Then you deny my claim with the crap that rust is the problem, which is a lie, I had another a/c come look and he said it was caused by age and wear and tear.

Very Poor Customer Service , Case Managers are not accessible at all and there is no response on claims for multiple days. Any appliance that we call for repair they are suggesting to replace and the price they ae offering is 10-20% of the cost and least bother about the customer situation or customer needs. This aweful company which promises alot but reality is not even meeting 10-20% of their promises. Easily repairable appliances also are suggested for replacement. I would not suggest anyone to fall in their marketing trciks and opt for multiple years contract with them or in a way dont pay in advance for multiple years. This is a real waste of money , time and more importantly we can get the repairs done with the same amount we pay for them every year.

However service providers at times are not good(e.g. better business bureau complaints, consistent very bad reviews online, or total non English speaking etc). Today it took 3 different assignments of vendors to get one that whose ratings were at least mediocre.

Honestly so disappointed in this company! I was very optimistic when I bought home warranty with choice. I was sold on they will repair or replace appliances that have broken down. My Kenmore washer broke down and I filed a claim. A service rep came out, (I had to pay 85 dollars for him to come out) and it took him 5 minutes to say it is completely broken and it needs to be REPLACED. Choice warranty agreed. SO choice warranty told me to go through the process to get replacement and they agreed to give me $300 dollars for replacement. WELL GUESS WHAT. You cannot replace a washer for $300 dollars, let alone the washer I had. I fought and fought and they increased the amount to $450, which is still not enough to REPLACE the washer I had!!!!! I ended up having to spend money out of pocket (an additional $300 dollars) to REPLACE my washer! SO choice did NOT live up to their claims of repair or REPLACE!! I would highly suggest avoiding this company as they are flat out liars and cannot be trusted! Save your money! Too bad I am stuck with this company for another 5 years! I am scared to think what happens the next time an appliance breaks and I have to pay out of pocket cause they will not do what they promise!

The only thing i liked about the company was their, monthly fee. But this company and its employees are not trust worthy. I transferred from another company and they wouldn't honor, that i had no Kapoor in coverage. Their own agent asked me this question and i answered yes, nothing more. I use their services and they denied my claim in hours. I explained that their contact says they will cover everything because i had no lapse in coverage. The case manager said they had no record of me coming over from another company. The agent failed to add this information to my account and so now i was denied coverage.

At first I was encouraged by the sales pitch by George Foreman on TV and by sales rep Neal when I called the toll free telephone #. The next impression I had wa not so good. The emai I recievedl was incorrect and incomplete regarding the coverage I paid for. I asked for 2 properties and only received confirmation for one. I checked my Bank charges and saw that I was charged for 2 properties. My telephone calls to sales rep Neal were not returned. I did talk to another salesrep named Tracy. I asked her to correct my information and send the policy so I could read it. So far I have not received it. I likely l cancel this Choice Home Warranty and not recommend it to anyone.

I have a refrigerator that has a broken icemaker and a freezer that is frosting over as well as a dryeer that is making horrible sounds. I was charged 3 $75 charges one for each problem i had with an appliance which doesn't make sense to me as they will still be working on only 2 appliances.

Choice Home Warranty is a deceptive and fraudulent company. They will take your money, offer discounts and deny your service request for unjust causes. They pretend they have requested a service call, you may have to wait days. When no one responds to the call and you call a technician on your own, they will deny your reimbursement. I was personally told by one of their contracted companies that their contracted companies may not respond to certain zip codes or neighborhoods. This put a homeowner in a dilemma and cannot get their issues addressed. They will deny your request and refuse to reimburse you. Run fast from Choice Home Warranty or you will regret it. They are horrible and their customer service people are rude and unprofessional.

