My service request has not been fulfilled as yet. The first appointment is still two days away, so this review seems a little premature. However, I can say that the process of filing my claim was extremely easy and that the appointment was made within 12 hours of my filing the request. That all seems quite efficient to me. I only hope the actual repair/replacement will be as efficiently handled. That remains to be seen.

They were unable to get a service person to come work on my electrical system so they gave me the option of finding my own repair man. I did find a repair man and if I work through the paperwork appropriately they will reimburse me for the work that he will do. The customer service representative so I have spoken with on the phone have been helpful and courteous.

My technician was so courteous and respectful! He had to order a part for my refrigerator which took several days to get. I was notified today that the part was in and that he would come today to fix my fridge. He said it would be between 5:00 - 7:00 pm. It was a little later than that, but he did show up, fixed the problem speedily, and left my house at 8:32 pm. That is working above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks Choice Home Warranty and thanks to the wonderful technician you sent to fix my problem.

This warranty is good for small problems. But when the bigger issues come along (air conditioning, heating system) Choice isn't so great. Had A/C problems last summer. The Choice tech advised that he couldn't do anything to repair and it wasn't covered because we had not call Choice for yearly service; said the compressor was bad because of lack of maintenance. So, we called a local company and their technician came and was able to repair the system and had it running within an hour. The Choice tech had, in his efforts, put parts back incorrectly. Recently we had a problem with our boiler/heating leaking from the overflow vent. The Choice tech came out and said he could not repair it and that the entire boiler would have to be taken apart to fix the problem. Also, he didn't have time to do such a large project. He suggested we wait until spring to have it repaired even though we had water leaking in the garage and had to empty the container that was catching the drips a couple times a day. SO, again we called the same local company; and the problem is now fixed. Several parts were replaced and the fix completed in timely manner; and water is no longer leaking! So for dryers, washers, etc and small electrical jobs Choice has been fine. BUT.... we wouldn't recommend them to friends because of our experiences with the major repairs. The service charge is very reasonable, but that doesn't help when we have to call on other professionals for the larger problems.

Online request was very easy. Received notice of an appointment within an hour. The plumbing technician, Douglas, of All Pro Plumbing was very knowledgeable and resolved our issue of whistling pipes in less than 30 minutes. This is the second time we've called CHW (different issues) and we've been exceptionally pleased with their service and the technicians they've sent.

I have no used the service yet as I've just started and there is a 30 day wait to be able to file a claim. I do like the way your representative explained the service and helped me set up a plan for my residence and for the one I own that my daughter lives in. I pricing was excellent and your rep was very smooth in the way he explained the benefits and his attention to details. I hope we don't need the service often, but I do have an older home and some of the issues that go along with it. Your rep was well trained and experienced.

After breaking everything down and comparing it to what we have now and why we should spend just a couple more dollars. This service call provided us with a educated service person to check out why our washing machine wasn’t working correctly. After speaking with him I found that he’d been servicing Appliences for 17 year’s. Well done Unfortunately Choices Warranty provided a settlement for us to purchase another washer and I believe the amount is expectable. We have had other settlements on appliences that we felt were low, I guess these settlement amount come based upon current values including how old that applience are. Last, the previous settlement check took much longer to receive than they stated it would.

I have had other warranty company that sent unqualified people out so it means alot to have professional companies service my issues. I live in the country so it can be difficult to get service people. Everyone at Choice has been helpful and polite. I highly recommend Choice Warranty.

From the beginning of the call till the end Carter was very informative and courteous and helped me get a plan for me. The best in the business! 24/7 service, and they truly understand an emergency service request. The technicians came right on time, within 3 hours of my online request, were very thorough in their investigation of my HVAC unit niy problem, changed the capacitator, did room temp check in every nook and corner, cleaned the unit, replaced the filter, and left my home in all smiles! That is why I signed up for a 3 year contract as a customer!! Thank you for excellent services rendered.

In two years time, we have used our warranty service 3 times -- HVAC not turning on, garage door opener, and yesterday icemaker not dispensing ice. All three times Choice Warranty has sent out excellent servicemen, and being new to our area, I would not have known whom to call! Life is so much simpler with a home appliance warranty even if I don't get in return the full amount spent for the year's contract.

