I signed up with them because I thought they were going to help us from the beginning process to the end getting our tax settled. They did not fulfill their end of the agreement as far as I'm concerned. They took thirty three hundred dollars from me and my husband and they didn't complete what they said. They were going to help us to file our taxes send them in and go to bed and try to get them as low as they could and they didn't do that part, they tried to add another three thousand dollars on to of what we paid in order to complete the process but that's not what we understood at the beginning. I did call and file a complaint.

As I oppose to some other similar company by coincidence there're a lot of them on the internet and I end up going with them because they seemed to be comprehensive in their capability. I believe it was on April of 2016 when they started working with my tax issue and it was tentatively resolved on November of 2016 except that it wasn't completely resolved and it finally got it resolved by January of 2018. It took almost 2 years to get it solved and during the process of it I was making payments to the government, I paid about $28,000 dollars on November of 2018 when the IRS was asking for $100,000 dollars and in the following year when I finally got it resolved I paid to the government a $100,000 dollars. I would not recommend them to anyone do to what happened. When I sent them an email it took them two, three or four days to send me an email or called me back, they were not very responsive in retrospect. I got no tax relief from their service, I end up paying the full tax bill plus interest expenses. I wish I've gone with another service.

I had a fairly significant amount I owed to the IRS and I was hoping to get that reduced. They were generally fairly responsive and ultimately things were ok. They advertise that they have large reductions for taxes available but that's not really true. The whole tax relief field is basically just fraud and their advertisings are misleading. I paid money for nothing.

They said they could stop my taxing and resolve my tax debt, so I went with it. When I initially talked with them I was assigned a tax agent. That fell through and they never contacted me about it so, in turn, I ended up with some problems as a result of their miscommunication. In the end they got the job done but not like they said they would.

Very little comunification of what is going on. Never had any written results of any comunifcation from them to the IRS. I just recived a bill from the IRS and thought I was told I was uncollectable. Very expensive. Did not go the way I wanted. I wanted more of a smaller payout and a mounthly installment. Many other things.

Fear of the IRS is what made me sign up with Tax Defense. The people were very hospitable and good, but the process wasn't really clearly defined for me. It just seemed like a big waste of money compared to just going directly with the IRS. It did not even reduce my payment whatsoever. I could've taken care of it all myself and get it done more quickly. I feel like I was just misinformed about it or didn't make enough research before making the decision.

They were advertising somewhere and we wanted to try them. We made a mistake in signing up with them though. They started off really nice but the people handling our case did not follow through on things. They were always unavailable and it was just hard to get in touch with them. In fact, they were supposed to call us the other day but they haven't done that yet. They also weren't truthful, in fact we had to hire another attorney to get them to move along. Right now we are going through a bunch of paperwork that we signed and realizing that they misled us on a whole bunch of items. We were paying them to help us but in the end we just paid them to do basically nothing and cause us trouble. In the end it all cost me over twenty thousand dollars. I could've done pretty much the same thing that they did by calling the IRS or paying the federal taxes myself. It was just a very unpleasant situation. I've talked to other people that ended up quitting halfway through with them. I would tell everyone to not even start with them.

I was very desperate at the time and they gave me a good start off point. They put up a good face at the beginning. I felt good bout it. When we got down to the nitty gritty, asking all the questions and everything, we weren't even told what was going on. They didn't even explain anything and when they did they didn't even try to simplify the explanation for us. When I had questions they didn't really follow through with me. My biggest mistake with them was paying them the $7600 and something dollars upfront. After they got all my money nobody returned my calls and got nothing back to me. In fact they haven't gotten back to me or shown me any results. I'm pissed about it and not satisfied at all. They said they were going to help us getting all the fees down and everything, I even went and gave them information, but things are still just a mess. We thought we'd be done with things in June or July, but now we had to go and hire somebody else to do the same crap they should've done. Right now I'm praying so that this doesn't happen to anybody else. I'm telling everybody that if they get some work done that they don't pay upfront because that means they won't be reliable.

I had some audits done on my 2013 tax and I wanted to work on it to bring the penalty down, that's why I signed up for tax defense. They promised they would reduce the penalty, which was some $1600, but that didn't happen. I did not get the tax relief that I hoped for and I had to pay the same amount. On top of that I had to pay Tax Defense around $1000 to do whatever they were going to do, but I didn't get any relief at all. I regret making this decision, I shouldn't have done it. I could have taken it straight to the IRS and pay what I needed to pay, I didn't need this third party getting involved who just took $1000 from me.
