Charter Spectrum, also known as Spectrum, has been operating since 1993 and is a household name in the United States. The company, which recently merged with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, serves more than six million people, making it the fourth largest cable company and one of the largest in the country.
Charter Spectrum provides internet speeds up to 60 Mbps with no data caps. Its internet service requires a one-year contract.
Spectrum offers services in a huge span of the country, especially compared to other internet service providers.
Charter has been able to grow rapidly in just a few decades, attributing this success in part to its customer service commitment. That commitment involves a fast broadband network and all the tools necessary to meet internet connection needs.
The Charter Spectrum team is willing to help their customers in any way they can to have a positive experience with their company. They offer cable and fiber-optic internet plans.
Spectrum internet doesn't limit its customers with data caps. A lot of competitors have data limits, and when customers go over these limits they pay fees or their services are disrupted. It's a convenience worth looking into, and this feature alone may be what steers you to Spectrum.
The Spectrum internet team knows losing internet service can mean losing time and money. At some point, you'll probably need a technician to come to your home or business to work on network equipment.
Many companies who send out technicians leave the time window wide open and make the customer wait for hours for the technician. Thankfully, Charter Spectrum is different. They set a two hour window that the technician will be there. If the technician does not make the allotted time, Charter Spectrum will pay the customer $20.
They also have a 30-day money-back guarantee their customers can take advantage of if they are not satisfied with their service or the products they receive.
Spectrum offers fiber-optic business internet for companies who want a fast connection for phone, internet, and TV service. Spectrum Enterprise also delivers cloud services for their business customers.
While Spectrum may not have a variety of standalone internet packages, they do have several options that can help you bundle internet, phone service, and cable channels:
While Spectrum does charge a fee to lease a router and another fee for installation, the company is more transparent than some service providers in the industry. Be sure to read contract terms thoroughly and take time to understand billing, your monthly rate, and whether you'll pay more after a certain duration of service.
Most internet service providers try to meet various audience needs by offering many different plans and bundles. These packages usually have a large selection of internet speeds (download and upload speeds), features, and prices to choose from. With all of these options, you're more likely to find the best fit for your specific internet and pricing needs. This is not the case with Spectrum internet, as they only offer their customers one package:
If you're only looking for internet and this package doesn't impress you, you'll need to choose another ISP.
However, you may be interested in Spectrum's internet and cable TV bundling options.
Charter Spectrum offers an internet speed of 60 Mbps. Some competitors offer high-speed internet up to 1 Gbps for slightly higher prices. Potential customers will have to decide what speed they need and if Spectrum internet service is capable of delivering these needs.

They are THE WORST!! It takes forever to reach anyone over the phone, then they pass you back and forth for hours, they don't comply with federal regulations stipulated by the FCC Cable Act and they really don't care, either. They have a monopoly on the market so they do whatever they want. They were overcharging me and it took me MONTHS to get it fixed. I had to go to the attorney general and BBB, which pissed Spectrum off so they began harassing me every day and being abusive!! It's just bad bad bad BAD. Wish I had other options.
There internet speed is not what they say it is, the tv pixalates and now they are gong to stop there 24/7 video cameras for the system they sold me
Speed sometimes drops and it's not as advertise
Pretty fast internet service (good), not always reliable, when it goes down (not that often) hard to contact a real person (bad)
Good speed. Way overpriced, no senior discount
I rated it low because of the cost of this internet service. As a senior on a very very fixed income, they would not budge on what I have to pay. My bill goes up every year, this year it was $20.00/mo. Times that by 12 months, and I get nothing more for the huge increase. Shame on them.
Fast speed and good service. They've taken care of any issue that I had
OVER PRICED and POOR SERVICE...UNLESS I BUNDLE more services... and getting too expensive for this senior.
It is fast, and I've had no problems with it.

