I have been a customer since 2018 and haven't had many issues however I was not notified that my 2 yr plan had expired and so my bill went up dramatically. They could have better commu inaction with there customers. As well as being charged for your cable box and modem they should be a bundle deal.

Comcast... big company, and so-so customer service. Was so bad at one point they changed their name to Xfinity. I dropped them for dish a long time ago and never looked back. I hear they have gotten better but I am actually no longer in an area that they service.

We had (my partner and I) Xfinity Internet. We were paying about $140/month for just Internet. We had originally gotten the service at around $40 and have just watched it skyrocket in price. We've now got Verizon 5G Internet service to go with our phones for $25/month and a guarantee to not go up. Although the Xfinity Internet Service worked fine, it was not worth the money and ALL the alternatives are cheaper and, in my opinion, just as good.

I am so glad to be rid of these scumbags now that AT&T has laid fiber. Every year, or every few months, calling in to b***c about rate variances or negotiate a new agreement. Paltry ~400 down on a "gigabit" down line, and wimpy 35 up with a 25 ping? I thought you were the elite of the elite! Went to a store to get a D3.1 gateway that could do bridge mode without double NAT. Not a soul in the place had the foggiest idea what I was talking about. Nor did the overseas CSR's. Best way forward here was always to call in and tell the automated system you want to cancel service, then proceed with your regular request with the stateside rep. The most disgusting tendency I have observed on the part of Comcast is predatory sales to seniors. I volunteer tech support. Nearly every one of them who are Comcast customers have HBO et al, gigabit, premium security, TDMA/CDMA backup, just maxed out everything because the commissioned sales rep has nothing to lose and everything to gain. We are talking beige computers here. It took them 3 months to bury a cable. They did a good job, but the utility locators' flags and marks were loooong gone. Luck of the draw. Oh, and it can cost you more to own a modem than to rent a gateway. Traffic shaping, anyone? Routinely hit higher speeds on a WireGuard VPN than a naked connection. I have spent so much time talking to their customer service that I have the jargon down and often come in knowing more than the idi--the person on the other end of the line. Fortunately other mega corps are encroaching on their territory with better tech, better bandwidth. Kind of a frying pan > fire proposition here. These lords of coax have reigned over we serfs and collected extortionist fees, to what end? Did they improve the grid? No, they bought Disney. Good luck with that.

I will never in my lifetime use this company again. At a very sad and crucial time in my life, and family member dying, I was slightly late with my cellphone bill, and this company simply shut down my ability to text out, call out, only receiving texts from themSELVES. I HAD A BUNDLE SERVICE, with TV, phone and internet. The prices changed constantly. I went INTO THE EXFINITY STORE, to talk to a person about these changes, several times, and was lied to each time. Finally I took all the equipment back, that was refurbished anyway, and closed my account. I confronted the person who opened the original account, because he lied about every. Single. Thing. It has been over a year, and still there are solicitations to come back. The worst experience in my life with a provider.

They do have good internet, however mine went out from time to time, but the worst part is the contract I moved from my apartment and requested Comcast to switch the service to my new address well to my surprise they didn't service my new area so since I couldn't use them at the new address they charged me a cancellation fee.

I don't regularly write negative reviews but this time I am making an exception. It's becoming frequently frustrating relying on the reliability of Comcast/Xfinity. The streaming has become so poor that one is unable to watch live shows like the ESPN coverage of the US Open without interruptions. This is only one recent incident. There are many more. I am so annoyed with the service. I must make a change!

My experience with Comcast has made me make a vow to never give another dime to them. I had their service for a year, which was fine. They wanted to increase the rate after the year and so I called in to cancel my service. I received a bill for 3 months of service after I had canceled, which I told I would not pay as I had already cancelled per their process. This bill was sent to collections and they refused to remove it. I called back later when working with the collection company to have it striked from my record, but Comcast's service was so awful in trying to give me information. They told me they had no notes of me calling to cancel, though they had it documented the day I called to cancel and said the support rep didn't put notes into the system for that call and so I would be response for the collections charge. Ridiculous.

They gave me a special rate and I received a text that my data was almost gone for the month and I called them and found out I didn't have unlimited, so she said for $25 a month it's unlimited and u get the pods free. I never received the pods and when she changed it to unlimited it took our special price away and it ended up costing us $200 a month for 3 or 4 months I kept thinking I forgot to pay the bill and it was for a couple months and I looked at the bill and saw what she had done. She didn't tell me my price would go up 3x the amount plus the $25. Then I canceled it and asked them could we keep our cell service, they said YES BUT U CANT ADD NEW LINES. So I get a bill 11 months later for over double my regular bill. They started charging us $25 per line and for the tablet. So $75 extra dollars because we didn't have the internet. This was without warning or anything. And their internet is terrible, it goes out every night and doesn't load what u stream.

There was never enough internet to accommodate my household. Therefore, every month my bill would be substantially higher. The cost of the plan would change every year without prior notification to a larger fee. I was limited to this company based on my address for years. Finally my children received a hot spot from there school and I was able to cancel the service. I was a customer for over 5 years.

The internet and phone service I get from them is pretty reliable most of the time. Even during the worst Noreasters we haven't lost service. But my biggest concern of course, is the price. I mean it is almost a car payment! Heaven forbid if you want to add a room! They have no competition whatsoever where I live so they got us over a barrel. And they don't reward long-term customers either. They even charge you to move! Technology, I don't think I would miss it if it were gone tomorrow.

It has caused issues with my job and quality of life. I can't stream movies or shows, game, or even video chat with relatives. When it works it works well, but when it goes out it is a disaster.

The speed was adequate for non-streaming, but the consistency of signal/service was frustrating. I had a number of service calls to deal concerns that seemed to 'follow' me as I moved 3 different times all in the same delivery area. I have since moved out of their service area.

The products are top of the line, but you will pay a lot of money for it. Every year they will slowly raise your rates until you call them and try to make a deal. They also told me I had unlimited data and when my family moved in during covid, I found I did not have unlimited data.
