I had clicked on the email info (again) for Choice Home Warranty to take a look(again) and somehow it sent my phone number to a rep, and I received a phone call immediately. I was somewhat irritated (Ha!) but answered the call. I had checked this company for years, but it did not appear to be in my budget. When I answered the call, the rep told me his name, and I told him that I only had a minute. He quickly began to give me the information. When he told me the special anniversary price, I said, "I'll take it!" Within probably less than 2 minutes we had completed the sign up interview and I was on my way. He kept his word, and emailed me their company info with his name and contact information. Now if their service is as good as this, I will gladly refer them! Thank you Choice Home Warranty!

Jamal K is the representative who first answered my inquiry. Everything he said, and more, was what I had read in Choice's sample policy. He explained things very well, sent me more information, and a day later I called him back with a few questions at which time I was convinced that this is the company that I wanted to engage in home appliance warranty. He looked for all or any possible discounts that he could give after I had added more items to be covered. Very pleasant man and a very pleasant experience. Now, once the policy becomes "in force" in 30 days, I will rest easy that we have this coverage, and, if & when an appliance fails, he will be the man that I plan to contact for service. I have had home warranties on several other homes with a major competitor in the past. I signed up with Choice yesterday and Richard in the sales department was very knowledgeable and easy to work with, having answered all my questions and resolving all of my concerns. Great pricing and coverage compared to other home warranty companies. If Choice's claim department covers claims as stated in their warranty policy (which I printed a hard copy and read every word, in detail) then we are "golden". Everyone I've spoken with so far has been very professional, very knowledgeable and I am very pleased so far. I retired from a large national homebuilder and I am very knowledgeable about home maintenance and repair. I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty.

I have had only great experiences since I 've been with Choice Warranty for the past seven years. They have come and repaired and replaced my appliances that couldn't be repaired. I have never had to wait more than 2 days for my appointments and they are very reasonable. The companies that do their services work, I would rate them 5 stars. My daughter lives in St. Louis, MO and she and her husband had a very bad experience with their Choice Warranty not repairing or giving them enough funds to replace their appliance. I was not cool with that because I had given rave reviews about them getting Choice Warranty. So please help them, also my daughter lost a day pay from work because they didn't keep their appointment and didn't call to let her know that they weren't coming.

choice was great at getting me a plumber, but the first company fixed the original leak from the bottom of the toilet, but than the water wouldnt shut off, because they couldnt come back for a week i had to call another company and pay another service fee, who fixed the running water inside the tank, but i also stated in my order i wanted both on and off valves replaced because they wouldnt shut off, he refused to replace them because he used force to get them to work, im still concerned that if they freeze again i wont be able to shut off any possible future leaks, i still want the valves replaced lik i assked for in the beginning like i asked for without having to pay a third fee. thank you

I like the fact that I was looking up information on the best home warranties in my area and was given two companies. I reached out to both. In this scenario, "the early bird got the worm" as your company was the first to contact me. I was able to explain my concerns with my current home warranty company and how I have been waiting over 45 days to have them either repair or replace my swimming pool water pump despite reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I was told by your salesman that Choice Home Warranty would never take that long to either repair or replace a simple swimming pool water pump and he even apologized for the trouble the other company has been giving me. I liked the monthly premium, which is less than my current monthly premium, and I liked the fact that he even gave me a discount on the service fee. This was done after I asked him if Choice Home Warranty offered a military discount. He said no, because I was already getting a better discount price, however, he would lower the service fee from $85.00 to $75.00. That is also better than the standard military discount of 10% which would have been $85 - 10% ($8.50) = $76.50. So, I am now very pleased to start with my new home warranty company. The only downside is that there is a 30-day waiting period. At any rate, I still have the other company which I will be canceling next month. I must confess that I am now very pleased to recommend your business to my fellow Veterans of Foreign Wars members and to my fellow American Legion members.

