Hard to communicate with and can’t speak with supervisor to get answers. We had our hit water tank start leaking water. It’s 16 years old and needs to be replaced. We can’t take showers and have to pay for a hotel to take one until it’s replaced. The company that AHS has assigned to our problem can’t come out until late Friday. They’re not coming out to replace. But to look at it. Meaning we have to wait until next week to get it replaced costing us hundreds of dollars in hotel bills. They should cone out to replace and be done with it! They said they can’t do that and no one had called us back from AHS.

My "welcome call" was great. I have put in to have service in the past 2 weeks and I have had to wait on hold for hours. I have a broken refriderator and I still have not received any type of follow up. The fridge uses old refrigerant and upon inspection the coils burned the tech. I believe this is a hazard and needs to be replaced but I have yet to get a resolution here.

The service repairs are fine. Those would be a 5. Customer service from American shield on phone is a one. You cannot reach anyone. I had to resort to writing a letter to the Corporate office to cancel my Pkumbing call. Simply unacceptable service from them.

I have used them twice, the first time they failed to get someone in my area to do the job, had to call them and they failed to find someone to do the job. Needed up funding my own rekey for less than the copay! The second time my AC went out I ended up paying the copay and $200.00 for R22 a total out of pocket of $300.00 make your own opinion. They only pay $10.00 for any refrigerant!

On April 25, 2020 I placed a call for service for the property at 974 Deltona Blvd, Florida for several plumbing issues with my biggest concern being the toilet. It wasn't until May 2nd that it was finally fixed but to get to this point I had to endure over 16 hours worth of phone calls, repeatedly asking to speak to a supervisor with no avail. It wasn't by pure chance that I was transferred to Carlton and he went out of his way to help my uncle (disabled senior citizen) have his toilet replaced after 7 days. This was the only toilet in the bathroom at the home during a pandemic and he was left with minimal choices to take care of his necessity - inhumane!! In addition to that the other issues still have not all been completed. How many times must I call to have the issues resolves and to top it off your phone systems during this pandemic have been unacceptable - the non working systems should have been addressed asap their are people depending on your services which you get paid quite well. I have 3 contracts and I am reconsidering it if the customer service aspect does not improve!

They often decline claims for “speculation” reasons. For example, the contractor inspecting a heat transformer claimed that it “could have” been cause by a gecko, or “could have” have been cause by power surge, or “could” just be old. They declined because it was a possibility of being cause by a “pest” which is excluded from coverage. No proof of what caused it, just speculation,so they declined coverage. This has happened twice.

We have had them for years and for appliances they have been great. However, when it comes to heating and air their choice of contractors leaves something to be desired. We have in the past 3 years have had instances requiring the services of a heating and air company through AHS which has proved to be a complete mess. Each time AHS has sent A1 Quality HVAC to our residence and they have sent clueless individuals, and have created problems that either required that they send someone else out, or a bad diagnosis causing us to call in a HVAC company not covered by AHS. AHS needs to get another HVAC company to represent them.

When I initially called and was assigned a plumber who had some very bad internet ratings, I asked to get another plumber but after a huge amount of time on the phone, I was there way I could have another plumber. I finally had to cancel the service request and reinstate another service request to get a plumber who was superb.

AHS got a service person out quickly but he said my washing machine was not repairable. I was told I would be emailed with options. That’s been 5 days and not a word. There is no way to communicate through my account. I call phone numbers and wait on hold for 30 minutes. Call again and wait 10 and then I see this email requesting my review. Maybe you guys at Best can contact someone for me.

When you have 2 different systems break you have to call in the requests. There is no guarantee the proper action will b taken. If my up stairs and down stairs heat pump is broke I can’t fit them on the same request.

There is nothing that stands out about there service. In most cases the monthly rates are higher. If you have issues--can't get a person the the phone and if you do get a person there is a communication problem. You have to talk with several people to get the right info. This can be exhasting and irritating

After paying a service fee monthly, customers are then charged a $75 fee each time a service call is placed. This service call fee is too high. Secondly, there should be the ability online to submit a recall ticket for same issue without being charged another service fee.

But the contractors or undermining the company by reporting in accurate information to solicit the business for themselves so American Home shield can decline the work getting done and American Home shield doesn’t do anything about it.

When replacement parts are needed, the contractors use lower quality parts/equipment. In one instance I asked if I could pay the difference for a better part and they said it wasn't allowed.

It's easy to call and file a claim. Most items filed are covered. Service is reasonably quick. Sometimes I have to wait for awhile for parts to come in, but that is more the service company's issue.

So far, I've had 2 claims, and both times, they sent competent repair person to fix the problem and there wasn't any problem with the CLA m being covered
