I certainly did not want the life alert system that one of my family members had. She had a contract that pretty much said she couldn't get out of it unless she dropped dead. She was also paying much more money than what I'm paying now. I'm satisfied with my choice and the service they give me. Whenever I've had a problem or accidentally pushed the button they were right on the ball and responded to me without any problems. I'm very pleased and I've already recommended it to a number of people.

Their advertisement was the first that I ran into so I just went with it. They're pretty expensive. The only problem I really ever had with them was when my mother accidentally pushed the button and then didn't know which button to press again to stop them from calling the ambulance. There was really no way for me to help and stop that from happening either and it caused us a bunch of trouble. It would be nice if they could find a way to stop the alarm from a different number. I don't know how much we got charged for that...As for the device themselves I think the box is fine, but they should do something about the durability of the strap for the necklace.

I had been using a different company before and had a problem with interfering signals from Comcast. I was dissatisfied with it, so I decided to switch to them. Whenever I have to press the button I get an immediate response. Even when I accidentally brush against it and set I off, someone is always there to ask me if I need help. The device is a little bulky.

I received a letter from my union that recommended them so I decided to sign up with it. It was all very easy to set up. I haven't had any emergencies arise yet, but I've pressed the button by accident. When that happened they responded immediately. It made me feel very secure and I know that if anything goes wrong they will be there for me right away.

A friend of mine told me about them and since he said it was the best service there was I went with it. I had a couple of experiences where the thing goes off accidentally. On those occasions the came on right away and took care of me. One time I actually didn't answer and they called 911. The police came out and they checked on me, which I thought was very good. I love the service.

I was just looking online and I found them so I got it for my mom. She hasn't had to use it, but it has gone off accidentally. When that happens they call me back within seconds and explain everything to me. The device is really lightweight so she wears it all the time. The only problem is that the button is big enough for our dogs to push it by accident which causes some of the alarms we've had.

I got something from Kaiser in the mail and they were talking about this service. I decided to go ahead and get it. I haven't had any reason to call them or push the button yet, but I've called them whenever I have a question and they give me the answers I need. The device is very handy, I like the bracelet one since I can wear it while I shower. The larger one is by my bed stand.

I had had a stroke and my daughter did some research to find something to help me. Customer service has been very supportive, especially when I lost the little white thing that goes on the necklace. It fell off of the black strap that it latches onto. They sent another one right out to me and I was very happy with that. The only thing is that they sent me the exact same model so it could fall off again. I think they should redesign that, especially since they charge you extra if you lose it. They were kind enough not to charge me this time because I objected, but still. I haven't had much experience with the machine, it just keeps doing what it's supposed to be doing. I accidentally pushed the button one day and everything worked exactly the way it was supposed to. If I had been in trouble I would've gotten help immediately. As far as the value goes, from the standpoint of having someone available all the time and instantly if you were to fall, it's good. But from the standpoint of paying 30 some dollars a month to just wear something that you don't use all the time, then it could be better. It would be nice for it to be somewhat more affordable.

My son is the one that decided to get it for me and I guess it's a good thing that I have it. I really haven't had it for very long, but it seems to be working well. I haven't had any reasons to use it yet but I have had some conversations with them. They probably called me because I accidentally set off the thing, but that's alright, I understand. I got it for my mother since she had just fallen. She had a fracture and a dislocated shoulder, so it seemed reasonable to get it, especially with the price it had. We haven't really used it, but we've tried it out. It worked fine just then. We just have one base station and it has the microphone or whatever. I hope that if she falls the station will be able to pick up on it. We've only really dealt with customer service when we first started with it. They were fabulous and very accommodating.

We haven't had to use the service for an emergency, but having that as security is helpful.

My girlfriend made some calls around to research. Not only did LifeStation have great prices but the people there were offering the service were well informed and very nice. They knew what they were talking about and were not pushy at all. I think the machine is just fine. My husband just wears the necklace. I've only had it for two months and we haven't had to use it yet. But, when we were setting up the system, the alarm went off and they immediately sent the emergency people. They got the right address and everything. We explained the situation and things were ok.

