During the hot summer months in the south, you left my family with no A/C for 14 hours where the house became 97 degrees, instead of allowing me to find my own technician asap, you made me wait forever. when I called for my own technician he came in 10 minutes. I will be leaving choice home warranty when it expires in January due to this horrible experience.

The customer service seems good, but they deny warranty work more frequently as i have heard and as it also happened to me. They denied my claim because they deemed it preexisting condition and that the system was not in good working order. The system has had no problem in the last 5 years and more. The recent heatwave overworked it. Despite knowing this fact they denied the coverage.

They will tell you whatever you want to hear to sell you the produce. They promised all sorts of things and then back talked or qualified the original promise when we had a claim. They offered us $246 as "full replacement value" for a one year old dishwasher. They said that WAS the full replacement cost for a wholesale version but they had to way to facilitate us purchasing one wholesale. I think home warranties are a scam and am quitting and putting that monthly fee into a savings account instead.

Took over a week and a half to get someone out to fix my air conditioner during the hottest part of the summer! Was forced to go out and buy window ac’s just so we could sleep at night! I have been a customer for 3 years now and by far the worst customer service I ever dealt with! Asked to speak with a manager several times and never heard from one in the week and a half! But they still call me everyday to renew!! I would give 0 star if it was an option!

Not good right now because my claim has been denied and there is not a solid reason for the denial. We bought the house, there was no issue with the shower that we were aware of. The issue arose and we reported it to you for coverage after purchasing the agreement for your services. I feel as though y’all won’t cover anything we report at this point so I have no level of satisfaction at this time. It feels unjustified for you to have denied the claim - not sure why the tech wrote in his notes but obviously it’s incorrect and impacting my coverage for this item. Not happy at all!!

I've had a terrible experience with Choice Home Warranty hiring an incompetent vendor that destroyed my air-conditioning warranty and put a family out of her house for six days with small children because he kept lying and I begged Choice Home Warranty for help and I got none and I am very dissatisfied with Choice Home Warranty. That being said, I have another claim for a hot water heater that's going much better.

Never more disappointed! I made a claim on my AC. They sent tech out it needed Freon. They declined to cover it so I had to pay $185 for the Freon and $65 service call. I could’ve called a local and gotten it done cheaper. I called and kept getting transferred. I’m going back to American Home Shield that was amazing, I was trying to save a few bucks! Lesson learned, cheaper is not always better. Very disappointed with my first and last claim.

That meant the clothes I had in the washer was going to be in there for 4 days. I guess I was use to my things being fixed in 2 days.

Nothing is ever covered 100%. If you think you’ll get 100% coverage for your unexpected home repairs…think again!. Apparently your contract has so much “small print” you always end up with hundreds out of your pocket. Not amazing at all.

Horrible company. Been paying my premiums for a year. Finally had a reason to use the service and the appliance needs to be replaced. Instead of replacing it like all the commercials show given the home owner piece of mind I get a ridiculous offer that won’t even pay for a 1/4 of a replacement. Spoke to a case manager and they provided a small amount more but 24 hours later still waiting for the funds. My policy is canceled and they are stating I need to renew in order to get paid for a claim filed when policy was active. I just want the money owed to me and get away from this company.

Service technicians are independent and have low ratings for their companies on google reviews. If they cannot repair, they will offer less than 10% of the value in cash for you to replace the appliance. They only give a wholesale cash offer even though as a consumer will never be able to find anything at that price. They don’t replace appliances brand to brand. Choice will only give $3k max. An AC unit is $8k at the lowest. Go with a competitor company and not Choice. Their good rates were from years ago.

I am extremely disappointed that it takes one month to receive a gift card to put toward the purchase of a new appliance. Who can wait that long and why isn’t it emailed immediately? For this reason, I would not recommend this company to any family or friends. I will not be renewing either. I had to lay out all of the money for a new washer because I could never wait that long. It is absolutely ridiculous.

I filed a claim in April to have the ceiling fan in my guest room repaired, as it had completely quit working. Now we are into July and hot weather and no one has ever come out to perform this repair. I am extremely disappointed in Choice Home Warranty. I have 6 other houses with First American Home Warranty and have never had this experience with them. Perhaps you are unable to locate technicians in such a rural area. If that is the case, you should not sell warranties in an area you cannot service!

The repairman responded quickly even though it was a holiday weekend. Unfortunately the necessary repairs for our air conditioning are not being covered by the warranty that we pay so much money for! My understanding when I bought the warranty was that we pay for the service call and the repairs are covered and if something can’t be fixed it will be replaced by the warranty. I guess the warranty is a big lie!

They have systems in place to seemingly & efficiently handle all customer interactions, but their follow-up in handling customer problems is POOR in every respect! Excessive hold times, dropping calls & failure to record my requests & comments. It took 10 days & the scheduling of 2 separate service contractors to perform a simple fix on a water faucet. Their Customer Contract is also very unclear & contradictory in its' approved coverage of fixing "hose bibs", my claim has been denied at this time! After being a CHW customer since 2018 I am currently a very unhappy customer.

Once you have to go through the process of dealing with choice hw staff it's best to pay for your own repairs. They okay replacing my dishwasher and offer me 246.00 dollars. Install costs 150.00 and a dishwasher of the same every thing is $469.00 RIP OFF!

You are a joke..the tech who came out last month overfilled my A/C unit causing it to fail.came back replaced what he messed up.unit is needing freon every7-10 days. Done a new claim another company came out said I need a new outside unit and you dismiss his diagnostic and send the original company out who now says there is nothing wrong, why am I paying a monthly fee for 7 years and you do not want to approve a new unit..I want answers from you instead of getting the run around, this is ridiculous

In all honesty, not 100%. My A/C system needed to be replaced and Choice rejected it. I had to do it out of pocket. Regarding small jobs like replacing a ceiling fan it hasn't been a smooth ride.

After talking to a Case manager ,which was no more then a lily liver mouth piece for choice home warranty. He keep telling me why they would not cover my a/c problem. He was not on my side one bit it was all double talk. They have my $2900.00 dollars now they will not cover one darn repair. Do not buy choice home warranty it is a rip off 100%.

I’ve been fighting with this company for over a month for a HVAC repair. I got the best one of the warranty programs and I am still fighting them for the repair. Now they are saying I have to pay $2000 to have the repair done. Why am I paying for a warranty (the best one they offer)for repairs?!!! Do not use this company and Veteran Affairs need to stop promoting this company. As a vet I feel like I’ve been used, abused and spat on.

Not worth the investment. You have to pay for a service call. If the appliance needs to be replaced it is not replaced rather you are offered a fraction of the cost for replacement in a gift card to Lowe's. It would have been cheaper for us to just buy a new appliance rather than buy the warranty
