If I could give negative stars I world. They had the worst reaction to Covid-19 trip cancellations! Three months and still no resolution from our trip we had to cancel in March!! We had to cancel our trip to Mexico that was scheduled for March because of the Covid-19 pandemic. We started calling March 12th, today is June 15th and we still don't have it resolved. I have called no less than 20 times. Each time I am placed on hold, they say the contact the hotel but get transferred around and can't get through. They say they will try them again and email us. They say they email the hotel but don't get a response. But a few days pass as we hear nothing from them. When I ask them to escalate the issue, they say they will and that they'll call back but no-one ever does. I have talked to Supervisors and have gotten no where. All we want is to get at least a partial refund or reschedule. This has been the worst experience! I will never book a trip through Priceline again!

I, like many others here, had booked travel through Priceline just priod to the COVID-19 pandemic. Five days after booking, the event I was to attend was cancelled due to the vrus. At the time of the booking, I was aware that it was a non-refundable hotel booking. When I attempted to cantact Priceline, I received a recording saying that due to high volume, they didn't know when I could speak to anyone. So, I then disputed the charge with Capital One, my credit card company. They attempted to resolve with Priceline with no results. I then contacted Priceline again, explained the issue and basically was told "too bad, it's policy". It seems like any reputable company would have made an exception in this, and the other cases mentioned here. I am certain, judging from the other reviews on this site, that Priceline will loose a significant number of customers. This includes me and anyone else I can convince to not EVER use Priceline!

Had a reservation booked through Priceline for 3 nights. Due to the corona virus warnings from the FL governor, decided it was best not to travel. I have been getting the run around between Priceline and the Radisson about if a refund will be granted. Per Priceline they blame the hotel stating that they will not issue an approval for cancellation. However when I contact the hotel directly I am told that this is not the case. Per the Radisson Orlando I booked through Priceline and paid Priceline so they are (were) in complete control of the money. I have been getting the run around from Priceline going on a month now. Now they are stating that they cannot issue a refund because the hotel is currently CLOSED due to COVID-19. Is this not proof enough?? I contacted Priceline once again stating facts on how Theme Parks closed during the time our stay was booked and FL Governor DeSantis had stated that any resident that does not need to travel should not. (Also endorsed by the President and Vice President) I stated to Priceline that if they cannot resolve this issue then I would be taking my business somewhere else in the fouture (AIRBNB, they issued refunds on friends cancellations made due to COVID-19 the same week i booked with Priceline).

On March 18th we booked a hotel for Days Inn. The website glitched and changed the date on us. We immediately tried to contact Priceline. Their whole system was having issues. We were unable to reach anyone via phone, chat, or email. We sent an email requesting support. We went ahead and went to the hotel that was booked and they too tried to contact Priceline but was unable. We went ahead an paid for that night. I have had nothing but trouble trying to get a proper refund. Priceline says the hotel denied the request and they can not reach back out to the hotel. Hotel says they will refund and have been due to COVID-19, and that Priceline is who has to reach out to them. It was a nightmare. I wont use Priceline in the future.

Have always used Expedia for car rentals and hotel reservations and occasionally for flights. However decided to try Priceline. Rented a car in March for May. Due to the COVID 19, the event I was going to was canceled. Southwest refunded my tickets, however Priceline will not refund, credit, change etc my car rental. I called Thrifty Car Rental as they were the car company I chose through Priceline. Priceline advised they are not allowed per Thrifty to refund my money. I called Thrifty and they advised had I of rented the car through them I would be able to receive a refund and that they have no control over Priceline. Called Priceline back. They do have my funds....and state they are not allowed to refund per their contract with Thrifty...... Pretty sure it's Priceline that is not being honest here....while they keep my money.. Never again!!! I woud rate them minus if I could!

I write this post with a sad face. I recently had a horrible experience with Advantage Car Rental, which I paid for through PRICELINE. The rep at Advantage refused to get me my rental car from their Kiosk, there was a note on the rental desk that told me to go there. I took the time to call Advantage and let them know what happened and to report the complaint. Now neither company will take responsibility and get me a refund. Priceline has been unwilling to help with an email address or phone number or have someone call me NOTHING! Please take my situation into consideration, is saving $10 worth this? I recommend not using PRICELINE - go directly to the carrier you are using as Priceline doesn't stand behind their transactions. BEWARE!