Choice Home Warranty in words only seems like a great company. They actually may be however there customer service suck. Majority of the time the technician they send out look only for the opportunity to make the service fee. Most give bad or wrong diagnosis leaving me to have to find a reputable technician/company to diagnose and/or sometimes fix the repair that should have been covered under warranty. Unfortunately most of these home warranty companies are the same. Sometimes you get a good technician that comes out that actually check to see what the issue is vs the others that come out and just do a external visual look and make a suggestion depending on if they want to do the repair or see an opportunity to make more money. However the last technician that came out I have no complaints so she's the only reason I gave 4 stars on the other review before this one. I guess when yall see 4star or better yall want to send this review opportunity out.

Not pleased with the person who took the order information. I stated multiple issues: 1. Bathroom faucet 2. Problem with toilet. The information related to the technician was "leaky faucet". The technician had no information about the toilet, Therefore, we had to open a second claim, which doubled the charge because the initial order information was incomplete.

I wish there was a 0 Star setting. I paid almost $3,000 for a 5 year contract. So far, I've had sub quality technicians reviewing and servicing my appliances. I have had my dishwasher and double wall ovens fail and need to be replaced. You do NOT replace the appliance that I have. You send, what YOU consider, a replacement amount of money. My Kitchen Aid Double wall oven cost over $4,000.00. You sent me $699.00. How is that even close to replacing that? My Bosch dishwasher cost $900.00 You sent me a $179.99 as a replacement cost. Your FINE PRINT hides those details for a consumer. I do not have any confidence in this service and would NEVER recommend this as a contract for honest consumers.

Choice Home Warranty is a bad Choice when it comes to home warranties. Their customer service is horrible! Sadly, we chose them due to positive online customer reviews. We have had them for 10 months and both claims we have made have been a complete disaster. I'll share one of them. We submitted a claim for electrical. They schedule a technician to come out. We had someone wait at the house 3-4 hours for a no-show. They then rescheduled 3 days later, same results. Choice then instructed us to schedule a electrician and submit their bid/proposal, which we did. We actually got three estimates from certified electricians. Two of them quoted over $2,000. The one we submitted was for $275 which we submitted to Choice and got approved. Once the work was finished, we went online and completed the form they required with a copy of the invoice... at which point they denied the claim. Here's their reasoning (which makes absolutely no sense): "It has been determined that the cause of failure is due to an improperly sized breaker and incorrect wiring which will need to be replaced/repaired. Please refer to your terms and conditions section F number 11; we are not responsible for repairs related to inadequacy, lack of capacity, improper installation, mismatched systems, oversized systems, undersized systems, previous repair or design, manufacturer's defect, and any modification to the system or appliance." We have since spoken with one of their case managers, Daniel who was extremely unprofessional and uncaring. Most companies would weight the facts, not Choice, it was denied, discussion over. Do yourself a favor and find a better home warranty company! I can assure you.... you won't be able to do worse.

Well, my kitchen faucet broke & choice told me because it was actually broken and not some kind of “wear & tare” they couldn’t replace it. WTF type of warranty doesn’t replace a faucet because it’s broke??? That’s what a warranty is for right? So now i have to buy my own faucet out of pocket then call choice back so they can get someone to install it. But that’s not all, i have to pay $175 to get it installed. I pay $50 each month for this Warranty & i had to pay them $65 for coming out to tell me they can’t fix my faucet. This was a rip off. I’m so disappointed in Choice. Why my warranty not covering a kitchen faucet???? Make it make sense Choice

What I like best about CHW is when they actually get a vendor that calls, shows up (on time), has great customer service, and does the job (like Comfort AC & Refrigeration- that repaired my heater). And unlike Ready-1 Solutions who did a No Call/No Show when scheduled to fix my freezer. What I dislike the most about CHW is there lack of customer service and in checking in on job results other than an automated email in which you pick a "star level". And it doesn't matter the level you pick there is no follow up for a bad rating. I also dislike the lack of quality vendors they have, this no call no show isn't the 1st time, so this wasn't just a one-off. I dislike the numerous emails of different specials I get EVERYDAY!!! as if I am not a customer and they are trying to get my business. If they would put as much effort into actually talking to customers after a scheduled service as they send out emails, maybe they would actually know how their customers really feel about them. What should CHW change? A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel CHW was responsive to my claim. My issue is that my thermostat was found to be not working. I had it installed around a year ago and it cost over $200. CHW approves a new thermostat but only paid $40. I had to pay an extra $140 to get an similar one. I am not happy and it make me wonder if my refrigerator that cost over $2000 broke would you only pay $400 towards a new one?

