVER AGAIN!! Just don’t book with them!

On November 25th, 2024, I booked 3 roundtrip tickets NYC-Dallas-NYC for my relatives. The total price included the 2 baggage fee for both ways, for 2 of the travelers. On the return Dallas-NYC, they were charged the baggage fee again, even though I had paid when I made the booking. When I called the airline, I was told that Priceline didn't pay them for the baggage. I called Priceline and explained the situation and requested a refund. The rep apologized saying their payment to the airline didn't go through and said I will receive a refund. After few days, I called again. Same thing: Apology and promises. Nothing. The last time I called, I was asked to email proof of payment made at the Dallas airport. I did. A supervisor said to expect the refund on my credit card account within the next days. Today, after more than 1 month and not seeing any refund, I called to find out what's going on. I am told that the baggage fee I paid was for one way. I emailed the rep a screenshot showing the fee for both ways. Still, the rep ignored it and told me flat I had been lied and that there will be no refund. DO NOT buy any baggage from Priceline. If you do, you will end up paying again when returning. You are warned!

If they have negative star I would gave them negative stars. I canceled my fly around July 2023, The agents told me so many different thing that they do not gave me credit for that fly cancel, I either have to book the fly with them right away through Alaska or put under credit Alaska airline. Even though, I put direct under priceline, and now I tried to book fly to travel around April and of course its under Alaska Airline. They said my fly only Valid through February 14. They told me I did not look through policy, I told them that they did not tell me the policy when I cancel the Fly back in July. They broke their policy and they question me back that i did not read their policy? basically, I lost $2500 from this crappy company.

Arrived in Tampa airport half hour late, waited for shuttle for offsite car rental (priceless) called at 7:55pm and was on hold for 10 minutes and at 8:05 was told my PREPAID reservation was canceled because we where an hour late. Was next to impossible to get a hold of Priceline, We where left stranded at Tampe Airport to get a car rental at the last minute had to also find a new motel on our owns. Trip ended up costing a lot more than it should have , And pricelins is giving me a hard time with a refund on the Car Rental that was canceled by the Car Rental Company, Nver use Priceline again, Customer Service is so bad!

One week ago I went to check into my hotel as outlined in my reservation. Upon checking in the hotel could not find my reservation. They told me this happens all the time with Priceline and to check another hotel that frequently receives the bookings in error. The other hotel confirmed I was booked there. I was on the phone with Priceline for an hour trying to sort this. They called Travelodge who confirmed they did not have my reservation. Priceline then offered to cancel and refund and we discussed I would book directly at the hotel. After checking in, Priceline called back saying that they found my reservation. But since I was now booked between myself and hotel, they confirmed they would still refund my money. One week later, no refund. So I called and they denied my refund because they said my hotel was never canceled. Never ever ever book through this company!!

I booked an international flight and clicked on insurance when booking like I always do then I go to change one of my flights and says I don't have insurance. Then I book a price breaker hotel and you are supposed to get one of the 3 hotels listed well I didn't they booked me at a 2 star motel that wasn't listed and tells me I booked an express deal when I am very certain I did not. I am gold vip and credit card holder and will be canceling everything and not using this website again. Also there's no way to get ahold of them when you are out of the country besides chat. Nothing more frustrating than having to pay for something you did not purchase or purchase insurance and be told that I did not. Never again Priceline!

I don’t even wish to credit Priceline with even one star. Last year while working in New Jersey, I’m from Oregon, I made hotel reservations through Priceline in Brooklyn NY to visit my child who had moved to Brooklyn. I received my reservation confirmation. 2 days prior to my arrival date I received a cancellation notice, stating my $$ would be returned in 15-30 days. The hotel had a flood. Ok I’ll go with that one. This year same scenario, visit child in Brooklyn, btw child is 28. I make reservations through Priceline, pay for hotel, receive confirmation, made reservations in June. August 14 arrive in a Brooklyn NY. The hotel was closed, called hotel number, was told hotel now a homeless shelter. No notice from hotel , Priceline, no phone call, no email not a peep. I contact customer service for Priceline, I’m not certain who they hire for customer service, nor how they train or teach them or what kind of powers they give their customer service people. They may want to start at listening skills. Completely and totally useless, couldn’t answer my questions about not being notified. The person did no the phrase no refund for 15-30 days. Said they’d contact their manager and get back to me within 30 minutes. Well that never happened. 2 hours later I called Priceline back another useless waste of my time. I will never use Priceline or there parent company ever again, I’m doing as many reviews on every platform I can find. They suck, they suck they suck. Do not use Priceline ever, unless you like getting screwed every time you do.