I had booked a stay at a hotel in Eureka Springs through priceline. I later realized the hotel I had picked had been changed. Priceline took it upon themselves to chose which hotel to book me at without telling me. I also had to cancel due to Covid-19 and my job issuing a no traveling at this time . So I went to get a refund, but due to Priceline's policy they wont issue one. I understand their policy, but I feel that due to the circumstances out of our control priceline should be willing to make an exception for their loyal customers. They should also be open about any accommodations or changes needed to be made. -SC Oklahoma .... even though I have to put a star I rate this company 0.

Let me first start out by saying I am/was an avid Priceline user. I would spend thousands of dollars using them. They allure of “priceline VIP” pricing and “Mobile Deal” always got me to choose them. DO NOT LET THIS GLAMOUR FOOL YOU. They are crooks. The customer service is absolutely terrible, and recently I just found out that they don’t care about their customers. They are a commission based company that care only about the dollar they can make off you. On March 22nd I booked a room off Priceline for the Marriott Detroit Metro Airport and my card was charged, and my confirmation print out said “paid in full”. When I got to the property the Marriott had not a single clue as to what I as talking about. They did not receive any funds from Priceline. So here I am , with a line as long as one at an amusement park trying to explain that I had paid already , showed my evidence … all to no avail. After about hours of trying to pull together enough money for what turned out to cost less that what Priceline charged me I finally was able to get in to my room. By then it was so late and having missed my conference call I had to reschedule it for the following day thus spending another 1/2 day rate at $75 the following day just so I could work. I missed my flight which wast too bad on pricing right now and had to stay with a friend in the next town over, due to the fact that because of this mess I no longer had the funds to afford anywhere to stay. The inconvenience of it all was what really upset me. Today March 24th I called Priceline and told them the story, they called the property and they basically told me that I had paid for my stay. I paid for my stay with Priceline on one card, and paid for the exact same stay with a separate card because this isn’t the first time that this has happened. This exact same thing happened to me in Feb. 2020. I paid Priceline , they were supposed to pay hotel and never did, got to the hotel and the hotel said there was nothing they could do and that I had to pay them directly. That incident took me exactly 30 days to get my funds back on my PayPal card. Priceline called in an “authorization hold”. I called PayPal and they told me that they sent a “courtesy email to them to drop the hold.” But did not release the hold for 30 days. These are scary times to be completely honest, With this corona-virus taking hold of the world and our economy shattered, it is unfair that companies like Priceline will take advantage of people for a quick buck. It is un American yet sadly in a way , the American way. Something needs to be done, I cannot afford another 30 days to receive my funds back. I have not only wasted my hard earned money during this debacle but my time, my work and my family was affected by this debacle. Priceline or booking.com whichever you go by, Should be ashamed of yourselves. Speaking with multiple hotel chain customer service individuals I feel obliged to give anyone who takes the time to read this review this advice: DO NOT EVER BOOK THROUGH PRICELINE. There is a website called looknofurther.com and (at least Marriott, Westin, Sheraton, etc) will pricematch anything pricelinee ‘promises’. They will not only honor the price but they will even give you what you ordered through Priceline be it a king room, a corner suite, what have you.

Customer service is horrible! Their reservation department makes it so smooth to reserve the room but when it came to me calling customer service to cancel (only an hour after i booked) there was no way of contacting them. I called customer service and selected the option to speak with an agent, i was on hold for 32 minutes and the recording hung up on me! I was livid. I tried again, after 26 minutes the recording hung up on me again! At that point i wanted to try a different route so i did the online chat, well, it’s a robot so they couldn’t do a thing for me and kept saying bye. I ended up calling customer service back and pressing different prompts and it kept routing me to the same line that kept hanging up on me. At that point i called the reservation line and told them what was going on and they said they couldn’t help, i even spoke with their supervisor and they explained that they do not have access to cancel nor have access to what their cancellation policy is. A complete mess i went through. They’re quick and accessible to take your money but horrible at their customer service! This definitely turns me off about ever reserving through them again. Beware

