The time it took to locate a plumber was extremely long. Now I wonder how long it will take to allow the plumber to replace the faucet. Mean while water is running not dripping. I must run up and down stairs just to flush the toiletto shut the water off or allow the water to run.

Do not purchase Choice Home Warranty!!!. Repeat, Do not purchase Choice Home Warranty I placed a claim for a dishwasher in May 13 2023. I was lied to numerous times when I called Choice support, that the claim would be processed in 5-7 business days. The claim took 4 weeks to process. At that time, I was offered a buyout (Lowes credit) because the dishwasher part could not be replaced. The buyout amount was $400 less than a cost of the replacement dishwasher. Choice does not cover the cost of the dishwasher delivery and the cost of removing the old dishwasher. The Choice Support rep do not know their own policy and claim coverage and they are unable to tell you about the additional cost not covered by the policy. Horrible customer service.

....there's not much to like about this company....You would think that after replacing the same parts on the same refrigerator, they would get a clue. But they just used a different tactic. Blame it on the manufacture. and after that is exhausted, go back to plan a... replace the parts again... over that last year and a half, Choice has sent people to my home over 12 times. ( @$85 a pop) to work on the same refrigerator. With the same problem..... and half the time denied the claim....

Our tech that came out the first time in april was in and and out in 15 minutes. No real diagnosis. Fast forward to 5/29 same problem. New tech came in and took time to dignose the problem. Figured out some issue and once again the one of the parts ordered was not approved and when he come back in 10 days later if its the part that was not approved that was the problem i will have to wait more time. I will be out 18plus days without a refrigerator and maybe more because you wouldn't approve a part. At this point i hope that it fixed on his next vist othwise your methodology on how things get fixed or approved is unacceptable considering how monthly rates and deductibles go up and service on appliances only happens through 3rd party services that dont get approval onnparts so they can do their job.

My first experience was terrible with the rookie I talked to when trying to turn on a request for a plumber. Finally after about an hour snd bring transferd one one person to another and trying to explain what I needed to people who couldn’t speak good English or a computer I finally got help from someone who understood what I needed and got my service set up. The first person I talked to I guess took the order but hung up on me. I didn’t know if she got it done or not. The company you sent out was very good. They contacted me snd set up a time to coke out. They had a time come up that day and called to see if wanted them to come. Of course I said yes please. I hated to have yo wait till Friday, which was a couple of days away. The plumber got her fixed my problem in a very timely manner and was very polite and knowledgeable. Your people could take lessons from the plumbing company on how to treat or interact with customers. So F for your representatives and A+ for the plumbing company.

had no one locally (within 100 mi) to do any of the work I needed. Called in a dishwasher repair, was told for 3 days that my appt was in 3days, 2 days, 1day then on the day of the appt no one showed and I learned by calling the people handling the appt that they didn't service my areas. An earlier appt about a ac compressor not working took a couple days before they they said they had no one to come we said we would contact the company who had been maintaining it. Choice kept indicating they needed more info/pictures after what they wanted was sent and the told us they needed to know exactly why it needed replacing. Old age (being over 27 years old) and not being able to start it automatically or manually wasn't enough. After over 2 wks. we said cancel the policy. I have had home warranties for since 1984 and am a real estate agent, and Choice is the worst home warranty I have ever come across in 39 years. I would not recommend them to anyone and will not hesitate to warn my clients about the their inabilities to make repairs and the fact that according to my heating & air guy, have the worst payout of any home warranty company the heating & air company has ever dealt with! It also took me 3 hours to get my warranty cancelled with them telling me I didn't understand how home warranty companies worked. I have used them for 39 years, had A/C units replaced, dishwashers, varieties of repairs on my appliances, plumbing and electrical repairs - told them I probably know more how the worked the the young person I was talking to. Finally go it cancelled but still haven't gotten my refund of my remaining contract - that could be another issue. We will see. They told me it would take 30 days for that.