I'm a frequent international traveler, and car rentals are a regular part of my trips. This gives me ample perspective when I say that my recent experience with Priceline has been incredibly disappointing. After finalizing my booking, I encountered issues and naturally turned to their customer service for help. However, the experience was akin to talking to a pre-recorded message. The representative seemed to be strictly following a script, with no genuine effort to understand or address my concerns. Instead, I was repeatedly directed to their partner companies, feeling like I was being passed around rather than assisted. Thinking a higher-up might offer some clarity, I escalated the matter to a manager. To my dismay, this conversation too felt like a merry-go-round, with the same rehearsed lines making their appearance. I'm left wondering how renowned car rental companies like Hertz, Avis, Budget, and Enterprise have chosen to associate with Priceline. Such a lackluster service not only reflects poorly on Priceline but also on these major companies for aligning with them. While the platform may be tempting for its convenience, I'd advise caution. If responsive and empathetic customer service is important to you, consider exploring other platforms. I truly hope Priceline takes such feedback seriously and works towards refining their customer interactions. Rating: ⭐

I used Priceline to rent a room and I guess I booked it for the wrong date so I called back like a few minutes later and ask to cancel since it was booked for like the next month over and they said they couldn’t cancel my reservation and that I couldn’t get my refund back. SMH there for I will never use them again and will never tell anybody to use them point blank. How u work for ur money and they quick to take it from u but can’t refund it back. I think I work to hard for this people to just take my money like that. Never again so there for please people make sure u pass the word around that they just take ur money if u try to cancel.

PRICELINE SCAMS CANADIANS I am flying in Canada. My address is Canadian. I am paying with a Canadian credit card, and nowhere on the site does it say anything about American prices until you get your credit card statement. If you are a Canadian, reading this before you purchase your flight. Please do the rest of us a favor and DON'T USE PRICELINE. To the Canadian government, this is the kind of stuff we need to be protected against. PRICELINE is a predator hunting Canadians. I should at least be able to block PRICELINE from offering me services. PRICELINE customer service, by the way, is not in America, but anyway, they told me to contact the airline for a refund. Really, PRICELINE. You're bringing the airline in on the scam with you. You took my money, PRICELINE and I will never forget it.

We reserved an Alamo rental car through Priceline for our trip to Colorado Springs and prepaid Priceline $461.76 for the rental. When our flight arrived at the airport, Alamo was completely shut down, even though we were assured there would be a car waiting for us. We waited for an hour for an Uber that cost us $70 to get to our daughter’s house. The next day we went back to airport to get our car. The Alamo representative was apologetic and offered to cover the cost of the Uber and deduct the charge for the first day of the reservation as they failed to provide us the car we reserved. As such, the revised total cost for the reservation was $275.54. We told the Alamo representative that we already paid Priceline $461.76 when we made the reservation two weeks prior and that we should actually be reimbursed the difference. She said that the $461.76 was just a hold by Priceline and that no payment was made. We showed the credit card statement that the charges had been paid, and she said that we still had to pay the $275.54 to Alamo if we wanted the car as Priceline had not paid Alamo any money for the reservation. We called Priceline and were assured that Priceline would credit our account the $461.76 as the actual cost for the reservation was only $275.54 which we ended up having to pay Alamo directly. Priceline told us that it would take 7-10 business days to credit our account. Yesterday, 16 days later, no credit from Priceline had shown up on our account. We called Priceline again and we told that there would be no refund for the rental as they had gotten a response from Alamo regarding the matter. We asked how this was possible as we had already sent them the receipt for the $275.54 we had to pay Alamo directly for the rental. They then tried to say that the reservation was non-refundable. We asked them how Priceline could refuse us a refund for the same rental we had to pay Alamo for directly. Why would anyone reserve through Priceline if they take your money and you get nothing for it? That is fraud; taking money for a product or service, then not providing the product or service! All total, our $275.54 rental has now cost us $737.30. We asked to speak to a Priceline manager as the last representative could not even understand what we were saying or the written record he had in front of him. We were transferred to his manager, Rose, who was totally dumbfounded and said she was having her manager contact me directly. He was to call me directly within ten minutes; that was 14 hours ago. Had we not called Priceline yesterday, 16 days after they were made aware of this situation, they would never have done anything or followed up with Alamo. We have spent HOURS writing emails and making phone calls trying to get Priceline to credit our account the $461.76 they basically stole from us. We will ultimately get our money back, as I will not relent! However, I highly encourage anyone reading this to NEVER USE PRICELINE FOR ANYTHING! What they show online May look like a good deal, but save yourself the high price and headaches you’ll end up getting in the end like we did. Book with Booking.com or Expedia, both of which we have used and never had any problems. This was our first time ever using Priceline, and it will ABSOLUTELY be the last!