I booked a hotel through Priceline for a stay on Feb. 15-16. They never contacted my hotel to give them a "ghost card number" (whatever that is for), and charged my credit card $92.79 for "incidentals" which at the time, I was told would only be a $50 HOLD and it would be released within 10 days. It has been almost a MONTH and I am STILL fighting to get that charge refunded. And now today when I call again (after having been told BY priceline that they called the hotel and gave them the necessary number, which was a LIE), the Priceline system is down and they can't even connect my call!! I will NEVER use Priceline for a reservation again!

They refused to give me a refund after I called and told them I was being charged 3 times for the same reservation at the Red Roof Inn at Asheville NC. It took them more than 20 minutes to get to a customer service representative when you call their customer service number @ 1-877-477-5807. They put me on hold for most of the time which was a total of 57 minutes of wasted time on the phone with them. They still refused to give me a refund. Jake who was the second person who I spoke to tonight ( Feb 10th, 2020) was condescending and laughed at me while asking me the same questions over and over, treated me like an idiot. This was one of my worst customer service experiences EVER !!! In addition to refusing to give me a refund for today's reservation at the Red Roof Inn in Asheville NC. They also haven't refunded me in the amount of $79 for my reservation at Extended Stay of America in Memphis Tennessee @ Cordova this past Saturday February 8th since Extended stay of America at Cordova was booked and there was no rooms available that night. Priceline stated they would refund me but they still haven't done it. Priceline is very unprofessional, untrustworthy, shady and a total rip off. Beware and stay away from Priceline to save yourself money, time and horrible customer experiences.

Buyer beware!!!!!! google Priceline class action lawsuits, google Priceline reviews of their many victims. They operate on fraud. I have reported them the the State attorneys office, Federal Trade Commission, Department of Agriculture that regulates travel etc. and any state and Federal government office I can get a hold of including news channels. They need to be shut down for fraud. This time they have fallen under senior crime laws. I booked a Hotel room for 3 adults with double beds. They put me in a Hotel that doesn't have double beds and the max occupancy of the room they put me in is two people. I paid for 3. Apparently they make a living of telling now that you have booked and paid you have to work with the hotel to accommodate you in another another room that fits 3 people. That is deception, fraud misrepresentation and you have victimized a senior citizen that is protected under very strict fraud and crime laws.

I bought an express deal on Priceline for two round trip international, business class flights. The price was great. Their deal is that you don’t find out the details until after you agreed to buy it. I really didn’t care what airline I was on and I didn’t care about where the layovers were or for how long. I agreed to the purchase. After that I got the info on the flights. Seems it was only business class one way and economy class the other way. That was not what I had asked for. Now they want to charge me to cancel it. Are used to use Priceline all the time and very happy in the past. I am now seeing all these bad reviews. I guess it’s not the same anymore.

Searched Priceline for a room (4) adults for May 22 stay. We're a special needs family so we try to plan ahead. You can't gamble. Our searched recommended Priceline's "Price Breaker." Here are (3) hotels and you'll get one of the three for "$." There were two options that looked extremely good, but one of them was more "higher end" and we're traveling with kids so we opted for the hotel that we thought fit us more for this travel excursion. My red flag was that one asked if we wanted a single or double bed, however the other did not. It made me a little skeptical but I double checked my search (4) adults, I checked all the information to ensure it was correct, and felt confident in booking. I screen shot everything & saved a pdf of the search to cover me. Sure enough when the hotel booked it stated only good for "up to 2 adults." I didn't think anything about it so I called priceline. Their response: All of our hotel rooms are only guaranteed for 2 adults (double occupancy). Anything above that, the hotel has the discretion to force you to book another room or to up-charge you. I told them "So let me understand this. I searched for a hotel room for 4 adults, but you only offer a guarantee to cover 2 of them." So our choices are now to pay an extra charge with the hotel to get double beds and to cover the kids, or to lose our reservation $ completely. My advice if traveling with more then 2 people, you're gambling with money and your peace of mind. This is the "bait and switch." It's all around poor business. This 100% shows they are not family or group friendly.

