It has been a pretty positive experience working with choice home warranty overall though sometimes it takes a long time to get someone out to address the problem depending the equipment. We had to have the refrigerator replaced and the max cap was eleven hundred dollars and it cost roughly three thousand. Also I have dealt with a few people who made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them.

The price is pretty reasonable. They didn’t raise the rates when we renewed it. We actually get a free visit. We’ve had three issues and they’ve gotten some one out really quick to fix it. It took a while for the last one because of corona virus because everyone is busy, it took a week and a wlf to get the leak fixed.

Their copay is reasonable for the amount of services they provide. I wish there were a couple of more options and more vendors to choose from but they are responsive and process claims quickly. My only issues is they kept sending me the same vendor that I requested they not send me because for a couple of things they were not good. It took a while to get someone to come out the last time I needed them when I had water all over my floor and the man they eventually did send out was very young and didn’t know what he was doing and was hard to get a hold of. That was very frustrating. That is the only problem I’ve had with hem. Otherwise they have been very good.

I need to use my warranty to have my air conditioner fixed and they were unable to find a tech in the area. They did say they would be willing to use one that I could find in this area and they would take the bill and I would have to submit to them for approval and I would pay them and they would reimburse me for based on what the fee is worth.

They try to take care of everything. It takes two days to get service, but when they came out here the repairman was real good. "We were with American home shield I was very unhappy with them and so I started researching and I saw that Choice Warranty was another option, so I decided that we would try them. When we had some issues, we asked them to have a specific company come out to do our repairs and they wanted to pick the person that they wanted. I thought they would allow us to choose the one we wanted and I think that's kind of important. The only problem that I do have with Choice Warranty is the fact that there's not enough people to take the calls."

The service is been pretty good. With Covid, responses back to the email are sometimes a little slow but we did get eventually get the help that we needed. After a couple of days being in the house the refrigerator broke so we had to get somebody that used Choice Home Warranty to come out. Once we finally found somebody that would agree to look at it, it was too much to repair so we had to get a new refrigerator.

It has been my experience that the technician they send try to find things that would exclude an appliance or system from coverage; often claiming that a problem is caused by some part of the unit that is not covered. It is a roll of the dice whether it will be covered and you have to pay the service fee for someone to do the diagnosis only to tell you that your appliance or system had a malfunction that is not covered by warranty. I was told that my AC unit was not old enough to have a problem; an AC unit that was 14 years and 10 months old. They said it needed to be 15 years old. The tech claimed that the compressor shorted out but the compressor is still working, just not efficiently which is why I filed the claim in the first place. Another time a broken tank on a toilet was alleged to be a problem with a flange. Yet to see an item that is actually covered.

I wasn’t happy with the last company I had so I switched. It’s all been positive. I have no complaints. The price is good. Sometimes it is hard to get things fixed right away because I live in a smaller area, that is my only complaint. but when my dishwasher was leaking they set someone up to fix it in a few days.

It's a good company to go with. I have recommended to several people. It’s not the absolute best customer service but it has worked out for me and for the most part everything has gone smoothly. I had an issue with my stove and the repair man actually ended up causing more damage to it. I had issue getting it replaced but eventually the decided to give me a few hundred bucks. I had used them before for my AC and the company they sent for that was phenomenal. Most things the service has been fairly decent and they stand behind things.

Occasionally when I call customer service, they are hurried and not friendly. I don’t think they give enough allowance to fix things properly, for example I paid eighteen hundred dollars for a cook top and they would only gave me five hundred dollars to but the some other brand. I was pleasantly surprised when I filed a claim on the weekend for the toilet and they got someone out on Monday.

They’ve covered a lot of the general problems we’ve had over the years. Recently my dryer stopped heating and Choice Home Warranty got a technician out the next day and he repaired the problem. Every time I call, my problem is resolved.
