I keep losing the guide. When bad weather comes I lose everything. The monthly bill is expensive. Direct TV is trying to have me connect to the internet. I don't need that. HBO had, at one time, had new movies once a month . No more. Other than that, everything is fine.

DirecTV is a cable provider I will never use again. They have a decent channel line-up but the satellite goes out with bad weather. You pay a monthly fee for each receiver you have and you return them upon cancellation/contract ending. Customer service is horrible, when my contract ended the company took money out of my account to pay for the receivers that I had only sent back a week prior. My suggestions to EVERYONE considering switching to DirecTV is to pay by check. Do NOT and I repeat DO NOT let them have your debit/credit card info. If it's possible go with another provider.

Great satellite service, great collection of HD channels. But the only problem is the price the prices are so redicilous. Just for having a basic channel line up it is still very expensive.

Quality of programming consistently going down. The primary reason we still have DTV is for the sake of my elderly mother. She has dementia and unfortunately only understands how to use DTV. So things like HULU, Netflix is out of the question. Company product is not worth the money with all of the live stream options available. NFL ticket is not necessary anymore and they are still charging like its a rare commodity.

not as good as dish, who was not as good as Xfinity which we still have since 2006. When we moved the debited our bank account for $800 for equipment because they never sent us the return boxes. It was quite a pain to get rid of that and then ATT equifaxed me for it when they bought DirecTV and it took me over a year to get it off my report and it cost me 17 points.

Direct tv has been notorius for changing the prices on the channel packages without notifying you. One month it may be the regular rate next month they added a hundred to your bill. Heck they even change your package plan without asking and pick your channels for you. If you get an americian on the phone well your in luck but if not dont dare ask for a supervisor. They wont let you talk to one.

Expensive after year one. Better options for the money available. Rates for me went up extremely high after my first year of service. When they debuted back in the 90's they were the best in the business. Now, with so many options, its not as price competitive to other companies.

I have had Direct TV on and off for years. They have their ups and downs. I like the guide. I don't like that On Demand and Movies require Internet as I only use my hot spot. I guess that is my issue. The picture is clear and for the most part I hardly ever lose service.

I was a customer for 17 years customer service was always very difficult to interact with. Getting any kind of technical help was next to impossible. Every time I tried to switch services to a different provider they always said you are under contract. Even though I never signed a new contract and only upgraded my equipment one time in 17 years. Would not recommend. Also continued to raise prices while providing less programing.

A very expensive service! 3 TVs with service cost almost $300 a month. The same 4 commercials play, sometimes two times in a row. Their customer service is good if you can get state side assistance. Directv is always willing to upgrade equipment or offer small discounts.

What I like best are the channel options and choices. What I like least is the cost. They have a great product, but they make you pay for it after the introductory offer. You can keep calling to get additional discounts but it is a pain. I also do not like to reception in bad weather and a dish on my property.

Satellite is not pretty but good function. Random program cancellation that are set on auto record. Will not record during unannounced programing updates. Lots of pixtulations on pictures. Sound is lost at times. Too many adds at bottom of screen during program which interferes with picture and the closed caption words. Lied about being able to move and just transfer service, had to sign up for a new contract for 2 years and was charged for installing dish.

DirecTV is not what it used to be. The value has diminished over the years and we opted to cut the cord for steaming services and an HD antenna for local channels. We get all of the same content for far less. Even paying for several streaming services, we pay about $30/mo. instead of $85/mo. with DirecTV. Same shows whenever we want for far less money. Cut the cord.

DirecTV has a good selection of channels. They're transmission is reliable except during snowstorms. The bad is their prices. They'll snag you with a great deal for a 2-year contract then, even before a year is through, they jack the monthly rate extremely high.

Dealing with Direct Tv was straightforward and professional. When AT&T took over the company I knew I was in for problems, because their billing has always been messed up. And, it was. From the start it was one price, and the next month a different price. Constantly changing and you couldn't get a straight answer from them. That's when I left them completely. You cannot operate on a budget using them.

Directv is great when it comes to some of their packages. I prefer them over cable companies. However, when it comes to the service, it can get spotty. There are times the tv will just glitch out for no reason. This happens on all 4 of our boxes. The TVs never do it when using streaming services or anything else. They have told us to replace the boxes with newer ones...that would put us in another 2 year contract. And that’s a bit shady for a company that huge.

I had no service for a month before they sent someone to check out the system. I was very sad they had become a not so good satellite tv provider.

I had this service about 5 years. Every now and again I'd get frustrated with the raise in price, so I'd call in and get a short-term discount. But when that discount ran out, my bill went up higher than it was before. I tried cutting out programs, but they require certain programming in order to have DVR (at the time, a few years ago).

At first, the service was great, but when my 2 years contract were over, they did not do a follow up to keep me as their customer, and, the price jumped very high. Therefore, I called the loyalty program asking to adjust my bill because it was very high. They did decrease it a bit, but at the same time, they took away many channels from my original programming. The fact of the matter is that they did a horrible follow up work. Any new customer who commit for 2 years is given a better treatment, but once they got the customer, the good service stops. I am ready to switch out and maybe use Dish Network.
