This service was originally an optional add-on to my mortgage 9 years ago. The coverage and price sounded good, so I signed up. In those years, I have made at least 4 service requests, and all have been handled expeditiously and satisfactorily. When my mortgage company stopped offering the service, I signed up on my own immediately. This has been a company and service I have really been glad I got, and have recommended it to anyone who asks.

We have had AHS contract for over a year. This was the second time within the last two months we have had to use our warranty. AHS was great. They notified the contractor and we received a call within a few hours with the scheduled date and time they would be here. Both times, the contractor was here when he said he would be here. Both times, he fixed the issue within an hour. The contractor was very professional and knowledgeable. Purchasing the home warranty is the best thing we have ever done.

I am thoroughly pleased with my last service request. The technician was willing to work around MY schedule after work hours, which means I suffered no lose in income on top of the service fee. He came right on schedule day one; troubleshot the problems and ordered parts. 2 working days later he was back (After work hours THANK YOU!) and repaired both the washer and dryer. I have ran 15 loads through them since the service and they are back to "Like New" operation. Like I said 10/10 100% satisfied! GREAT JOB, THANK YOU!!!!

I did finally schedule an appt and agent came right on time and quickly assessed the wobbly fan issue, which fortunately was able to secure ceiling fan! Next he addressed issues with lights in kitchen ceiling and garage ceiling flourencent lights and changed the ballasts and was great in informing what he used as all updated now, plus what type and size bulbs to use the next time!

I have had two plumbing issues occur Since I have been a customer of American Home Shield. American Home Shield goes above and beyond. I pay the service fee under my plan of $100. And expert is immediately assigned to my problem. An appointment is made, and the problem is fixed. The plumbers they have come to my house a professional and helpful. This home warranty program is excellent!

Our heat stopped working, and the contractor sent by AHS identified the problem as the furnace fan motor having failed and got a replacement part delivered and installed in less than a week. While installing, he found that dirt and seal leaks of the fan would weaken the motor, and he cleaned and resealed at a reduced charge, since we were AHS customers (these items not covered by AHS). Better service than we have had in the past by the company that originally installed our furnace.

I love the fact that when I call to have my washer repaired,I was scheduled for someone to come out and repair the machine the same day.. I told the rep. the problem I was having with the machine,they ordered the parts, and when the parts were in,I was called and given a day and time when the tenacial would arrive. The tenacial was on time and repaired the machine in a timely manner.

Had central air heating issue. Turned on heat in my upstairs unit and started smelling burning (and not the first use burning off dust). Called AHS and the representative assisted me in selecting correct issue (heating) and a repair company was assigned in a matter of minutes. Scheduled for the company to come out and within a 30 min window my issue was resolved (burned out blower motor).

This is a great insurance program that gives me peace of mind. Not worrying about things going wrong that cost money to take care of is well worth the cost of my policy. Since I started with AHS, I had two problems arise in my home. I got on line and went to the AHS website, put in my information and had an immediate reply with the name and number of the contractor to call. Just that fast! I am a customer for life!

My experience with AHS has been one if great satisfaction. ALL service calls has been resolved timely, and the service technicians are very couteous. The customer service reps are also courteous and have answered all my questions professionally. The monthly service plan is very unaffordable. When I needed a replacement, i received my replacement in a timely manner. There were no long wait times between the service and installments.

Every time we have an appliance problem American Home Shield is empathic, responsive and they meet their commitments. Of course on a rare occasion, things don’t happen as expected such as getting parts in a timely manner. But even in these cases AHS works with the contractor to resolve the problem. We have been with AHS for at least 15 years and couldn’t imagine not having their support. We are customers for life.

I think the that her supervisor, Jeremy, and the company should know about the "over the top customer service" that she provides. I was very disappointed when my a/c unit stopped working. I thought I would really have to go deep into my pockets for the repair this time, but with American Home Shield I was covered with only a small deductible. The dishwasher went out shortly after I closed on my property. I called AHS and a technician was dispatched immediately. Once it was determined that the unit could not be fixed, AHS provided an option to have an eCard delivered to replace the dishwasher, which I accepted. I’ll pick out the new dishwasher tomorrow and have it installed. In a nutshell ... immediate response, evaluation, and prompt resolution as contracted. I can’t ask for any more than that! Thanks American Home Shield!!