I prepaid for a room New Years Eve thru Priceline. I had confirmation with a receipt. I went to check into the hotel and they gave my room away because Priceline (3rd party) credit card payment was declined!!! I was issued a refund but Priceline did not want to compensate me with a free night stay somewhere because the hotel was booked and they only place the hotel could accommodate us was a hospitality suite with NO BED, only a sofa bed for 4 people. We had booked and paid for in advance a room with two beds. 2 people had to sleep on the floor and the sofa bed was aweful! I will never use Priceline again, there deals are no good and they obviously are maxing out or not paying their bills to be declined by the hotel! Crazy!

There is no option to give zero rating otherwise i would have given priceline a zero rating for their substandard customer service . We reserved a hotel room through priceline and within half an hour our , we tried to change the dates and called their customer service through the contact number mentioned in their website , But their automated call agent was so idiotic, it has decided to cancel our reservation without even listening what we were trying to do ,it appeared that the only option they had on that automated service was cancellation, it only listens to the word cancel and ignore any other utterances , and so it cancelled our reservation with 0 zero refund, when called the customer service again , to reinstate our reservation, they have refused to do so and had asked to call the hotel. when we called hotel we were directed back to priceline as the reservation was not done on their website and priceline is responsible for that, which priceline didn't acknowledge and our entire trip went for toss with priceline taking away both our money and reservation and left us with no option but to cancel our entire trip, We lost $300 dollars as part of this cancelled reservation and a heartbreak to the family for not going on trip I would strongly suggest and caution people dealing with priceline, beaware of their blaming tactics and not so good automated agent which can put you in to terrible situation like ours.

We woke up very sick with a cough and cold/flu (symptoms were awful and sudden) and called right away to cancel or change the dates as we had no business going to a hotel sick, making others sick, nor would we have been up to doing anything on the property. It was a super busy holiday weekend so I can guarantee they would have been able to rent that room, I did not even want a refund, I just wanted to move the dates to a date we are well enough to travel and no get everyone around us sick with a cold/flu. The said they could not change the dates but could cancel if the hotel would "allow" it and then claimed the hotel never answered the phone. I called and of course the hotel answered the phone, did a 3 way call and then it got a little more difficult to determine who was worse, the hotel or Priceline, but in any case, I could not reschedule and I could cancel but forfeit the entire booking cost $450. So, I decided to gift the room to a family member and change the name on the reservation to them so the room would not just go to waste or allow them to just book for someone and get double the $. Pretty shady so we will not be using Priceline again and after Spring Break , which we already booked way in advance, we will not be staying at that hotel again.

I booked a car rental yesterday on Kayak through Priceline.com and paid for it with my daughter's credit card as I don't have one. The booking was for a Thrifty Car Rental vehicle. When we went to pick up the car today they explained they can't give us the car due to the credit card being in my daughter's name and the licensed driver being me without a credit card and her without a license. Thrifty when contacted said to contact Priceline for a refund. which I did and have had nothing but a run around from their support people after numerous calls and was last told there is a no refund policy on this booking. All I know is I paid them the money and we were not given the car. Regardless of any way to look at this, this is stealing my money. I didn't get the car today but you get to keep my money?

I have used Priceline’s app before and I have never had an issue. I used for a recent trip I’m taking and they have already charged my card for a hotel I have not even stayed at yet. They are claiming it is prepaid hotel reservation which I was never made aware of when using the app and I only found when I tried to change out my credit card I wanted to use. They told me they couldn’t switch the card because it was a prepaid hotel reservation and they couldn’t do refunds! I don’t want a refund I just wanted to switch my card to pay with and if I cancel it’s also no refundable!! So Priceline is a joke and a scam and I would not and will not ever use them again.

I Reserved the car through Priceline for $65 for two days which are nonrefundable, went to the airport they said they were not able to find the reservation even though I have provided all details, then they made a new reservation for $120. When I called the Priceline, they were asking me to send the receipt from car rental and said it will take 10 days for enquiry and then they will refund the money. Guess what on second day they sent an email that they were unable to refund the amount because the Priceline reservation was active on the day i was about to pick up the car.... this is insane and worst customer service....

