Does Choice Home Warranty have a plan that allows an insured to just renew at the same price as the initial plan? Our plan is $1,000 for 3 years but what Choice is offering us is considerably more expensive. Our service cost fee is $45 but that fee is much higher with the new plan policy. Please check the numbers for a renewal & let me know what the cost to renew is. I have had my policy for 5+ years & when I renewed after 3 years the initial cost did not increase. Thank you

made claim-was sent email from choice stating service person will arrive Appointment Date: Friday May 19th 2023 Appointment Time: 11:00 AM -03:00 PM NO ONE showed up, no contact with me at all- wasted a day off work waiting -I called the service people-they said (On the saturday) they only just got the notice from Choice a couple hours before they called me. and the guy came Monday - said it was city code and he couldn't do anything at all not even change the part out-and it cost me $85 (On top of lost days wages) -not happy at all -will probably cancel Choice

Reply time is too long via the app. I send a message and it takes a day to get a response. I have only had to actually use the service once and the service provider was good. But I don’t think chw monitors messages in a timely manner. My first service request was very confusing and chw sent two different providers for something I had sent a message to cancel the call completely

I had issues, they scheduled the appointment but the contractors didn't show up and I reached out to the company and they tried to put me on hold. Even Choice was not able to get them. They reassigned to another contractor and followed up on that. Great customer support.

For the most part they've been great. Sometimes they don't cover what I think they should cover. I suppose if I did more research on the policy, I would have known that before I called. They've been great though. We had a refrigerator issue. There was a there was a leak in the line that goes to the ice maker. We knew the leak was coming from the refrigerator but didn't know where. So we called and they came and they replaced that little tiny line that goes to the ice maker and repaired it. They did an excellent job.

I've been really pleased. I did a claim on Saturday night online and by Sunday morning I already got some correspondence saying they were going to come in on Monday. They responded on the weekend. Twice they came and they weren't there more than a few minutes and they took care of both things.

I had a chance to go visit them with what I thought was a complaint and they cleared it up completely and showed me that they were a trustworthy and honorable company. My furnace or air conditioning made a very loud squeak. And initially someone told me there that I was not qualified for the warranty. I actually stopped at the headquarters and I talked to the the manager and then he brought out his HVAC specialist who was terrific and he said no, we made an initial mistake on yours, we'll cover it. And he told me exactly what was wrong and it was a bearing going bad and it was totally fixed to my complete satisfaction.

They get the qualified people out here to do what has to be done. Just recently I had a plumbing problem. The toilet was leaking. I wasn't sure if it was plugged up or if it needed a new ring or whatever. The fellow came out and after investigation he pulled the toilet and discovered the wax ring had gone bad and he was able to replace it on the spot and put the toilet back together. All the people that they send out here are very knowledgeable and have fixed my problems.

I'm legally blind and sometimes it's a little bit of a hassle to file a claim. When my dishwasher died someone came in, he looked at it, he did what he could and it still wasn't working. So they said they were going to replace it and they said okay, we'll give you the price of what we can get the unit for. Which meant for a $500 dishwasher, they gave me $129.

I had to use it a month ago and gentlemen came out very promptly. Assessed the situation and had to order a part. The part came in in three days. No problem all good. Scheduled for the reinstall a week later, they cancelled that and scheduled it for the next day. They cancelled that and scheduled it out for three more weeks and I couldn't get to talk to anyone. So it's still not fixed and we're now into the fifth week and you can't get hold of anyone. It just goes around and around and around. No response, no service, nothing. I tried to cancel the whole contract because of my first experience and I couldn't even do that.

I've had a microwave worked on, it needed a new board and it was replaced, although it took some time to get the board. The same thing with our oven, the display computer had to be replaced and same thing happened there. It just took a little time to get the parts. There are some things that I thought were covered that apparently were not, so I was declined in some repairs.

I've had two experiences with them and they they both were very good. So as of now, I'm pleased with them. I'm happy that I chose Choice as my warranty company. I had a refrigeration problem and when I called them and a couple hours later someone had been assigned to my claim and then someone from the office that the technician their office called me to let me know exactly when they would be coming. They called me back to say that they would be there on the 21st, between 8 and 3 or whatever. So the technicians came out, they did what they needed to do, and I was pleased.

