The last time we we try to get our washing machine fixed they sent somebody out and the guy misdiagnosed the problem and he drug out the process, for months, we couldn't get an answer so finally we got Choice to send somebody else out and then we had a lot of trouble getting the thing adjusted because we've already paid the money for the other guy that didn't fix it but we finally got all straightened out but it's a lengthy process. Some technicians are very good and some just not. We're probably looking for another company right now some are little more dependable.

Usually I have gotten a prompt response from them with a technician coming out to the house within 24 hours. My only problem is when a technician comes out and does not have all the tools they need to fix the problem that day and they have to come out again. This can be inconvenient.

I submitted a claim that was accepted and scheduled for a week later with a 4 hour window. The day and time came and went with no communication at all and was not able to reach anyone at the tech nations number. When I asked to reschedule with someone who had a narrower window and that would schedule on a day I was available I was sent a technician with a 8 hour window and no one I was able to talk to so I cancelled and am living with the problem

We have had 2 experiences with Choice Home Warranty. (1) The first was a runny toilet, a leaky bathroom faucet, and a bathroom faucet that was sticking. It took CHW 3 visits over 3 weeks to fix the toilet, an "upcharge" of $65 was billed us to match one facet, and a very cheap model of faucet was installed for the other faucet. Very disappointing. Our second experience is happening now. Our washer stopped working. CHW said they wouldn't reapiar it, but offered us #343 toward a new washer in the form of Lowe's gift cards. We went to Lowe's & found that a comparable model would cost between $750-900 to buy. We have appealed their disappointing offer. In the meantime, we purchased another washer at another store. The appeal wisn't scheduled until next week. CHW is certainly not timelt in their response and we feel their offer was totally insuffient to meet the needs of the situation. cet, and a bathromm faucet that was sticking. It took CHW 3 trips to fix the runny toilet

Home choice send me a gift card for lowes 343. 00 customer service said it will take one month before I will receive the gift card one month is to long to wait for it so we when to Lowe's open up a account in my mind how to use to gift card my wife asking me every day have the card came yet so I receive the the card from my email to print out I don't have a printer so we went to show them my email Lowe's said I cannot use the gift card to pay credit card the plan I had in my use the gift card pay the balance in full cancel the lowes card now I will still pay the credit card off cancel my Lowes credit card now I got a Lowes gift card that I don't need this my second choice home warranty contract I used the 4 month plan deal contract

Our washer could not be fixed. What I understood is that it would be replaced with a new one. Their initial offer made by the company was for about half of what was needed to buy a new machine, I was upset to say the least. They them came back with another offer which covered about 2/3rds of the cost. I`ve thought for the past three years I was in good hands, wrong, very dissapointing. Going to him close canceled and I was never told and I was waiting for them there is a discrepancy between who says who canceled it I just know I didn't. Next there is so much fine print and you think people aren't going to see it but after they purchase you they do know that you got all sorts of qualifications.. I had a ice tray that snapped off and you refused to fix it because you said somebody broke it and went to get ice & it broke. Not from anything I did. It never worked right and it must be putting in an angle or something like that cause it just broke and you wouldn't pay for it . It's taking you too long to find repairman for me and there's more.

After we bought the policy we found out there were a lot addendums that were not covered which was really frustrating. We have a lot of issues with our house and we thought these things would be covered but they are not. When the plumber came to evaluate an issue with a leaky faucet, our claim was denied. We have to go through extraordinary means to get approved. It is not easy like it was made out to be. I am not pleased I have to dispute every claim. They only help after we threaten to pull our contract. We really don't know what is covered. I feel like I got the wool pulled over my eyes. I got ripped off. Go with another company.

Our kitchen faucet disconnected itself from the water supply line under the kitchen sink. We called Choice and they set up an appointment for two days later. My husband fixed it as best he could in the meantime. The plumber called and rescheduled for an earlier time. That was fine. He came and looked at the situation and said we needed a new faucet, but had to get approval from Choice to replace it. Then my husband was informed by telephone that it was going to cost us an extra $25.00 to replace the faucet with the same finish (brushed chrome) that we currently had. He agreed to pay that. When the plumber arrived, he installed the new faucet and told me the extra cost was $68.00. I paid it, but I looked up the cost of the faucet at Home Depot and found it costs $68.00. Also, in looking at our credit card statement it appears we paid $67.00 to the same plumbing company as a service call fee. Per our policy with Choice, that fee is supposed to be $65.00, not $67.00. So we paid for the entire cost of the faucet, plus a $67.00 service call. The faucet looks and works okay, but the flow of water is uneven and "splashes" the bottom of the sink. I think the aerator isn't working properly. All in all I found this experience unsatisfactory. I will not be renewing our Choice policy. Will go back to First American Home Warranty.

We contacted Choice Warranty in July when our A/C went out. The technician they sent out replaced the control board and installed it incorrectly. When we turned on the furnace in November it wouldn't blow heat. Choice sent out a different company and the technician found that the previous company had incorrectly installed the control board not allowing the heater to work properly. Choice Warranty denied the furnace claim "we don't cover incorrectly installed parts". They graciously offered to pay half of my repair. We paid the technician to do a complete inspection of the system for our benefit. He found that the heat exchanger has an issue which makes the system unsafe to use due to high CO2 levels. Choice Warranty has denied this claim for a new system saying it is related to the control board claim. Why pay for a Warranty if they won't cover a malfunctioning furnace that has nothing to do with a control board. We DON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL! Now we are cold and have to find a way to pay for a new furnace on our dime.

The couple other previous times I had I had people show up not do the work and then not come back but this time Johnson Builders did a good job. They don't include faucets.

For repairs the service is good. Response time is good. But if your appliance needs to be replaced, Choice Home Warranty falsely advertised that the will replace your appliance. They will pay you a fraction of the cost to replace your appliance and there is nothing you can do about it because of the fine print. Also I received a Lowes gift card that they would not accept.

The reason why Choice received a poor review is because of my last claim. I had an obvious issue with a leaking garbage disposal, and I could not use my sink. I followed the process by filling the claim and a service tech came out to diagnose the issue. I paid my deductible as agreed and the tech confirmed that the disposal needed to be replaced. He notified choice of what he had to do, and he said he has a replacement unit in his truck, and he can proceed right away. The issue that I have is the claim had to be reviewed before the repair could take place even though he was already on site and he could not proceed until everything was authorized. In the meantime, I could not use my sink and he could not wait and was dispatched to another job. This is beyond acceptable because this was something that should not have taken an extensive amount of time to approve especially, while he was already on-site. If this is going to be the course of action for every claim I am going to start searching for another company.

My Tech Mr Henry T is great but what i paid for is not what Im suppose to receive. I was told the reason my boiler stopped working was that it wasnt cleaned. But it was regularly maintenance.