I made the mistake of buying a Choice Home Warranty a couple of years ago. EVERY single time I call to file a claim it is a battle to get them to cover anything. There is an out clause for virtually EVERYTHING!!!! This week I had a water pipe leaking, not something that you can exactly wait to have repaired. I call Choice advised them of my situation and told them I had a plumber on the way. The guy told me he'd open up a case and that water leaks inside the house are covered under the terms of the contract. Leak fixed, claim submitted (with pictures I might add) and of course claim denied because I didn't have "prior approval." Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere for a home warranty.

Where do I begin... We originally had AHS for over 6 years and in the past 3 years they have not provided quality customer service. The waiting time on the phone is over 3 hours and no one ever calls you back. Also, to get technician out can be weeks. So, I decided to look around and read that Choice Warranty had really good reviews. I called Choice Warranty on August 12th and I was convinced by the sales rep that Choice was better...and that things that AHS didn't cover, would have been covered by them. (My husband wasn't convinced) So it's October 7 and we are having issues with our AC not blowing out air so we call Choice Warranty and was able to get through right away and put in our claim. We received an email that our claim was dispatched to one of their technicians. We do receive a call from the technincan to set up an appointment for that week. The technician comes out and states that the motor is not working. He reports back to Choice Warranty and then we receive an email from Choice that our claim was denied, "It has been determined that the air conditioning system is not functioning properly due to a faulty indoor blower motor and blower wheel. The wheel was found to be broken, causing improper operation and resulting in an internal failure of the motor. A indoor blower wheel cannot become broken under normal wear and tear conditions." So, we get a call from the technician stating that he can do the job for $1200. We decided that we needed to get a second opinion on our own. So, I call another AC company and the technician comes out and informs us that the wheel is not broken, but the motor is indeed not working. So, in other words the Choice Warranty technician lied. The technician tells me that the Warranty company is more than welcome to call him. So, we end up filing an appeal through a link that was sent to my email from Choice Warranty. I also leave a message and send an email to the case manager that was assigned to us. She ask that we send her pictures of the wheel and the technician's invoice, which I do. A week goes by, no call or email from the case manager. So, I call and leave a message and send a follow up email to the case manager. A few days go by...still no call back or email. So, I call customer service and explain my situation and they advise me that I will receive a call back with in 24 hours, which I did. I receive an email from the case manager informing me that our claim was denied "The information you submitted was reviewed by review team and the claim is still not covered. The pictures show debris build up in the wheel and on the fins which restricts airflow and cause the motor to overheat and fail. The claim is not covered for lack of effective maintenance." 11/5/20 - I send the following response email to the case manager: The original rejection was that the fan wheel was broken per the technician you all sent out. Which was untrue, per the technician i received a 2nd opinion from. Now, you all are saying that due to "debris build up" the claim is denied. The technician that did the second opinion said that there is nothing wrong with the fan wheel...he even showed us the wheel...and that there is not enough debris to cause the motor to overheat or fail. I don't understand how you all can come to a conclusion without speaking with the technician that provided the 2nd opinion. It's just disheartening that I can't find an honest warranty company to trust in. Please make sure you address the first technician that came out because he provided untrue information to you all.

I thought Choice was the best one to go with but so far I'm pretty disappointed. I gave two stars only because they are prompt in getting a company assigned but they aren't holding the companies accountable for completing the repairs after payment.

The microwave issue was resolved in time but the unit was returned imperfect. It MAY be resolved. The Dishwasher tech did not arrive when scheduled and I was unable to contact them. It is very important that the dishwasher be repaired at once because the house is for sale--we are moving crosstown.