I have been chasing my A/C for the last 3 years and I THINK this tech finally figured it out. The previous 2 techs must have reconnected the A/C wrong. Don was at my house Sat for 6 LONG hours rewiring someone else's lack of knowledge. Mind you this is Texas and its hot as hell here. Don took his time and did it right without attitude or frustration. He fixed the problem and I believe that the unit is finally working the way it was intended to work. My only suggestion to Choice Home Warranty is to allow the home owner to select someone that they are familiar with vice HOPING that they get someone good. Other than that I am thankful for Choice Home Warranty. Thank You, Steve

Every time I had a problem it was not covered, and when it was covered they stated I was the cause. I'm almost 70 yrs old and they expected me to maintain my refrigerator by pulling it out and blowing the dust out. I had it serviced twice and was not aware that it needed to be done. I paid the servicemen, I would not have known what they did or did not do. But I can say when I called about my garbage disposal it was covered and I had a great and knowledgeable serviceman. I was very happy at last. I paid several years in advance, which I would never do again. The rating for product and service is for the above-mentioned service received by the serviceman for my garbage disposal and also the serviceman that repaired my dryer.

I switched to Choice Home Warranty (CHW) over a year ago and I’m happy I did. I went online the other day to start my first claim regarding my AC system having issues. The online process was very simple and I was informed from CHW an AC company was scheduled to come to my home Saturday between 11-3. Saturday morning I was notified via text Bryan from Budget Air Solutions was on the way. The AC company was excellent !! Bryan arrived at 10:15. I loved that he was early and I didn’t have to wait around all day for the service call.. When he arrived he was knowledgeable, courteous, explained thoroughly what needed to be performed, and resolved the issues thoroughly and quickly. I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty and Budget Air Solutions. Additionally I appreciated CHW emailed me with all the information I needed prior to the service appointment. I’m glad I switched warranty companies. I thought the whole process was superior to my last warranty company.

When my dishwasher stopped draining I went on line to request service. The next day I got an appointment for technician to come out the following day. Technician came and said the drain pump failure was the problem and said he would submit claim. The claim was approved the next day and that same day a technician called and came out and fixed the dishwasher! I have used other home warranty companies before, and had to wait weeks to get my problem fixed, but Choice is by far the best one yet. So based on the speed and handling of fixing this issue, I would recommend Choice as a home warranty company.

This repair went off without a hitch. For my small co-pay, I got a brand new garbage disposal installed, and I am thrilled. The service man was professional and did a great job with the repair and replacement. My icemaker is giving me an intermittent problem on my refrigerator and I will be scheduling another service call. The fact that I have the service contract and I don’t have to be scampering around looking for the proper people to call, or hiring , various repair people blind, makes the policy very valuable to me. Having peace of mind that one Cole can take care of just about all of the issues I might have in this house makes me feel wonderful, especially being a senior citizen. The way I look at it is that I just saved about $250 on this repair if I didn’t have a contract. And that’s pre-Covid dollars I have no idea what things cost now when things break. I will probably never get back every single penny that I spent on my extended warranty, but the peace of mind I get knowing that if anything breaks there’s one number I called makes it well worth it. The communication with this company is second to none. They are efficient have a great communication cycles in place and I feel confident, every step of the way , There are a lot of choices out there, and I am thrilled that I went with this company.

I switched from American Home Shield to Choice. Why is this better you ask? For one, their price is far cheaper, and they offered discounts on top of that. The sales staff was awesome to deal with, patient, and worked with me, as I was up front with them about my problems with AHS. Secondly, the deductible is cheaper than AHS by 15 bucks, and lastly AHS wants their deductible up front, when you file a claim, and with Choice, they are fair about it and pass the duties of collection of the deductible to the contractor who comes to your residence. Once the job is done properly, then you pay. Amazing concept isn't it? With AHS, there is no guarantee the job will be done correctly, and honestly I have had that happen multiple times with AHS. The service is above par, and when you call support for an assist, they understand how to help you, they want to help you. I didn't get that same service from AHS and they were indifferent where the customer was satisfied or not. Cudos to the management team for the care they put into the company. It really does make a a difference in company perception as well as the customer. We want to do business with reputable and well managed companies that actually care. Thanks

I tried for 5 days to get a live person on the phone with your company and I couldn’t reach a single human being! Your customer service sucks!! I wish I could cancel my contract with you all!! Five days with out a repair because your computers were down is unacceptable! Five days no air conditioning! Your customer service is the worst!!! My technician deserves to work for better people!! I have only had to file one claim to date. They took the information regarding the problem with one of my air conditioning units . As this was in the afternoon they said I would be contacted the next day to schedule service. They called the next morning and said they did not have a service person available for a few days and told me to contact whomever I wanted to service the unit and send them them the bill for payment. I called the company who has been servicing my AC for seversl years. They repaired my AC that afternoon. I mailed the bill to Home Choice Warranty and they promptly paid. No hassle, just pleasant and helpful people to deal with. I gladly recommend them.

