Purchase, Lease, PPA, and Loan Options Available

There are three different payment options for customers to choose from to help them save on their electric bill: solar lease or PPA, purchasing with cash, and financing with a loan. All loans are issued by Technology Credit Union or Mosaic.

With the lease or PPA option, SunPower Capital owns the system and the customer effectively rents the system via monthly payments. The lease and PPA both offer $0 down options, come with an energy performance guarantee (PeGu) for the duration of their agreement, as well as easy options in case the customer needs to transfer the lease/PPA.

There are also cash purchase and loan options for customers who may qualify for the federal solar income tax credit and other incentives that can supplement the benefits of solar power ownership.* Qualification for the federal solar tax credit is not required in order to obtain a loan. Loan terms for SunPower solar systems typically range from 5 to 25 years and do not have any prepayment penalties attached.

Industry-Leading Solar Panel Energy Production

SunPower offers the industry’s leading efficient panel within their M-Series (440W panel) of up to 22.8 percent efficiency. Aesthetics Options

SunPower offers front-contact and back contact solar panels. Solar Monitoring with Panel Level Data

Monitoring of system status and performance is extremely important for customers who want to see how much energy the panels on their roof are producing —currently, as well as historically — and ensure that everything is operating as it should.

SunPower provides the helpful, convenient mySunPower app for customers to do just that. The app provides important system information such as power output, estimated savings, energy production over time, and the environmental impact of the energy generated by the system. Systems equipped with microinverters can view the performance of the solar system at the individual panel level with accessible panel level data, allowing homeowners to understand how system performance is impacted by weather, shading or panel angle. All of this system information is easily viewed on a smartphone.

After talking to two other solar companies I contacted SunPower based on the high reviews. I gentleman named Breon J came to our house for a survey and quote. He was much more knowledgeable and did a much better presentation. He explained the equipment, benefits, and RUI in great detail. He also helped us fill out the information details needed to be prepared for submission and acceptance. If you are interested in obtaining information about solar, equipment, installation and tax exemptions I would highly recommend you contact him. His quote was much less than the other two that we had received from competitors, and we felt the our decision to proceed was the a good choice. I will update this review following the upfront engineering, installation and results related to lowering our monthly electrical cost.

Sun Power was very professional. Their customer service has been really good. The installation was completed in one day, and then they helped walk me through getting set up with the power company to sell my excess energy back to the grid. Overall, it’s been a really good decision. I’ve built up a $305 credit. This is the first summer I’ve had the panels, so I’m not sure if I’ll continue to get credits through our 100+ degree weather in Texas, but I’m hoping I’ll at least break even. For the past couple of years, my electric bill has been over $600 a month during June, July and August. The only critique I have is that it wasn’t explained to be that I would get a tax credit instead of a tax refund. I was expecting to get a check for the entire amount and put it towards my loan, but it was a tax credit, which can be passed on from year to year, so it will cover my taxes for the next few years. Overall, it’s been a really good experience.

We have had a great experience so far! It took a while to get everything going, but I know that's just the process. The entire team at Sea Bright Solar in Redlands was excellent to work with and answered all of our questions kindly and patiently. I love that we are making energy and not really using much up daily, even during the hotter days of summer! That's very encouraging for the future. We look forward to learning more about SunPower and how it will work for us throughout the calendar year. We've only had the system up and running for less than a month so no official bill yet to see what our savings is. It did take about 4 months to get everything completed, but it was still before the heat of summer, so that's great!

As first time solar customers we knew going in that our savings per month would be significant. What we were less sure about was the performance of the app to control the system (battery and solar). So far we have been pleased with the overall performance. The service has gone offline a couple of times, but seems to come back automatically (it appears there is an "aliveness" check every morning with an automated reset if there is a problem). We've lost power a couple of times when the battery failed to switch over. Hopefully that is working better now, we'll soon find out because we're heading into power loss season. Overall we can recommend them but we are still learning and adapting to our new solar ways.