My recent experience was not good. CHW needs to implement a system to be able to take care of an emergency. My furnace quit working Friday morning December 18, 2020. I called CHW and opened a claim. About an hour an a half later I received notification that someone would be here on Monday, December 21. I live in Colorado and can't be without heat in the winter time for 3 days. I called CHW again and explained my situation. They said they would reassign the claim. A couple hours went by and I heard nothing. So with the temperature under 60 degrees I made a decision to call a local furnace shop. The first one I called said they could have someone here in an hour. It was less than an hour and the technician showed up and fixed the furnace to the tune of over $300. Mark Gadbury Fort Collins, CO

George from House Calls LLC was right on time, courteous, and knowledgeable about CHW and my garage door opener that was not working properly. After diagnosing the situation he called CHW and was authorized to replace the system. He had it on board and did a perfect job installing and explaining the equipment. I called this morning for an issue for both my dishwasher and brand new ice maker in my freezer that got froze up since the Oklahoma freeze.. they already had a technician coming out today to look at both. I was on hold for less than 3 min. Emails and text and calls started coming in non-stop, verifying someone was on the way and what to expect.

I need a repair to my refrigerator over the thanksgiving holiday. I was able to call & start the process. Because of the holiday it was tough to find a service person who was available. They offered to pay if I found a repair company. Which I did but they couldn’t come for 7 days. In the meantime Choice notified me & someone come out in 4 days. I had a great experience.

I’ve used this service since 2017 for various repairs and have not been disappointed with the outcomes. Each time a service technician was contacted in a reasonable amount of time and I was notified with the needed information as to who I could expect to come out to correct the issue. The technicians have been courteous and respectful of my home and knowledgeable of their trade. There is no limit for service requests, which I love because I have a home that’s over 23 years old & things are always needing repairs or replacements. Having CHW has saved me a lot of money and worry.

This was my first claims request since signing up for the service! My garbage disposal was leaking and it was as old as my house 8 year old, the service provider that they out came within the 30 mins of the 3 hour window and I was able to upgrade the actual product for an extra $27 instead of just having the builder grade disposal. Then he said if anything was wrong with it call him and he comes back for free!!! So far I'm having a way better experience than I did with my previous company!

The Lafayette repair gentlemen were great and kept me informed as to their arrival. However, your company emailed me the totally wrong day and time for the repair. Luckily I called Lafayette and they confirmed the appointment and time they had given me previously. Especially since the repair required me to turn of my refrigerator for 24 hours. I signed up for this service around March 2020. I put in my first claim for a garbage disposal replacement in October 2020. The claims submission process was fairly easy. Choice got back to me quickly and the outside vendor was scheduled about 2 weeks later (understandable given the pandemic and that it was not an emergency). The repairman came and replaced the disposal. The process was convenient and easy. No waiting on hold for an hour. So far, I am happy with this home warranty.

This was my first request for a repair. The process was easy, my issue was for a gas fireplace wall switch that no longer worked. I couldn't find a category that covered it so I tried electrical, Sam the tech was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately he couldn't find or fix the problem without taking the fireplace apart which neither of us felt comfortable with, there were rivits not screws that could not be replaced. When he put in a request to do that it was determined that it was not covered under the warranty. I hope in the future I don't run into the same problem. Overall I was satisfied with them for now.

My refrigerator went out and I used the online claims submittal process. I was very easy to do and the response was quick. CHW contacted a repair service who originally scheduled my appointment 5 days out. The repair service then called and rescheduled a day earlier than previously scheduled. I know CHW has no control over appointments but if a somewhat critical system goes out over a weekend they should do more to get it operational sooner. In my case it would not have mattered as the refrigerator ended up not repairable.

The sales person was nice and polite . He took his time to go over everything about the insurance with me . I called them after seeing their ad on the internet. He called as soon as I typed my phone number into the computer . He gave me a good deal since I am a senior citizen . I think I will be satisfied with this company. I just did business with them a couple hours ago . I just took the representative’s word as to who they are and what they will do . They seem to be a good company.

The Appliance Squad who we’ve had service us several times is excellent. Unfortunately we have a refrigerator that has not been repaired fully. Appliance Squad told us to try a different company which we did. Choice Home sent Ashley Appliance to do the work. That person came out and said he would order the part as had been replaced twice before. We waited a month and finally I called him and he said he had the part. He was very unprofessional and belligerent. We agreed he would not come out and make the repair. So at this point we have a refrigerator that does not cool properly and we have paid him $85.00 without any service. This same gentlemen had nothing good to say about Choice Home. Really bad mouthed the home. So I’m not pleased with our overall experience with Choice Home which is what I’ll tell anyone I talk to.

