xfinity is great! The support is excellent! If there is ever an issue they work to resolve it quickly. We have business class Internet and it is fast and works well. We have Xfinity home phone and have no problems. We tried their security program but our Wi-Fi was hacked so that was a problem and we discontinued that.

My experience has been that the service is great - that's in speaking with agents, Techies for troubleshooting, and with repair specialists. All cable/ Internet/ phone companies are pricey, and the way channels are packaged can annoy me (which is not always the fault of the company). but overall I'm very happy with Comcast. I had them, left them, and when my carrier couldn't fix a recurring issue, I went back to Comcast. They DID fix the issue and had to persist in order to do so. Today I talked with Tense, and she answered the pressing question I had.

Because it's always on unlike others I have tried. With others I can got o the kitchen and make a sandwich, come back and I am still waiting while Imake that sandwich no matter what kind of optics they calim to have. And some companies just have too much equipment and are difficult to contact when there is an issue..

Overall our experience with Comcast was positive. I worked from home and needed to have an internet provider with fast speeds, that was dependable. There were only a handful of times that our internet was down. The only negative experience I had with Comcast was with their customer service department. I kept getting transferred to other departments and it to longer to get my issue resolved. Thankfully I didn't have to call very often.

We have had Comcast Internet for many years and are very happy with their service. We have not had any other servicer, so have nothing to compare it with. Only complaint about Comcast is that they are a big company and if you have any problems it's very difficult to get a hold of someone. And I also feel they cost is higher than it needs to be.

I thought Comcast was pretty great, the internet seemed fast. We only needed our daughter a couple of times to fix the internet, so that was nice. I think the best an internet provider can do is make you forget that there is internet. When the speed is so fast, and you never have down time- you almost forget that internet is even involved at all. That's when you know you have good service, the kind that doesn't make you scream and tear your hair out.

We have over 12 devices using the WiFi at the same time and it never lags! 😊 When you need you can access customer service in several different ways, they are always helpful! I was in the middle of a call and lost connection, the customer service agent I was speaking with called me back. That made me happy to speak with the same person that was helping me out and that he cared enough to call me back. 😊

I have been a costumer of Comcast for over 20 years. Their technology has been evolving for the best. I have the most comprehensive packet and it serves its purpose. Their costumer service is excellent. Anytime I have an issue with the service, I don't hesitate to call them and get amazing service. I only wish that they could bring fiber optic internet in my neighborhood. Other than that, I do not have an issue with Comcast. Also, better pricing for low income people.

We have had Infinity (Comcast) on an I must say off for years. I must say that anytime I had no service a portion was taken off the bill, which I do feel is great. Outages will happen, upgrades will also take place, all things that will happen with this sort of service. Having worked in this field, and being technology based, it is always changing and ever upgrading to offer the customers even more or faster service. The internet side of things, I dont think that can be topped, I have had nothing but great service all the way around, although it is costly, it is worth it.

Excellent. Transition to 5G resulted in a need for equipment upgrade. I tried to purchase my own equipment to interphase with Xfinity and could not find appropriate matches. So I opted for the equipment rental modem and upgraded to max speeds (0ver 900) and once every thing was compatible for 5G I have had no problems and no service calls in past 8 months.

I have been with Comcast Xfinity for about 15 years. Over this period I have found their service to be very reliable, and the download / upload speeds consistent. There have been times when the internet has gone out (or gone slow) and this has been traced to a cut cable line underground, or one damaged by a weed eater. Comcast have been very responsive to these calls for help, and fixed the problem before they leave. All in all a great experience and have recommended them to others too.

I have never requested a technician, I did all of the wired and wireless set ups myself and it meets my necessity. However, stay away from the customer service, they may not be as helpful as supposed to be.

Xfinity internet has worked pretty well over the years that I have subscribed. I switched to Xfinity cable internet after having used the phone company's dsl. Xfinity was a great improvement. I was a bit skeptical about renting equipment from them decided to go that route instead of buying my own modem/gateway. They have been great about troubleshooting when problems arose, and have always upgraded my equipment to the latest. My one complaint would be that they don't offer the same things for existing companies that they do for new customers. My son who lives nearby recently got internet service without phone or cable tv for a great price. Since I don't use our landline anymore, I thought I'll call and downgrade to internet only, but was surprised to find they don't have that offer for me. The only options I have for change are upgrading to higher more costly services, not downgrading to lower less costly service.