HORRIBLE! I booked through them in August 2022. I got COVID and had to cancel my flight. Got a credit. I now want to use it, but every time I try, it takes a call back and then transferring to different operators. The overseas operator tells me she "is not trained" to book using a credit so then they transfer me to a qualified person. This person seems like they know what is going on until they keep you on hold for 20 -25 minutes while they "check the price"...."just another couple minutes....", etc . I ask why? as the flight prices are right on the United Airlines site - "No, those change, so we have to keep checking..." WHAT?? I finally have to ask for a call back when they figure it out. "Sure, 5-10 minutes" Two hours later - no call back. I call in and find out he said the call was "disconnected" and never booked anything. a straight up lie. Even the "supervisor" I asked for was not trained to handle a booking using previous flight credit. It's $1000 credit so I would kind of like to use it - they are making it so tough to use that it seems unlikely that I will get it. It's a shell game of shifting me to different departments and operators only for nothing to get booked. Thinking of Priceline? DON'T DO IT!!

Rented a non-refundable compact car thru Priceline (a third party) and when I got to Fox car rental, there were no compact cars available and had to pay $20/day plus fees/tax extra for an upgrade because Fox car rental policy does not give free upgrades if customer rents thru third parties like Priceline (at least that’s what they told me). Fox car rental policy warns not to rent thru third parties, like Priceline, but rather straight thru the car rental because third parties do not have list of live inventory of cars available and cannot guarantee rental availability, and reserving straight thru Fox car rental will guarantee you a free car upgrade if car is unavailable (something Priceline does not tell you). Unfortunately, when I called Priceline to dispute the upgrade charge, Priceline did not want to take responsibility for their false advertisement. Priceline says they can get you car rental of your choice and for the lowest price but be warned, it is not GUARANTEED and not always for the lowest price.

Priceline ripped me off. When I made my reservation the booking said one room left. I made my reservation and their system jumped back to the beginning. It still said one room left so I made my reservation and had one confirmation number. Three weeks later I saw my bill and they charged me for two rooms. When I called them about the discrepancy they said they would call the hotel to get my money back. I told the woman it was Priceline's fault and she told me there was nothing she could do. They also booked me in a motel that was full of smoke and I changed rooms and still the smoke was every where. It also was not the cleanest and had no internet service for hours.

Will never use Priceline again due to the fiasco of trying to pickup the rental car. NextCar was NOT at the airport and there was no number to call. Finally found out that you had to take the tram to a place where you would get picked up by a shuttle to take you to the rental company. Over 20 people were waiting for the shuttle which only held 10 people so had to wait another 20 minutes for the next shuttle. Then NextCar said we had to have their insurance even though our US policy covers all Canadian provinces. $4.00 per day plus $1000 hold on our credit card. We had reserved an SUV but then they said we don’t insure SUVs so all we have is a Sonata. From landing to picking up the car took 2 hours 40 minutes. Never again! So much for being a VIP member!