My gas furnace wasn't working. I logged a service request on the site around 10am. Got a call from the service tech about an hour later and he was at my house by 1pm the same day. Needed to order a part, that came in three days later. Was able to schedule the tech the next day to replace the part and he got my heater going again. Great server, great communication, and a very easy process

Things have vastly improved since the last time I had to call American Home Shield for service, thank goodness. That time it took days to get some one to come out, and weeks to get the part and repair my refrigerator, I was not happy. This time Plumber and Electrician were dispatched the same day that I called for service. Each repair person called promptly and arrived as promised. Repairs were made and items checked to make sure all was working before they left. I am very happy with the dispatch and service technicians responsiveness, much improved. Thank you!

American Home Shield's process for submitting a service request is both reliable and efficient. Communication and the response time were both very favorable. Although the initial appointment time was significantly exceeded, the company representative that performed the work was extremely professional and communicated with me throughout the day to ensure that I knew his status. Once on-site, he fixed the issue promptly and made sure I knew the cause of the problem. He also had some tips regarding future preventative maintenance.

All services have been promptly addressed by AHS. I can suggest that they not use contractors that do not have full time office reception as if they do not perform the services correctly it takes a very long time to get them to notify AHS that they were not able to fix a problem. This delays a followup service from a replacement service provider.

The mechanic came by for the 2nd time within 30 days. Magnetic tape around inside of the Refrigerator's dpor was not not workingto well. There was lots of condensation inside of refrigerator because seal was not holding. Repairman was very professional and knew his craft. But, my refrigerator is 40 years old! It should be replaced instead of continuing parch work.

Serviceman recommended by AHS came out to see why our wall oven was not working. Said he would have to contact AHS as the parts needed were no longer available. AHS notified us that they would replace the wall oven. They ordered one for us and the original serviceman came back out and did the switch out. My wife and I are very pleased with the new oven. The service from AHS was great.

Ordering of needed replacement part was timely and arrangement of second visit to install it was quick and easy. Our upstairs toilet was leaking, the first floor bathroom shower wouldn’t work while using the upstairs shower, and the kitchen sink faucet was leaking. Called AHS was able to get an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. Technician arrived diagnosed the problems, made repairs/replacements as needed and made recommendations on other repairs that couldn’t be addressed by AHS.

I have had only on occasion of disagreement. That was when I experienced a Septic Tank electrical problem that I felt should have been cover but was not covered. They did not respond until Monday but I understand it was the weekend. I was impatient as the AC was out and it was 110 degrees. After I called the AHS office on Sunday they reached the contractor and he said he would call Monday. I called him on Monday Morning and they were at our house by about 9:30 and had the AC working before noon. Greatly appreciated. Slept cool that night :) Thank you

I have three townhouses and a home insured with AHS. Had all three AC go out on the townhouses during the heat of the summer. It was easy to file a claim. The AC folks took several days to get out but understandable due to hot weather. But they had the AC going quickly. One of the townhouse had the tankless water heater go out. The plumber came out and advised they had to order a new unit. It has been a week and no word from the plumber. Interesting in that the plumber send me a text at 9:04 am advising a technician was on the way. I waited for three hours and no it nw showed up. Tried to call the plumbing company and got no response. Called AHS and they apologized and called the Plumbing company and they advised no one was coming out and did not give any indication when they might. This is s part that could be purchased at Lowe’s or Home Depot. Still no word from the Plumbing company. Very disappointed in their selection of plumbers.

They were incredibly user friendly with a quick turnaround. We've only used them once, so far, but the experience was seamless and they did their due dilligence to make sure our A/C got fixed by making a follow up trip after the initial service call - for no extra cost. And we appreciate how they pulled the two, top-rated vendors for us to choose from, but also gave us the option to look at other vendors (which we didn't need to).

I called AHS with a request for repair of my 1997 side by side refrigerator. The automated call was prompt in giving me a confirmation number and name of local repair company. The company was prompt calling me to set up repair call. That was within 48 hrs & tech appeared within the estimated time frame. He was quick to diagnose the parts needed. I now am awaiting AHS's call with what will happen.

Usually, I get a call back right away setting up an appointment for the service man to come but this time I got a text setting the appointment, not asking if that time worked out or not. Luckily this time it did...They were on time, efficient. Wish I would have gotten an update from the service man, even a text would have been sufficient. I got the "ok" it's done by the tenant.