I used to have service with Comcast Xfinity when I lived in Seattle. I would rate them as pretty good. Although the service did go down occasionally, it wasn’t often, and it was weather related. The quality of service was good. My only complaint about them would be the cost. Internet service providers are allowed to compete with each other in the same neighborhoods in Seattle, and Comcast did not seem too interested in retaining existing customers. When I threatened to move to CenturyLink, they didn’t care. I gave them multiple opportunities to keep me as a customer by negotiating for the monthly service rate, but they couldn’t be bothered. They only got serious when I hung up and threatened to leave. And even then they blew it. Their service is pretty decent, but the customer retention methods are totally clueless.

We have had fairly positive experience with Xfinity internet. A couple of years ago our internet service became extremely erratic. I went to the xfinity store and they made a few adjustments over a couple of weeks, but as soon as it appeared to be working, it would go off. Eventually they put someone on the task who was very knowledgeable. He told us that he would investigate until it was fixed which he did. It turned out to be a very unusual problem of water getting into a crack on the box on our neighbor’s property and shorting out the wiring whenever they watered their lawn. He had it fixed which required digging trenches, etc. but we were very happy that he solved the problem. I just wish they had addressed it a little sooner.

My husband called one day and was on the phone for an hour and a half with customer service they guy in customer service keep chatting about all this random unrelated stuff while, he was trying to solve the issue. Comcast is overpriced and they raise their rates constantly. They value new customers more than the loyal ones and don’t offer the same quality of incentives to existing customers. That being said, they are the absolute best providers for this area and I will stay with them due to the indispensable service offered. Customer service is good and they are always willing to give credits IF you call and threaten to cancel service. It’s a completely annoying model. We are bundled through Comcast for phone, cable TV and internet and generally speaking the service is pretty good. We do run quite a few wireless devices through the home, but more and more we're noticing how sluggish our access is getting. For the amount I'm paying monthly, I'm not real satisfied. I know I need to call and discuss it with them. Perhaps there is something that can be I'm probably. But I shouldn't have to. They can see my equipment and usage and could reach out to me. But I will say we have little downtime, and when I do call customer service about outages, they are friendly.

We have found this to be consistently the fastest and most reliable internet service available in our area. However, it is also one of the most expensive. We pay for it anyway, because we need the speed and consistency, but we do feel like we're being overcharged. It's usually cheaper if you get it bundled with other services, which is why we still have cable, even though we mostly use streaming services now. We pay less for cable and internet together than we would for internet alone. So talk to the rep about how to get the best price, and recheck it every year to get on whatever new bundle they might have.

Save yourself the trouble and go with another internet/TV provider. This company has been nothing but a pain in my side since I started using them a decade ago. They secretly jack the price up over the months/years and the last straw was them blocking my VPN connection and when presented with the issue they refused to fix it. Comcast/Xfinity representatives also make promises they can't keep and they consistently disappoint in every aspect of Customer service. I had home security and internet with Comcast. I cancelled my service with them because the alarm would go on at the house each 1 min for no reason and they couldn't fix that without me being at home. I was traveling. Their system acts up each time after a power shortage and would beep each 15-30 min or so for days. Each time a call to Xfinity was necessary to reset the system on their end. This was time consuming, of course, as you have to get through their annoying automatic system to even get to a human. The internet bill went to $89 and EZFiber was at $50 for the same GB so I canceled the internet with them too. Upon service cancelations I asked if I need to return their home security screen and make sure their system shows the modem was mine and I don't have to return it. The agent said I don't have to return anything, I am all set. 2 months later automatic voicemail drops start coming each day asking to return their equipment. I called them to ask what equipment, the agent said he doesn't see on my account any equipment to return. I specifically asked about the screen, he said no. And that happened 3 times, as the automatic voicemail drops continued to come, despite the fact 3 different agents said they don't see any equipment to be returned. I remembered they did send me something for the TV, a while back, maybe 3-4 years ago. I never used and I never friking asked for it. I don't watch TV at all. I looked for it, found it and went to a store to return it. Assumed that was the reason of the automatic phone calls asking to return their equipment. I asked if they see any other equipment I have to return. The answer was no again. Automatic voicemail drops, reminding me to return their equipment. I called again, was told to ignore the, the agent can't update the system but there is nothing to return. Which did not make a lot of sense to me but he said it might take time to update their system. Well now I got a $330 bill in the mail and can't get pass the automatic system to talk with an representative, through the phone number they have on the billing page. It's incredible their agents can't see in the system things that the AI does and I feel I am being harassed. I hope the bill doesn't go to a collection agency and ruins my credit. This is why I kept on calling them back to ask if and what I need to return.