The sear's technician was very competent and thorough. He actually took measurements to evaluate the issue. He was the third technician sent to resolve the problem and the only one that knew what he was doing. FixAll LLC was the second. While he seemed to know what he was doing he did nothing to resolve the issue and rarely was able to get his office on the phone to attempt to schedule a revisit after I provided the information requested by him. The first tech was a brute force type of repairman. While he did do a thorough cleaning, He did not fix the underlying issue. Would be very pleased if Sears was the main company providing service to my house.

The Service from our Claim was excellent, the Tech was very professional and knew his business. the only thing i have a complaint with is your System where a Tech has to replace an item in order to fix it to make it work right where they have to call in to you and get approval, he is told you would get back to him within "10" Minutes, well, we needed a part replaced in order to complete the job, it took you "25" MINUTES to respond to him!!!!! wasting OUR time as well as his before he can get to his next appointment. get it together people, meaning, either get more people to respond to your Tech's call request within that 10 minute time you designated for approval or figure out a way to "NOT" inconvenience your Clients time wise. figure it out!!!!!!!

I did not like getting my ac worked on and the next day my heater wouldn’t work. The ac company did not want to come back out and check if something was wrong, they stated I need to file a new claim with CHW. I called CHW back spoke with a rep who did not understand my issue. I ask to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with supervisor Ashley who understood my complaint and explained I would have to file a new claim. I still did not want to because I used my heater two days before the ac was worked on. I want to thank Ashley for explaining why I have to file a new claim. The heater company came out and I was very pleased with their service. I don’t want to explain what was left disconnected by the ac company, I don’t want to say the wrong thing. I’m not a ac or heater technician.Before the heater company left, Zack made sure the ac and heater was working, he also went outside to make sure he could hear the system running. A big shout out to CHW supervisor Ashley and Zack with JR MTS comfort for getting everything worked out. I was very pleased for the outcome.

The technician was knowledgeable and friendly. He explained everything. My washing machine was broken and needed several parts. Because of its age, the decision was made by the Choice Home Warranty people in the offices to replace the machine. He stayed here waiting for them to make a decision and then handled all the "paperwork" with me electronically with links and apps. It was very convenient. My review of the technician is fabulous. I will wait to review the COMPANY until I see how long it takes to actually get the check for the replacement. Hopefully, that will be quick too and I can leave them a good review as a company. I knew other people that had other home warranty contracts but some said the change to Choice because of better service and the contractors sent to your home are top shelf. Being a sole owner of my condo and living on a fixed income this company has been A GODSEND to me. Choice Home Warranty called Oceanview Heating and Air Conditioning Repair to come assess our HVAC unit because it kept freezing up. Oceanview determined that there was a leak in the A-Coil. We could repair the leak or opt for a new unit according to Oceanview. We really couldn't afford either option!! Oceanview proceeded to give us an estimate for the repair as well as several options for replacement. The were phenominal!! We opted for the replacement. As they were installing the HVAC unit we got a call form Courtney at Oceanview letting us know that Choice Home Warranty approved the repair!!! So, now even though we have a payment plan for the new HVAC unit, we will be able to put the money received from Choice Home Warranty towards the loan!! We were so surprised to be informed that Choice Home Warranty covered the repair!! That is terrific, and a great company to stand behind the warranty that they sell. Unlike the other"Home Warranty" company!!! I would highly recommend Choice Home Warranty and we will continue to keep them, they stand behind their product with perfection!!! I think Choice Home Warranty does a great job if it’s a covered item. I’ve had a few times that I’ve had a claim and it turned out to not be covered for an item I thought should have been covered. But for the most part I’ve had a great experience. They seem to be reasonably priced and the service fee seems to very reasonable. If you give them a try I don’t think you would go wrong. I’ve been a customer since 2015 and still going strong. I recommend Choice Home Warranty to everyone. If I get calls from other companies I tell them I’ve been with Choice Home Warranty for many years and I’m not interested in changing companies because they have done a great job and I couldn’t be any happier!!!!

