My husband has fallen a couple of times. I'm very hard of hearing, and I did not hear him. We didn't quite understand, when we first bought it, that the equipment was not the equipment that we wanted. We wanted one that would go off when he fell, and that's not what we first got. Anytime we had any questions, though, they've been very courteous, and very prompt to answer our calls. I think it's very affordable, and he just puts it on and leaves it on except for when he's taking a shower, and then he just hangs it outside the tub.

Thank you for the review. Just so you are aware, all of our neck pendants and wrist buttons are highly water resistant and rated for shower use. Feel free to reach back out if you have any additional questions!

I had compared the prices and availability. I needed a GPS because I'm active and my daughter insisted that I get one. I wish it were smaller and lighter; it shows under my clothes. I never had to use it, but they've responded twice when I was at work and I would lean against a desk and hit the button. They called me to be sure I was okay, so they're on the ball.

I researched a lot before going with them. I've had to use it 3 times already and they've saved my life every time. Communicating with them by using it has worked better than what I expected, everything is set up really well. They've always been there for me and answered any questions I've had. They've even called me a couple of times just to check on me. I actually didn't expect that at all.

I did some research. I took a look at the complaints, the service, the overall rating, the cost, and what services they provide. If someone needed it, I would recommend it, because I bought one for my mother and one for an Aunt. I thought that the sales person I dealt with was very helpful. I felt that they were more interested in the services they were going to provide than in how much money they could make. If they could sell a particular unit, and you didn't need it, they did not sell that to you. They said, "really, you don't need that service, you need this smaller service which is less money." So I think they were customer-oriented. On customer service, they were always friendly, they always answered, they were always understanding if people made a mistake. My mom accidentally pushed the button, and they were always there to make sure that that she was satisfied, and that she wasn't having an episode. I do think that sometimes it's not as easy to use as I would hope, though. The wrist band that my mom wears does not have a microphone built into it, and as such, she can't talk to anybody if she falls down. All she could do is push the button, and have people come and do a response. The old one that I used to have for her had a microphone so that they could talk to her when she pushed the button, and I felt that was a better option.

I was in an automobile accident and the day after I got home, I felt really awful. I told my sister I felt I had to go to the hospital, and we used it to call the ambulance. They were very, very fast, they got here quickly got me to the hospital, they're very nice. It worked. I recommend it, but one thing I didn't like was that a man called me and he was just talking about an upgrade, and he just said "I'm going to send you that now." I said "Is there an additional cost?" and he said "yes" and I said "I'm sorry, I don't want that." I didn't like his presumption or the way he phrased it. I thought it was kind of underhanded. I just don't think they handled that well.

We have had to use it a couple of times when my father fell down. It hasn't ever failed. The response is very quick; they were there right away, and everything turned out good. They were extremely professional, fast and thorough, they explained everything, called me on the phone, and they took care of everything quickly. I researched it online before deciding on it, and everything is very good.

My mom wears her bracelet all the time. The button seems to be working ok. When we push it to test it somebody comes on and stuff, we haven't had any glitches. For the most part we've never had any problem with customer service either. They're awesome and have taken care of everything very easily. The only thing is that it took my brothers some time to change some information on the files that we had with them. They started yesterday and it took them until late this morning to get that done, but that has been the only experience of that kind that we've had.

I just went through all the companies that provide this service online and decided to go with them. I live by myself, have MS, and I've fallen and broken my arm before. Because of that I keep it around and wear it all the time in case I need it. I accidentally set it off during Christmas while I was wrapping Christmas presents. I must've hit the button by accident because they called me right back and asked me if there was something wrong or if I needed help. I just told them it had been an accident and they fixed things right then and there.

It's very simple. It's easy to use and not complicated at all. I had the flu and was not well. I stumbled and fell, and I could not get up. I was able to reach my alert button, and that was it. Their operator called the EMTs, and they visited right off the bat and took good care of me, thanks to Medical Guardian. I was very glad to have it on hand. I could reach that button when I couldn't reach my cellphone, so that was even better. For anything I need when I call, even a call to test my equipment, they're very prompt, alert and polite.

My son was the instigator in putting it in for us. We tried one other company, but he was not satisfied with them, and he went to Medical Guardian. They set it up for me and he decided it was the way he wants to go. I use the device by wearing it around my neck everyday, and I have one by my bedside at night. Fortunately, I have not fallen or anything like that. We've tested it, though. One time was when my daughter was here. I have a long walk to my mailbox. I walked to it and pressed the button, and sure enough, it worked back in the house, so that made us feel good.

I recommended it to a few friends. I don't know if they will use it or not, but I recommended it. It's so simple to use; there's no difficulty at all. I got the one that goes on my wrist, and I put the receiver on my belt, so anytime I need it, it's right there. Anytime I ever called it, they're really nice to me and very helpful, so I feel like they're doing a really good job for me.

I decided it was our best option after seeing the advertising rating it number one. We haven't had to use it yet, but when I leave, my mom has it with her all the time, which makes me comfortable that if anything happened, she has instant access to 911. I haven't had that much experience with the customer service so far. Everything's been okay. I don't have full signal in my house, though. I live in a mobile home, so that makes it harder to have, but I would like to see full signal.