Priceline is a complete SCAM!!!!!!! Was in Miami for 2 days and booked a car rental through Priceline. The car rental place said it was mandator in the state of Florida to only use Florida Car Insurance ($150 USD) and on top of that $140 USD "deposit", which they only say is refundable but nowhere in the document does it mention it being refundable. They refused to look at my Canadian Car Insurance. We left and went straight to Enterprise. No issue with my Canadian Travel Car Insurance. They were amazing. This is why Enterprise is such a big and well trusted name. They follow actual regulations and do not make up laws to take your money! I immediately called Priceline thinking they would honor me as a customer. Instead they refused to return my money since the agent said "we need to make a profit too". I did not use my booking! I called Priceline a few times and when asked to talk to the manager, we would immediately get disconnected. Every single time!!!!! First time could be a mistake, but every time... Priceline is a complete SCAMMMMMMM!!!!! Do not use them. They only care about taking your money even if you do not use their service. They do not work with reputable companies. I have never had such a horrible experience with a company like them. I thought by using this platform they would guarantee the overall customer experience. I would never recommend them. Instead make sure you run in the opposite direction. Also, they have removed the ability for you to add your reviews on Google! How obvious is that!!!! SCAMMMMMMMMM!

IF I COULD GIVE THEM A NEGATIVE 5 star review I would. In the beginning of March I booked a trip to Florida and canceled the hotel within a week which was good enough to get a full refund. As of today (5/31) I still have not received it. This was the 10th contact (13th if you count the 3 times they hung up on me) since this saga has started. All paperwork for proof of transaction and charges was submitted AND approved by them multiple times. Then today they said that they cannot link this transaction type to the property (EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS APPROVED BY THEM). I will no longer use a company and that DOES NOT SUPPORT OR CARE about their customers. It is a travesty that this is going on for so long.....

We arrived to Winnipeg airport and were told the rental company was completely out of vehicles, after having reserved more than one month in advance. We were left stranded in an unfamiliar city with no options or recourse. The rental company (Dollar Car Rental) told us that third party booking companies don’t have access to their inventory so there was nothing they could do. There were at least 5 other customers who arrived shortly after us with the same issue and were stuck without a rental as well. When I called Priceline to complain, no apologies were given - only a lame excuse that you (Priceline, a third party company) “don’t have access to inventory”. It’s ridiculous that you go ahead and book reservations and take money from people without actually knowing whether or not your customer will receive the service promised. This is completely unacceptable - if that’s your explanation then you have no business offering services under the guise of a “reservation”. Refund apparently takes 5-10 business days to process (funny how you took my money instantly but somehow it takes an inordinate length of time to refund when you’ve clearly screwed up). So we were out what we already paid and now had to wait until the next day to fork out another lump sum to secure another rental with another company. We ended up booking directly with Enterprise and were happily provided with a free upgrade once they heard about the abysmal service we received from Priceline. I will never book with Priceline again.

I recently booked a trip through Priceline, and unfortunately, it was a complete disaster. I received an email regarding a double booking, and despite canceling one of the reservations, the Priceline itinerary was still showing the canceled reservation. This caused me a great deal of confusion and anxiety, as I was uncertain whether my trip was confirmed or not. I reached out to Priceline customer support, but it took them a very long time to respond. When they did finally get back to me, their response was unsatisfactory and unhelpful. They seemed disinterested in resolving the issue, and I was left feeling frustrated and let down. Overall, my experience with Priceline was extremely disappointing. Their customer service was poor, and the issue with my reservation was not handled in a timely or efficient manner. I would not use Priceline again for future travel bookings and would not recommend their services to others.

I would give Priceline zero stars if possible. We booked a package for 4 and they misrepresented that the hotel fee was not included for one passenger who was under 18. Punted to the Hotel. Hotel punts to Priceline. Credit card company says yes, Priceline misrepresented the package details but they can't overrule them. The hotel recommended that one should not book thru sites like priceline since the price is usually ultimately the same , but to just use them as a search engine, which I obviously now know a few days too late. Priceline is a terrible company. The prices change minute to minute as you book before you pay. You get pressured into buying before the price changes again then they tell you it is your fault because whatever misrepresentation they just sneaked past you in those few seconds is in the contract that it is inhumanly possible to read that fast. DO NOT USE. Have never had this problem with expedia, but next time I will book thru the hotel (which BTW, also has air and hotel bundles).

