I have only had this for a few months so too soon to evaluate overall. I will say that I find the connections on the charging device to be rather flimsy. I also have been unable to use the watch or pendant.

Randomly goes into learning mode, and needs to be re paired. Several calls for help have been made without touching any equipment. Standing directly at the main box, you have to yell for it to hear you, and end call for help. After a fall, I learned we were over promised, and told our unit had fall detection, which it does not. It is an additional piece of equipment and monthly charge. We are canceling service for another.

I would really like to give Medical Guardian a five star rating but I have found it to be unreliable. In the morning (7 am) it says it is 100% charged; but sometime during the day it completely discharges. What if I were to need help at 3 pm? Guess I would just be out of luck getting any assistance. Needless to say, I plan to call Medical Guardian with my complaint.

Contacted Medical Guardian because we needed a new alert system. I was very clear with the agent concerning our needs for a certain type of wristband. He assured me they had exactly what we wanted so placed the order and when it arrived it was not as promised and we had to return it, never even took the unit itself out of the box. They refunded everything but shipping as is their policy but very disappointing ad we never would have ordered it had the agent not flat out lied to make a sell.

After falling for the hype and because I am prone to losing my balance, I purchased a necklace. The battery which brags that it holds a charge for up to 5 days, ran down after two days. I charged it again (overnight each time) and it stopped with no warning (no flash, no chirp) after another 2 days. Customer service told me I was too far from a Verizon tower for clear reception. I live right in the middle of one of the largest cities in the nation, so I doubt the veracity of that excuse. Best advice I can give: pass this by and get another device.

We purchased this program 2-5-21 , we were buying the freedom guardian watch. After all was paid( in advance for first year) we were told the watch was not available till the end of Feb, no watch.. then told end of matchbox watch, then told end of April. No watch… on and on , now told end of July. Your company needs to get its act together, if it’s available as advertised send it ,if it’s not available be honest and tell us what’s going on instead of the Texas two step…. The program is for my wife’s 85 yr old mother.

I purchased this item for my mother in law with the intent to keep her safe. Please don’t believe what they’re selling. They charged my account $226.68 my refund amount was $150.67. The device was never open nor activate and returned within 10 days as the policy states. This company is a scam don’t believe anything your told. It’s really sad when elderly people are taken advantage of especially during a pandemic when money is very limited for our seniors citizens. Never never never let someone sale you anything over the phone. Bad Business……Pia Nelson

This company is a sham. I purchased service and had to cancel. I was told if I returned product I would receive a prorated refund. I paid for shipping and was told two months later when I contacted them about refund three different stories and finally when I complained they told me they would not send out a refund. I was very unhappy about the way they answered emergency call during gthe time I had the service. Do not believe all the hype when you read their reviews.

I'm only giving a 1 star for customer service when we activate the device. We pay for two pendants, one is the fall protection that does not require activation of the button. In 12 months my mother has fallen three times, broken her hip and the device never activated either time. It has been replaced since her hip fracture and today she fell on her face and again the device did not activate. Not sure where to go from here, but I am not at rest with this company's devise at all!! Very disappointed, very sad to know she would have lost her life if we were not present.

disappointed the prorate is NOT from date of death. Also discouraged there is not away to cancel the subscription on line even when an account is set up. Now we are at the mercy of the delivery system to return the equipment. The remedy is prorate from date of death after equipment is received.

Great service when Dad was alive, BUT THEY LOVE TO CHARGE DEAD PEOPLE!!!! Dad passed away 12/31/19 and his account was paid in full and equipment paid for in March 2020. In October 2020, Medical Guardian charged charged me for the month of October and tried to bill me for two more months since then. This is after sending my third signed "Cease and Desist" letter to them, which they have finally acknowledged receiving. Now I have to wait a couple more weeks before I have to call back and request a refund for the payment they charged me without my permission.

First of all, I have no complaints about the service at all. I used them several times and they were always right there for me. My complaint is that I've been trying to cancel my account for months, I changed the autopay feature to OFF but they still charged my account. I left multiple emails and have never received a call or an email response. After debiting my account I explained in one email that I expected my account to be canceled and that they took my rent money which I had to borrow to avoid penalties.

Would give a lower star if I could. Beware if you are paying for this service for your loved one. My father passed nearly 2 months ago, unfortunately, the device is over 1000 miles away, and due to COVID retrieving it is not practical at the time. After speaking to several people I am basically being told that I will have to pay $350 dollars for a lost device and there are no exceptions even under the circumstances. They don't seem to care that I am not even the subscriber I just took overpayments when my father declined. Please beware!!! I would not recommend this service.