Over the entire entire time I've had choice I have only had one or two issues, but generally pretty good overall. My air conditioner wasn't working. I had had maintenance done on it the week before and put in. Guy came within two days, and it was a very quick turnaround. Had the parts on his car and got it fixed in his truck. Overall it's been really good. It was just one technician that was not good.

I use my warranty for my furnace all the time because it breaks all the time and no one's saying that I need a new one and it's over 20 years old. So until they do, I can't get a new one. I've had probably 20 people come for the furnace in about 3 years. I had a complaint about a certain person coming to fix something. They still send the same guy back.

It's not horrible, but it's not the best either. I think it can definitely improve. I called for my my hot tub recently and they didn't cover the hot tub. Meanwhile I purchased the extra coverage for that. I called this last week for my air ducts. I had a leak in my air ducts and the technician came and he found that the damper motor was hanging and they rejected that claim. You should be compensated for something that you're paying for.

Quality of service is great. If something can't be fixed, I have to replace it and because of depreciation I get a certain amount, but at the same time some has got to come out of my pocket. My air conditioner went out, I called it in and they got somebody here in a timely fashion and they got it fixed within that week.

I got the appointment and everything was very good. Another issue is the A/C and there is a problem with the the company which is providing service, not the Choice Home Warranty. The the vendor who is doing the work for a Choice Warranty, I did not see a good service from them.

Communicating with your customer service was difficult. Finding a technician to come to my house was difficult. The first technician that was scheduled was a no call no show. When the technician did show up and identify the service needed, he called the service department to get it authorized and no one would answer the phone. He left a message and it took someone two hours to call back. Wasting both the technicians time in my time. ended up taking me three weeks to get my problem resolved, and it was a very frustrating affair.

On May 5th, I filed claim #197302761 for my AC unit, which stopped blowing cold air. A technician from 72 Degrees Services visited on May 8th and determined that the AC unit needed to be replaced. Choice Home Warranty approved the replacement of the condenser on May 9th, but I was informed that I would be responsible for paying $596.25 for the evaporator coils. Additionally, due to that I have a R22 refrigerant unit, they stated that an upgrade to a newer system would be required, at an additional cost of $1760 since R22 units are no longer manufactured. When I contacted the technician to request a breakdown of the costs, their response was both rude and unprofessional. They refused to provide the information and abruptly ended the call. Not only that, I found out that the technician left the condenser panel open. Didn't even bother to close it. Despite my numerous attempts, I was unable to reach them. Frustrated, I contacted Choice Home Warranty to request a cost breakdown, but they explained that they did not have access to the information at that time. Consequently, they escalated the claim to a case manager on May 12th. Finally, on May 18th, I had a conversation with the assigned case manager, Dielliavissia S. She assured me that she would obtain an itemized cost list and arrange for the technician to come back and close the condenser panel. However, as of May 24th, no progress has been made in obtaining the breakdown or resolving the open panel issue. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of action and follow-through. Furthermore, when I requested that another company be assigned to address the issue, considering my negative experience with the technician from 72 Degrees Services, my request was unfortunately denied. Moreover, prior to purchasing the policy, Choice Home Warranty explicitly assured me that they would replace my AC unit in the event of a malfunction. However, they now insist that, due to the age of my unit, I am required to pay $2,356.25 for a replacement, which I find to be an unreasonable amount. It is disheartening that if I bought a product ten years ago and it breaks, with the same model no longer available, I should be expected to shoulder half of the replacement cost. This raises the question of the purpose of buying a warranty if they initially promised a complete replacement of the air conditioning system. Learn from my experience, and stay away from them!!!

I tried for 5 days to get a live person on the phone with your company and I couldn’t reach a single human being! Your customer service sucks!! I wish I could cancel my contract with you all!! Five days with out a repair because your computers were down is unacceptable! Five days no air conditioning! Your customer service is the worst!!! My technician deserves to work for better people!!
