If I can give this company 0 this will be a lot,because this company made a several holes at my roof wield they was installing panels, so for the last two months my roof is leaking and no one wants to take responsibility, I have nothing but run a round. Customer service people very arrogant and Ruth, a lot of managers and no n one them helpful, they are very sweet when they come to your house the sell those panels but when you have a problems no one to be found. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I have had my panels for a year. I regret the day I signed that contract. My panels have not worked properly from day 1. I call customer support and I am told the same thing every time, "we are working on it" However, no one ever calls, nothing is ever done. After 1 year of this, the review tells me the panels have under-performed! Well, there's something I already knew! Heading into year 2 with the same result!

My parents leased this equipment and passed away recently. Being the executor of the estate I was under no obligation to continue paying on the lease but chose to keep SunPower in good standing. I had a buyer who wanted to purchase the home but was denied credit approval through SunPower to take over the lease. Now my home is up for sale again and the person interested in buying is now looking. Thank you, SunPower you really helped a lot of people here. I would not recommend this company to anyone. BEWARE, BUYERS!!!!

Since the solar panels were installed, they have not worked properly. Since May, Sunpower has been diligent is correcting the problems. I expect this Saturday they will finally have everything operational.

Terrible service. We have had over 30% of our power down for 6 months. They have been difficult to get support and they have sent out 3 different teams, a full day for each visit, and it is still not working. It is costing us thousands as we are now double paying them and the power company and all they have done is offer a $100 gift card. Now they say new equipment is being delivered while the last team told us new equipment was installed.

Could be better

Diminishing production efficiency is "paid for/made whole" in amounts far less than the value lost. This is likely a known reduction factor. The amount paid should equal the value lost.

worst customer service, they are nice over the phone, but they do nothing to help. it took them 3 months just to activate the solar panel which should have been done in less than 6 weeks as they promised. LADWP installed the meter one month ago and they are still wondering if they should come over and turn on the solar panels. despite all the email and phone calls, this company is the worst. they simply dn't care.

I received an email from Solar tops on 11/8 saying there was a problem with my system. I responded immediately by speaking to a rep while standing outside by my system. It was determined that a service had to visit. One did visit and pulled an inverter. It is now almost 4 weeks and still no new inverter. Today will be the 4th scheduled visit (other 3 were cancelled by Solar Topps for a variety of reasons). I hope that we will finally be up and running. In the meantime, we have not generated electricity; What can you do about this loss of revenue?

If I can give them 0 stars I would. I will be in contact with my attorney. They are a fraud company so STAY FAR AWAY from them. I’ve been calling my sales guy, the customer service number. Absolutely no one is helping. They promised a 500$ sign up bonus. Yeah never got it. I was told I would only pay a fixed rate and no PS&G bill. I keep getting electricity bills from them along with sun power as well. No one is helping to solve this issue. So now instead of one fixed rate I pay that along with my PS&G electricity bill. Again DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY.

We entered into a lease with Sunpower. We now know that it was a huge mistake. We are paying Sunpower $190 a month. (rounded off). This year we an end of year had a bill from Edison of $1100... We have a 1200 sq. foot house . I am going to have my attorney look into a way to break this lease so I can go with another company that does indeed lower my costs . This is not it . Calling them has been a total waste of time.

When I check the Sunpower reports on how much electricity my PV system is generating, it never matches up with the readings on my inverters. Neither of those matches up with the HECO billing report. Nobody seems able to explain the discrepancies.

HORRIBLE- you end up paying double. ABSOLUTELY NO energy produced and NO reimbursement when the system fails. Technical support is frm a 3rd party that don't fix the problem. Customer service is ONLY LIP SERVICE from a 3rd world country giving you a turn around time of 1 week when they really don't know when technicians will actually be there 2 fix your faulty generator. To those who are considering this company, dont risk the headaches. For those like me who is living the nightmare hire a good contract lawyer.

I start using Sun power 7/10/15, since that time I'm living in hill. I'm paying to PSE&G every month the same amount like i was paying before installing the system. I raise the problem with the customer service of Sunpower Co. (Mr. Charlie G., Customer Service Supervisor) I supply him with all data he asked requested by him. He never gave me direct answer. His response is not correct. MY QUESTION IS: WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY PSE&G EVERY MONTH SAME AMOUNT WHICH I PAID BEFORE USING THE SOLER. IN THE SAME TIME I'M PAYING MONTHLY INSTALLMENT TO THE SOLER COMP. (SUNPOWER) FOR USING THERE SYSTEM?

SunPower does not cover the roof The roof warranty is guaranteed by the installation company in New Jersey, not SunPower. If the contractor goes out of business, then you have no warranty on the install of your panels. If the roof starts to leak get your ladder out !!!!!!! I was a Sunpower Rep that told lies for this company about their warranty.

I'm sorry to hear you experienced an issue with your solar installation completed by a dealer authorized to sell SunPower products. In this instance, SunPower is the manufacturer and our products come with an industry leading 25-Year Limited Product and Power Warranty. Our warranty only extends to the PV Modules and Components manufactured by SunPower.

That said, SunPower cannot assume responsibility for workmanship related issues by third party companies who install our product. Although this is not the response you were hoping for, I would recommend that you file a claim with the installers insurer. Companies carry insurance just for this reason and they would be the appropriate party to address your concerns.

I received a quote after a few back and forth From a nice guy call Braxton turn out he was fired before a meeting The Co-founder came to the appointment instead gave me a different quote,we decided to wait a couple of week To start the job in the meantim. Alex the co-founder was to find out about a couple of questions I had about the difference in the quote,which I never received an answer. I call today to proceed with the job anyway Alex picked up the phone and said they cannot Do the job because is not convenient for them.

Spectacularly poor service. We've had panels on our roof for months. They're completely unable to be activated. All I've received from SunPower so far are broken promises and updates that never come. When I get calls back, they've done no prep, have no updates, and seem to be completely clueless about how solar is activated. It's pretty nuts. I feel like you'd really have to try hard to be this unhelpful. I would never recommend working with them.

One of my inverters has been out for over 3 weeks and the company has failed to repair. When we reach out to them, we are put on hold and calls are never answered. We have had nothing but issues with them since the day we assumed the lease from the previous home owner. The service company for the units blames SunPower, as we have called them on several occasions to see if they can resolve the issues. I would not recommend this company for your solar needs.

Absolute worse decision I made was going with this company. I was led to believe that they would monitor things. When my system had been down for a bit, I called and asked about the monitoring and was told it was a "shared responsibility". Meaning, if the customer doesn't watch this everyday and the system goes down, the customer gets screwed. Customer service is terrible - absolutely no accountability and the communication is not much better.

They sold me a 58 panel system that was to generate more than 30,000kw per year to offset prior years usage by 100%. After 11 month of service the system has produced 19,595kw. Further, prior to initiating the contract I advised SUNPOWER that I have a steel roof and if walked on it would distort the stamped steel shingle. They assured my family they had experience with this type of roof and it would be OK. My roof is completely destroyed and they have admitted to that fact. They now are stalling to fix same. I suggest you consider other sources for your solar panel needs.

Leased a system from these liars almost two years ago. Claimed maintenance (i.e. cleaning panels that get dirty and are inefficient) was part of deal. After much run around and supervisors in meetings and "I don't knows," the bottom line is: DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. STOP. Unless you want to be disappointed, frustrated and not get your money's worth, you'll run if they contact you. How can I mke this any clearer? For the next 18 years, I am stuck with a bunch of crooks!