I was searching for a car rental, I came across Hotwire and Priceline. Hotwire was cheaper but Priceline had a price guarantee and in the past didn't require payment up front, where Hotwire did. Before booking either of them, I called Priceline customer service (which was very difficult to get beyond the automated system) and spoke with an operator. I just wanted to know how the price guarantee worked. I read to her both prices and all the details. She said I needed to book it with them first then she would check the other web site and issue a credit. She said the itinerary needs to match. I read all of the details to her, dates, location, vehicle pick up and drop off times. I told her I would book it while she was on the line. I booked it and then she said the car agency didn't match. Both sites were blind agencies and did not reveal until you made the purchase. My initial call was just to find out how the price guarantee worked. Once I had it booked it charged my credit card, it was not a charge at pick up like in the past but that was OK as long as they matched the price, they would not. They said it was not a perfect itinerary match because it was different agencies. I tried to talk to a supervisor to either match the price or refund the charge, they would do neither. I understand my responsibility in this, every screen you check must be thoroughly read, but their operator was on the phone, I just wanted information and could not get it until I followed her instructions. PRICELINE is a scam and I will never use their service again or recommend it to anyone.

I booked a hotel room with a free cancellation guarantee as long as I cancelled 5 days prior to check in (Oct 14). I attempted to cancel on Oct 9th and was told I was within the 5 day period and would be charged 1 full night stay because they do not count the day of checkin as one of the 5 days. So actually, you need to cancel at least 6 days out from your arrival day. I called the hotel to see if they could help and they offered me a cheaper rate than priceline ($20 less per night without the Priceline fees which are about $25 per night). So for a 2-night stay, the hotel was cheaper by over $40 ($406 for Priceline vs $360 for hotel direct). Same exact room ammenities with same view. Called priceline again which they said they would not honor their price match guarantee because they only match websites and not the hotels directly! They have a loophole for all their false advertising and I will never use them again.

I am having an awful experience with Priceline's car rentals division. I prepaid for a car rental, made a brief clerical error many weeks later. It canceled my reservation shortly before I needed to use it and refuses to reimburse the $139.19 I prepaid. So effectively the site has stolen that money, since I didn't get any rental car to use for the money. I had to book with Budget and pay significantly more, since rates at the Buffalo airport had risen substantially in the interim due to high demand. I have appealed to the rental cars division and have had no satisfactory response, just refusals to return my $$. If Priceline allows its rental cars subsidiary to operate in this fashion, I can no longer trust Priceline.

Priceline is a good option for booking a hotel at a great deal if you aren't too picky about where you stay. (Although I can usually get a pretty good idea of what hotel it is based on the description). You can trust their ratings, so you know if you choose a 4 star hotel it will be a good place to stay.

Priceline is a terrible company. I inadvertently booked a room for the wrong day (my fault) a week before needing the room. I called Priceline to just change the date (still needing the room) to the following week and they wouldn’t work with me in the least. Terrible terrible company!!! I will never ever use them again. Nothing like paying $145 for something you don’t get when it could have very easily fixed on their behalf. I would give them negative stars because they basically stole money from me. I dislike that Priceline misrepresented a deal. I selected 4 star for the hotel and used express deals where they pick your hotel. I paid hotel ended up being a 3 star hotel located on a sketchy area of the strip. I tried to cancel they refuses. I provided screenshots showing it was a 3 star they still refused. I called and had reps lie stated that a manager would give me a call just to get me off the phone. Use at your own risk.

The worst customer service ever. I book a reservation via the Priceline site with an hotel in NYC. During my check out the hotel ask me for the resort fee that they collect by directly. I noticed their is a different of 80$ between what I should pay and what the hotel charge me (the same issue happened to my colleague). I contacted Priceline, and after almost a month they still “trying” to solve the issue. One of the worst customer service I ever got. Never will use them again.

Booked room at Grand Solmar Lands End recently for 4 days at $4870 thru Priceline.com. We arrived with a small service dog registered with fed.gov. The resort refused to let us in with the service dog. They then refused to give a refund stating non-cancelable contract. When booking thru priceline.com not once did it mention no service dogs not allowed. A regular pet i understand but a service dog??? Then keep all the money??? We are disputing of course and will file litigation if needed.