We noticed that our home was getting hot on A Saturday morning. I submitted an online claim to AHS and assumed that it would only be acted on on Monday. I received an email from the HVAC company on Saturday ( same day) and a notice that my call had been scheduled on Sunday.My system was repaired and working by noon on Monday. Some people say it’s a waste of money but I totally disagree. When moving into a home you know nothing about how is one to budget for the unknown. I’ve had two policies with these guys and each time I’ve discovered issues and things broke. How experienced are you at picking a plumber or electrician, not. These guys do all the hard work and I’ve had nothing but the best experience with AHS and there contractors. Best money I’ve ever spent!

Once again, I have been treated very fair by AHS. It did take a little longer to get the repairs made, but not entirely the fault of AHS. The servicing company AHS sent out, although very good, the initial contact was not completely reported, in my personal opinion. I am not unhappy with the servicing company, just could have been handled a bit better.

I arrived home from vacation and discovered shortly after my arrival that my central air conditioner was not working properly . I turned off the unit and called AHS, I received notification that I would be contacted by a repair service within 24 hours. I was notified within 12hours that a technician would arrive the next day. The service provider arrived the next day, diagnosed the problem, and was able to install a new pump for the AC. Professional , courteous service, Thank you AHS

Experience with AHS has been great all through the years. Gives a great peace of mind knowing that all key appliances, plumbing etc are covered. Their pricing is very reasonable, and they have a wide range of skilled technicians across the country. Always had quick responses from them on all service calls and all issues have been resolved speedily. Never have to worry about skill of technician, repair cost or parts or ordering! Just pay the co-pay, and you are all set. AHS is like an investment for me, and has more than paid back in value, benefits and cost savings!

American home Shield is wonderful from the web page the first people you talk to the ease of adding a claim. The easy use of the web site, The ease if you need to put in a repair report. The fantasic people along the way that help you. The ease of using and working with people who love their job and more important the company they work for. Everyone is so helpful. Makes the problems so small because they the staff help you work through a claim and gt the best service for your home. It is the best company I so love working with AHS. The initial Tec plummet was inept and said he couldn't do finish the job. When a Real Plumber came out he axas able to do the job easily and professionally. He is great from Your Texas Plummer. Truly professional. Had the AHS customer Service representative listened to me from the start it would have been much better. But the plummet from Your Texas Plummer was Great

I have used American shield for my repairs and I always have a great quick experience. People just need to be flexible. They could not fix my machine and I loved it and they ordered me a new one the same day. Now that is excellent service! The repair man here in Colorado- Chris's appliance and repair was so professional and caring. The heating and cooling company's owner advised, without the home warranty the new heating and cooling system would have cost $6,000.00 to $8,000.00 dollars out of pocket. Thank you AHS!

American Home Shield has, for the most part, been worth the price we've paid for the home warranty service it provides. On the positive side, it is very easy and quick to initiate a claim online. Additionally, in our experience, the company's AHS have used or contracted with have always provided timely, highly qualified, professional, courteous and friendly technicians. One relative new plus AHS offers now is the ability to live chat with them. Our first and only use of this feature recently was very positive including short wait time (3-4 mins)for customer service rep to be available for chat session. On the less than positive side, AHS seems to be understaffed with customer service reps when it comes to contacting them via phone, not only for customers such as us, but also the contractor performing the repair. Just recently, pr AHS contractor was in our home waiting a good 30-45 mins to get approval to perform the job after he diagnosed what needed to be done. I have waited over an hour on hold in a couple of prior occasions since subscribing with AHS almost 2 years ago. That is the big frustration when it happens for sure. I suspect AHS is not alone with this issue in their industry but it does seem a simple problem to fix by expanding their CSR staff. Again, the live chat ability now seems to definitely be an improvement to their CSR contact experience. The only other disappointment is what AHS replacement considers equivalents, for major appliances specifically, falls way short of replacing the appliance with an equivalent appliance and at least in our case they were offering a different brand that didn't have all of the features that our original appliance had . Wr took cash out option and paid the difference so the appliance would match its companion appliance. All of that said, we do plan to renew or annual contract with AHS when our current contract expires. The good service provided still outweighs the less than positive concerns. No doubt, AHS is not alone in their industry concerning these concerns.

After I submitted my claim to AHS, it was immediately assigned to Appliances and More (who, in turn, contacted me and set up an appointment). The technician was prompt and solved my issues; there were two. The microwave needed a part (a board). It arrived in a few days and he was immediately dispatched to our home and it was repaired in minutes. Kirk was professional and courteous.