I had a permitting issue that came up during install and sunpower denied my plans, my rep Jared L took it upon himself to resolves said permit issues and sunpower installed solar( so in theory those issues had to be resolved in order to move forward) come almost a year later I am getting letters from the city saying permits were never approved. my rep also scammed me out of $1000 visa rebate card. sunpower just tries to outlast customer complaints untill you get tired of getting nowhere. Never trust Jard L or any sunpower rep! Crooks! Liars! Dishonest!

Everybody was so responsive and the installation crew was great. The whole experience was wonderful. It took them a a day and a half to install. They were very organized and kept everything clean and neat the way that they were able to come through the roof. We don't have any like pipes or anything showing on the exterior of the house. It was a great experience.

The people that I dealt with were very personable and and knew their stuff. The app that they gave me seems to be working real well, so it's good. The company called me up, set up a date. The gentleman, four or five guys showed up, installed the solar panels. They started in the morning. They installed the solar panels and stopped around 2:00 o'clock and the electrician stopped a little after 5:00 with everything finished.

We always got Immediate response to our calls. Even if we called on a weekend day, we got responses right away. It went exactly as promised. The only the only unhappiness we had was how long it took the county to do its inspection then for our power provider excel to Install the and start the appropriate meter. It's producing power practically at it's rated maximum and we haven't had any problems with it in almost a year.

I am able to check on my phone, the app is great. It's easy to read, and user friendly. It's great. There was something kinda crooked and I called and they came out that day and fixed it right away. I had my system installed a year ago. Everything went as planned and inspections passed with no issues. For years I paid around $240.00 per month. Ever since the system went live, a few bills have not exceeded $60.00 due to cloudy and rainy weeks. However, the majority of the year was no electric bill at all. Several months I received credit towards my next month's bill due to excess electricity going back to the grid. I'm very satisfied with my system and happy with the Sunpower system and product.

We have panels from both Sunpower and Tesla. Tesla has zero customer service and their billing tells me nothing. Sunpower's billing gives info one would expect and I can go on the app to see how much each panel is producing. I can see the panels production over the day, month, year & lifetime. They came back several times to adjust things that we never would have known about. On installation, they broke into our stucco as not to see the conduit and it was repaired beautifully. We're very pleased with them. Not pleased with Tesla, but we are stuck with them.

The installation of my system went smoothly and, so far, my system seems to be living up to my expectations. My system seems to be supplying the power to run my household, plus my local driving. I have a plug-in hybrid. I didn't answer some of the questions in this survey, because I really didn't have experience to be able to answer. And the real answer to "What is the likelihood you would recommend SunPower to a friend? " is quite low because, my system has been on-line for a year and a half and no one has asked me about it.

Easy to work with, no surprises, system works great. They listened as we described what we needed. They handled the permits. Once the hardware was available, installation was quick. There was a delay for one part, but they were good about installing it once it arrived. We’ve had no issues with the system or the app. Our monthly utility bill is only gas now. Our first true-up for the electricity was a $500 credit!

We've had no problems. When I talked to the representatives they answered my questions very quickly. We are going to get the 30% tax credit, so that's definitely a plus. The system was not the cheapest, not the most expensive was kind of in the middle. They came out and set up the entire system in little over a day. The inspector was out within four or five days after that, and it was up and running probably a little over a week after it was installed. System's working great. Every time I've called and talked to Jessica, she's the one that helped us get the system installed, and sets back to me. Either I talked to her right away, or she gets back to me very quickly.

SunPower Installed panels on my home late 2016...overall, I have been pleased, but repeated failed Inverters have become a big problem, as I cannot get them serviced from any local SunPower dealer, or the Company themselves. I ve had an Issue going on since August 2023, and resolution is nowhere in sight. Repeated promises for looking into my Issue &a phone callfrom both Boss Energy in Charleston SC, and Sunpower themselves go Unanswered! the telephone only seems to work one way. I would NOT recommend SunPower to anyone, as the service after the sale is apparently non existent

I've had my system for about 2 months and it hasn't saved me any money. I've been using more power from the grid than my panels, which is disheartening because I got the panels to save money. The rep from the company also promised I would receive a $500 check and a electric heater, after install. I had to reach out to the rep several time to inquire when I would receive the heater and the check. I finally received the heater last week, but I haven't received the check. After about the 5th time of me inquiring about the check, he stated he had no control over when it would be mailed out. Even though I am not in dire need for money, it is the principle. If someone, be it a business or person tell you you will receive something, you would expect it. Of course, not saving on my bill and the company not making good on a promise has caused me to be concerned about the decision I have made, getting panels.