I have been with CHW over 3 years and just renewed another 5 years. I'm very satisfy with the company. I would would recommend the superior plan. This plan covered just about everything in your house. I'm very skeptical person and never believed what I hear out there. CHW really eased my mine especially I have a dis able husband that can no longer can repair or fix things around the house. I had to called CHW many times for a different issues. The company is very prompt and easy to work with. If Choice can't fix it they will pay for what your appliance/ etc.. is worth. CHW is very fair. I'm very haapy with the company.

The communication between CHW and us concerning our service request has been great. We received several notifications from them letting us know the status of our service request. The first letting us know our request was being processed, a second one letting us know they were trying to locate a technician, and the final notification with an assigned technician with arrival date and time. We left out one of the most important notices we received. When CHW was having difficulty finding a technician, we received a notice listing other options with one giving us directions on how we could try to find a technician on our own. We really appreciated this option; however, we didn’t need to resort to it. Within a couple of days CHW was able to schedule a service call for us.

I was supposed to have two service people come out this week. The first one was supposed to come out on the 21st never showed up. I had to call them and they told me my appointment wasn’t until the next day on the 22nd but they said they wouldn’t be able to come then either because of the weather. On the 23rd I’ve booked someone for my refrigerator. His name was JESSE. He was wonderful. He even cleaned up the mess out under the refrigerator. Mr.L from Sears service was extremely professional and polite. He called when he was in route to my home to let me know when he would arrive. When he arrived he introduced himself and what he came to do. My husband took him to our washing machine and he listened to the issue and went right to work. We were told exactly what the problem was and how he was to remedy. The part had to be ordered so he set the return date two weeks out to install the part. Mr.L was kind and stated he would give us a call if the part came before the scheduled date. Definitely appreciate his timely response. We look forward to him returning.

Plumbing drain backed up in kitchen sink and needed professionally snaked to clear lines so called Choice Home Warranty. Claim was accepted in seconds. Within an hour a pluming service (Top Notch Plumbing Service) and appointment made for very next day. Plumber arrived early in window scheduled, assessed access to relief valve and in minutes with Snake cleaned out plugged line. Wife is happy, well worth 75.00 deductible. Never had a warranty program before so was skeptical but it really, really works and helps smooth out unexpected, otherwise costly repairs. Highly recommend Choice Home Warranty. Wes

we liked the service tech that was sent to fix our Samsung refrigerator for the third time. the wait time of 10 days was a little long but tolerable. the customer service person was very helpful and knowledgeable. the service repairman that worked on our refrigerator stated that the Samsung and LG refrigerators are poorly designed and they are constantly being called for ice buildup and ice maker failures. This was the third time that we had this done and will probably happen every six months or so. That's a lot of $65 out of our pocket and even more out of CHW. We have called about having the ice maker replaced but also inquired about having an offer from CHW to replace the Samsung refrigerator and purchasing a new refrigerator. The Samsung refrigerator is a 2014 model from the previous home owner. We purchased this house in 2020. We are very satisfied with our CHW decision to purchase a 5 year coverage back in 2021 and very glad that we did purchase it!!!! We have also recommended CHW to several of our friends and family.

The bleach tray in our LG washer was not emptying after a wash, and had a lot of water in it, so I filed a claim with CHW and the same day, within a couple hours, they had a company, FixSmart, that called me immediately to let me know a tech would be in the area that afternoon. Julio came out, took the washer apart, did diagnostic testing and assured me it was functioning normally. He explained in detail how the machine works by overflowing the trays to deliver the soap, bleach, and softener, but advised me to clean the trays and the drains well periodically. Hopefully his advice works, we'll see.

