Beware of the fine print!!! While I've had some good experiences with Choice, I have had issues with others. First look at the "replacement" notes. If something needs to be replaced, they will only give you a "cash out" payment. In two instances, the payments did not come close to the actual cost of replacement. Rest assured I was only looking to replace items with comparable ones. Second: Do not be surprised if a determination of "not covered" is given. Again this seems to happen with larger items. In short; READ YOUR CONTRACT!!!!

(1) CHW response to service technician. Tech had not been authorized to move forward and complete repair until I did a status update call on all of my outstanding service calls several weeks after the initial service visit. (2) I never received a full copy of the contract. When I asked for a copy, I was sent a cop of the invoice which stated all systems covered, plan monthly cost, and service tech fee amount and figured this must be their contract. But when I was denied repair/replacement of my A/C unit, they emailed me this long memo with all of these reasons per my contract of why they would not honor the repair/replacement and when I told them I never received such a contract that they seem to be quoting from, I was told I could access it from their website.....REEAALLY??!!!!

I used them to repair a a/c unit. My problem was the 1st appointment for the a/c guy was 3 days from the time I sent in the claim. If I did not have 2 a/c units I would have been uncomfortable. I can get a a/c man to service me the same day most of the time.

I feel they need to ask questions of the homeowner, such as, is your home one or two stories. Sending out repair companies that are small businesses and do not have 30 ft ladders for a job should not be obtained by Choice for such jobs. It is a waste of the company's time as well as the owner whose air-conditioning is not working and needs repair.

We purchased an older home and the agent negated a contract with Choice. the first callout was for a commode that was stopped up. The repairman was prompt and corrected the problem. The second problem was that the hot water circulation pump was not working. The repairman failed to show 4 times at the appointed time. I insisted that they get another repairman and they did. Another problem was a stopped up kitchen sink. The repairman showed up on the appointed time and unstopped the sink. The last time a repairman was to repair the garage door opener. The repairman did a great job in locating the problem and correcting it.

It has been 21 days since my first request to fix my washing machine. I have tried to call and have been put on ridiculous holds (or call has been dropped)to speak with someone that cannot help me. They have contracted Sears with whom I am also not pleased and will not do business with them again. Apparently the part is on either back order or not available at all. It seems to me that someone should be able to call the supplier and find out about the part. They should have just replaced the washing machine by now. Also, it is difficult to understand most of the customer service people. I think it is great to hire people with different ethnic backgrounds but to put them in customer service where they need to speak with people doesn't seem like a good idea. Obviously, I am not happy and probably will not renew with Choice Warrenty.

They got back to me right away and sent a technician to fix my dishwasher. That was 6 weeks ago. The technician ordered parts, but we are still waiting for them. He has told us it is taking waaay longer to get appliance parts. That may be true, so it could be that everyone is doing what they can, but my dishwasher is not fixed and i still have to dry all the dishes and the dishwater is not as hot as it should be. Send me another request when i finally get it fixed.

We have filed two claims. The first claim was for a dishwasher and was handled expeditiously and problem solved. The second claim was for an air conditioning problem and still is not resolved 17 days later and technician is not scheduled to come out until 9 more days. When the company gave us the option of securing our own technician as they did not have one available, we contacted the person who had installed the air conditioning unit. What followed were several back and forth from the company to us, us to the technician and then us back to the company. Choice requested a video of the problem to us which we attempted to submit several times but which there system would not accept. It wanted pictures so, even though a video was requested, it would only accept pictures. After two or three phone calls to customer service with no resolution to the problem, we gave up and asked Choice to use one of the technicians they contract with. I'm hoping this is an isolated problem and will be happy to review any future experiences.

I like Choice Home Warranty except for one thing. I had to have the gasket changed on my toilet, which they paid for. The technician recommended I have my toilet snaked, and they denied that part of the claim. The tech said it was a good time to do it since the bowl had to be removed to do the work.

Because I am waiting for a month now and am told it will be at least another month before the third of 3 needed refrigerator parts is available. Have been without my kitchen fridge all this time and fortunately have old one in laundry room that is being inconveniently used. I realize it is not Choice's fault regards the back ordered part, but I have need to contact them for updates on this situation and I think they should be contacts me with updates.

Because I don't know the mechanics of my dryer the guy said the problem was because I had a lint built up and you don't cover this. I called someone who i had paid $350 and he stated that the noise I heard was because a screw was loose and that he could have fixed it without vacuuming the machine

Overall, they're good. Their customer service needs great improvement. I asked someone to return my phone call about my dishwasher, I still haven't heard anything. When I put in a request about my AC on 5/17, I asked about my dishwasher, the rep said the offer would be sent over, it still hasn't been. The answering service still says bc of covid-19, higher call volume. What does this have to do with anything??

We've had some that are very good. I would highly recommend Metro Appliance. But we have had some who tell us when they'll be here and they show up but it might be the next day which makes it difficult to be able to run errands or some things we need to do outside the house. One thing we called for we had to end up paying for it ourselves.

When I call into their customer support phone, they give me a great response. Sometimes you can't get ahold of managers though and fall off the radar if you need extra help. For example, I had a plumber come out last month to help with an outage. He said they don't pay for extra things I needed so I called a supervisor at Choice and they never responded to me.

Customer support at Choice Home Warranty is really nice! I've used my warranty three times. Once when I needed something fixed, I was given the runaround. Appointments were constantly moved around, parts didn't arrive, and I was offered an amount of money to replace something that wouldn't even cover the entire need. They choose mediocre companies to fix things in your home.

I chose Choice Home Warranty because I wanted to make sure I had coverage in case something breaks. Sometimes you can't get a hold of someone for a long time in customer service. When I used them for something electrical in my home, the guy they sent was horrible. He was breaking things and kept leaving loose wiring, and wouldn't call us back. I had a much different experience when my HVAC went out and the guy that came out did a fantastic job.