This is the second time Choice has been unable to source a contractor for a covered claim. My last claim was closed without the needed work being completed due to an initial rude contractor then a second who caused damage in my home. I ultimately sourced my own contractor and paid out of pocket to complete the work, I won’t be renewing in 2024 when my contract expires.

After submitting my claim it took their contractor 5 days to show up and then it took him another 4 days and at that point he still has not submitted his diagnostic to Chooce to review, and at that polyhedra would not answer my calls or answer Choice calls to him, still waiting for decision after a week and a half for repairs. If you think you need quick service don’t bother using Choice, they have sorry contractors that don’t care, this is my third request on different claims in the last three years and they have not repaired anything to this point. If there was a ratings lower then one I would’ve checked that box. Don’t waste your money!!!!!

First negative experience with Choice but discussed the issues with my dishwasher with them. They do not have the customer in mind when trying to fix a 7 year old appliance with multiple problems but all centered around a customer safety issue with latch that had been previously replaced a year ago by them. No water leakage , dishes not drying, not cleaning, water linkage on floor daily, etc. Instead of replacing the old unit with all these issues and ignoring customer safety on latch they now have chosen to replace all faulty parts 4 or more now on order. Repair tech latch will reoccur again and not sure about the total expense of all these parts that was dropped shipped to my condo plus installation by tech the 2nd time. Advised company again and again if latch is a reoccurring and new part replaced again it doesn't matter about all these other parts ordered in a unit that old. They chose to ignore safety instead keep trying to patc h up a dishwasher this old. Makes no sense! Now we have been waiting 2 weeks for part and still mo resolution or communication as parts drop ship to our home. When I questioned companies response was "it's not your money" let us do our job. Poor customer service skills and no regard to customer being without a functional dishwasher this long and no regard to safety of falling dishwasher door constantly and creating a safety risk. Doesn't seem to matter to do the right thing and insure this will never happen again. It sure isn't the money issue either as you could have replaced the unit after 7 years and been cheaper and avoided all these safety concerns and issues and had a resolve in a few days vs. weeks as it now has been!

I recently purchased a home warranty because my appliances are getting old. Why else do you buy a home warranty. I filed a claim with CHW when my HVAC started giving me issues, and it was denied due to pre-existing conditions (i.e. they said that the line to the compressor was rusty and caused a leak in the system and that it must have happened before I got my warranty). There is no visible rust and the pictures that I sent for the claim verified that. They never sent anyone to inspect the appliance either before or after the claim. However, their policy is written so that they can deny any claim they want by invoking the "pre-existing condition" clause. Be forewarned that this company is in the business of collecting monthly fees; not honoring their warranty for your claims.

Rep at Choice lied to me about contacting a repair company. She (choice rep), put me on hold to call the repair company, being I had taken time off work for the “repair window”, that was an hour past. She came back on the line and said that the company wasn’t answering her calls. I immediately called the repair company and was told they DID NOT even have a repair order from choice and it’s not the first time it’s happened…

