I'm in the process of changing companies. The other day I was running a test and there was a lot of static in the line. The person couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear them. Eventually the call was disconnected. Right after I got a message on the screen that said I hadn't called. We had to reset the whole system to get it to work again. I would say that the device itself is fine, but it doesn't work that well up here. Maybe if I was a little further down south.

One of their representatives called me and talked to me about protection and all that. That's when I decided I needed to get it. I put it around my neck in case something happens. Though a lot of the time it kind of gets in the way and bumps against everything. Still, since I'm on my own most of the time, and I drive sometimes, I know it's there if I need it. I can use it in the shower too, which is great since I've fallen there before. It's helpful and a really good device.

I got it because I wasn't allowed to leave the hospital until I got some kind of system like this one. Since it had the best reviews I decided to go with it. On an occasion I was trying to reach something and had no support or anything. I ended up falling on my back and had to use the button. I got a good response. I've had some false alarms and other times when I call them to check in, but I've only really had that one emergency. The device is easy to use, it just sits on my neck and I have no problems with it. It's good, it gives me security and I know that if I need help they'll send someone.

I've never had to use it, thank god, but it's very comfortable. I wear it everyday and I have the control unit close by. I think it's great. Whenever I accidentally push the emergency button they've been there right away. They're very patient and pleasant. They could get upset by the accidental push, but they don't. I've really enjoyed having it. It has been very helpful.

I've had it for years. Every time I've used the Medical Alert button they've been here in no time. One time I fell right outside the door of my house, between the garden and the door, and couldn't get up. I pushed the button and even though the base unit was in my bedroom they were still able to hear me. I could barely hear them, but it was enough and things just went beautifully. They sent out the paramedics and they arrived very shortly and picked me up. They have always been there when I need them. It's a good system. Talking to my girlfriend who has a different system I realized that they're all pretty much the same when it comes to how fast they get to you. Right now I'm trying to decide if I should get the one that can go with you anywhere since my husband travels sometimes.

My husband needed it at the time. He was always falling in the bathroom, the kitchen, and even when he was leaving a room. Since I couldn't pick him up, I needed to have something to call people to help me get him up. He has used it in different occasions, when he gets up at night to go to the bathroom, in the afternoon, etc. since he could fall anytime.

Zero customer service. Altho we returned our never activated, never opened system AND THE SIGNED FOR THIS RETURN ON DECEMBER 4, we still have not received our $329 Credit!! When I call them they claim the credit is happening soon. HERE'S THE BEST THO: THEIR SALES PEOPLE CALL CONSTANTLY TO SELL ME A SYSTEM EVEN THO I'M WAITING FOR A CREDIT FOR THE ONE I RETURNED.

The automatic fall detection service I subscribed to with Medical Alert failed when my 94 year old mother needed it the most. My Mother fell in the bathroom and laid on the cold tile floor for 12 hours. The failure was caused by incompatible equipment sent by Medical Alert where the transmitter was not compatible with the base station to detect a fall. Customer service was non existent when trying to address the issue. I cancelled the service after this awful experience.

BUYER BEWARE........ Medical alert processed a Payment through Auto pay on my Visa card in July. On October 25th we canceled service was told we would have refund within 30 days. After making several calls I’ve been told three times it has been elevated, STILL NO REFUND AS OF JANUARY 18th?

I cancelled my Mom's Medical Alert in November and I still don't have my refund. They refund the months you didn't use when you die or in Assisted Living. It has been two months and STILL NO REFUND AS OF JANUARY 24th. I would never have Medical Alert again. When they charge my card every 6 months, they did it right on the date.

I went with this home fall detect unit and had it for 5 months absolutely loved it exclamation. The price was right for myself. The people on the other end for emergency calls are very friendly and helpful one time they were backed up and didn't respond as quick but for the most part they're very fast. They also offered one free month and a lock box. They have Southern Accents no hard to understand foreign language accent. I then decided because I fell twice at work and once walking to call and ask about their mobile units. This is where became frustrating for me the first unit worked for fall detect it was the same price as I was paying for my home device but $10 more for fall detect on the go unit which I thought it was okay and worth it as they would be able to GPS my position. Setup work great fall the tech twerk then in shower it turned on the next day I realize from a fall that fall detector was no longer working so I believe it shorted out they sent me a replacement very quickly within 2 days unfortunately fall detect did not work they sent me another replacement fall the tech did not work on the go unit. Now they are sending me the Elite model for the same price but she has given me two months free for as long as I hold the unit so it works out to be the same price as I was paying for the home unit. I'm hoping that this one will work. Even though my mother is frustrated and says the system is junk which I'm on the edge about technology can fail technology is not a hundred percent. I'm very young and I've been enjoyed the home unit I'm just working out the Kinks for the go unit which I would not recommend the elite unit seems a little more complicated but having more things to carry so I will give it a try. So far service 4 the dispatchers, troubleshooters, and testing anyone that I've spoken with has been so helpful and polite amazing help that is why I'm willing to give the elite a try if it does not work then I would have to say in Canada it's not very good for mobile unit but I will see home unit price was right and comparable to others and very friendly service so yes home unit is good for Canadians with my experience. I hope from Reading other people's reviews if I do decide to go with another service provider that I do not have trouble with finances and getting it back I will write more reviews later

Medical alert gives no statements I returned a unit 1/27/18 that I prepaid for the year no money’s back yet called asked for a statement they told me they didn’t do that! Well hear I am no statement they owe me 8 months here it is over 30 days the said the would return my money over 250 bucks not a penny back yet Call them to ask you have to wait on hold for over a hour they hope you will for get your money

Thank God, I’ve only had “false alarms”over the past 6 years. The responders have always been professional and reassuring even when pendant accidentally pressed or dropped. Thank you. Contacts regarding billing have also been positive. New “weighted” is a little “sensitive”, but provides add’l reassurance.

Good until there is a billing error. Since January, 2018 I have waited on hold for hours and talked to no less than four unhelpful persons trying to get a refund for a unit sent to my 85 year-old-mother WITHOUT my (the payee) permission. Was promised a refund then later told it was not processed and that I would have to talk to supervisor. Impossible! Further, I was billed after wall buttons were returned. Very frustrating. FINALLY after much frustration, Sheila helped me. I am back on board. Thanks

Really works! Two of my family members have it! Just got the device that detects a fall, and it worked! Life Alert initiated the process when a family member passed out. Life Alert contacted me and I immediately went to see what happened. A fall had taken place in the bathroom and Life Alert had the life saving crew on the way, so we got to my family member about the same time. Luckily, no broken bones, etc. but family doctor recommended the patient go to ER to be checked out due to a history of falls. After one week in the hospital and two weeks in rehab, we are back home now. I truly recommend Life Alert!!!!