My sister in law helped me decide to go with Medical Guardian. I think it's a good company. I have the device with me when I shower. The people have been nice when I called in; I haven't had any trouble with them. My friend downstairs had a different company, and the fire truck came out two or three times because just by moving her arm, it would go off.

I saw a lot of advertisements about it and thought I'd give it a try. So far it has been pretty good. They respond fairly quickly when I do the tests but I wish they were a little faster. In an extreme emergency, every second counts. I don't know if other companies are faster than them, but I'm just going to stick with it. Still, they're very courteous and it's a comfort to know that there's somebody out there that will help you.

I made my choice based on the reviews that I read. I have Parkinson's and so far I've needed to use it twice. One incident involved a fall and the other one happened when I couldn't get up from the bathtub on my own. I called for assistance and they responded immediately. They were out here within 15 minutes and everything was alright. Their response time is great and they're professional and reliable.

I was looking through a magazine for the elderly and I read their Article, so I choose that one. I highly recommend it. Twice we've used it. I consider it only for extreme emergencies, but it works, and I do check it every month. It takes about 5 or 6 rings before somebody picks up, but they do pick up, and they're available to answer anything necessary. It was a very easy system to get started. It was one phone call, and within a day or so, everything was set up. It was very conveniently done.

My daughter looked them up on the on the computer and said it was good. I already did recommend them to others. They're good at customer service. I just like the way they are. It's convenient, too, because I have one of them on my neck, and I have one on my arm. I can use it in the shower, and if I'm outside working in the yard, that's when I use it the most. So I like the way of its construction.

My husband checked into several online, and this looked like the best. I'm very satisfied and I think that it was the right way to go. It's been very positive, and I think we did recommend it to someone. I haven't had to use it, but when there is no one else in the house, I usually wear the necklace part so that I can send for help when I need it. They don't call very often, and when they do, they're quick and concise about it.

I got it for my mother who is 93 years old now. She decided she wanted to wear both the wrist and the necklace at the same time. I told her she didn't have to do both, but she did anyways. The thing is, since the wrist bracelet was so big, she decided to wear that one in her ankles...The only time she had to use it was when she hit it by accident. They were very prompt and polite when they responded.

The service was recommended to me by someone that works at a nursing facility so I decided to get it for my father. I've had no problems with customer service, they've been very helpful and professional. The button has not failed me, not even once. We've had to use it 3 times and those 3 times they've been able to get an ambulance and contact me quickly. Actually, I was at church once when the device went off. It gave me the best advantages. I do need to test a little more often that I have been, but its a wonderful thing to have, and I like to let everybody know that I'm very satisfied with their service. I wear it 24 hours a day, always carry my little transmitter receiver on my belt when I'm leaving the house, and sometimes when I'm in the house, but I'm always comfortable feeling that if I push that button, they'll be talking to me on my receiver. It's just a little thing to have, but it gives me security. I live by myself and it's the one thing that I could count on; pushing that button and getting somebody's attention to do what I need to have done. It's on 24 hours a day, and that's wonderful for anybody living by themselves. It's a little bit expensive, but I found that the more expensive, the better it is, and this is one of those cases.

I looked at several different companies, and it seemed to offer the combination of relatively low price with the service I needed. It was a genuinely good experience, there was just one technical issue'it was a little bit difficult to plug in to the telephone jack. We needed to get a signal splitter in order to do it, that was the only down side that was out there. My mother wears it, she's in a two bedroom apartment a few blocks from us. The device works within the range of the monitor in the apartment. It's not a GPS type of device, so when she's at home, and if there's a problem, she's able to signal me and send an email to my self, my wife, and to a babysitter we have.

When I talked to them it all seemed like a good deal, so I signed up. The button is a little big, but that's fine. Most of the time I'm around the house, so it doesn't interfere with anything I do. I had to use it recently. I fell when I was coming up the back steps and landed on my head. I immediately called them and they came and took me to the hospital to get checked out.

I had investigated several, and this seemed to be the best choice for me. I take it with me when I go on long walks. I had the experience once of falling, and luckily I was in a place where there were people who saw me, but when you walk on country roads, you may lay there for a long time without being seen. This gives me the confidence that there will be help if I need it. I think that they're trustworthy, and that the device is convenient. The one thing that I wish were different would be if I could wear the wrist device separately and not have to carry around the main device, because it's a little bit heavy.

I feel very comfortable having it and making my life a little less traumatic in case I do need help, since I'm 80 years old. It does exactly what they advertisement said it does. It's handy to keep around. I keep it on the cradle to charge it all the time until I get a reason to leave the house. Then I put the thing in its little pocket and just carry it with me so if I fall or anything happens to me, my daughter or the authorities can locate me right away. When I go back home, I just put it back in the cradle again. I've had no problems with anything, they can locate me and everything. I feel safer having it.

