Project took longer than expected after panels were installed. Seemed to be some mix ups in putting in new electric box. However i was impressed with the quality of the new box and the entire system. Staff were always 100% professional. Enjoying the app on a daily basis.

SunPower was terrific. Staff worked quickly, helped me reach the right decision about system size with no pressure, and was EXTREMELY helpful with some difficulty PG&E gave us (offering to not charge us until PG&E upgraded our neighborhood transformer). I love the monitoring site.

They were very professional, explained things clearly and as many times as you needed it explained. Their reps responded very quickly. I am not good at reading my emails so any delays were due to me. When I didn’t respond to their emails, they always followed up with a telephone call. I am very satisfied with their service so far.

In 2010 but we had SunPower installed and were very happy with the system. August 2018 we had a failure of the inverter which was replaced in September but it was not compatible with the new inverter. After monitoring the system for several weeks, we noted the system was not operating at the correct watts. It was producing less than half of the power. I contacted Alternative Energy and they came to the same conclusion. I have side by side comparisons of monthly statements from Duke Energy of six consecutive months which proves our point. Alternate Energy checked out the panels and came to the conclusion that the panels have several faults in them. They (Alternate Energy) informed us that Sun Power was not willing to live up to the warranty that was presented to me at the sale which states a 10 year limited warranty.

I have had my SunPower system for 8 years and have been totally satisfied. I have never had a problem with the system operating correctly. The only issue has been with the reporting system but each and every time there has been an issue SunPower has corrected the situation. I would highly recommend SunPower when considering a solar system.

They installed it with no problems and their customer service has been excellent. They answer all my questions in a timely manner and I am happy with my purchase.

This is my 3rd year working with Sun Power, last year I was shock when PGE pool over $800.00 from my account as a result of not enough power that I had requested originally they suggested 40 panels I requested more so it was added 5 more that should be more then enough will delivery 2500 KW. I replied I don't want to get a bill from PGE I was assure no bill will come, 1 cottage in my property is not in use yet . I just cant imagine , so I contacted Sun Power their suggestion add more panels or buy another system ? if had known this purchase is the way to go, do to the prices on energy cost . I inquiry about battery same company and they don't offer batteries backed. But they are in training to offer it soon. System works fine just did not delivery as promise . PANELS AMERICAN MADE ? I was told they are made in china it had sing on the panels. So I hope the ones been installed now are AMERICAN MADE.

This is my second property that SunPower installed the solar system. No hidden thing, I am happy with the system production although I still have to pay a few $$ for electricity to PG & E. SunPower also provided a rebate refund $1000 for being a Triple A member. SunPower's contracted installer also applied the $2421 San Francisco City reward. I received both rebate funds.

I install a 17 panel, 5.86 kW (DC), 5.13 kW (AC), system. We decided to go for SunPower because their system needs less panel, but produce more power than other vendors' systems. Last Aug/Sept, we have no guilt to turn on the AC 24/7 daily. I used to pay $300ish for my power bill. I am going to break even in 5 years.

It was great.. They paid ME about $1000 to install it [4 years ago,lease] -it produces 97% of our total household energy needs [inc hvac, hot water, stove, cars, etc] and saves us about $250/mo. No equipment failures after 4 years -it just silently does its job. Biggest no-brainer of my life.

Our 1st year anniversary just passed, very, please. The power calculations, and performance of the panels, provided 100% of our usage from August 2016 to July of 2017. Actually, we overproduced by 300 Kwh. (Which I don't recommend, having a system larger than usage, not cost-effective.) Installation went as planned, very professional. No Leaks, Northern Cal had a very wet 16/17 winter. We lost internet service for 1 day and was contacted by SunPower since they could not see the power generated. 25 year warranty Parts & Labor.

I purchased my system, as it seemed to be the cheapest and most advantageous. I have 33 panels with an 11.8kwP potential output and based on the shade that comes from trees near me we get 10 with peak sun. Service has been excellent from installation to followup service with the monitoring platform. Best product we could find on the market, coupled with good service from installation to problem solving. Would recommend to anyone who needs or wants solar.

Have had the system install and producing since March of 2012. I have kept month by month records since I have lived in the house. Central California is hot in the summer and my average monthly bill prior to the installation was $393 (that was over a 5 year period). After the installation the average cost per month was $110 a month.

I have a 22 panel system which provided 180% of our electrical needs last billing cycle. We got a $117 credit from SCE! Installation was done last July with some minor hiccups by a Sunpower crew. The install is one of the best I have seen. We monitor it daily and have had zero issues since going live. I would certainly recommend to all my friends.