Do not book a flight with Priceline if you need to get home. I had a flight from Europe to the US cancelled three days before I was due to fly home. I had to work with Priceline, as they were the ticket broker. They could not get the airline to rebook, as there were no seats left at the discount rate that I had purchased 6 weeks earlier and, instead of pushing the airline to rebook me as the airline was solely responsible for the cancellation, Priceline simply cancelled my ticket and refunded less than the original cost - and only 1/3 of what it cost to buy a last minute ticket. Travel insurance wouldn't pay because the airline was required to rebook me but because the ticket was with Priceline I was out of luck. Other people who had bought tickets through different discount brokers had no trouble getting rebooked, and there were no shortage of seats. But Priceline couldn't get me home.

If I could rate them 0 stars I would. THEY REFUSE TO GIVE REFUNDS OR CHANGE BOOKINGS! My advice is if you are booking travel, make sure you go through ANYONE ELSE because this company is a FRAUD and will steal your money! We booked a car and a hotel, paid upfront. Went to pick up our car because the hotel is 6 hours away, they gave away our car with no options for another, and since we had no way of getting to our hotel on time we tried to move the hotel booking. Priceline customer service AND the supervisor did nothing but make excuses for why they were taking our money. They offered NOTHING, no coupons, no refunds, no alternate hotels or days, NOTHING! DO NOT GO THROUGH PRICELINE, THEY ARE THIEVES!

Priceline is the worst! We made reservations for the Kempinski in Cancun back in November and two days before we are to leave on our trip my friend was notified that they overbooked the hotel. I was not notified but I called the Kempinski and they said they did not have our reservation. I called Priceline and they had no idea that our reservation had been cancelled until they reached out to Kempinski. We frantically tried to find an hotel but could not find anything comparable within our budget. Now we have to try and cancel our flights. I’m beyond frustrated and disappointed. Do not use them EVER!!

I booked flight and hotel, one person could not go so they gave me credit for that ticket. I called to change the flight time. When they got back on the phone I decided not to continue with the time change. I was told they didn’t charge me because they had trouble getting my credit card through to charge. Idk. Then looked at my bank statement and yep I was charge for something that I did not receive. Had to go thru the bank to dispute the charge bc I tried many times through Priceline and was told it wasn’t charged, then it will be refunded and nothing happened. So now I go to use my credit on the ticket I did not use and was told bc I disputed the charge they discredited my refund ticket. WTF

Everything went wrong! Priceline advertised pictures of a hotel with BEAUTIFUL hotel rooms for a great price. Once I got to the hotel, it was a nightmare. Room was TERRIBLE. Rusted fixtures, hot water running on tub with hair hanging from the faucet, bubbles on the ceiling, water stains on ceiling and bed. It was terrible. Spoke to hotel manager and he acted as if he didn't understand me. Called PRICELINE and today is 1/25/23, after 4 calls, nothing has been resolved. Their answer to me is "we need to speak to hotel manager" which they said they've tried to do but cannot get a hold of him. NOTHING has been solved. No apologies, refund, nothing! Don't waste your time with Priceline. The worst experience ever!

I never had any problem with my previous bookings untill I faced my first problem when I was out of US. I booked a full-size SUV car and as always I assumed everything would be fine.At the time of pick up the local company shown me a compact Sedan car and they said this is the only one that they have and after I was complaining they said they won't prove any car!!! All my family waiting for the car to reach to our flight and nothing was provided for us. I called Priceline customer service and they just said they can't do anything!!!! This was a BS and poor service that they could provide for a customer. It's a shame for them. I strongly advise to don't book anything from this site specially when you are abroad.

