I had an issue with my heat pump. the Choice subcontractor would not even touch the appliance. I mean that literally. They said it was inaccessable. I called another contractor out of warranty, and my heat pump has been working perfectly for over a month. All they did was replace a fuse. My dishwasher has stopped working 3 times in the past month. Twice the Choice sub came out and got it working again, but a week later, it stops working. It stopped working again yesterday.

I would give them ZERO stars if it were an option. In six years, I have submitted three small claims. Two were denied and one approved partially. When a repair finally started, they refused to complete the work and I was left with a huge mess. Save your money and use it toward finding your own reliable repairs. This company makes communication very difficult and time consuming. Horrible service; rude people; a waste of time and money.

I had to wait for a week after asking to have a service on my washer and dryer before someone made me a appointment. Now I have to wait up to 30 days to get money fore the buyout for my washer. The buy out was much less then what a new washer would cost.

Replacing my microwave and sending me a check for $191.00, and then letting me know that it will arrive in the next 30 days let me know that I will not renew with you after the years that I have not had only 2 claims. Who can buy a comparable over the range microwave for that amount of money? Also, I have not heard regarding my other claim for the dryer and it appears that no one is trying to look into it to complete the claim. The amazing word down in the lower right hand corner is not put on by myself. Far from amazing.

I was led to believe in beginning, as long as I used your recommended technician you would pay for their recommendation to either repair or replace said item, again not true. Having to pay a service fee for someone to come out every time for the same issue is ridiculous - when it should have been resolved the first time. But it took multiple people to come out to look at the issue and then to tell us that our warranty is not covered. Very frustrating.

As of today 3/6/21, I have not been contacted in regards to approval of a new water heater. I called early Thursday 3/4/21 to report the leaking, no hot water problem. Was told by technician that the earliest he could be back would be Monday or Tuesday do to the fact that Choice Home Warranty has not gotten back to him before he left and the the place they purchase the heater is not open on Saturday or Sunday. Disappointed at this point of the service from Choice Home. Technician was very helpful. Explain in detail everything.

The technician that came out to the house was phenomenal. He was super nice and professional. The coverage is deceitful. They claim their coverage is for "normal wear and tear" but when my unit had a problem because of a leaky coil caused by the deterioration of the coil (which the technician told me happens to every coil over time (sounds like normal wear and tear to me), but hey I guess if they actually paid their claims they wouldn't be in business making money.

My first claim was denied for ductwork, so I am disappointed that ductwork is included in the contract, I've been paying for my policy for several months, and the claim was denied. Don't say something is covered when it isn't. I paid $85 for the contractor to come out and I don't know why the claim was denied. From the email I received, I thought it was going to be covered so I was surprised when the contractor said it was denied.

Not worth the money, totally dependent on the quality of the vendors chw uses. I've had a problem with each claim I have made. Denied on first claim said not covered. Second claim after 2 weeks vendor never showed up. When a different tech showed up said he only just started working on appliances. Last claim vendor never fixed problem and I'm having trouble getting them to come back. Stay away.

I had to find my own technician. I paid $85 to appliance repair and then find out that CW cancelled the order. So I had to file another claim because they could not find another technician to come out to service my dryer. I was told that I would be reimbursed the $85. So I found a new company to come and service the dryer. I pod $95 for them to diagnose dryer issue. Sent in work order which was approved. So now I have to call and get my original $85 back and I need to pay when the 2nd service technician comes to repair dryer. So I am out approximately $350. Not very happy.

We had a heat pump issue, clearly covered per contract. The technician hired by CHW stated they do not know how to work on heat pumps, but knew the unit needed to be replaced. CHW denied, then it worked, then it went out again& CHW told us to hire our own technician, we did so, they gave reasons why it needed to be replaced. Denied, told us to get another opinion (at our expense, of course), we did, denied. We asked for a review, denied BY THE SAME PERSIN WHO DENIED THE CLAIM IN THE FIRST PLACE! Poor customer service, rudeness, lack of integrity & honesty.

Claim to repair heating system was declined due to corrosion. I was in presence when technician was taking pictures and assessing the problem. There is no corrosion in my system. If I could have rated Choice with negative 5 stars I would have. Had simple plumbing issue. Instead of snaking (which a plumber I hired on my own did and it rectified the problem), the agent they sent only offered ripping out a wall to access a pipe. Was in my home for about 5 minutes, did zero work but I had to pay the $65 service fee. Choice would not refund or offer any other option. They are definitely not customer centric. Save your money and frustration. Go elsewhere!

Then the same company setup another dispatch because they admitted that it was a mistake and need to check . My Hot water heater went out on 2/14/21. A plumber responded on 2/15/21 and told me my Hot Water Heater was shot! He took numerous pictures! I received an email saying a replacement was approved on 2/16/21. I have heard nothing since and today is 2/18/21! Meanwhile 5 days no hot water in middle of winter and a baby in the house! I called PSE&G, they offered to replace at a very reasonable price in 1-2 days! This my first time with choice and my experience is not so good!
