Cox Internet is a major part of the internet service providers industry. It provides about six million customers with internet access and is one of the nation's largest broadband companies right now. Currently, Cox Internet is only serving select areas across the country.
Cox offers customers download speeds up to 1 Gbps and up to 2 TB data caps. Cox's monthly prices start at $49.99.
As a company, Cox Internet believes in giving back and making opportunities for its employees. Cox prides itself on being charitable in their communities and have a wide diversity within the company. Cox Internet is a constant innovator in the internet service industry.
One of the most important features of internet service is the speed that a customer can download. Cox Internet provides excellent speeds to its customers. It offers five internet speeds for customers to choose from. Those internet plans are:
With these options, customers can find the high speed internet that fits their price point.
Cox's internet package prices are competitive for the industry and are lower than some of its competitors' prices.
Cox's packages offer a wide range of options for the customer to choose from. There are speeds in the top tiers that are fast enough for any customers needs. These customers will not have to wait for their content to load or buffer. But
Cox Internet also provides people with a lower speed option package (Essential) for those customers who do not need quite as much power behind their internet usage. This variety of speeds helps potential customers to find a package that meets their specific needs without going over or under the speed that will work best for them.
With this variety of packages for the customer to choose from, they will also find that the prices of these options are very affordable for most budgets. The prices of these service plans are:
The prices stated above do not include taxes, modem or router rental fees, or the $10 per month surcharge for a month-to-month contract instead of a one year contract.
New customers can also receive a discounted price for the first 12-months.
These prices are not exceptionally high and are even low compared to some of their competitors' prices. This is especially true for the higher packages. Some other internet service providers charge almost double for that high of a speed.
Cox gives all its customers a data cap of 1 TB (1024 GB) per month. As far as data caps go, 1 TB is common in the industry and provides users with plenty of data.
Customers who surpass their data limit will be charged an additional $10 per up to 50 GB excess data used.
This can be an issue for customers if they want the speed that is associated with a certain product package but need more than the allotted amount of data for that package.
This can be a major drawback for Cox Internet as a potential customer is doing their research on their options.
I gave Cox a one star only because I couldn’t get it to go lower. They’ll sell you a speed saying it’s fast enough for internet gaming and streaming TV, but it’s not. When you call them to complain or to get it fixed all they want to do is sell you a more expensive service. Cox doesn’t understand I’m not happy with them. Why would I want to give them more money each month?
The internet is ridiculously slow. It took me a couple minutes just to get to this website. They couldn’t even install our security the first time because of the slow speeds. They said they would fix it but still haven’t. I’m unable to use any of my online games on my ps4 because the internet does not work most of the time. I have 3G data on my cell phone and that is extremely slow but 99% of the time it works even faster than the WiFi.
We have had Cox internet for about four years now. In the beginning, our cost and experience was pretty good. As time has gone on, however, our prices have been raised a couple of times. We have called on a few of occasions to receive assistance, and have been mostly met with a runaround and not a lot of helpful information or service. Overall, our experience has been okay. My rating would be higher if they had better customer service.
Cox was a great way to get service. I didn't have to worry about it ever not working or being too spotty.
Works pretty quickly, is reliable, and haven'y had too many problems with costumer service.
I had Cox internet for several years. The products were good but the cost kept increasing.
Worst Internet provider. Scam my 25$ because the autopay not working even thought I paid them right after that and still on time. So I cancel the service right after that then they took away my deposit for the modem also, I returned the modem on time and in good conditions. Suckk policy = scam their customer = rip off customer. That 25$ will help your company grow.
Internet stops working on a daily basis!
Too expensive. Always raising rates.
They keep raising prices, we keep them due to needing high speed internet.
Very knowledgeable. Fixed problem in timely manner.
Satisfactory they need to control costs
For the most part very good. Some of their installers have zero experience, so you have to question their experience before allowing them to work in your home.
Connection services seem to be a problem
Captive market so I''m not that happy. Too expensive and has reliability issues.
Better internet. A little expensive though.
Very good customer service; can improve with better access for hard of hearing people
The internet is great. But, not on T.V channels service
The company offers Low competitive price.
No problems and everything gets taken care of in timely manner
Overpriced, Customer Service border line average
High prices and poor customer service, but at least the internet works
Terrible, slow service, disrupted service, expensive.