TREAT THESE SHYSTERS LIKE A RATTLESNAKE! Can I give a no star review? I made reservations last night but had to change them this morning due to a scheduling conflict. After staying on the line for over an hour with one of their condescending supervisors she informed me that Priceline could not refund my hotel reservations or my rental car. Hundreds of dollar out of my pocket and into theirs. What a POS company.

They say you can change your flight up to 24 hours before flying, it's a lie you will forfeit price of your entire ticket. I even bought insurance but you have to be dead to use it. They also switched my flight from morning to midnight and are saying I booked it that way which is untrue I had to get a connecting flight to leave in the morning. DONT DO IT! Book thru airline they will change for a small fee if needed.

I have booked a lot of my travel using different site and I have had nothing but problems with Priceline. The site said that I have 24hrs to cancel but I found out that it was on the flight and not the hotel, I was also quoted me the wring price and that is when I tried to cancel and they would let me. The customer server agent passed me over to er supervisor and he was very unprofessional, at one point said when I asked why they wouldn't refund me he said, it didn't matter what question I have the answer was not going to change...

I book a last minute hotel with them in Council bluffs IA , They advertise guaranteed lowest price and all their price busters advertising, . So I booked it , I was 15 mins from the hotel and I asked the desk clerk what would the price if I just walked in, well the price was cheaper with using Priceline . Priceline’s customer service would not do a thing for me , I spent hours on the phone just to get the run around ,,, DON NOT USE PRICELINE ITS A SCAM

We purchased a Bahamas vacation package. The website instructed me to select travel days and then it automatically selects the destination after you select your departure airport. We came to the Bahamas with the kids to find out after leaving the airport that the resort is in another island. Spent $600 to go to the appropriate island to find us in a motel in a deserted area in Bahamas. Priceline offered to cancel the reservation for us and leave us in the Bahamas without any alternatives.

I booked a Hotel on Priceline. The price they quoted to me said it included all taxes and fees. When I arrived at the hotel, exhausted after driving 10 hours, they wouldn't give me a room without paying an additional $61 in resort fees. I called Priceline from the hotel and they said that they would reimburse me for the $61. They never did, despite me spending several hours of wasted time on the phone with them. I would never use them again. You're better off booking direct with a hotel; they might be more honest and disclose fees.

TERRIBLEEEE!!!! DON’T BOOK WITH PRICELINE!!!!! Save your money instead. I prepaid and booked a hotel and when I get there they didn’t have the room available and gave it to someone else. Like HOW are you going to give a room I paid for to someone else knowing I went out of my way to make reservations and had a long drive just to get their. They didn’t even refund my money back which is even more terrible after I didn’t even get to sleep in a hotel that I paid for. Trust me just book with another website because THEY( Priceline) WILL SCAM AND STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!!!

My wife booked a round trip. Her return ticket had options that were $0 but, the time didn’t suit her. So she chose a later flight that was quoted at $35. Surprised when she looked online and the return flight was charged at almost FOUR TIMES the quoted price. She called customer service and instead of honoring the quoted price the only solution they had for her was to cancel it. Don’t trust Priceline! They will rip you off! 1 star is too much for this review. Should have an option of -1.

The Priceline company did not care about the consumer I rented it not a car for them he color me in a car where it does not conform to the maintenance cars, change me on Yelp I tried the company they did not accept and informed that they they do not cancel mine either reservation. In addition, they sell insurance that is not accepted by the rental company. And I try to contact more than 3 times to try to change to the order company because I’m not fell safe with the company Priceline give to me.

This company is very dishonest. I cancelled a car rental agreement with a Priceline rep, one hour after making res. The Priceline rep informed me and a witness that my card would not be charged and that there was no reservation. Three weeks later, the day that I had planned to use the rental car rental my card was charged for $287.00. I fought the fraudulent charge but Priceline said they had no record of a Priceline rep cancelling the reservation. This is a pure and evil lie. Watch yourself this company is dirty.