I have your company already for my home warranty company. I had a technician come out to look at my garbage disposal over 2 weeks ago. He submitted the claim and has not herd anything back from anyone. I have tried calling several times and can not get through. I have actually been hung up on several times after setting on hold for over 20 minutes. This is terrible customer service. And you think I'm going to refer any of my family or friends to this company. I knew it was a bad idea to re-sign with this company. I should of learned from the previous year of terrible service. If I could give a negative i would. I just called today and finally got to speak to some one and was told I had to put in a request on line to speak with a supervisor or manager. I want to cancel my services and I want a refund of my money. This company is a complete rip off. It is fast to take the consumer money but slow to do repairs if they do them at all.

Choice Home Warranty was the first policy I purchased. Reading the reviews I was hopeful that they would be able to fix any appliance when there was an emergency. My hot water heater started leaking in the middle of the night & was dripping through the ceiling into the master bedroom. The next day a technician was dispatched & correctly diagnosed that the heater required replacement. I had thought that this would be covered by the home warranty policy. The technician was told by Choice Home Warranty that they would not cover the costs. I immediately called Choice Home Warranty & was assigned a Case Manager. While I was waiting to hear from the Case Manager, the leak got worse & I had water literally flooding from my ceiling & now damaging walls, carpets, you name it! I had to call another company last minute to attend to the issue. Choice Home Warranty claimed the replacement of a water heater is an "exclusion". The technician went on to advise me that Choice Home Warranty has the worst policy for exclusions & the Company is the worst in the industry regards paying for repairs. I learnt this the hard way. He advised that American Home Shield was the best in his opinion but also said that these home warranty policies are a waste of money as none are prepared to pay when repairs are required beyond a simple 5 minute fix! Lesson learnt & goes without saying that I cancelled my policy with Choice Home Warranty.

I'm so unhappy with the way I was treated when I called for svc on hotwater hetr. 4times. I got another yr. & as i wasn't able to pay other half, ur service dept.wouldn't get me SVC. Unless I paid rite now! I need a new heater! Every tech u send out says same. They're all very nice. Them I like. Choice.....not sure much. M MARANO Oh I had to pay $65_ each & every time for the techs. I'm on social security.

First technician that was to be sent to home never showed up and though agreed to come second time never bothered to show up again. Second company, Main Appliance Repair was well organized, prompt and extremely helpful. Not sure why this wasn't the go-to company in first place. Makes me suspicious that these companies are not well vetted. Denial of claim and now currently under appeal, as well as multiple delays in getting someone to home warrants a 0-1 rating. No staff to speak with, all contact by email, and not responding to specific requests in emails points to offshore movement of staff. I have had one claim on same appliance in the past and that went smoothly, spoke with staff, coordinated parts and repair - went well. This last claim was a hot mess from inception to denial - now under appeal.

Tends to surprise me with shorting the contractors after the work is done or causing them to hop thru more hoops to get paid. I can appreciate following the contract, but some of the disqualifications seemed hidden in document.

First issue I had a problem with was one of my garage door openers. The transmitter quit working. Could only operate using the hardwired button or manually. Choice would not replace the opener because they do not cover the transmitter. Second issue was my air conditioner. For two weeks they kept telling me the part was ordered and they were waiting for a drop date. After two weeks they told me the part was not available and they were looking at alternatives. I ended up going elsewhere. Third issue was my hot water heater. Tank rusted and was leaking. They do not cover the tank. First policy I ever had that did not cover the tank as part of a hot water heater. Fourth issue. I tried to cancel policy and get a prorated refund. Told I could cancel, but there would be no refund. Thoroughly disappointed.

The technician was great! He diagnosed the problem and said he has the order a part to fix the dishwasher. I’ll get an email from you that you’ll install a new washer since it’s cheaper than the part. I started responding to you by making a mistake to agreeing to receive $175 check which supposedly was enough to replace and install a new dishwasher????Immediately I wanted to change my response but there was no way of doing it! Very tricky! Now I suppose to find a new dishwasher and get it installed for $175! You tell me how that’s possible! I’m very disappointed!