It was difficult. Install was probably the most difficult part. Part of it was not on Sun Power but on local communities trying to get things approved. But I think part of it was not understanding the landscape when the team was going to arrive and when equipment was going to arrive and where I was going to be staged and and so forth. So there was a little bit of lack of collaboration and if I had not had some foresight that could have been a major mess, but we were able to work through that part. The installation itself, once it got going, was done probably in record time compared to other homes that I had heard from him. The guy that the main lead that installed. However, once the install was done, it took forever. Matter of fact, just recently did I actually have things working. So I guess what I'm saying in a nutshell is that last fall when we set all this up, it was determined that I would probably be getting installed sometime March, April and rolling along there and and literally it was just July before things actually got turned on.

There has not been any follow up since it was installed and we had a hookup problem that I had to call them to come fix. Once I instigate communication, then they're on it, but they do not follow up outside of that, no training, no nothing. We were missing a part so solar was not working until that part came, or the app was not working until that part came, and then we had to do some adjustments after that.

Overall great. I'd give it a 4.5 stars. Initial install was great and fast. No problems. Added 6 more panels this year and the system was down for a lot longer than I thought. At least Sunpower made a payment for the initial system because it was so long (about 7 weeks, I expected more like 3-4). Had to come out multiple times to change equipment out.

Jeff C. was just very knowledgeable and he pursued the job like a professional. I was impressed and working with them went smooth. When the electrician came out, they reviewed the meter and all that stuff. Told me a couple of things that had to be changed. They were real professional.

We love our panels and the electric we receive/produce. The quality of these panels is great. The drawback was we had a lot of questions, and after installation was complete, we saw or heard from no one. We tried to get a Tesla battery wall, but our salesman said they did not have or recommend. Then I see ads for Tesla Walls. We really have no idea of the functionality of the app, nor the solar power itself, and I tried to ask the electrician, but he spoke no English and I speak no Spanish. Our power bill went from over $500-$600 to $37.50, the charge Duke Energy charges. I would highly recommend SunPower and always do, just push for the power wall.

I did have some issues with the modem inside the system and every time I called they knew what they were doing and they resolved the issue promptly. They were very organized. Install took about a day and everything was well done, professionally done. It was a high quality installation. It works well. I produce more than what I was expecting. The equipment is really of high quality.

We haven't had any problems with it. Our bill has gone down tremendously, so we're very happy with the results. It's starting to get really sunny again and so this summer should be good with the solar. I don't believe it's faulty, I think everything's running perfectly. It went very quickly and effectively and thoroughly, and the people that came to install it were really nice. We just had a very great experience with the whole thing. The customer support that sun power provides is great.

The rep that came out, he explained everything and told me what was going, what would and be involved. Install went excellent. They were in and out, just like they said in a couple of days. I haven't had any problems with it and it's been a little over a year now. All the reps were excellent. They answered all my questions. It's definitely worth the money.

They did everything they said they were gonna do and came every time they said they were going to come. The project was completed with no problems. I was here while they did the work. I watched what they did and I saw no problems. They were very professional and they knew their job. I would recommend it to to anybody. I'm very happy with them. I haven't had any trouble with it. Last year the system performed very well; it produced 80% of my electricity needs. I like the little Tesla app where I can watch the production of electricity during the day and what I'm using.

The installation process did hit a few bumps in the road, but they did get everything taken care of through the city and everything was squared away. 5 Its based on the latest and greatest new upgraded solar panels providing more wattage than the old panels, little thinner and more streamlined.