On May 5th, I filed claim #197302761 for my AC unit, which stopped blowing cold air. A technician from 72 Degrees Services visited on May 8th and determined that the AC unit needed to be replaced. Choice Home Warranty approved the replacement of the condenser on May 9th, but I was informed that I would be responsible for paying $596.25 for the evaporator coils. Additionally, due to that I have a R22 refrigerant unit, they stated that an upgrade to a newer system would be required, at an additional cost of $1760 since R22 units are no longer manufactured. When I contacted the technician to request a breakdown of the costs, their response was both rude and unprofessional. They refused to provide the information and abruptly ended the call. Not only that, I found out that the technician left the condenser panel open. Didn't even bother to close it. Despite my numerous attempts, I was unable to reach them. Frustrated, I contacted Choice Home Warranty to request a cost breakdown, but they explained that they did not have access to the information at that time. Consequently, they escalated the claim to a case manager on May 12th. Finally, on May 18th, I had a conversation with the assigned case manager, Dielliavissia S. She assured me that she would obtain an itemized cost list and arrange for the technician to come back and close the condenser panel. However, as of May 24th, no progress has been made in obtaining the breakdown or resolving the open panel issue. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of action and follow-through. Furthermore, when I requested that another company be assigned to address the issue, considering my negative experience with the technician from 72 Degrees Services, my request was unfortunately denied. Moreover, prior to purchasing the policy, Choice Home Warranty explicitly assured me that they would replace my AC unit in the event of a malfunction. However, they now insist that, due to the age of my unit, I am required to pay $2,356.25 for a replacement, which I find to be an unreasonable amount. It is disheartening that if I bought a product ten years ago and it breaks, with the same model no longer available, I should be expected to shoulder half of the replacement cost. This raises the question of the purpose of buying a warranty if they initially promised a complete replacement of the air conditioning system. Learn from my experience, and stay away from them!!!

Let me start with saying the rating has nothing to do with Haywood the technician that fixed my electric range. The low rating has to do with Choice Home & how they handled my service appt. My appt was 4-10-23. I followed the appt all day showing the tech would be there after 3. Mind you the appt was from 8-5, so I had to be in the house all day. Finally, it's 3pm and the info said I was next. Next thing I know I get an email that my appt was cancelled. I was livid. I waited all day, and followed along where I was on the list. I get a call from Choice Home to reschedule the appt. I spoke to Britney, and she couldn't give me any info on why the appt was cancelled at the last minute. The appt was rescheduled for 4-14-23 and again between 8a-5p. Fortunately the tech arrived at 8am. The technician was Haywood, and he was awesome. I did voice my displeasure of how the appt was handled on Tuesday 4-10-2023. He even apologized for it. He was very thorough, and very professional, and once he saw what the issue was, he was able to get it repaired. He even went out of his way to drive to another place to pick up the part since th4e local dealer didn't have the part to not have me have to go more time without being to use my oven. HE is the only reason I didn't cancel my warranty seeing that I was still very pissed off at how everything was handled on 4-10-2023 my original appt date. Cancelling the appt at the last hour, and not having a reason as to why was horrible, and a horrible way to do business. Again, you need to thank Haywood that I didn't cancel my warranty.

I submitted a claim for AC after it had been running longer than normal, and the temp wasn't changing much. Only one degree cooler overnight. In Georgia. In summer. Two days went by without any appointment, the end of the 3rd day I got an appointment FOR 10 DAYS LATER! So I asked if I had to run it 24/7 for 10 more days, and they said if we tried to check with another vendor, we'd "have to start the process all over again.". Unacceptable, and incredibly inefficient process. Why not reach out to local vendors, and WHEN you get availability dates, THEN secure the earliest appointment???? I have called again, and was told the technician would call me..... it's been two more days, and no one has reached out. I will NOT be renewing.

On refrigerator thatvwent out, Choice said they would pay Choices price they could get. But, when we try to buy a replacement, our price is much higher. That is not right! On my neighbors air conditioner, fins were bent...denied. On my daughter's unit went out...denied. The company that you sent disagreed,. When I called them they said they were DONE with Choice and quit. Garage door opener, repairman came, called in and talked to Choice, fixed it, left and then Choice denied. WHAT? Called the company and they said Don't worry. We won't charge you, he had the parts on the truck. CHOICE DENIES EVERYTHING. We are about to drop them. Not good.

Choice could NOT find a plumber to take the job. I tried 12 plumbing companies and NO one would take the job from Choice. I finally found a plumber and the work was standard but it was the cheapest bid and the only way I could pay up front and get reimbursed from Choice. Everyone stated that they would NOT accept the job because in the past they were never paid by Choice. WOW, I had to call all the plumbers and find one, then I had to pay up front, but I did get reimbursed but I had to take the cheapest to make sure Choice paid me back.

