I liked that I didn't have to be close to my land phone to use the service. I've just had it for 2-3 weeks and thank goodness I haven't had to use it. I keep the base in my pocket since I don't wear the pendant or the bracelet. I guess it's a disadvantage that I have to carry it with me when go around the store doing my errands, but I can use it to speak with them. In the beginning I misunderstood and thought that I could use the bracelet and pendant as a phone sort of thing, but they explained it all to me and were very informative.

I haven't used it for emergency or anything like that but I carry it with me wherever I go. It doesn't matter if I go out of town, take care of things with my doctor, etc. They have been very helpful and tell us what is going on. They helped us with the set up of the equipment and everything has been good until now.

I just basically wear the wristwatch all day, I don't even notice it's there. The only thing is that you gotta retrain yourself when you leave the house so that you take the charger with you. I've left the house a couple of times without it.

I tried a different service and wasn't satisfied with it, so I just went and switched to Medical Alert. So far it has been good. I haven't had to use it, but I've tested in the house and also when I was away from home. The GPS worked fine and I had no problem. I like the size of the bracelet and I wear it more than the one that goes around the neck. It just seems more convenient.

I purchased the service for my elderly parent. My parent is still in the initial stages of getting familiar with the device and has accidentally activated it twice. Once while they were away and the other while they were at home, in both cases Medical Guardian was alerted and called. The staff was excellent, answered immediately, and were very understanding. The relative they are supposed calle also received some follow up within a couple of minutes to keep them up to date.

We got it because it was what my mother in law needed, something that would be helpful if she fell and that was good to use everywhere. She hasn't had to use it, except to test it and notify them it works. She had a couple of minor falls and accidental pushes, but other than that nothing has happened. The call she gets after pressing the button is almost instantaneous, in a minute or two she gets a call and things get straightened out.

I tried to go with other services but they wouldn't work in my area. I've only used it for testing and when I accidentally bumped it this morning. I had some trouble talking with the lady then and she put me on hold. I heard nothing until another guy started talking all of a sudden and he couldn't get me. In the end everything started working just fine. They are generally very quick but sometimes they take 3-4 minutes to respond. The service is a little pricey too. Overall it has been a good experience.

My mother is the one who uses it in case she falls and she wears it all day. We've only had it for a month or so, but the device and service are excellent. It serves our needs and, in case something happens, she can press the little button and she'd be talking to somebody to help her. Thank God we haven't had anything go wrong.

I got it for my mother since she needs it. On an occasion we received a text alert saying that the battery of the bracelet she wears was low. It turned out, she hadn't plugged it in all the way to charge, and the situation was fixed fairly quickly. Receiving that made me feel real safe and secure. The only thing is that the necklace is a little bit bulky for my mother, but otherwise it's a good set.

Customer service is great, they go out there to call and check on us. The device itself is good, I like that it has GPS even though I'd rather wear it as a wristwatch. The support of the necklace seems fragile because it is made out of plastic. I bought the insurance because I thought it would break easily. The service is a bit on the expensive side, especially after comparing it to my neighbor's who only pays 29.99 a month.

My package quickly and I didn't have to wait a long time to start using it. Both the wristband and pendant devices are very useful for me. I can use the pendant around my house or put it in the car when I use it to make sure I always have it. The wristband is useful in the shower. Both are very lightweight and nice. Customer service has been good, and the lady helping was helpful and then some.

This system is used with a cell phone and signal is interrupted at times not sure if this can have an affect on service. They have been helpful when contacted. Always nice and pleasant. Good that they send even though they can't talk with person. One concern is Cannot hear throughout the house so not sure how this will affect in an emergency situation

. I have the Medical Guardian Premium model and service (numera/Libris model 10-1112). It has proven unsatisfactory in audio performance. Even with hearing aids on, in many conditions, I cannot understand, or cannot hear at all the audio from the inadequate piezo speaker. The alert button is too easily triggered by outside pressure, such as the edge of a restaurant table. . As has often happened, I triggered mine in this way accidentally recently. It is usually easy to cancel an accidental activation. However, in this case I could not hear the warning message, so the alarm, of which I remained unaware, produced a 911 event. I did hear a few beep tones, which I could not associate with the Medical Guardian. I left the location unaware of the alarm. First responders were dispatched, but found no sign of me. My family was notified... Inadequately. The Medical Guardian operator they talked to refused to give them complete information on the GPS location of the alarm or any other information. That is Outrageous Underperformance! The Medical Guardian button was still with me, but the operator seemed to have no way of re-establishing contact. Therefore, my current location could not be determined, leaving the family in a panic. . On the many occasions when I have conducted tests, the response was acceptably quick and provided correct location data, giving me confidence that it would perform in an emergency. (On only one occasion did the operator give me a grossly invalid GPS location, which she then checked and corrected.) . . . However, the system has not served me well enough, due to its inadequate hardware and service. Serious improvements are needed in the hardware and in the delivery of personal information to those whom I have identified as authorized to receive it. A provision for secondary contact, initiated by the operator, is needed to locate users who have moved from the place of the initial activation. The service agreement will have to include personal permission to activate such a secondary locating service. . I am very disappointed in my Medical Guardian. Unless these matters are addressed expeditiously, I will have to find a better provider.

I think the alert system is great except the gentleman that I bought it for continually says the wristband falls off, and he doesn't like the necklace around his neck. Also, he forgets to carry the speaker piece with him when he leaves his apt. Needless to say, I will be canceling his service. I think the wristband and necklace should have the speaker piece attached to it in some way, because some seniors will forget to carry the speaker on them, particularly if they suffer from Dimentia or Alzheimer's. So it's really not working for him because the pieces are home somewhere more than they are with him.

We have it had a standby for safety purposes. All of the people We've spoken to have been very helpful, even though We've only used it to test it. I think it would be a lot better if they could transfer her to me when she's talking to their representatives. That would be an advancement, because that way when she pushes the button, the people at the base can have her to talk to her children that moment.

They serve the purpose of instant contact. It happens to me even accidentally. But, I wish it was not so heavy on my neck, especially in hot weather. I keep it on my bed at night charging, so if I need help it is still close to me. It is a night light for me as well.

Usually, I sleep with the device on, and take it with me when I go outside. The only thing that I don't like is that you got to carry that little power pack thing if you're outside. My father wars the device on his wrist, and that seems to be easy, because he wears it a lot. It's comfortable for him. He has not used it for any emergency circumstances yet, but he has gone through 2 months of checking it and making sure that it is working properly, and it seems to be working just fine. Fortunately, I haven't used it for an emergency, but I did set it off accidentally once. They called me, but I didn't hear them, so they immediately called my family. I live with a family member in California, and they also called him. At that point, the paramedics were already on the way, so I had to cancel that. It wasn't a real emergency, but I know that they'll be Johnny on the spot if something happens to me.
