I had my washing machine go out and they put in a new panel. And they said there were no problems. My water heater wasn't covered unless it was just a repair. It wasn't covered for the fact that it was old. They didn't cover my garage door opener. I don't mind having a warranty, but I want to see all those things written out. I don't want to call them to find out that it is not covered.

I'm happy so far. It's a good deal. I had a leaky toilet filler mechanism. I placed a claim online and the repair person was assigned that. They came a couple days later than I would have expected. It got taken care of quickly enough. I'm just annoyed with the nonstop emails telling my to sign up for a warranty that I already have.

I'm in the process of applying and it's not getting done. I called it in and a guy came out and he ordered parts. I had to go buy the parts myself and they still won't come out. They said they would contact me in 24 hours. I've never heard back so I am kind of disappointed right now. They say they're going to do something, but I'm not seeing the results yet. Some claims have been denied, and some have broken after the repair.

I would love to see a better, faster response to the problem. But other than that, the technicians that are showing up are good technicians. It took 3 days to get someone out when my toilet didn't stop running. Once they came out it was fixed and done. Overall, the experience is good.

I have a water heater that's gone bad in my house. I have had trouble calling in, they replied to the e-mail saying that this company will be out between these hours. That was yesterday and the technicians never showed. They stood me up. They didn't call. The time frame was from 7 to 11. They didn't call me till 1:45, to let me know they weren't coming. They said, well, how about if we come at 6:00 PM? I said, that's way too late. I had to have a friend let them in. They looked at the heater and they didn't speak English. She only spoke Spanish while they were in the house and they they looked at it for like 30 seconds. They never touched it. They just walked out. And the one guy walked to the car. The other one who said nothing, typed out some information on his phone and it must have been a translator because you showed it to him and he said. We're going to go back to the company and we're going to contact them and we'll hopefully see you in about 3 days. I'm still waiting for them to come back.

I've just not had a good experience. My dryer was broken and it was over a week later that they got a someone out. I paid the $85 and a full week later I heard from them that they were going to replace the unit. They would pay $300.00 when it retails for three times that. After three conversations, they increased the amount because they said that the tech had listed it as a Maytag. It was significantly more expensive, but they said the amount will be in the form of a credit and will be available in four weeks. So ultimately for two months I'm without a dryer and the amount they will give me is only paying for a percentage of what it is going to cost in replacement.

Never had an issue until we moved to a new home. Since we have had nothing but crap service. Ac quit in summer took over a week to get a service repairman out,, he then had to return a second time to actually fix the issue he didn't fix on the first visit.. not to mention he was a pervert and sexually harassed me and i told CHW this and they still sent the same man back.Went 2 weeks without heat when the temps dropped before they sent someone out to fix that problem. This is the 3rd call this yr for an electrical problem the serviceman put a plate cover on the outlet and charged us the service fee and left. Issue is still ongoing.

I have had 2 times within a few months of each other I needed to use my warranty. Both times my claims were handled. My dissatisfaction has more to do with lack of communication and in the case of our water heater, an excessive wait time. Also, in that case we had to pay for additional piping materials. We did get a huge upgrade on the WH since ours was no longer available. All in all I am thankful we have it; it has more than paid for itself. I just really wish there was much better communication.

They are not always real quick to respond. Choice sent someone out within four days for my refrigerator isssue, but I had to wait until the next week to get the part installed. When I contacted Choice back about it, they said the company said they didn't have an available installation date before then.

Better understanding from the Case Manager Sean W. A issue of uncertainty exist now b/c Case Manager Sean W was not willing to understand when the garbage disposal was replaced it damaged the dishwasher to unrepairable due the garbage disposal tech not connecting the dishwasher back to the garbage disposal correctly.

The reason I didn't give a full five star rating is because often times, they are unable to find a service technician and I must use the option where I have to find a repair man and get reimbursed. Although the reimbursement occurs, it takes 30 days to get my money back.

Biggest issue is that contrary to all of their advertising they do not pay the replacement cost. After you go through all the effort to file a claim, wait for the repairman, and then waste a day for the repair, you get the news that the repair will cost $xxx and warranty will pay approx half. Totally disappointing. Be honest and tell people that you only pay half. Your legalese buried on page 13 of your contract ruins any credibility that ever existed.

Quick response to sending technicians ... and all technicians have been really helpful and good. But if you have two things that go bad (oven, refrigerator) at the same time the fee is doubled. For one technician who handles both refrigerator and oven, it is billed as two visits though only one person shows up. Feels like that is a rip-off, and more can be done in this area. Working with someone on the phone is completely unsatisfying as the call center is outside of US and there is no context or support to get satisfactory answers.

The individuals that I've had the pleasure of interacting with were not as customer oriented or friendly as I would expect for a company that is supposedly providing warranty services for people's homes. I just did not think that the individuals who were assigned to my claim did the due diligence to research the actual home appliance that was in question and the money that they offered me to settle a replacement of the item was ridiculous. When you're talking about comparing one item to another, a stove top does not compare to a double wall oven. I'm trying to get out of my contract and get my money back because I paid for 3 years in advance.

They gave me the verdict that it needed to be replaced. The only downfall is that they said that it could take 15 to 30 days to get the gift cards to get a new refrigerator. We had a couple issues and Choice was not able to help and I was a little disappointed. They wouldn't even listen to what the problem was. One issue was a range. When we first moved in, the range was inoperable. It was very unsafe. We called the warranty department on it. They sent a technician out. He agreed that it was really unsafe, but he said that he could not recommend it to be replaced, but that he could put in the notes that we wanted it replaced or do like a replacement value or something. I can't remember the exact wording but he said as long as the parts were available that would be what he would have to do. When I called Choice Warranty to talk to them about it, they said sorry, there's nothing we can do. The technician said that it would be fixed and that's all there is to it. And they said, we see your notes, and we saw that he said it was unsafe. We saw that you said it was unsafe, but it's fixable.

I've only used it twice. The first time I used it was for a plumber who didn't come. I called him, he said, "Oh, I thought you cancelled." And we hadn't cancelled. He did come and he was very nice, but he didn't tighten all the screws and the toilet leaked, but luckily my partner was able to fix that. The last time, which we just used last week or two weeks ago, was the air conditioning guy and he was very good. He came on time, he called me before he came, he fixed the problem and knew what to do and he was good.

I like how quickly I am contacted when I make a claim, however I have been less than impressed with the quality of the technicians. My last service call was to repair my dishwasher. The technician arrived and diagnosed a motor issue. I paid his fee, and never heard back from him. I had to hire another technician to repair my dishwasher because I had been unable to use it for a month.

He fixed the inside of the toilet because the toilet wasold and he was thinking that they were going to replace it, but they didn't. They just ended up you have to redo all the inside.

I had a plumbing backup. The company choice sent out a Plumber and I think he was able to correct the problem within the first day. Customer service looked into a problem I had with coverage on one item and it was cleared up very quickly.
