Great solar panels, great value! Endicott, NY

Definitely the best solar panels on the market. When I am making a large investment for solar panels, I want to make sure they have the best warranty, and are the most efficient. SunPower definitely hits the mark with the product and the warranty.

SunPower's local installer in the San Bernardino/Riverside area was fantastic. The customer service pre-installation was great, their installers were very good and even the follow-up has been excellent. Not to mention, the SunPower panels are some of the best, if not the best, in the industry.

In some form or another I have had solar with Sun Power panels for the last 15+ years. Both purchase and lease. So far I have never been disappointed. The panels hold there efficiency very well. My first system I kept track of for close to 14 years, before I moved and the output was still 95%+. The lease I have now fits my lifestyle very well.

Solar Farmers

The SunPower app does not work properly since installation approx 4 months ago. We constantly receive error messages about Wifi connection; slow data transmission; etc. We are unable to see true stats for ourself so every month we have to wait for our electricity bill to confirm the system is truly working. We like to see our own stats in real time, which is what we were told we'd be able to do. When we call the SunPower customer service number we're referred to our installer. The installer has come out to check our unit multiple times, they contacted SunPower about the issue but are uncertain when the app will function properly. This app situation with no solution in sight is not ideal and we feel like we have been taken advantage of. We were told we'd be able to monitor our unit, but we cannot.

Easy to work with in the planning stages. Great coordination with the City for Permit Inspections. Smooth, clean installation. The only delay was PG&E's acceptance and connection which SunPower had no control over. Plus, all is working well and meeting my needs.

Believe we got superior Solar panels from SunPower that looks good, performs outstanding, and awesome monitoring app. The only "ding" is the high cost of panels, but I figured I'm in this for the long term and felt we will reap higher reward when it gets to 15, 20, 25 years old.

Escrow for my house that I’m selling is being held hostage by this company simply because they want the loan paid off instead of transferring the loan over to the new buyers. If you want solar and you need financing from this company, good luck selling your house. It’s been 22 days and they are still running the credit check for the buyers which is rubbish! Customer care will pretty much tell you to go kick rocks instead of let me see how we can help.

I would not recommend going with Sunpower or Sun run and there is a couple other names that they run under. They took three months to put up solar panels when they said it would take two days. I had to miss a lot of days of work because I had to be home for them And all the damages they’ve done to the roof and the gutters. I tried to repair them and they will not come out here and repair anything. Please think about the companies you’re going with Sunpower is definitely not the one you want and if you did, I’m so sorry. Good luck .

I honestly think I got shafted leasing the solar panels. It has doubled my electric bill. Just think, during the day, I go to work and do not turn anything on. Panels generate me a bill/invoice and I got no benefit. Then I come home in the late afternoon and turn on computer to do reports, lights as needed and lo and behold, the sun goes down and I pay Edison. I am double billed. Then on top of that, here it is on a sunny weekend day, I have no A/C on, no pool motor and the meter arrow shows it is going to the right and that means I am still paying Edison even though I have 21 panels on my roof! How in God's green earth! Are these panels supposed to generate 100 watts, I am billed for 100 watts for each panel but they only generate 15 watts or something? I am on my 3rd inverter. I believe as none of the equipment installed seems to be decent operating material. Please check account #100025868493. General piece of trash scheme that I fell for.

I am extremely disappointed with Sunpower’s service and handling of the issues related to the installation of solar panels on my tile roof. Nearly 18 months ago, Sunpower installed the system on my house, and since then, it has been nothing but a nightmare. The installation was poorly executed, resulting in significant leaks into my roof. This has caused extensive damage to my property, and despite numerous attempts to get Sunpower to address these issues, they have consistently failed to provide a satisfactory resolution. Right after installation, I have made countless calls and sent numerous emails, only to be met with delays, excuses, and a general lack of urgency. Sunpower’s customer service has been negligent at best, displaying a complete disregard for the severity of the situation and the impact it has had on my home and family. Their technicians have come out multiple times, but the problem persists, suggesting either a lack of competence or a lack of concern for their customers. The leaks have not only damaged the roof but also caused internal damage to my house, leading to additional repair costs and stress. It is unacceptable for a company of Sunpower’s stature to handle such serious issues with such negligence. I trusted Sunpower to provide a reliable and professional service, but they have failed miserably. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere and avoid the prolonged headache and financial burden that I have experienced. In summary, Sunpower has demonstrated a complete lack of accountability and professionalism. Their inability to resolve the issues caused by their poor installation has been both frustrating and costly. I hope this review serves as a warning to others and prompts Sunpower to take their customers’ concerns more seriously in the future.