The people at this company are rude and absolutely uninformed. We booked a hotel through this company and picked flexible cancellation. We also made sure that it was dog friendly. We called about a week after the booking because we wanted to add a day. We also wanted to verify if they needed us to bring our dog’s vaccination records. We had someone from Priceline answer who was very difficult to understand. Finally we understood and he said we COULD NOT bring our dog and if we cancelled we would be charged the entire length of our stay!! We were finally able to call the hotel and speak to someone on the premises who verified that we could have our dog. They also verified our flexible cancellation. The website for the hotel clearly stated they were dog friendly! If I could take stars from this company I would! I will NEVER use this site again By the way I have no idea why the amazing rating is there! I certainly didn’t put it there

I made a hotel reservation that clearly showed I had free cancellation up to a specific date. When I received my email confirmation, it showed that the hotel could not be cancelled. I reached out to Priceline, and spoke with two customer service representatives, two supervisors and one online agent. I told them I had picture proof showing that the reservation showed free cancellation up to a certain date. They all said they could not help me, and that they would have to have a manager call me back. No call back was ever received from a manager. Do not book with Priceline!!!!! Their site has false information and their customer service is not helpful in the least. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Priceline a BAIT AND SWITCH Company People, please!!!! Do yourself a favor and book your flight somewhere else. I bought an international flight from Priceline in August of this year for a trip in December, but the flight has been modified 3 times already with an 8-hour layover in some case. Last week, upon checking my reservation to make sure nothing has been changed again, I was astonished to see that my return flight has been cancelled without any notification. I called Priceline to inquire about the cancellation, they told me to call the airline (mind you, the booking was made by Priceline) to find out why happened. When I called the airline, they sent me back to Priceline as they stated that the reservation was not made through their portal. That’s where things started to make sense to me as stating by the previous customers, Priceline is totally fraud. I’ve been calling the customer service for over a week to get my return ticket reinstated but to no avail. At one point, they transferred my call to a so-called supervisor who put me on hold for almost 20 minutes and hung up the phone. I’m at a few days from my departure and Priceline decided that they cannot honor their contract and opted to refund me the cost of the flight. Isn’t a messed-up situation? I’m left stranded and need to purchase a new ticket which has doubled in price for the same destination. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU BOOK YOUR FLIGHT EITHER WITH THE AIRLINE COMPANY OR THROUG A RELIABLE AND REPUTABLE ONLINE BOOKING PLATFORM. STAY FAR AWAY FROM PRICELINE OR GO WITH IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

What a scam! Beware of FALSE advertising in pricing with US dollar vs. Canadian dollar. I'm in Canada, booking a room in Canada. Why would the rate be in US dollars?? I went on an affiliate travel site that finds the cheapest hotel rates. I live in Canada, and needed a room in London, Ontario for the same day. Priceline came up as the lowest rate. Knowing they're a US company I specifically looked through the quote for anything that shows USD, there was NOTHING. Because I had used Priceline in the past (10+yrs ago) the site didn't ask for my email address - it accessed my old profile and I only had to input payment card. AFTER I inputted the Visa details it shows the price listed was in USD instead of Canadian dollars - so basically I'm paying $70 more than the other sites that I could have selected from! I call Priceline within 5mins of booking and they tell me, essentially too bad. They wont cancel the payment, and they wont provide a credit. I have no confirmation in email of the purchase. and now when go to their VIP Member page, there's no past trips information and no cancellation. But my credit card bill still has $300 taken off. I called the hotel same night, they say they can't do anything as the payment was through Priceline. I call Visa, they say they don't have a process for variation in currency. So I'm out $300 for a room I didn't use even though the site did not show the currency was USD. I go to their PricelineVIP member page and the rate shows CANADIAN Dollar when you look for a hotel room!! I want a refund because this was false advertising. Priceline - What are you going to do to make this right?? I want a refund because this was false advertising.

I wish I could leave minus stars. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! They lie and say it’s by the airport, but it’s not. It’s on 82nd & Sandy I literally watched hookers outside the hotel. We didn’t stay, we walked into the room after going down the dark smelly hallway. The room smelled even worse (a chemical smell) I’ve never smelt before but made me completely nauseous and I was worried the smell would stay on me after I left. I complained to the front desk, and they eventually offered a different room but I explained a different room won’t get rid of the smell that in the entire hotel. It was dirty, the front desk people were unprofessional, the manager wasn’t available he was working his second job, & Priceline refused to cancel the room without the manager’s approval even though I book a room with a cancellation policy, not even an hour before us arriving. I will never stay at a Howard Johnson ever again after seeing this one nor will I use Priceline ever again either. I wouldn’t have minded if they wanted to keep the money for one night but I’m not paying for a week in a hotel room that I wasn’t in for a minute.

