Most customers wear the help button (neck or wrist) all the time, and then when they leave the house they will take the mobile device with them. Put it in their pocket, purse, clip to their pants in the mobile case. You need to be within 600 feet of the mobile device to send a signal from your help button. The only time you would need to have both devices with you, is when you leave the house. Otherwise you can leave the mobile device on the cradle charger while you are at home. However, if you would prefer, you can always just wear the mobile device, but you will need to remember to take it off and charge it, unlike the help button that has a battery life of 5+ years.
