CHW says they reserve the right to determine if an item covered under the contract should or shouldn't have broke due to the age. If it breaks before they think it should, they say they don't have to cover the item. It was my understanding the warranty was was for the unexpected not the expected.

Horrible. They won't honor their warranty. 7 weeks without a functioning AC in the middle of a hot TN summer and CHW just keeps reassigning technicians and giving me the runaround. I finally filed a complaint with the BBB tonight.

I got denied for a replacement and appealed. I was assigned a rep and can't get a call back. Also, the service technician repaired one problem and that was denied so I had to pay that, also. I want a call back to discuss these issues.!!!!!!!!!!

They will not approve simple toilet repairs, but they will send a plumber to collect your deductible. The plumber will not have the authorization to fix it. He or she has to call Choice Home Warranty for approval after they arrive. CHW will not answer the telephone to provide approval, even though it’s during their business hours.

Our refrigerator has not wkd at all for over 6 wks. It was reported to CHW on 7/9/21. Finally got a technician out here yesterday, 8/16/21 . Now a part is needed & the projected arrival date is 9/23/21. If the ordered part fixes the problem, we will have been without our refrigerator for 2 & 1/2 MONTHS

They are saying we had a power surge at my house and will not cover the cost of fixing my Air Conditioner when I never had a power surge. The technician had warned us that most of the home warranty companies come up with a reason to not have to pay and he was correct. I will not be renewing for another year.

Terrible experience. Took almost 3 weeks to fix my AC. Sent a few technicians before one could fix it. Turned out to be a somewhat quick fix. Last technician was great. Professional and informative. Customer service from Choice Home Warranty was not good. Had a few other claims they denied for various reasons. Would not recommend them.

Hire bad contractors and after two months we get one that says it cannot be prepared and now it has been three months and I still don’t have the money for my stove. Awful company with horrible customer service! They always find a way to not cover something. They will “call you back” in 24-48 hours but never do and when you call back you get the same answers! Waisted 3 months of my time for nothing with me calling every day to every other day! Awful!

I have water leaking under my house and it took them over a week to find me a plumber. After the plumber diagnosed the issue, your company denied the claim. From what I have heard, that is standard practice. I have told my agent that bought it for me not to ever sell/buy another one. They are not worth the paper they are written on.

Not a good one! I had 2 homes with CHW. Now down to one(the first home, is a looooong story) they don’t stop until they get you; when it time for them to approve on a Water Heater or a Duck Work; they find all kinds of excuses to not approve the job.

A technician came out and I paid the service call fee only for the technician to tell me what the problem could possibly be and for Choice to deny my claim. What's the purpose of paying 50 bucks a month and a service call fee of 75 bucks for no service? It all seems like a scam.

Had a main line clog where I had sewage backing up into the house. It took them six hours to respond to me, and they couldn't get anyone out there to do anything until five days later. Ended up just calling a plumber myself. Definitely a nightmare to deal with.

They do not find repair technician for days or weeks. Put it on you to find one and claim you will get reimbursed only to deny the claim. Raise monthly contract rate and deductible fee without prior notice to customer. Stay away from them!