The second company you sent had knowledge and understanding of what was wrong and was not trying to be a shister like the first guy was who claimed he’d be back again and again so we may as well pay him $450 for a new opener. He said that you as a company would not approve a replacement opener! I told him that was false, and also told him if we had to call him back it would be still covered if within the first 30 days. He denied that too. When you sent the second company, Smith overhead garage doors that gentleman Gary knew what he was doing and correctly said that the door was slipping and the part that was bad could not even be replaced because they don’t make that part anymore because the door opener was at least 15 years old, if not older. The only disappointing thing was that it took your company too long to respond to his diagnosis so he left after an hour and a half and then couldn’t come back for several days due to going out of town to install the opener which was not his fault. When he was back in town, he installed a new opener and was very professional. I believe the first guy was just trying to get us to pay him so he would get money sooner and at a higher rate than through the contracted rate with the warranty. I would not recommend the first company diamond overhead garage doors, but I would recommend Smith we found Gary to be professional and honest. I only do not understand why I just rated another Repair Guy as zero, and was not given the opportunity to fill out one of these surveys, but when I read it, this person has a 10 for his good work I was then given the option of filling out a survey. Why do you not want details on the poor performance but you want more information for the good ones? That is against choice home warranty not this new company who just signed on with you. I am not sure that he will be with you long because he was frustrated that he waited so long for a response and was not being paid since he was the second opinion and he wanted compensated for his time because he should’ve been able to install it the same day that he was here the first time.

after requesting a home service for a leaking toilet water supply hose, I immediately disconnected the water supply and the leaking water supply line and waited for the service provider. The arriving service man from the plumbing company informed me that a repair and replacement would not be covered by my existing contract because, "The water line and the leaking water supply was disconnected by the homeowner"It appears that if any attempt to prevent the water leak or disconnect the supply line, "voids the repair as only the contractor has the right to touch or attempt to prevent continued water leakage and flooding". I verified this with my home warranty policy insurance company, and they verified the contractors statement. It was at this time I decided that we needed a better warranty company to protect our home and covered appliances. I was assured by Choice Home Warranty, this would never be considered a denied claim under the terms of their contract. I immediately switched my coverage to Choice Home Warranty. I'm grateful for their policy and I look adhead to a continued working relationship.

This is my first time filing a claim, but so far, so good. Put in a claim on 12/27. Received an email on the 28th saying the technician was scheduled to come to my house on the 29th. However, he called me in the afternoon on the 28th, asking if he could stop by later in the day. Very friendly. Diagnosed the issue and put the claim in the same day. Received an email from CHW a little later on saying the claim was approved. I accepted the conditions (a $350 fee for modifications, which is still cheaper than what it would have been without the warranty) and now I'm just waiting to see how long it'll take them to get the part and install.

I actually left for a while, for what I thought was going to be a better deal, but it turned out to be maybe less money at the time but far less quality service. This company seems to have higher standards for who they send out to the home, which in turn means a happier experience for me as the customer. I was with a much larger company before ever trying this company, and they would always send out the cheapest person they could contract. The problem with that is they would do shoddy work, and then have to come back out for a redo. They actually classified me as a high risk customer because of how many claims I had within a year and raised my rate by more than double. Because of that I found Choice, and have been very happy ever since. There have been very few callbacks since being with Choice home warranty, because I feel like they have higher standards to begin with. Value for the money is very good as well. Although the discussion does not come up very often amongst my friends, I would recommend this company if I were asked who I would recommend.

I had a plumbing clogging problem in my master bath and 2nd bathroom upstairs. The first technician did nothing; the second technician that came unclogged the master shower, toilet and the tub/shower combo in my second bathroom, but stated I needed a new toilet because he couldn't get it unclogged. I paid both service fees thinking my problems would finally be repaired. Today, ANOTHER technician came out and said I didnt need a new toilet, but the one I have needs to be taken up and the stoppage repaired under the toilet. I contacted Choice and explained what had gone on up to and including today's visit. I requested they send today's technician back out to do the repairs, which they agreed to and were kind enough to waive the service fee. Even with all the problems I've had with this incident, I've found that Choice is willing to work with me as a homeowner, so I am still comfortable giving them a good rating. They took the information down about the first technician who was sent and did nothing and hopefully, it will help keep a homeowner in the future not use them.