I have been working with SunPower for 200 days, and I am still not connected to the power grid. Despite numerous attempts to get answers from corporate, no one is responding to me. I was informed that my installation was passed down to their "trusted" installer after the company laid off all their crew. This is beyond disappointing. It's the middle of summer, and my panels are installed, but instead of harvesting energy during the peak season, I am left fighting to get someone to acknowledge my request and complete my installation. Emails and calls lead nowhere, leaving me with no choice but to contact SunPower through all social media channels and review sites. They promised to cut my $500 electrical bill to $200, and I hope they honor this commitment and reimburse me for my costs. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I would not recommend SunPower to anyone based on my ordeal.

The service for repairs is really bad, Mico inverters are breaking down often and for a replacement you have to wait 3 months or more. This time they made an appointment between 8 and 10 and around 11 I had to call them with the question when are you? Around 12:30 I got the message appointment cancelled we are coming the next day between 8 and 10 just before 10 I got the call appointment cancelled we are coming next week, let's see if they are showing up not much hope in the service company out of Orlando Florida.

The overall function of the (very expensive) solar panels and batteries is acceptable. However, the app to monitor the system and its functionality is beyond lame! Whenever I try to log in to see the production, the app either won't load up the data or accept my credentials requiring me to reset the password. And customer service assistance is practically useless since they always have a pre-recording stating that the app is experiencing delays in displaying the data and that are working as fast as possible to resolve the issue. Clearly, the resolution is not working considering that this review is based on at least the past 12 months of attempts. I feel like the app needs to be scrapped and redesigned by someone able to create a working app.

Since the installation, it's been really clearly performing well for me in terms of output generated and what I'm actually getting. So that's been very, very satisfactory. I think the installation process itself went very well and the only caveat was cleanup could have been better.

Customer service and communication before and during our install was horrible. We never heard or saw our sales person again, even after multiple calls and messages. It's all about the money, just like all the other companies out there selling solar. It took forever for our install to happen and we kept getting lied to about the permits etc. The first try at putting our structure up was unapproved by the county and told to take down and rebuild as it was all incorrect. We still have a long trench that wasn't filled in correctly and has now sunken into our yard. Dirt was promised to be tapped down so this wouldn't happen. There was also a huge misunderstanding about the tax "rebate". It isn't a rebate, it is a tax credit, which means we have to come up with the cash to put on our loan so our payments don't go up. For all the money we have invested in our system, the customer service was not matching. Our system seems to be doing the job but we overbuilt our system and thank goodness for that because if we wouldn't have and gone by what was recommended, I'm sure we would still have a PG&E bill monthly.

I had an electrical wire that had hung down too low and the local installer was not able to install the panels, but they got right on the process to get the local utility company to come in and fix the line. Then they came back as promised on the scheduled date and installed it. It was great.

Installation was rough. It required multiple visits the first day and it required multiple scheduling attempts, mostly because the dispatch team would not call and would only text for some weird reason to try to schedule the installation. The technology is awesome, the equipment is great, and it produces power, so it does everything it needs to do, but their project management team and scheduling team is not to the same level as their sales team.

1 day install. I can track my generation on the app. It's been one year since install and my power bills have reduced by over half. I have a 2k sq ft home with a large pool. Low true up bill, if you know how to work the power bill system.

There were issues and my installation was rescheduled several times and When I called regarding the scheduled date I was told it was not scheduled and I would be waiting two more week. This was unacceptable after already being rescheduled three times and only finding out there were delays when I called a few days to confirm the installation. Second issue my system has been in for 6 months and has never produced the rated kw rating at best is only produced 82% of what I was told it would produce

The installation process was delayed quite a long time and that was probably the worst part of it. They left pipes and tubings on top of the roof, material on the floor and wires or extra clips and wires hangers left on the roof. I have about 4 panels that Sunpower installed and it's rare they get sun because of the position they put them on the roof where they could have probably been placed in another location. So I have let's say 4 panels that are bringing I'd say 15% or 20% capacity compared to the other ones.

Installation went very smoothly with no problems and it was done Efficiently and fast. They answered all my questions when I called and they provided great timeline tha they met.

Anytime I've had a problem or a question they've responded immediately. As far as putting in the panels and the laborers that did it and everything else, it was outstanding. The issue that I had was with my HOA and with the office in the time it took to get the project done.

Overall, positive rating. Only issue was not measuring the grid voltage before design and installation. We are 208VAC and a 240VAC system was initially installed. SunPower corrected the issue by sourcing and installing new micro-inverters rated for 208V

They arrived with a crew of at least seven, maybe more, around 8:30 and they were finished by 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon. They were extremely professional, courteous. The place was left spotless when they got finished.