I wish I could give it a “zero”. Booked two flights with a girlfriend and she had no problems. Upgraded/changed her flight, no problem, forgot to book mine, then booked me on different flights. Were unable/unwilling to change mine to hers so we fly separately. Say they registered my name with the carrier but the airline (whom I had to call because their website says I’m not flying) says they wouldn’t. With this I am completely unable to make any seat requests, and I’m stuck in the middle of Priceline and the airline: stuck. I’ve spent hours on the phone to no avail. I also can’t get notifications from the airline for flight changes on my phone. DO NOT USE PRICELINE.

Easily one of the worst companies I’ve ever had to deal with, my wife is a travel nurse and we have driven from Washington State to New Jersey and booked hotels all along the way. I started out using this company now I’m looking for any other company to get the same price as we are trying to avoid Priceline they are impossible regarding a cancellation, even if a mistake is noticed in just a few minutes. We came across hotels that said nothing about animals and then we’re refused to stay and charged for the hotels later. Each one of the calls trying to get my money back after being refused by the hotel itself anywhere from 20 to 25 minutes and having them hang up on me or getting operators that That would ask a series of repetitive questions and then act like they didn’t know what I was calling for again. You can expect fake ratings on the hotels some we went to were more than subpar, with mold on the walls and wallpaper falling off, once you book this room good luck trying to change it.. I have nothing but negative to say about this company, even as a Goldmember my wife looked up prices and as a non-Goldmember, she was getting a better price than I was😡😡😡😡😡. Avoid all costs there are many more apps that you can get the same price with.

If I could leave zero stars I would. we booked a car rental with Priceline for a car at Midway car rental. we indicated it would be a late pickup of 2100-2200. On the site it said we could pick up until 2359. when we went to pick up in Los Angeles, we quickly found out that Midway was closed and we were stranded in LA at night. when I called Priceline, they said all their “policies” would let them do is cancel my rental. they said I needed to let the rental place know I was late pick up. When I said the hours on the door said it closed at 2000, I was told “sorry nothing we can do”. this company is a joke and I strongly recommend you do not use them for any services. Luckily there was a Budget down the street that had cars or we would have been stuck with no options.

The Priceline website is miss leading! It says one thing and confirms something different. I thought I was booking 2 rooms for 4 people in Canadian dollars. Instead I received 2 rooms for one person per room and was charged in US dollars. I had to pay extra to the hotel to have 2 people in each room and I couldn't cancel my reservation or I would have lost on the USD conversion because it was charged on my Canadian credit card. I spent endless hours emailing and calling both Priceline and Agoda customer service with no solutions. 3 associates said they would call me back and escalate my issue. No callback and they stopped replying to my emails. I used them once and will never use Priceline/Agoda again!!

I have tried to resolve a matter with Priceline, the associate who answered the phone. Her name Elizabeth does not qualify as professional, I had purchased a reservation through their website and parchase a hotel reservation with insurance, that stated the full refund in case of any situation, I got to hotel and I couldn't stay cause the it was completely infested with roaches, I went back to front desk stated the issue and the I want to cancel they told me they cannot cancel or refund me cause it was done through a third party that i have to cancel through Priceline to get my refund and they apologize for the inconvenience, i explained all this to the young lady in the phone Elizabeth she place me in hold few times to reach out to hotel and she couldn't get a respond from them, she told me that she cannot refund back my money that she can do a consolation discount, to the entire conversation she uses the "oh well" statement which is very unprofessional and not showing empathetic feeling at all, I politely ask her if she can't resolve the refund that i don't need to talk no more if she can pass her supervisor, at soon i ask for supervisor she feel treat and I ask her for her operator # and she tell me she cannot provide that for her safety like I am sore type of criminal, and I apologize and emphasized that I am just following protocols and I have call before and associate has provided that information, but the that's ok that obviously she does not follow her compliance or rules and also express I have friend that work with same company and they provide that information, but I was not going to keep talking to her and to please pass me the supervisor she puts me on hold and the comeback that i have to wait 20 or more minutes because they have a high call volume, I did not ask for another representative I have ask for a supervisor , I also ask her for her corporate phone number and she stated that she cannot provide it for safety issue and that she do not have that information , this young lady obviously need to go back to training on how to handle this kind of conversation with customer also she need to re take her compliance practice test that company like this have to take every year. Because of all this waiting I never got a supervisor on the line to resolve the issue, but I will take it to another level and will go through compliance and also all the government entity that Priceline has to respond to. I will submit a letter to all the chiefs to take this handle is ridiculous that things like that happen in a big company like this and their own employees are not properly trained with professionalism or empathy is ridiculous. also, i see everyone is expressing their concern and they have not received a reply from none of this Chief or anyone who doesn't care. People need to start putting their comment is the social media and google directly to get the attention to resolve matters.