A single, retired neighbor sent me an article which named your company specifically for 1 of 10 ways to save money in retirement. My son-in-law and I contacted CHW Sunday afternoon by telephone to get more information. Your employee, Albert, was very patient with our numerous questions about your service. Though he did a great job of trying to close the deal without undo, uncomfortable pressure, we just wanted to talk and think about it. On Monday, today, we contacted Albert (tho other employees tried to reach me as well) by phone. He again was very gracious and patient as he explained your services and answered further, detailed questions we had. So, today, my son-in-law each signed up for a year contract. I also talked with neighbors that had great things to say about your company after having used you and received excellent service! Another neighbor also signed up recently. Thank you so much! I feel so much peace of mind in my 10 year old home. Albert--you were great. Thank you so much.

My air handler wouldn't come on when the heater was turned on. The fan only worked when NOT on the "auto" setting, so my heat pump was burning LP to make heat but had no way to automatically move the heat into the house. If I set the fan to ON, when the heat unit turned off after matching the thermostat setting, it would just blow cold air. So I called Choice Home Warranty to schedule the repair. They scheduled a service tech to service the unit the next day. After the diagnosis, CHW rescheduled the tech to return after gathering the necessary parts. As of the time creating this review, the repair order is still in open status but due for completion this Monday.

I previously purchased a home that included a home warranty from another company paid for by the seller at closing. The service technicians that they sent out were very low quality and had to make several return visits for the same issue and, in one situation, had left some electrical wiring exposed and so incorrectly wired that it was dangerous. I switched to Choice and the service techs that they contracted with were much more knowledgeable and competent. I like the fact that, with Choice, I am provided direct contact with a specific rep rather than always getting a random person in a call center.

We were very pleased with Choice Home Warranty. We placed a claim on line, and received an email confirming our claim with a date and time, along with the company who would be servicing our claim. They also sent a reminder email about our upcoming appointment, giving us the technicians phone number if we needed to change our appointment. Our technician arrived on time, was very friendly and kind. He talked to us first about our problem and then proceeded to check it out and finished with replacing our garbage disposal in a very timely manner. It went like clock work. The only downside about the entire claim process, was the amount of time we had to wait to have a technician come. Our problem was a garbage disposal that was frozen,,,we had to wait for six days,,,very hard to cook without a disposal these days.

Excellent! The tech was wonderful... experienced, super customer friendly and did the job the right was. He knew within 2 minutes why our heat was not coming on - the last tech (from another home warranty co.) I had here for the AC in April, changed the thermostat and forgot to place the wire in the thermostat that transitions the AC to heat - he put lock tight on the screws so you could not unscrew the screws to add the wire. Had to get a new thermostat and now, the heat engages. Oh and, that guy forgot to slide the switch to Electric from oil/gas - even if the wire was there...the heat still would not have come on, I mean...really! This tech was beyond excellent! Impressed!!!!!

I was hesitant about a home warantee. Then my 15 yr old A/C DIED. THE AIR HANDLER IN THE ATTIC NEEDED TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE OF A LEAK IN THE COIL. I WAS A LITTLE UPSET WHEN I WAS TOLD MY STILL WORKING COMPRESSOR OUTSIDE ALSO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I WAS TOLD THE OLD IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH THE NEW HANDLER BECAUSE THEY USE DIFFERENT FREON. I HAD TO JUNK THE OLD AND PAY FOR THE NEW. THATS OK I GUESS ITS NOT THEIR FAULT AND EVEN THOUGH IT STILL WORKED THEY WERE NOT RESPONCIBLE TO REPLACE IT. I UNDERSTAND AND EXCEPT THAT. NOW MY 15 YR OLD FRIG WHICH LOOKS NEW STOPPED WORKING AND I AM AGAIN GLAD I HAVE THIS POLICY. IT WILL BE FIXED IN A WEEK. THANKS CHOICE.

When I called Choice Home Warranty that I was going to be out of town the next day and I needed my dryer to be repaired ASAP, the repairman called my husband after he got through with the job he was doing in Kapolei, came to my home to repair the dryer since he was in the area. I didn't expect this service to that prompt. Besides fixing the problem, he also told my husband that he needed to change the heating element and he will order it and told my husband to call him when we returned from our trip. He told my husband that there was limited repair person and it might take a little longer but will try to accommodate his customers as best as he can. To me he values his customers.