No choice. This company Comcast/Xfinity, Big political lobby. They own Cape Cod. This month alone almost everyone I ask says they all have the same issue as me. Constant outrages. All day and all night. The interruptions are ridiculous. I used all my cell data the first week of the month Jully 2023. Tons of propaganda on internet searches about how great this company is. If you lose a day of service due to an outage. You have to call for a credit which usually is a few dollars off your bill. Literally a few like under 5. After paying hundreds per month. Here is $2.00 for your inconvenience. Essentially it's not a reliable service on Cape Cod. You have NO choice. Great deals for new customers. When that deal expires hold on to your hat. If you are on a fixed income you can get a discount. Disabled on food stamps. It's now considered a utility. One catch as always. It is 30.00 discount. For existing customers. New customers can get 100mbps for 10.00. This law, rule or provision went into effect when Covid started to simmer down. Somehow the company was able to use this loop hole that the affordable internet was only for new customers. Has anyone questioned them on this catch. It's super shady. They are the only company available in many areas. So if you are Disabled/fixed income recipients you still need to give Comcast/Xfinity more than 1/8 of your income if you don't want to live in a cave. Really can't say enough about shady, greedy monopolies. My best advice ask your elected officials to stop taking money from this company and support their constituents for a change. And hey while you are at it. Stop the insider trading. I have supposed 200mbps per months. More lime dial up at times. This summer worse then dial up.

I've been with Comcast for 17 years. Initially, lots of connection problems WITH INTERNET CONNECTION AND CABLE TV. Eventually those were mostly resolved. For the past few years, the user interface has really become dismal. For instance, in the past, if you interrupted a movie, when you tuned back in, it was there at the place you left off under 'Saved for You'. Now, if you do the same, when you come back you have to find the movie again on whatever channel, and then fast forward to the place you left off...if you can remember it. Comcast would have a fabulous product IF they can spend some creativity and time to make the user interface better.

Summary: If you have other options of ISPs with comparable speed and reliability, choose them over Xfinity The good: Xfinity's internet service is fine. I rarely have outages and get mostly the speeds I pay for (all ISPs have the "up to XX speed" disclaimer to explain why you never get the max speed you pay for). The bad: Their customer service is awful and their billing practices are questionable. They tend to service areas where you really don't have any other good options so they can bill you whatever they want and you really just have to deal with it. If you ever have to contact Xfinity for any reason it will be a miserable experience. To give an example, I upgraded my internet plan to a higher speed and was getting nowhere near that speed. It took multiple chats with customer service to get a tech out to troubleshoot the issue. The tech actually did a good job and showed me good evidence that I just needed to replace my modem, but in the meantime he set me up with a rental modem and offered to apply a credit towards my account to let me use the rental modem free for one month. And this is when the issues really got started. The rental equipment got added to my bill, and after returning the equipment the charge was not removed from my bill. I had to contact customer support 3-4 times to get that removed, with each time having them tell me "it's fixed, you just need to wait another billing cycle to see the change on your end". prior to this incident I also had a 2 year discount of $10 per month for owning my own equipment. Apparently borrowing a rental modem for 1 month is enough of an excuse for them to remove that discount and refuse to reapply it after being back on your own equipment. Every "mistake" made on your bill conveniently seems to result in you paying them more money and it is on you to try and decipher their bills to determine if you should be paying that extra money or not. It took me 3-4 months to get that billing issue resolved and even then I was stuck paying $10 more a month than I was prior, which they refuse to address. To add to this whole mess, every time you contact customer support you will talk to someone who speaks in broken English so you have trouble understanding them and they seem to have trouble understanding you (which likely is why it takes multiple attempts of talking to customer support to resolve 1 problem). They will also spend half the chat trying to sell you some other promotional deal or service that Xfinity is offering, instead of focusing on helping you resolve your issue.