Priceline has no accountability once you book through them and to try to get any help is a trying experience!!! I booked a hotel room mind you a not so great one for my husband and his son this weekend for a baseball tournament there weren’t many options but needed somewhere to shower and rest for the weekend needless to say when they arrived they were told the room book a non smoking 2 queen bedroom was given away but they could have a smoking single bed room which blows my mind how on earth do you give away someone’s room after it’s PAID FOR especially at a crappy motel that was over priced to begin with. Then to call Priceline and be told they can’t do anything we have to speak to the motel directly which my husband obviously did but I wanted the money credited ASAP and a Guarantee that it would be refunded but no one could do this so needless to say we may be out $444 for a 2 night stay at a crappy motel 6 ……. Thanks Priceline for ripping hardworking people off!!!!

I booked a Disney hotel on PRICELINE upon clicking confirm purchase the site jumped to SNAPTRAVEL. It confirmed my purchase but NO total or anything. I searched and couldn't find the travel info (or total charged) anywhere - ended up on phone with DISNEY for an hour. They finally found it after transferring me to their wholesale expert. SNAPTRAVEL sent an email that I found in my TRASH..... I was charged $100 in fees without permission. The cost of the hotel ended up being higher than if I just booked thru Disney. There is nothing you can do either..... I have used PRICELINE for years for travel. But will no longer trust them. This is just a way to get more money from everyone and FALSE advertising of the nightly rate.

Inaccurate listing showing a hot tub. Customer service rep denied seeing a clear photo of a hot tub, then told me it wasn’t a hot tub and that they were not responsible for the error since it didn’t list hot tub in the amenities even though the hyperlink to pool area took me to the photo of a hot tub they said didn’t exist in the first place. The hotel hasn’t had one in years! We booked this hotel and paid a premium for it because of this amenity they falsely advertising and their response denying the photo and telling me it wasn’t a hot tub is ridiculous. Wasn’t looking to get the night comped but acknowledging the error and possibly providing some sort of future credit would have been appropriate. The rep was extremely rude and condescending.

I purchased a hotel room through Priceline and the address was not on my initial confirmation so I contacted support. Support informed me that I booked through booking.com and would have to contact them in order to obtain the information. When I make a transaction on a website I expect it to be with the business I went to, not a different site. When I made my purchase there was no notice that they transaction was through booking.com. I would be fine with the "shared inventory" if there was a notice but it is dishonest to lead customers to believe they are using Priceline when they are using a different site.

Booked a trip to Corpus Cristi threw Priceline. Flight and Hotel United was the flight and LaQuinta hotel by the airport. I have a few meeting and had book a three day stay. Meeting were done and decided to leave the hotel a day early and catch a flight back home. I changed threw the United instead of Princeline. I received a “PRINT OUT” from La Quinta with my name confirmation number date/ stay and the refund amount! The hotel said I had to contact Princeline to get my refund put back to my card????????So when I arrived back home I called Princeline. They said after a 30 min hold that they couldn’t get ahold of the front desk?????They said try back another day! I 4 times calling back in. They then said, what was the name of the person at the front desk? Complete madness! I hung up and never will call back. I will NEVER use Priceline again. Complete con once they have your money! Oh and the hotel they recommended was garbage.
