When there is a family member with a walker or wheelchair the garage door opener becomes essential. Unfortunatetly, our insurance didn't agree. My cousin reminded me to call in our HSC plan and we were all back to moving around fairly quickly thereafter. The microwave was really acting funny. It would only run for a few seconds then stop. The Home Service Club already had an idea of what the problem was over the phone. The tech checked the touch pad and there was a short in it. He fixed the issue and it's as good as new.

I turned on the garbage disposal and nothing. There was absolutely nothing. I know nothing about them so I called The Home Service Club and they had a guy out quickly. He diagnosed the problem as a burned out motor and said he'd have the new one in and working in an hour. He did and what a relief.

My water heater went out on a Friday and I filed a claim. Unfortunately the contractor was unavailable, but I was able to work with an excellent customer service supervisor who authorized us to use pick someone ourselves and let us know what would be needed to get reimbursed. I had HSC for over 4 years and moved in May of 2017, a couple days after I had moved I called them to update my information. After giving them my new address I was told everything was up to date. In September of 2017 my A/C unit went out and I call to file my first claim with them, but instead was told that since I had moved my warranty would need to be re written and the claim would not be covered because it was now pre existing. I was mad but understood that the person I had spoke with in May must have been misinformed so I said that's fine just refund me back to May of 2017 since nothing would have been covered. Then today, 10/4/17 I received a phone call from them saying they wouldn't refund my money! I can only assume that if they don't want to give me back what they didn't deserve as they would not have covered a claim for me, that the claims practice must be an absolute nightmare! Go with a better company like American Home Shield, I had them before HSC and had two claims that went smooth and when I left I actually got a prorated refund and just switched back. Save the headache!

HSC has a really good warranty. When my dishwasher leaked a little on to the floor, I called them for help with my warranty to service my dishwasher. They arranged for a service tech to come over. He was on time and did a great job. It is working well now and I was only responsible for my deductible.

We purchased a policy with the Home Service Club after buying our new home. A few months later we started having problems with the plumbing. All three toilets wouldn't flush and there was a strange, unpleasant odor coming from them. I called HSC and they were quite helpful. A professional came to the house and after his initial inspection told us that the repairs would've cost a fortune had we not had our policy! It took him a week, but the issues were fixed.

I'm trying to understand how all these other reviews are so positive considering the issues I am currently having with them. I would also like to know how this company feels they have you covered when they won't respond to their customers after 5pm or on the weekend. I paid my premium no fail for two years and the first time I tried to put a claim in they completely failed in more ways that one. They have quite the racket going... they don't respond to any requests outside of business hours yet will not reimburse you if you need running water or heat and pay out of your pocket for the repair. Don't throw your money away on this company.

I had a doorbell for years that I didn't know about. Had an HSC plan for years that I didn't need, until one day a knife sales person tried to ring that doorbell I didn't know I had. It buzzed. Then it made a sound similar to a dying animal and it died. HSC got someone out to handle it fast. Now, I actually use the doorbell. It chimes instead of whines.

New neighbors can be so friendly and free with advice. The advice I heard in our new neighborhood the most was to have more coverage than your homeowners insurance offers. I shopped around and found HSC. Their help picking out the best plan made this whole process worth it. We've used it twice since buying it and that was one of the smoothest parts of owning this home.

I was wondering what my HSC plan was really for. I had encountered a problem with the renter's insurance one time while I was renting, so after seeing the basics and buying the plan, I called them. I may have spoken to the really nice woman on the phone for about an hour. She answered a lot of questions, helped me understand how best to use the plan, and when. She also shared a good secret for keeping my washer in good repair. Never once did I feel rushed or uncomfortable or like any of my questions didn't matter.

After buying my brother's house for him, he and his family lived there for a few more years. They left me the washer and dryer set they had been using. With a lot of children, you konw it got a lot of wear and tear. A week after I moved in they both broke. My brother had been paying for the HSC comprehensive as part of our original agreement for my buying the house in that sitaution. One phone call later and everything was setup.

Calling around to find the right handy man to do the repair job on a washer turned out to be unnecessary. We had picked up this plan but I forgot about it until I needed it. The agent I called took care of the whole process and a few days later I was washing laundry at home again. Buy it. Don't forget you have it. Use it. It is totally worth doing.

When my double oven broke I didn't even know it could be repaired. I was expecting to have to replace it. Not a horrible thing, just expensive when you've got a family. thankfully I knew who to call for a good contractor for the installation and they told me it might not need to be repaired. A part was orderd, the oven was fixed and all for less than the cost of a new one! I'm so glad I bought the HSC plan.

If you do not have an extended home warranty with the Home Service Club yet, you should get one. My AC was covered when it pooped out this past summer It wound up being replaced because it was just older and dead. I only paid my deductible and we were nice and cool again. We really like HSC and will be renewing.

I am SO glad I have a home warranty! The water on my spa wasn't getting hot enough and the pump was making a loud noise. I spoke with Libby who was able to send a contractor out that specialized in home spas. The gentlemen, whose name is Craig, explained to me that the there was a low flow from the pump, which was why the water was not getting hot. He explained the reason behind the noise was because the bearing needed to be replaced. Craig had one in his truck and he took care of it.

HSC has so many great plans and coverage. We chose our plan and it fits right in our monthly budget. We always have a home warranty because you never know what can happen at anytime. When my jetted tub went kaput, I called for help. The service man came over on time and fixed it for me. I sit in that every day and I was panicking, but I am happy in my tub again.

Once when I needed to call in my HSC warranty I was cut off on the phone call. I learned when I called back they were dealing with a similar horrible storm. Despite this, their representative was generous about their time and good about helping resolve my problem. I bought a Re-Pro-Basic plan and a few months later incidentally, our water heater went out, and none of us like showering in cold water so we had to go to my Mom's house to shower. I called and the company sent someone who promply fixed our heater and did a really good job because it hasn't recurred again ever since. Thank you!

When my kitchen drain was clogged it started backing up from one side of the sink to the other. I used one of the super air cylinders to try to clear the clog. Wrong move. I called for service through my home warranty company, Home Service Club. They repaired all of the damage that a home-fix-it person should not mess with. I know I will renew my plan.

The dryer broke. I had to hang clothes but with three teenage girls it was it was a lot of work. I scheduled my appointment online. It was pretty easy to do. When the tech guy got here he fixed the problem. It did take a very long to fix. He cleaned up after himself. I thought he did a good job and I am glad to have my dryer back.

I have used my Home Service warranty plan several times over the past couple of years. They send different contractors or tech guys depending on the problem. I have always been pretty happy with the work since repairs were always complete. But the last guy that they sent went above and beyond what I thought I had on my plan. I don't know how they choose their contractors but whatever screening they do it has always been a great experience.

My best friend spent time trying to recover after a tornado struck her home. She was always helping others but she didn’t have a warranty and for some of the damage, her insurance didn’t cover it. Several of us in her neighborhood pulled together to help her and the others affected by the storm. Thankfully, there weren’t many others. Once she was restored though, I bought her two-year warranty with HSC. Appliances that weren’t initially affected by the storm directly were covered when they wore down. It has been nice to see she was able to get things done with less stress since. A little peace of mind goes a long way.