For xfinity, internet speeds are awesome. Customer service is not. It is very difficult to speak with a real person (all of my attempts resulted in a typed chat at best). The story below details an undeclared, erroneous bill. Business practices in this arena are a bit shady. The primary issue related to customer service resulted after my personally owned Netgear CAX80 malfunctioned into a bricked status. I had extensively searched solutions as well as attempted troubleshooting with netgear support prior to the xfinity service visit . The reason for scheduling the xfinity tech’s visit stemmed from hopes that all was not lost (it’s a router modem priced around $450). The xfinity website made no mention of any charges that applied. Had I been aware of the charge, I never would have scheduled. Following the 5 minute visit with a single service tech, the conclusion echoed all I had previously run through, and this router/modem indeed had bricked. Some time later, I am notified by email of an upcoming bill, indicating the tech’s visit involves a charge of $100. No quote, no disclosure prior, this is surprising news. Following this realization, not much luck resulted from reaching out. Phone calls are automated, and everything gets routed to a live chat or text session. Each active session terminated once it was clear I was interested in a refund. Looking to an xfinity forum for further information, the replies consisted of statements from helpful people and xfinity employees with “you signed a contract that probably had language in it” and “if a tech visits to inspect hardware not belonging to xfinity, the customer gets charged.” Perhaps I breezed over that information in the contract? Even so, this frustrating concept of essentially “purchasing” a service without any idea there was a price tag on the visit carries a bad taste. I definitely wouldn’t have scheduled a visit if the cost was made known. After further looking into this, the pricing information can hardly be counted as “in the contract.” Here is what I discovered and posted in the forum: “ Pricing information is not easy to find. It isn’t even “in” the contract per se. In order to view the applicable information, an imbedded link in the contract must be accessed (redirects to the “xfinity residential services agreement”), where a second imbedded link must be accessed, where three more pathing steps must be taken in order to observe the “residential pricing list” for the customer’s state. Supposing a customer had the wherewithal to know anything about such an obscure pathing, my situation is still in the weeds. A “trouble call” is listed at $50.00 per technician, per hour. The situation described involved one technician for about 5 minutes, yet the charge posted to my account is $100.00.” Responses on the forum went further to then deny the existence of these established pricing agreements…pricing agreements which I had just been informed were the basis of the visit’s charge…which now do not apply…Somehow. It was a good run. After this experience with Xfinity’s customer service, and once my contract ends, I will definitely pursue alternate internet service options. There’s little in the way of customer loyalty or satisfaction when a business is not upfront with costs.

Comcast Xfinity Internet is not as good a value as AT&T. They increase the price of service without warning after you have been with them for a year. They will not reduce their price unless you cancel your service and turn in equipment. Then they beg you to come back for a introductory price. The more loyal you are as a customer the more they charge you they just keep increasing their prices w/o warning. plus the Internet speeds slow way down in the late afternoon until bedtime because they have a lot of traffic and more customers on the network

Have to keep unplugging the system when we get internet not connected notice or a wifi noticed. Had a service call once and he replaced the main box. Checked all the connections inside and outside of the house and said everything was fine. Still have problem with shut downs. We use wifi for our mobile phone service also, so when wifi goes out our phones are down. Have to leave the house until At&t connects. Called several times when you get someone to talk to you it is like talking to a bag of rocks. Keeps running a test and saying it will cost $100.00 for someone to come out. You pay $200.00 +++++ a month for a bag of rocks phone call.