Occasional service interruption. Can be challenging to contact a person when the system is down. We have phone/internet together!
Cox is very fast and usually doesn’t lag. It is very reliable. Sometimes it does take awhile but when that happens it usually doesn’t last very long
I have Premier Internet Service from Cox (I live in 85225). The connection has always been very reliable and fast. There were a couple occasions right after it was installed when we needed a tech to come out and amplify the signal for us. Those techs were courteous and expert.
Very stable. Excellent customer service 24/7. Pricey!
i don't like that they're the only ones in town with options over 50mgs. They can make more discounts for their continuing customers and just for new ones.
It seems that my internet gets slower and slower every few months. Of course, the "solution" is to pay more for more bandwidth. I've done that and it still seems slow. All things said, Cox is better than the local alternatives.
We have never had any issues with Cox internet service. We have had service with theme for over 11 years.
I have used Cox Internet before, when I lived in Las Vegas. It was fast and easy to use and very reliable. I loved that I could bundle it and that they could fix the price for a long period of time.
We have not had the best experience with Cox. When we got our next box, the 3rd party that was asked to put it in took a few hours! And didn’t finish. Then when we called and asked them to come back, they wouldn’t. We finally got it resolved a week later but wow! Also has the worst email service. Takes forever to delete things and keeps bringing them back even after they’ve been deleted.
Great customer service and excellent at explaining in detail the problems you may be having with your service. I can count on them when I am in need of some help!
It’s pretty much the only option and it feels like they know that. They don’t really go out of their way to help you.
Cox is our current internet service provider. In our area Cox is the best option for high speed internet service. With Cox our internet connectivity is reliable. Calls to the service line are helpful and lead to positive resolutions of any problems.
The service was bad....internet would stop working after certain times a day for 2 weeks straigh until 6a for 2 weeks straight...had charges pop up I didnt know about and was never told about. Did not ever once receive a bill from Cox only payment reminders and paid. Called tech support 3 times to be told I owed no balance til today and just made a payment 2 weeks ago.....will be returning equipment to cox asap and will be looking for another internet service provider.....it sucks
Don't ask too many questions and don't be so personal about what are they going to do with their bills or how they are going to be payed.
No complaints!! I have 300 mgs and can stream on all devices with no issue!!
Internet goes out periodically. customer service is good, operators are local not offshore
They r ok but frustrated at prices always rising.
I was a client for more than 13 years and every year it was the same, they increased the monthly payment without warning and when making the call to solve the problem and lose two hours and it is always a machine that answers you and gives you thousands of options that none of them is what you need and in the end only receive a part as a bonus and end up paying more that month and the monthly payment is never the same after the year and always for some reason that I never understood in these more than thirteen years always do what they want with the client and charge the monthly payment
I did the pre-pay for the "Straight Up Internet" COX service, but the service was never installed and the money was kept. Installers came out on three different occasions, and each one commented a lift truck would be needed. Apparently there was no communication among the installers since it was Groundhog Day each time. When I checked the status for a fourth visit I learned that COX had applied the money to a disputed bill from over 5 years ago I thought was resolved. It was really misleading for them to let me go online, pre-pay, confirm payment and message me that service would be installed. I would not trust them with a pre-payment.
They are OK. Difficult to communicate with unless one follows their script.
I am mostly satsfied. I just wish the wifi signal was stronger and pricing was lower, considering the number of customers that they serve.
I have always had COX and on occasion they offer me some very special offers. Like additional cable channels for onyear for an additional .50cents
Billing department is terrible. Was getting transferred from one person to another. Spent 3 hours and 40 minutes combined. It seemed like no one wanted to do the job. They are willing to to simple transactions like accepting a payment, but when it comes to fixing issues, no one knows anything.
Customer service is horrible. My son got deployed with the army and Cox would not cancel the account because it was not my son making the cancellation. Cox kept saying he personally had to walk in or call. His wife was treated poorly. What part of deployment does Cox not understand?
The power is very erratic and also broadcast is not as sharp/clear compared to sat broadcast
great experience, true to there word, great service, would recommend to a friend
I have had Cox High Speed Internet, Cable TV, and Phone for eight years. Their signal quality and minimal downtime are exceptional. Their customer service is almost stellar, however, they are shockingly overpriced and inflexible with their "bundling" nonsense.