As soon as I got on the website to obtain a quote, I was called with a solicitation to purchase a home warranty. While that was quite aggressive, I did end up taking the offer. The price was negotiated to where we could afford it (senior citizens & veterans) and the terms fit our needs. The rep was friendly, patient, and understanding of our needs with our secondary home. We hope to have a great service experience throughout our 3.5 year contract.

The problem was resolved! But the technician did not arrive in the specified time window. I've worked service jobs like this and often the guys get appointments that run long and it is understandable. Also when we called the customer rep was very friendly and helpful. The only recommendation is that we receive a closer window as the day goes on. We had to have a family member watch the house early in the morning which was not necessary. Overall the problem was solved and was very easy for us to set up. The technician definitely worked hard and diagnosed the problem and solved our issue!

I have three Choice Home Warranty policies covering our primary residence and two rental properties. In the past year I have submitted claims for two claims, the most recent a couple days ago at my own residence. In the latter case, which involved a plumbing leak in the house wall, the plumber was assigned within about 12 hours of my claim submission. The plumber arrived on schedule, and repaired the leak satisfactorily in less than an hour.

I first read an This Old House article comparing a few companies. It looked as though Choice would be 'best'. So I went to website and couldn't really find any info unless I filled out name, then email, then phone - and all of a sudden, immediately, my phone started ringing. I wasn't ready to take any calls from Choice, so I disconnected the call. The phone rang again from Choice. Then again from Choice! How annoying. So, once I felt ready to speak to someone, I called. Was surprised to be given higher service fee rates than the This Old House article. And the Annual amount was on the high end as well - but then I was "given a discounted rate". Frustrating. But so is the competitive sales world I suppose. i'm glad I do not work in it - because i don't even like this end of it! Greg was polite, and quick - efficient. Friendly. Respectful of my Vet status.

I have been with Choice for 3 years- they have been prompt to answer my requests and when possible I have been connected with the servicer very quickly. I do have to say that not all the servicers sent to me were very reliable, and on one occasion actually made things worse but Choice was ready and willing to make up for it. The renewal process was very agreeable and the agent did everything possible to make it affordable for me. I am confident I have made the right choice to renew with Choice Home Warranty for another 3 years.

Had a difficult situation with AC unit am having a infant in the home. Choice handled the situation with in a timely manner. Even with having a difficult time with the first company that was sent. Choice remained extremely professional.Reassigned is to a new company an was fixed within two weeks for a tenth of the price that the AC unit would have costed myself. An now with my fridge going out not even a week later we already have a appointment with a company to come asses the situation. I will continue to use Choice for the next 40 years!!!!

Maybe, if there is a next time, a little heads-up on someone being dispatched. The garage door opener became inoperable the Tuesday evening. Choice warranty was notified and told of the situation. I was told I would be receiving a phone call from the vendor. When I spoke with a representative of the company, I was told some one would be there in two days, between 2 o'clock and 3 o'clock pm. Thursday arrives and 2:00 pm rolls around to 3:00 pm, no one has shown. 4 o'clock chimes and in the driveway I see a white work truck pull in. Two gentlemen exit the vehicle. The driver says they are there to repair the garage door. The two men begin the job , then 15 minutes later the job is complete, and, all it cost me was the recommended $65.00 service fee. Much to my surprise and delight, this didn’t turn out to be true! It was so easy to put in a claim! Then when I heard from your company so quickly I was shocked. You contacted the service person for me and even though I had to reschedule his visit because of my vacation, he came quickly. The day after I got back actually. I have been a customer for over 6 years now. Had about 3 claims since and each time they were very responsive to my issues. Although it’s an additional bill knowing that I have Choice Home Warranty, I feel at ease to know that if something breaks, I know I can rely on them to fix it. My only concern: Some businesses in the network should be vetted. I have heard stories from my referrals and I had a similar incident. Not everyone is knowledgeable or is specialized in areas.

I was so amazed at the level of service I received from CHW for a claim on my washing machine. I called with a claim on Monday, by the end of the day, I was contacted by a Sears technician who made an appointment to check my washer out on Wednesday of the same week. He was extremely courteous,, knowledgable and efficient. Diagnosed and fixed my problem super fast. I was so impressed that this was handled without stress on myself, and all the work was was done by CHW and the repairman. Wise choice I made in choosing Choice Home Warranty (lol)! Thank you.

I got a technician in to look at my oven within hours of calling about my problem. The young man was neat and wore a mask. He was friendly and ready to listen to me about my problem. He went right in to diagnose the problem. He ordered my parts and collected the payment. I am hoping that he will be returning to place the new part and get me back working!