My sister who lives in Texas did some research and picked this one. It was a combination of things, including the training of the people in the call center, that made her feel better about getting the service. We kind of fumbled with the system at first but they were really helpful and nice about it all. My mom had a thing where she left and accidentally pressed the button. She had a very good experience with the person that answered though. They were nice and didn't shame her about the accident. They just made sure that my mom was ok. The necklace button that she wears around her neck has a crack in it already. It's not waterproof anymore. I think the should work on it a bit more to make it more durable. Still, we're grateful to have it, it gives us peace of mind to know that if my mom falls or something happens, she can get help and still be safe.

On an occasion, my father unknowingly hit the button one time and couldn't hear the thing because he had a heavy coat on. Excellent service. We installed the system in my 92 year-old father's home as he lives alone. Fortunately, he has not needed to alert them for anything other than monthly tests. He has successfully tested it from different areas of his house. Recently, an electrician was making a repair at his home which required the power to be off and on for a period of time. LifeStation detected this and contacted me immediately to alert me to a possible issue with the system. Nothing was wrong but we appreciated the contact!

I tried with other companies before switching to LifeStation. With the others, it seemed that the device would overcharge all the time and then stop working. Since the doctor wanted me to have one, my son and I decided to get LifeStation through Kaiser. It definitely works, maybe too well. I use the necklace and it's very lightweight and doesn't bother me at all. Still, it's very sensitive and goes off if I lean too close to the TV or even when I wore it under my shirt. Whenever we had false alarms, they still went and responded immediately to know if I was having trouble. Once I didn't even hear the emergency call and they went ahead and called my son. Since they couldn't get a hold of me, they ended up sending the firefighters, which was a little embarrassing. Still, I appreciated the response time.

It goes on for 3 minutes or so, and since I live in an apartment I'm afraid my neighbors just hear this thing going 'emergency, emergency.' We wanted something for my 87 year old mother so that she could notify people if she needed help. She has fallen several times because of her age and instability. Whenever this happens, the device automatically detects the fall and triggers an alarm. The company then just calls her to check if she is ok without her having to push a button. Customer service has been very responsive and pleasant to deal with. They follow through with special requests and keep my mom's profile up to date with the information we give them. They just do everything the way we would expect them to do it. The only problem we've had is that the device is really sensitive and, for instance, if the dog jumps on my mum's lap it can press the button with its paw. We've had to put a little box around the device so that doesn't happen. Other than that, I have been very pleased with the service.

Meds have showed up on some of those occasions, so I know the service works. As long as the batteries and connection work, they're good to go. I also like that they provide the ability to order a special lock to store keys for the responders to get in. It's a bit more money, but it's a nice feature. As for the device itself, even though it works fine, it looks like it's kind of aged, as if it was an older model. What a pay a month is not bad, though I'd like it if they offered some kind of discount or help for families with lower income. I know it's a competitive market, but it would help us and them in getting more customers.

I got it since it was recommended by Kaiser medical. Normally I have it on my wrist, but unless there's an emergency I don't activate it. The response team is very alert though. Whenever I have accidentally activated the device, they have responded immediately. They have responded to every inquiry I had and have been very polite, responsive, and competent. I do think that the device could be better. The velcro that you use to strap the wrist unit gives out in about 3 months and then you need to replace it. It would also be nice if they made the button recede further into the device so that it is harder to push it accidentally.

My daughter in law got it some two years ago when I was moved to Portland. I was in my 80s then and they got me a condo to live on my own. Because of that, they decided I should have some kind of alert system in case I fell or something. Though, I don't know if I would've picked LifeStation if it had been up to me. One of the problems I have is with the lock that they give you so that the emergency people can come in. You see, there are two doors to get through if you want to get all the way into my condo. The lock thing is already installed for my own door, they did all that while I was gone, but if the emergency people want to get to my door they need to be let in to the condo area first. There's no lock for that. I called them and asked them what would happen if there was an emergency, and they said they would have to ring all the doorbells to be let in. That's no good though, all the people here are elderly and it wouldn't work on an emergency. I'll have to get another lock box for that, but I don't know if there's an extra charge or how that would go. On top of that I also think they take a while before they answer, though I'm not sure if that's how all the medical alert systems are. The necklace also bumps into things very easily and goes off, I don't like that.

It's for my dad, and he typically wears it on his wrist. Whenever we've tested it, or if he accidentally sets it off, we always get a quick response and get taken care of. They answered all the questions we had and, when we needed an update, they gave me all the information that we needed. We've had no problems, and the device is easy enough for my dad to use, but not too sensitive as to have a lot of false triggers.