After three appointments the garage door repair person finally met the scheduled appointment time. Instead of diagnosing the problem, he immediately went into an upsale effort to sell a new opener. I refused so he went through the repair process. He said that he could fix it but it wouldn't last more than a year or so. If that's the case, perhaps he rigged it to fail?? In any event, it is working for now but I don't have a lot of confidence. Credit cards accepted for the $75 deductible ... BUT they charge a 3% fee to use the card. I wrote a check instead. 495 Garage Door.

On 03/29/2023 I filed a claim for an issue with my A/C unit and my Furnace (two separate claims). The A/C unit was not pushing out air, and the heater when turned on was pushing out smoke. A technician was not sent to my home until 04/04/2023. I paid the $85.00 fee for each claim. Since that day I have been in touch directly with Choice Home Warranty and the technician assigned to my claim. The technician from the beginning indicated that the furnace needed replacement and as a matter of fact had to be shut off due to carbon monoxide exposure into the home. By law he was required to close the gas flow to the furnace. The A/C unit had leaks beyond repairs and needed to be replaced (normal wear and tear). Since the day the claim was filed I have been without heat or A/C. With the temperatures changing now, my home has been between 78-85 degrees daily. It is humid and I am afraid that it could cause more damage to the home. Choice Home Warranty continued to request additional supporting evidence from the technician. The technician provided several photos and their EXPERT opinions to Choice. Choice Home Warranty lied stating that the technician indicated a "charge" and leak seal is the proper repair for the unit. Additionally, Choice conveniently changed systems and as indicated by their customer service rep all communications between myself and the technician with Choice is not in their system anymore. That is BAD FAITH and borderline fraudulent. Choice has also failed to provide me with supporting evidence that the technician diagnostic for repairs was anything other than replacement. Here we are almost 60 days later, I am starting to have my health affected by this issue, my home is currently 85 degrees inside, and all that Choice has approved is for a repair that will not fix the issue, a repair that they do not even fully cover because i would be responsible for over $300. I DEMAND THAT CHOICE APPROVES THE CORRECT REPLACEMENT OF THESE UNITS.

I had to use my own heating and air conditioner contractor to do the job. They sent in pictures and videos of the rusted leaking coils on both of my air conditioners. They were waiting on an authorization number but you requested more information. In the meantime the parts came in to fix the units and I told them to go ahead and fix it because it was hot. Since I had to pay for the service and you were to reimburse me and the work had to be done, I saw no problem. The minute I let you know that the work was done I was told that the claim would not be paid because I didn’t have the authorization number. Atchley had spent a lot of time trying to please you all but still no number. This contract was transferred to me when I bought my house so I didn’t know about the claim not being paid without the number. I personally think that you made it so hard for Atchley Heating and Air to work with you so that you wouldn’t have to pay the bill. It isn’t my fault that you didn’t have your own company to check the problem out. I am very unhappy.

If I could give negative stars, I would. You wait forever to have someone come out and then they can’t do the repair, or their estimate to CW is denied. The contractors they work with themselves have horrible reviews. It took over a month and multiple technicians to have my dishwasher repaired - mind you, all it needed was a new fuse. After multiple technicians couldn’t or wouldn’t fix a dripping tub faucet, I requested reimbursement for the 75 service fee so I could have it repaired on my own. They claimed they could not, so I requested to cancel. Suddenly they could reimburse me, but I cancelled regardless. I have never been so frustrated nor wasted as much time as I did with this company. Don’t waste youri energy

Choice is running a scam-like operation. They take weeks to find a technician and approve the work. It took them over a month to get a technician that could install sewerage injector pump for my home. Choice finally agreed to let me get my own plumber. My cost for the job was $1,100. However, Choice only reimbursed me $530. It's been about 30 days and I still have not received reimbursement. Consumers, be aware, this is not a true home warranty company. They do not cover the full cost of replacement or repair. In an other instance with a dishwasher, Choice only gave me a $360 Lowes gift card to buy and install a replacement dishwasher. It's a guessing game to what they will actually cover.