My installation was done in September 2016 and have averaged an electric bill of $13 per month from my electric company. I am saving an average of $75/month. My salesman was excellent and he patiently explained what would happen and the timeline. The system works flawlessly and I cant wait to see what will happen in the summer with the central air and pool filter on.

For overall customer satisfaction, SunPower is the best company. The warranty is the best by far and the dealer network in northern CA are the best. They are committed to excellent installation work and follow up. Solar is an asset for your home. Pick the best quality panels. I installed SunPower and have a 5.5 yr. pay back.

Systems achieves all that they promised and more. The first year my bill was $ -171. The company that installed the system was Baker Electric and did a quick, excellent job. I did an upfront lease on a 28 panel system. Online monitoring of system is excellent!

The installation was as scheduled, professional, and cleared by local planning office with the comment that , "They do nice work." We have had few problems, but the minor difficulties with the monitor app was addressed quickly. To date we are pleased with the purchase, installation, service, and performance.

I have had very good experiences with Sun Power. They made an appointment to come see me to do a site survey. I messed up and didn't answer the door. So the poor guy had to come back. He was very nice about it. Didn't lay a guilt trip one me. Their panels have a very good efficiency rating. A plane using their panels is currently flying around the world.

I had sunpower do a complete estimate on what it would cost to install solar at my home. The best part is that it was during the peak of Covid, they were able to do everything virtually, they even looked up the details of my house in terms of square footage and roof compatibility with their program. Their presentation was very in depth, and I liked that I only had one point of contact through the whole process

We inherited a Sun Power lease when we bought our house. Had not done any cost research so don't know if they are fair priced or not - but assume they are decent since previous owner was very diligent in cost & efficiency. They system is 6 years old and we had our first issue - just stopped producing. Noticed that my electric bills were way higher than previous year - checked and saw I was getting no solar credit. Called Sun Power and took them about a week to send someone out to check the system. Then took a month to get the parts to make the repair. This is May 2022 - everyone dealing with supply chain issues. Once it was fixed (took a day to do the work), it has been producing at full speed. Within a week of completion of the work I received a refund (in the form of loaded credit card) with the amount they assumed I had paid electric company that would have been generated. I believe their estimate to be accurate, if not a little over. I would have preferred a refund check - and could have EVENTUALLY gotten paid that way - but this was faster so I took it. Not like it won't be used. The inspector and the technicians that did the work were friendly, helpful and professional.

This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.just got off the phone with a manager and the manager hung up on me because I hurt his feelings.avoid this company and read your contract very carefully and do not believe what they say. It would be in your best interest to turn this company away.

If you want a company that answers your calls or emails, don't work with these guys. Takes 3 weeks to get a response for simple questions. They told me at the beginning of the process that it would take 90 days to install our system and get it turned on. 6 months later it is still not functional and they won't answer my calls.

I had a permitting issue that came up during install and sunpower denied my plans, my rep Jared L took it upon himself to resolves said permit issues and sunpower installed solar( so in theory those issues had to be resolved in order to move forward) come almost a year later I am getting letters from the city saying permits were never approved. my rep also scammed me out of $1000 visa rebate card. sunpower just tries to outlast customer complaints untill you get tired of getting nowhere. Never trust Jard L or any sunpower rep! Crooks! Liars! Dishonest!

SunPower Installed panels on my home late 2016...overall, I have been pleased, but repeated failed Inverters have become a big problem, as I cannot get them serviced from any local SunPower dealer, or the Company themselves. I ve had an Issue going on since August 2023, and resolution is nowhere in sight. Repeated promises for looking into my Issue &a phone callfrom both Boss Energy in Charleston SC, and Sunpower themselves go Unanswered! the telephone only seems to work one way. I would NOT recommend SunPower to anyone, as the service after the sale is apparently non existent

I would not recommend Sunpower, we live in an HOA and they did not read the form and provided incomplete information, and no follow up or advisement on the progress. We had to inform Sunpower that the local utility had approved the work. We have decided to go in a different direction. If they can not provide a complete HOA Permit Form with backup documentation then going forward will repeat this trend. Although there are good reviews below, this review is our experience.

My solar system is installed and approved by city inspector and utility company. Sunpower has FAILED to activate my system. The delay now is one month. Sunpower provides no explanation, no estimate of when the system will be activated. TERRIBLE customer service. The delay is costing me each day with the utility company: I am being charged when my solar system is not turned on. DO NOT use Sunpower