There's no reason to upgrade on internet speed because it doesn't matter how much you pay, your internet still runs slow and is unresponsive multiple times a day.
Connection is lost several times a day. Connection can be very slow at times as well.
Service is good not great, and I believe I am charged on the high side
Sometimes slow connection and have to reboot modem.
Fast and reliable internet service. Customer service is good. Only thing i didnt appreciate is they left wires messy when they installed.
Iwish that i could get better price. after the one year of reasonable price they then up the price. it makes me want to shop elsewhere but there isnt another internet provider that offers what they do.
Speeds are not consistent. Freezes happen frequently.
Upgraded my speed to 30 Mips for no cost when it was Brighthouse.
THEY STOP ACCESS WITHOUT WARNING AND OVER CHARGE

Great service but sometimes it has connection issues
Very reliable service. Best value for your money.
Spotty Service in my area and the policies change constantly,
Some issues with customer service and have no option to use this provider.
Signed me up for what they said was the lowest option ($113/mo) then offered $14.99 but ultimately refused me because "only for people who don't have a net plan"
Its works like its supposed to but is way over priced
High rates, unreliable WiFi, inadequate installation
Always on & reliable, routinely tests out to 60+ Mb download speed and no contract terms
Lots of drop and lagging time time. Especially in the evening, I noticed.
Speed is fast and customer service is friendly and helpful.
Don't like company they have gone up in price for money value had gone down won't work with you like old company getting better priced
I had att before spectrum is so much faster . I even upgraded the att and didn't improve speed
The service is generally fine, but sometime it becomes quite slow. I could not find a better alternative; otherwise, I would switch.
I enjoy the fast internet, good customer service and like idea of not tied to a contract.
Too expensive and rude people. Does not matter if you have been a paying customer for 19 yeard
Excellent cust service super fast internet
I thought they were decent, but their internet service often cuts offline at annoying times
I have some issues with installation crew and they are too expensive and don't have the low income plan
Spectrum was very cost effective. Their internet was fast!!!!!!!!! Very few minimal problems that were resolved
It's usually good, but occasionally it seems to slow down and almost lock up at times.
Spectrum, formerly TWC offered a service for Gigabit with an installation fee of 199.00. They had stated that the cost of the installation fee to put in my house was for the Fiber that had to be pulled for the Gigabit service. Ordered on 19th of Jan and they installed on the 28th of Jan. Service tech came and installed a new cable modem and that was it, not pulling of or installing Fiber as was stated for the fee. Called later that night of 28th and told them of what happened and that there was no installation of Fiber as was stated and that it was just the install of a cable modem. Customer service person , Jamie stated that they had a promotion on Jan 23rd to waive installation and that she put it in to have the installation waived for me. Received bill on 10th of Feb to find that the installation was not waived. Called "Customer Support" and they said that the waive was denied by leadership team. Asked to speak to leadership and spoke to Brian. He stated they denied because I agreed to the installation fee at the time before they had the promotional installation waive and that even though the installation was done after the start of promotional waive, it was not going to be honored. Very poor customer service from "leadership team" not even willing to work with a long standing customer from legacy. Not the most professional way to keep customers with their bait and switch tactic. They knew they were gonna have the promotion even when I ordered, but did not tell me so they can bring up the "you agreed to the installation charge". Do not trust Spectrum and if you are customer currently go somewhere else.
Slow and poor range. Technology is also not up to date with competition. No offer to have service cover entire address.
bad customer service and high cost, poor quality service
They are more interested in money than providing reliable service. After a power failure my service did not activate when power was restored. I was told that only if I returned 1400 miles from my seasonal home to provide access to the inoperative equipment could my service be repaired. In the interim I was given the option of continuing to pay or close my account. I decided to close my account. I was told I could return their equipment when I returned. Less than a month later I received a large bill for their equipment, even though I had been a subscriber for over 15 years .
Their high speed is no different than their low speed. Spectrum practices are horrible. Since taking over TWC we have a higher bill and less channels.

Service is way too Expensive. But they hold a monopoly for speed in my area.
generally great speed and very little issues or downtime
This internet service has been very dependable...better than I had with FIOS
William L Scott
Good service but a little pricey after initial offer.
Intermittent reception and often have to reprogram :(
They give me 16 megabits over then what my parents pay for.
It's way better then at&t and the speed is pretty good