The device is really good, but it's a little bit expensive; you can buy a Jitterbug phone that does the same thing, with a call button that you can hit and someone answers it. It's probably about half the price, and of course you can use the phone for something else. With my device, all I do is call and verify once a month to check it. When I called to check, and asked if they could tell me where I was at there was one agent who refused, and said she couldn't tell me where I was at unless it was an emergency, but the others had been good when I called in and asked them to verify my location. One time I thought something was wrong with my device. The person that was answering couldn't help me with it. It was on a Saturday, and Monday was a holiday, so they said I'd have to wait and call back when their office was open, and that would be on Tuesday. It kind of had me worried; what if it was something really important? I just wanted to ask about why it was not charging right, because they sent a message to some of my folks about that. I don't know if it was not seated right but I just needed some help with it, and they told me to I have to wait and callback on Tuesday. I thought, gosh, what if it runs out of battery power and I needed it before Tuesday? Somebody needs to be on call on the holidays and weekends in case you have trouble with your device. Those were the only negative things. I originally decided to get it because I could use it anywhere.

I thought it was very simple and it was just what my Mom needed. Everything has been very good. When she tries to call, they're patient and they get the message across to her. They called me once when she had tripped the alarm, which was great. I was on the way down there, but the GPS in it said she was still on the move, so it was actually a false alarm. It was still a very reassuring thing to know that it worked.

I went on the internet and searched for Medical alert systems in some publications and ratings sites. I ended up with Medical Guardian and one other that were best, and three others that were not too bad. I don't know what others charge for the service. I know this would be on the high end; it seems like the range is about thirty to fifty dollars. Anything less than that is probably not very good. With Medical Guardian, I have no problem at all, overall. I haven't used it yet really; I only did a couple of checks. From the little contact I've had, they're good. At least they speak English.

The ratings on the internet convinced me on it. About four days after I signed up for it, I tipped over in a chair backwards, and I got myself pinned such that I couldn't reach the phone or anything, and it was in the middle of the afternoon. So there I lay! I'm in an independent living retirement community, and if I could have gotten the phone that would've fixed the problem, but I couldn't, so I hit the button. The ambulance was here about ten or fifteen minutes later, it got me up, end of story. It worked!

Basically, the cost and the service provided were very reasonable. I know there are better units out there, but it served a purpose. It was ordered for my mother because she lives alone. I would recommend it for other seniors living alone. They responded right away when we tested it, and the customer service people were fantastic and addressed any concerns I had. I did have an issue when I first got it, because I'd ordered a lock box, and they put the wrong code on the box that we had requested. It was one digit off, so it wasn't double checked when they sent it out, but that was resolved.

I picked them because I could get a very limited area covered. My philosophy is that since the only place that they couldn't see me are in my house and in my yard, I don't need anything out and about where people are hanging out all the time, I just needed something to cover me here. I got the medallion that I can wear when I'm showering so I have that option. I've had a couple of false calls because the cat broke the thing off one day and the next thing I knew there were EMT's at the door, so it works very well, but they were not happy about the fact that it was a false alarm. I haven't had to use the customer support, but it must be good, since the paramedic showed up!

My children did some investigating and got it for me because they thought it was the best one. At first it was hard for me to get used to wearing the wrist one, but now I'm alright with it. The little strap that holds the it together slides back and forth a lot and it even falls apart sometimes. Because of that I have it tied down with a rubber band so that it stays put. I have it on most of the day. The only thing is that it doesn't really work if I'm too far out of the house, like when I walk to the mailbox. When I test it it takes a long time for the thing to connect and get someone on the line. It probably takes 2 or 3 minutes for them to talk to me. Because of that I was thinking that if anything happened and I laid on the floor bleeding or something, that 2 or 3 minute wait wouldn't be good at all.

Nancy, thanks for the review. Regarding your wristband, feel free to customize it howsoever you choose. Some customers change out the bands completely. A watch repair shop may be able to help you with this. Regarding response time, button presses should go through in under 60 seconds in typical conditions. Since this is not the case, we will have a member of our Customer Care team reach out to troubleshoot your Home Guardian. Thanks again for the feedback!

I just researched it and compared to other brands. I don't remember the details anymore, but it just seemed like the best one for me. One thing is that it allows me to go for a walk and carry the unit with me, so I can use it along the way. I haven't had to, but it does allow that. I have no negative experience, no complaints. It's all insurance policy: you hope you never need it, but you're willing to pay for it in case you do. So, even though it is rather expensive, it's something that I think I'm willing to pay for.

My husband had seen it somewhere in advertising. Sometimes it takes a little while to get through to them when I try to do tests or something like that. I've only used it one time where where it was an emergency, but I have tried to do tests and sometimes it takes a while to answer. I had to use it about a month and a half ago. My husband was unconscious, and they had to take him to the hospital. It was a good experience with them; they stayed on the line with me and helped me do compressions and and try to get him to breathe.

I was living alone, and I decided that since I work a lot out in the yard during the summer, if I happen to fall or get hurt, I would like to be able to have access to help without having to figure out how to get back in the house to get to the phone. I'm glad that I have it on hand in the event that I do need it. If I do need assistance, it would be available, and it's a comfort to know that I've got access to help if or when I need it.