Choice use to be a good company. Lately it is non responsive and the customer service is terrible. I have had a water leak in my shower since Nov 2022. I have had several plumbers out to replace the cartridge but never return. It is the end of May 2023 and my shower is not fixed. The plumbers keep telling me that Choice is not paying their bills or have fired them. They have told me that the compensation to the plumbers they work with is subpar. I have called around in my area and all of the plumbers will not work with Choice. I have spent hundreds of dollars in water due to this leak. When I call Choice they will not let me talk to a supervisor and just keep re-posting my claim.

The problem is that Home Warranty manipulates cons and just makes you wait two weeks to get anything done and then they tell you. Oh, we’re just gonna give you a check for $191 for a microwave that I paid $250 for and now I have to install it myself, no other people are polite and courteous except when you get to a gentleman named Brandon who is employee ID number that he gave me as he was laughing so I’m not even sure if it’s correct it was very unprofessional. Do not choose Choice Home Warrenty. Recently my 17 year old water geater died. 16 days later I still have no hot water. The life span for a water heater is 10-12 years. They don’t want to replace the tank. All they want to do is replace all other parts. They sre not taking into consideration the calcium buildup. I also need a new dishwasher. I live in a mobile home and requires a ADA compliant dishwasher. Its 24” wide but only 32 1/2 in tall. Standard dishwashers are 24” wide and 34” tall. They start at $799.00. They said they would send me a Lowes gift card for $246.00. It takes almost a week before you have someone booked to come out and do the repairs. Oh brdt if all . . . They don’t operate in the state of California. Instead they use a third party company. This company is a farse.? Had I jnown what I know now I would never have signed up with them. I signed up fir a three year contract. They said I can cancel my policy but they don’t give refiunds. Be smart and don’t get suckered into a contract with them.

The call centers operators are way off shore…very difficult to understand communication. The claim process is extremely timely…a broken water line claim was initiated on April 2nd this previous month. The trade assigned went MIA after their 2nd visit. I called each week…as Choice pays no attention to an open ticket repair time line. After 4 contacts…contractor scheduled for today…and completed the 1 hr repair. When complained that I was without water service to a portion of my home…I was told this s not an emergency policy…I purchased a Six year warranty…six years of aggravation

A tech was scheduled immediately after I submitted the claim. The tech came out and assessed my AC unit and the unit is schedule to be replaced. Quick and easy.

I just signed up so I have no way of knowing if this is good or not. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. And the sales person who sold it to me could use some manners. He talked down to me. If I didn't already have a home warranty company and could see the value I probably wouldn't have signed up. So we will see if it works.

Technician was friendly and professional. Arrived at the appointed time. However he did not have the part needed to repair or clothes washer. The part had to be ordered with a 3 week lead time, which is disappointing.

I filed 2 claims one for my roof snd one got my dishwasher two weeks ago snd only my dishwasher had been resolved. I had to keep calling about the roof leak and finally someone came out but couldn’t go up on the roof because it was raining , and although promised a follow up and reschedule nobody has contacted me .. yet still have the issue .. horrible service so far.

Horrible! Bought this policy just a few months ago and needed to use it for air conditioning, they sent someone out fast but denied the charges saying it wasn’t motor related. It was a leak in wiring. Funny when Daniel F sold me policy he told me everything to do with unit would be covered if we had problems down the road. Needless to say he hasn’t returned my call or emails either. We paid the $75 deductible for nothing and now will be paying $550 to fix wires. I called to cancel policy got transferred a few times then offered a free sticking month of service and promised that our next claim would go better! I didn’t have the energy to keep negotiating so I accepted and still plan on canceling warranty. It’s a hoax, I read reviews after I purchased policy and they were not good! Very unhappy!
